Let's see: Doing the math, that's $125 per day, which usually just gets you an average room in this town... nothing special.

Here is my list of hotels with in-room hot tubs. I can't guarantee you'll find a room for $125.

The Portofino Hotel: This romantic resort in Redondo Beach, CA has several private whirlpool tub rooms with views from the private balcony that overlook a quiet marina on the Pacific Ocean. Spa and wedding packages offered too.

Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica: The honeymoon suites at this Sheraton in Santa Monica, CA provide you with your very own spa tub on a private terrace with ocean view.

Vagabond Inn Long Beach: The Vagabond has in-room hot tubs at affordable rates. Close to waterfront Long Beach, CA attractions like the Queen Mary.

Best Western Royal Palace - this popular Los Angeles inn offers it's guests an outdoor pool, exercise room, as well as 2 popular Jacuzzi® suites for romantic nights in L.A.

(I didn't include the Hollywood Renaissance because you said "affordable". The HR averages around $400 per night.

The Hollywood Renaissance is very nice and around the corner from hollywood and highland a very fun place for visitors. Its a high quality hotel with super cozy beds and a hot tub! :) I would say this is a good place to go it may not be the cheapest one you will find but its on the lower price range of the nice hotels in a good area. Have a great trip! If you want to learn about great places to LIVE in la I actually just wrote a blog about it : http://leadingladyla.blogspot.com/2009/1...

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
