History

Established in 1984.

Built by a father and son team.  The Conference Center, Restaurant, and Lounge are located in main building with the sleeping rooms in two buildings behind, separated by a large parking lot. The intent of the time was to have meetings in one location while the wives and children would be in another location with pool activities during business hours. With grander dreams of expanding to a "village" of shopping and events on-site--back to where the airport is today--they opened in 1984.  It has changed hands a few times over the years, the latest ownership took possession in 2008. Featuring the largest Hall in the Verde Valley holding up to 240 people, now is used for receptions, weddings, conferences, parties and more.  The Restaurant/Lounge is now ran by Olivas' that opened in November 2013 offering special family recipes for Mexican cuisine. The Hotel has 51 rooms with a mixture of king or queen rooms.

The room is in great shape, the pool area is well done, the free breakfast is HUGE, and the staff is nice and helpful- all of this for a low price!  You get your money's worth here.  I wanted to spend one day in Jerome and one day in Sedona and this location was the perfect in-between!  I strongly suggest you stay here.

The room was clean and spacious and you can't beat the complimentary breakfast that has a machine that makes pancakes, cool!  The pool area wasn't open during the time we stayed.  The location is perfect, 5 minutes from old town Cottonwood, 25 minutes to Sedona and 15 minutes to Jerome.  The hotel is in a quit area and the restaurant on site had a great selection of tastey margaritas!

I only give a two star because they offer a military rate otherwise I would not pay a normal nights fee. The staff was rude and acted like we were a burden for needing a room. Once we got in our room it was hot, the beds were hard, the outside light didn't work, the tub didn't hold water, there was no decor it was very bland, and the bathroom floor was dirty. The upkeep of pool area was bad, it was the saddest pool, broken chairs, one or two lounge chairs and awnings with only the poles. We didn't stay for breakfast we got out as soon as we could.. Iv seen and stayed in better Quality inns

UPDATE:  thanks to Candy for replying to my review and again being zero help. All that you did is put your paying customer at blame. I take responsibility for leaving my property behind, but when your hotel found it, WHAT HAPPENED TO IT?? Did my stuff disappear?? A ghost took my leather jacket? I'm sure it's cleared out before the next guest so it went somewhere. You are a highly unprofessional and shady hotel and continue to not offer any type of compensation for the over $200 of belongings left in the room. Despicable!

Ended up staying here because it was the closest we could get to Prescott on fourth of July weekend. The room was great, staff was friendly and courteous. They called us a few minutes after check-in to make sure everything was OK.

Room was clean with plenty of room, overall very pleased with the stay.

Worst experience I have ever had! Upon our arriving our rooms were not what we requested I was traveling with 5 children and one disabled elder so we requested rooms the join, well that didn't happen and told us that there was nothing they could do. Entering our rooms we noticed we didn't need to key to get in all you had to do was push the door open and the door opened no key at all... I don't have to tell you how unsafe that was. We had just finished driving 9 hour straight so of course we needed to use the restroom well I couldn't just use the bathroom because there was dried urine on the seat which I had to clean because my children needed to use the Restroom. Calling down to the front desk to inform them about the situation she because hostile almost immediately because we were COMPLAINING. I told the girl on the phone how unhappy we were and because there was no manager for me to speak with I was going to contact corporate office to file my complaint this sent her over and told me why am I complaining she didn't do anything and she is 6 months pregnant and doesn't need to deal with this. Myself being a mother of three and working till my 8th month had no sympathy for this it is not an excuse for poor customer service, so I told her that I was not complaining about her I was complaining about the facility she the placed the phone down and started yelling she didn't need this from this F*****G B***H. Now I don't know about you but I don't appreciate being called those kinds of names any day let alone after driving 9 hours with five children. My husband and myself went to the lobby to speak to the manager and once we walked into the lobby her tone changed also informing us that she was not calling me those names but was referring to her boss I don't believe her but either way these are not names you should be calling your boss. This girl at the desk said we could leave a message for her boss because he was not coming down to handle the matter because it was his day off. Yes that's right the manager was there and refusing to come down to handle the situation the way a manager should do. There were no other hotels in the area to go to so for the safety of my family we were forced to stay there. Not once did we hear from the manager the whole weekend we were there. Returning home I contacted corporate office to inform them of what took place and they sent the complaint to the manager who responded the next day with I will refund you $20 on a $500 bill! Outrageous! Sorry Choice Hotels but this has ruined my respect for your company and would NEVER stay at a choice hotel again!!!

When I was working in the area I stayed here for a couple weeks.  Rooms are clean, and plenty of room for me to do my paperwork at the end of the day.

The breakfast bar in the morning had everything from eggs, sausage,  pancakes to biscuits and gravy.  Cereal, juices, pastries and of course coffee.
