This is the third year I stay hear while visiting Phoenix for my annual residency. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. I enjoy staying here since the accommodations provide onsite laundry, and a kitchen.

Great value for the money!... great staff, free wifi, and very close to the airport. When i booked the room i was a little worried because it was so close to the airport but you cant hear anything. The only reason why i do not rate it a 5 is because there is no pool or fitness area. But for the price you really cant beat it! Plus a really friendly front desk girl understood our concern for not wanting to pay for a full night since we were coming in at 4 AM and she allowed us to stay that half night for free (even when we were willing to pay something for the night she said dont worry about it get here safely) and then we stayed Friday and Saturday. The room could use a little bit of an update, but once again what do you expect when your paying only $50 a night!.... OVERALL GREAT STAY! :D

Excellent Value for the money! Everything was in working order - only stayed for a couple of nights just to run a few quick meetings. Easy access to the air-port and the car rental place. AC in the room was working - but I seldom used it - the heat was relaxing.

Getting ready to check out, but place lost a star due to unusual things. A flood on one end of the 3rd floor hallway knocked about about six rooms for awhile. They are still renovating those rooms over a month later - no cause of flood given. Also, a swarm of bees invaded the laundry room about two months ago and i found a few dead bees in the dryer lint tray before I started my cycle. Now, they also have their third different manager here in 8 months and although Shauna is very good at her job, all the staff is new and seems untrained. They cleared out Tammy and all the other regulars because ESA corporate decided to cut all their benefits and only offer three FT jobs per hotel So, it's another case of corporate greed and they spend tons of money of new signage and an average  breakfast, but they sacrifice quality employees, such a shame, but corporate will never read this review. Kirk is a nice guy and always was prompt on fixing stuff and every year there a crazy bunch of bikers that show up and literally take over the place. DO NOT come here during AZ Bike Week. Disgraceful that staff cannot control them, like who the F do they think they are? Just cause you ride a bike, you can stay out in the parking lot and drink all night. Now, that manager is gone, but very unprofessional. Also, for the last seven days, all the local channels always don't work and the satellite is always searching for them. Room for improvement, but not bad at all/

The staff here were friendly and I received my room in great condition and everything worked fine.  My stay would have been very positive here had it not been for the erroneous charges on my credit card.  After contacting the Area Operations Manager for HSD Tempe Airport-ESA Phoenix Airport Extended Stay about this charge, the problem still wasn't solved.  I later emailed the corporate office on Extended Stay's website.  I never received any type of response back concerning the bogus charge.  To add insult to injury, they signed my email address up to their mailing list, and now I'm receiving spam from Extended Stay in my inbox.  I will never stay at an Extended Stay again, and will tell my friends to stay clear.  Completely disgusted about getting ripped off $24+.

*UPDATE*

I was finally refunded my $24+, but it took an act of congress for it to happen.  Shame on you Extended Stay!

Can I just say I LOVE this Extended Stay I will rate any future Extended Stay visits based on my stay here. They have wifi, allow dogs (for $25 a night see website), they offer breakfast in the lobby (coffee, muffins, oatmeal etc) the staff was knowledgeable, outgoing and friendly. But there are a few minor drawbacks: somehow I was smelling cigarette smoke in my smokefree rom, its in the middle of nowhere the restaurants listed online aren't really that close and after a 7hr drive to get there I wasn't interested in driving anywhere which brings me to orderinn extended stay has a contract with this company where you order your food from they're very limited menu and they will deliver your food with 45 mins to an hour. All and all my dog was comfortable which means I was able to get some much needed rest before my upcoming 6 hr drive. Great job guys!

Hotels.com showed a rating of like 1 star before we booked, but I decided to tough it out. This place was clean, cheap, and comfortable. They had full sized fridges and a great kitchenette that was CLEAN! The room was clean, and the bathroom fully stocked. Breakfast in the morning was muffins and coffee for the most part, but it was all fresh. Customer service was great, though I didn't like them asking so many personal questions. Do not eat at the Waffle House thats close by, they are dirty :(

Stayed here for a bit before finding a place to rent out. It is a quiet spot with clean rooms. Wifi was a little slow as they want you to upgrade to the better package but it works to check Yelp, Facebook and email.

The breakfast was tasty, though nothing special. You have muffins, oatmeal, granola bars and coffee. For the price of the room, I am more than happy with that breakfast. Staff was always very nice to me. In all it is a pretty good stay and I would go back if I needed to. It is in a very central location and easy to get to on or off the freeway.

Previously stayed here on regular basis. Recently went through a manager change and the place is going down hill.  Could not find my reservation, would not honor my negotiated rate,  Sheets on bed were dirty when I arrived.  Screen was out of window.  Dishes received were dirty as well.  I have to say I stayed at this place 2 weeks per month for last year without issue under previous manager.  Under her, it was a great place, clean, quiet, and great customer service. Below is my previous review:

If you are a no frills person. This place is great.  Although it does come with a full kitchenette, cable tv with show time, you can also visit the sister hotel which has a pool, just 5 minutes away., additionally they have free wifi, not the fastest, but I was able to watch movies over it, they also offer a upgrade for a couple of bucks.  The one downside is it is a remote location.  My first visit there, I did not rent a car and there is nothing within   2 miles except Waffle House or McDonald's, which are not bad in a pinch,  but right up university drive is everything you could want.

Worst place I have ever stayed. I already put pictures of the sheets but they were absolutely disgusting stained with pee, food, blood and some other unknown substance that looked like dried scabs. Staff wasn't helping us and told us to do it our selves but then told is they had no spare sheets. The big lady at the front told us to tell the morning staff because she doesnt want to do it. Matress was wet with pee so I had to sleep on the floor with the dog hair. Ended up in my car later that night to sleep because i started getting sick. There were no spare rooms and the big lady at the front desk was laughing at us. There was no toilet paper and they said they don't know where it is so I had to go to the nearby restaurant to use the bathroom. Altogether I was Very disappointed. Don't stay here if you have any self respect.**update** went to the doctors the next day and they said I had got bitten from bed bugs all over my legs and I was only in the bed for 5 minutes. Also swollen tonsils and irritated eyes. Don't stay here. Just updating

First of all, this was not my first choice for hotels but because of the Super Bowl, my regular hotel wanted double the room rate. I was staying for work so had to work with a budget. I arrived and got the room. When I went into the room, I pulled back the sheets and saw some long hair (yuck!). Then went to the bathroom and checked the towels and again, hair (yuck!). One of the other bad things was that they did not have a business center so no place to print emails. Just a reminder not to stay where there is a Super Bowl.

Overall the hotel is a good value for the money if you just want a room.  Sometimes you just want a clean decent room to stay in at a reasonable rate.  There is no pool and I was going to look for a fitness center until I saw in another review there isn't one.

Basic hotel, yes.
Fancy hotel with nicey nicey stuff, no.

Can I sleep here comfortably?  Yes.

Funny thing, the internet here works fine, but my company VPN keeps saying I'm not connected or denies my login; they don't play well together.  Aside from said company VPN issue causing me to go to a local library the stay was fine.

I don't care if this was the last hotel left in Tempe I would not stay here.

We came here to watch Ironman Arizona two weeks ago and since we live a pretty healthy lifestyle we chose to stay somewhere with a kitchen. Horrible mistake.

1. Customer service - horrible.
2. Bathroom flooded because of a toilet problem and they wouldn't fix it. We had to fix it ourselves.
3. Internet only worked with a few things, but wouldn't let us use a lot of main websites that we needed.
4. Lazy front desk.
5. We asked to get new towels & wash cloths since we had to use them to soak up the water and nope not one new towel.
6. we called numerous times to speak to a customer service representative about the problems and we have yet to speak to someone in the department.

Good value, good internet, clean, safe.  I would stay here again as long as I got a good rate.
Negatives: don't expect a breakfast, just coffee and snack food.

PROS:
Internet is pretty good.
Washer/Dryer work good ($4 total to wash/dry one load)
Location
Houskeeping personell was nice

CONS:
Paper thin walls
STINKY hallways
Bed is super hard
The walls and doors in our kitchen were filthy
Tiny bathroom
Nearly non-existent front desk staff
Beat up furniture, floor, walls in our room
Smoking and Non-Smoking rooms are on the same floor.

Very dissapointed in this extended stay. Normally we love them, not this one. You can hear noise from 4 rooms down if you step out your door. Needs some serious updating. Seems like the only person that cared about their job was the housekeeper that we had.

Oh boy! Where do I start when it comes to this place.
I read lots of reviews here and another site and decided to give them a try.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

PROS:
TV worked
Close to the freeway

CONS:
NON-SMOKING ROOM - smelled like smoke
OFFICE DESK - was a table that looked like it was bought at ikea
read on:

Figured that the best thing to do was to use a brand name location centrally located to all Spring Training facilities. Friends who visit California use this company and so decided can't be that bad. I was wrong.

Walk into the lobby and lady doesn't smile. No worries, just get my room. They give me a room and tell me that because I am staying a week, there would be no room service. Told them I paid for the daily room upkeep and it was like pulling teeth to prove. (Strike 1)
Then head to the room. Open the door and viola! There are two unmade beds, trash thrown all over the floor and clothes everywhere. (Strike 2)
Head back to lobby and front desk lady says, "Oh I would never have given you a room that wasn't ready. They told me it was ready." (Strike 3)
Given the room next it. Well at least it was clean.
Walk in, and bam!!!! Cigarette smell permeates this non-smoking room. It got worse as it got hot and the AC not on. Figured it would disappear by a couple of days. Never did. (Strike 4)
Head to first game of the week. Come back decided to take a shower and the shower curtain smells like cigarette smoke. Entire week this smell is permeating the room. Thankfully only reason to use the room is to sleep.
Of course, the toilet ran all night because it was leaking. The bathtub had a leaking faucet as well.
Wait it gets worse.....
Its an extended stay. Meaning refrigerator, there should be plates, pots and pans, dishes, and utensils.
Refrigerator never got any of the water we brought cold. It took two days to get the freezer to freeze ice cubes. By day three, the refrigerator began to stink.
No pots, pans, dishes, utensils. How are we to cook? if we are not wanting to go out to eat.
As stated earlier office desk was a small table. You have to pay for high-speed internet or the wifi never worked.

Absolutely brutal place that needs to just be put out of its misery. Never will I ever stay at this location.

Wife and I came to PHX to go hiking and watch a Coyotes game.  Chose this place because of the low price ($75-$100 cheaper per night than the neighboring properties I looked at on Expedia).  We were pleased with our decision.

The room was very spacious...far bigger than I expected.  Comes with a kitchen as well (fridge, microwave, sink).  For the price I paid, the room exceeded expectations.  They also have free Wi-Fi, a huge plus.

Breakfast (a big deal for me at any hotel) is a "Grab-and-Go," which means just muffins, granola bars, and hot beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate).  But with the money you save, you can grab something at the Waffle House across the street and still save a lot of money over hotels with full breakfast spreads.

Drawbacks:  (1) parking lot is difficult to navigate, the driving lane is narrow so large vehicles will do bad parking jobs because it's hard to negotiate the turn into the parking spot.  You may come out to your car one morning and find a large truck parked next to you at some crazy angle that makes it impossible to open your car door; (2) because of the lower price they had to cut a few corners (no regular housekeeping for short-term stays, pillows were lousy, the closet has a curtain instead of a door, don't get as many TV channels as other places).

But honestly, none of these were a big enough issue to detract from the savings.  If I have to quote-unquote "deal" with having a curtain as a closet door in order to save $100 a night, I'd take it every time.  Stated differently, the good (significant cost savings) outweighs the bad (some cut corners) by a mile.

All-in-all, we were pleasantly surprised.  We would not hesitate to recommend to friends or to stay here again.

I stayed there for a week when I moved to Phoenix. I would have rated 4 if I paid regular price of $60 plus per day. Since I got it around $37 to $45 per day on Priceline deal, I'm giving rating 5 for the money I paid

PROS
Huge parking lot. Quick access to I-10. Close to Tempe downtown

Front desk employees were very pleasant and wonderful people. I was discussing with other guest that they must be out of coffee cups during breakfast, I guess someone overheard the conv and went in immediately and replaced the coffee cups.

Pretty safe neighborhood. Nothing that would warrant any kind of suspicion

CONS
The bed is a twin size. Really small. This is the first time I ever saw a bed this small.

Missing Iron board. But when I reported, I was given a new one

Internet speed was never more than 0.75mbps. You need to pay $4 per day extra if you need 2.5 times this speed but still it's really slow.

Breakfast gets (muffins, Oat meal, Bananas, Oranges, Apples, Milk and Coffee only) over really fast and they take their sweet time to replenish the stock.
