My friend and I decided to take a day trip to Chloride, AZ to see the famous Roy Purcell Mural somewhere out in the Cerbat mountains and we stopped at Yesterday's where John the owner and Crystal shared not only some of their wonderful dishes but some of the lore of the area. I had delicious chili with cheddar and raw onions over a baked potato and it was very good and held me for the rest of the day. It's the only restaurant in that part of the dessert but they still served great food. Their specialty is the 2 pound burger (enough to feed the family) but they had a turkey, swiss and tomato on sour dough that was a knockout. John is from NY and Crystal is from NJ and they are just so nice and friendly. If you're heading to Chloride, do stop in and try their wonderful food. I had a piece of chocolate layer cake that they flew in from PA and it was delish. You won't be disappointed. Did I mention that they have entertainment every night of the week?

Yesterday's makes the best burgers I've ever had. The burger itself is hand made and not like these so called processed patties and you are given the fillings alongside and the bun is nicely toasted. Chloride is a nice little get away from the rat race.

Charming atmosphere.  The food was very good.  The burgers were great and the sweet potato fries were tender on the inside with a nice crispy outside.  If you're looking for a rustic ambiance and traveling on 93, this is a great place to visit.  If you're feeling adventurous, try the Tower of Spam!

I've eaten here a few times over the years. We've even spent a night at the motel which I believe is owned by the same people who own the restaurant.

It's always been a pleasant experience. The owners are great as is the food.

If you enjoy getting out and away from everything you'll enjoy spending a night in Chloride.

Long drive, tired, middle of nowhere...sorry Arizona, but this one is not on your top 10 city list...and hungry. There's a signpost up ahead...next stop the Twilight Zone. At least it felt that way. Chloride is the name of the town, population 346, prospectors, and nice folks, just four miles up the paved roadway. On the way into the establishment a gentleman in a black rhinestone studded black sport coat passed by us. Seemed a bit out of place. It was Friday night, the full menu was fairly extensive, but it was all you could eat fried fish and onion rings night. Yep, all you could eat. It was delicious. I mean excellent for beer batter fried fish and rings. They offer 120 brands of brew to cool you off.

The place was very large, and mostly empty, then a group came in and grabbed a table, then another and another. The fish must be famous. The place pretty well filled up in 30 minutes.

The guy in the sport coat came back in. Turned on his music machine, and began to sing all varieties of tunes. He is good enough to sing anywhere. He pulled on a red bandana with two long gray braids and sang, you guessed it, Willie Nelson. Twilight Zone is right, he even sounded like Willie at his best. We got up and danced like the rest of the  crowd. We felt like locals.

If you see a sign post up ahead, and it says Chloride, the welcome mat is out, the food is good, and the entertainment, terrific!

Great after a long day of riding in the mountains near by. Amazing Monte Crisco and fried chicken. Had a full bar with alot of good beers. I would go back again. Also local told us to go to shady lady antique store up the road. It was a hoot!

Ate lunch here last week while on a Harley ride with friends. Service was good and the food was hot and promptly delivered.  We couldn't decide if the bacon cheeseburgers were better than the tower of spam sandwich so we decided that on the next trip we would have them cut each sandwich in half so we could share.  We each wanted what the other ordered.  It was all good.  Will definitely return.
