We are getting married in Miami FL then leaving to go on the Royal Caribean Cruise that day. I need a nice hotel near the Port of Miami. Can anyone recommend some good hotels around there?
Head over to http://www.resideo.com/us/florida/miami/
and click the "Check Availability" button. Choose your dates, submit the form, then select "Cruise Line Terminal" from the 'distance' dropdown -- that'll sort the results, putting those closest to the Port first (and show you how many miles away each is).
You can then read about each hotel, view pics & book online.
Depending on your budget, you've got plenty of options. The Riverside is nice, and only 100/nite. The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale is superb (130/nite).
Hope that helps. Good luck, and congrats!
South Point is on Miami Beach. You can walk across the street to the Nemo or any of ten dozen hotels within about two miles on Ocean Drive or Collins Ave.
The Port of Miami is a few miles away. The closest really nice hotel is the Intercontinental on the park facing the port. The Holiday Inn is even closer but not as nice.

Well there are plenty of nice hotels near by in Miami Beach which is very close to the port of Miami. Also the Downtown Miami area is not a bad area. The Intercontinental Hotel and the 4 seasons hotel are the nicest in Downtown, Downtown Miami is right next to the port, but at night there is not as much to do in Downtown than there is in Miami Beach.
My recommendation is stay some where on Miami Beach, South of 22nd street on either Collins ave, Washington Ave, or Ocean Drive.
Right where the port is a bad area but right across the bridge you have South Beach which is like 4-5 miles, super quick cab ride or car ride. In south beach you have awesome hotels. Nice- Loews, Clevelander Very Nice- The Delano, Setai, Ritz-Carlton
All are within a 10 minute cab ride at most, from the port!
Have Fun, hope it helped!
