Per my question above: mapquest says 22mins. or so and I am just trying to sort out city travel time. **Also, is the Sheraton Crescent as bad as all the reviews I have read? Anyone in Phoenix area privy to the status? Cheers and Thanks!
I would have to agree with the 22 minutes, but then again it also depends where in Laveen you are going. Really, going there, I would stick with the freeway because the number of traffic lights you would have to go through by staying on the surface streets I think would take longer.
As far as the Sheraton Cresent, I always thought that was a very pretty place. Don't know of any bad reviews of it. Maybe people are just picky?
I've always thought the Sheraton Crescent was lovely though I've never stayed there I have been there for a huge luncheon. If you are not traveling during rush hour, 22 minutes is probably accurate, if you are traveling between 6 am and 9 am then probably 45 minutes to an hour and between 3:30 and 6:30 pm again 45 minutes to an hour. I would avoid the freeways and just take Dunlap to 35th Avenue and take 35th Avenue south...it runs right into Laveen.
I've always thought the Sheraton Crescent was nice and well maintained. But I would go with the Pointe South Mountain Resort closer to Laveen and a whole lot nicer! How do you get to my Old Home Town of Laveen?
Depart Sheraton Cresent Hotel at 2620 W. Dunlap Ave, Phx., AZ.
Turn LEFT (West) on Dunlap merge to inside lane then go over the I - 17 [Black Canyon Fwy]; Turn LEFT (South) onto access road stay on the inside, left onto the I - 17 go about 6.9 miles stay on out side lane at the 200A exit RIGHT (West) onto the I - 10 [Papago Fwy] drive about 3.2 miles to exit 139 [51st Avenue]
at 51st Ave turn LEFT (South) for about 7.1 miles is Dobbins Road. now your in the Heart of Laveen. Total time is 20 to 25 minutes.
