Atlanta Hotel?

I am looking for a hotel near Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, GA. I need free airport shuttle and want a pretty nice place at a decent rate. Where should I stay? Anywhere to avoid? It MUST be close to the airport!!! Thank you!!

In addition to the above:

There's a Holiday Inn Express in College Park with 24 hour shuttle service:

And a Fairfield Inn And Suites (Marriott) Atlanta Airport South in College Park with shuttle service and you can get good deals on rooms, especially if booking through a service.

The Hilton Atlanta Airport:
I know the Westin Atlanta Airport hotel has 24/7 shuttle service - and weekend rates can be half of weekday rates. If you're booking through a service - don't overlook trying to get a room there or the Hilton.

There are a handful of Sheraton Hotels, too. Stick to your major chains and you should be fine (and they should all have good deals on travel sites).

You can get to the airport on the marta train so it does not need to be close to the airport. There are some nice hotels near the Peachtree Centre MARTA station, that are the only interesting thing to see in Atlanta. You will pay through the nose for a hotel near the airport, because that is what is in demand.

I like the Embassy Suites off Riverdale Rd. Nice atomosphere, spacious two room suites and indoor swimming and more. It cost a little more than average at around 125 per night, but when you consider cooked to order breakfast (no continental breakfast here) and drinks from 5-7pm are included in that rate it is easy to see why its worth a few extra dollars. The Westin is right across to street and is very nice but its abit pricey and does not have the room space nor the included amenities mentioned above. Stay away from the hotels on Riverdale (south of 285) and Old National Highway. Those areas are crime infested and notorious for problems. The hotels in those areas are very low budget and unkept.

This place is beside six flags, and about 15 minutes from the airport, but its nearly new, and very inexpensive. Its the Wingate Inn at six flags. Its 2 years old all of the enmities, and they have a shuttle to the airport, for less than $100 per night. My wife worked there while she was in college, and its nice and quiet. i have recommended it before, and it was a hit. try it you can only save yourself a lot of money. There is no charge for parking there, either.

Most in that area have shuttles to the airport. Stay on Camp Creek Pkwy area.

Atlanta has nice hotels. You should go to a hotel!! Be careful staying close to water, there are storms down in that area. Matter fact you shouldn't even go to Atlanta.
