I am from Huntsville Alabama and I'm going to Atlanta in October for a concert at Aarons Amphitheater. I was told that the arena is not in the safest area and if I wanted to stay the night I should to go into down town Atlanta. What are some nice and most importantly safe hotels to stay at? I will only be...

If you're willing to spend a bit we have the Hilton, Westin, Mariott Marquis, and Hyatt Regency. They are smack dab in the middle of downtown and they each connect to each other. You'll have an excellent view being in downtown. You'll be right near the Aquarium, World of Coca Cola, and Centennial Olympic Park. If you rather stay in midtown, the W hotel is great and the Omni hotels are too. If you want to check out a celebrity hotel try Georgian Terrace, which is right across from the Fox Theater. More recent hotels include Loews and 12 Hotel. Also, Four Seasons is a nice hotel.
If you don't mind being a little further away in Buckhead the Ritz Carlton is the finest around and right next to Lennox Mall where some expensive shopping can be done.
