Two stars because the lady at the desk was nice. The price is too high (70.00) the bed is about six inches off the floor. The towels are about twenty years old. The tv is about twenty years old. The 'breakfast' is not worth eating. It appeared to be twenty years old. The unit reeked of disinfectant although that was probably a GOOD thing. No closet, the ice machine was broken (but the night manager took me into the laundry room where there was an old freezer and he gave me some ice)... The bathroom is right THERE and so very 'hear-able'. The paint is horribly done, the rugs are about twenty years old. Look... There are two chain motels about 60 yards away... Just do yourself a favor. Stay at those places. Come on Super 8... Spend some money and bring your property up to speed.

Horrible experience in cottonwood, AZ on 800 south Main st. Woke up in the morning to find our room flooded. Disgusting brown smelly water 2 inches deep covering our entire floor. Clothes soaked, iphone submerged and ruined. I was there with my 3 and 4 year old. Unable to get off the bed. There were 4 other rooms that were affected as well.  No other rooms in the hotel available to switch to. Front desk blamed us and stated we "probably" overflowed our tub on purpose. Refused to help and charged us full amount for our room and refused to help with replacement of phone!!! Do Not Stay Here!!! 2 days later received a call from the owner/general manager Sunny Singh who told me he charged my credit card over $500 for repairs to the damage I caused to his property!!!!! I feel beyond violated. These are bad bad people!! I have stayed in hotels a hundred times and never thought this would happen to me and my family. Do Not Stay Here! Who knows what you will be blamed for and charged for  without your permission!

We recently stayed here for two nights because it was a good location between Jerome and Sedona, at a pretty good price. The bed was super uncomfortable so I actually asked for more blankets and folded them up underneath me for more cushion to sleep on. They do have WiFi but the connection from our room was not very good so it just kept dropping. Since we were there to mostly sight see this wasn't too much of a problem, besides at night when we were trying to relax after bed. The breakfast was pretty good, especially the waffles. They put out juice, toast, waffles, yogurt, and little packages of cinnamon pastries. The wall paper in the room was coming off the walls, stained carpet, and the tub seemed a little dirty or stained. Also the TV is an old school TV, no flat screens here or a microwave or fridge, just a small coffee maker. The girl at the front desk was very nice and overall it was fine for the price we paid. The only thing I really disliked was how uncomfortable the bed was, everything else was A-OK.

Undergoing renovation. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Great restaurant across the street. Quiet at night. Free continental breakfast. Hot tub was hot. What more does one need for one night?

Ever heard of Patel Motel?  Well it's not just in CA, upon checking into the Super 8 in Cottonwood, I was greeted by a woman who quickly reminded me that Super 8 motels have all been converted to Patel Motels.  If you don't know what Patel Motels are, send me a msg.

What can I tell you about this Super 8.  Well ... here it is:
Pros: clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, free basic breakfast, free Wi-Fi
Cons: not a Westin, tube TV

So if ya don't have to travel like Hollywood housewives, Super 8 (Patel Motel) will be just fine.  Sweet dreams ...!

Clean, comfortable, with a fridge in the room. The wifi connection is fast, but you have to ask specifically for their super long password. They should just write it on the room key cover slip like all other hotels, since it is included with your room. The walls are a little thin, and the tv reception bad the night we were there. Every time something yellow came on screen, the tv buzzed angrily. This made watching the Simpsons impossible.

Dirty, Noisy, and Hot! Our room had leaves all over the floor. Was not able to sleep because the doors to the ajoining rooms were not constructed properly. They have gaps around them which allows all sound through. We could hear the ajoining rooms conversations and their TV so clearly. And the airconditioning is controlled so it will not cool below 76 degrees because Super 8 wants to save money in exchange for our comfort. We asked for another room but the manager wouldn't accomodate. We hated every second. Filed a complaint with corporate but never heard back from them. They suck!

Stayed here in town on business, 3times. This is a very noisy hotel. The bed is uncomfortable.

A group of young drunks showed up at 1am, slammed their door open so hard it rattled the wall in our room. They were asked to quiet down, but continued to party until 4am. They attempted to open the cross through doors to enter our room.

The morning desk woman has a very condescending attitude. I asked for a 1pm checkout to which she agreed. Door key cards quit working at 11:30am.

Kids in next room were back up by 9am, drinking, partying and loud music. We will not be staying here again.

Rooms smell of smoke. Cops were outside breaking up a domestic dispute.  Very gross.  Will not be staying here again.

We stayed here as we attended an event in Jerome.   The bed was hard, the toilet lid was broken.  The TV tube was going as the TV was green, and the decor, well very late 80's  The room was very clean though.  The continental breakfast was a JOKE.  The Orange Juice dispenser was broken, the fruit was bruised.  And I never did find about the WIFI.  So if this place wants to succeed they need to step it up.  We wont be going back anytime soon

They get one star for location convenience, but besides that, the room smells like it had a fire in it(it is a smoking room but that's all they had), the toilet is possessed, bed is hard as a rock, basically non existent wi-fi. I'd say only stay here as a last resort!

DO NOT STAY HERE! The owner of this hotel is a thief! Besides the ridiculously uncomfortable bed and temperamental air conditioner they charged me $12 for a HAND TOWEL they claimed wouldn't come clean even with bleach! When I disputed the charged they immediately called the police. The best part was the super cool Cottonwood cops told me they frequent the Super 8 because of this same exact issue. The hotel charged a customer for something ridiculous and when the customer disputed they immediately call the police! I've stayed at several Super 8 motels across the country and I've never been treated like this!! Cottonwood is beautiful however and has several extremely nice hotels/motels! This is not one of them!! I'm only choosing one star because zero isn't an option.

I know,I know,I KNOW!...but I really just wanted a room that was NOT in crazy expensive and crowded Sedona, so cut me some slack. Situated on the Main Street of Cottonwood( not to be confused with the more trendy and kitschy Downtown Cottonwood), Super 8 motel was as I expected: the room was small amd cramped, the bed was uncomfortable but clean( somewhat),the room smelled of dirty candy and body odor(?), and the bathroom had failing plumbing. As expected, the other guests were A) rudely partying outside, while my neighbors next door were B) Loudly playing their TV's and compensating by talking louder over the TV noise, and C) the Hostess was far from pleasant and helpful.I think she would rather have been having her molars pulled without Novacaine than to attend to the PAYING Guests!
The convenience of being just 23 miles from Sedona was why I chose Super 8 motel. There are stores, banks, gas stations, drug stores, and services along Main Street  typically found in a town. Just 3 miles down the street is the Downtown area which had several fun bars, cool shops and antiques, touristy novelty stores and a cool new resataurant called Bocce.
I get what I paid for...but wait! Staying at Super 8 was expensive considering they offered a very cheesy "Continental breakfast" (which makes me smirk whenever I hear those two words mentioned at a place like this). The choices for breakfast were boxed cereals, stale muffins and bagels, toast, mediocre coffee with basic packaged condiments, and juices. Not what I'd consider " Continental" even for a low-end motel.
I know, I know, I KNOW people: it's a Super 8 motel in the desert. But still, for my very basic needs of a clean room, secured lighted parking lot, and convenience to where I wanted to explore and hike (Sedona), it was below expectations for the price that I paid on Hotels.com .
I guess if you needed a room in desperation, and didn't want to pay too high a price for just a room to sleep, then go for it.

This Super 8 must have done some very positive changes since the last reviews.  My 2-night stay there was very pleasant.  The room was clean, bed was most comfortable, bathroom plumbing worked fine, towels were replaced as needed, windows kept out the street noise, continental breakfast had cereal, bananas, yogurt, waffle makings, bread for toasting, milk...  I had a potential connecting room and the family next door the first night were loud as the door was thin.  But, the second night was peaceful!  Only problem was with a fully booked first night, the Wifi was impossible to get on until some users turned off their electronics.  Wifi couldn't accommodate the demand...  But, later that night and next day I got on just fine.  Bottom line, I would definitely stay there again!
