When in Phoenix on business I stay at this location, it's near many businesses (I guess downtown). Also I get a great rate from this particular location. The light rail is close by so if you need to travel long the rail route it's convenient. The staff is friendly and the place is clean but just like any other Fairfield Inn so nothing special. The fitness room is light but open 24hrs. They serve a continental breakfast with Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, not the healthiest. My rooms have been clean and comfortable. They do have the air running on arrival so the room is cool. They do have to do something about the bums nearby; I guess as long as they don't walk onto the property there might not be anything they can do.

Cheap rooms and it's right inbetween a burger king and ihop and there is a circle k right across the street so you can get beers.

Continental breakfast was ok. Coffee is available 24/7. Small fitness room with elliptical, treadmill, stairclimber and tv. My room was right next to the elevators and right on the other side of the construction; my room didn't have a room number yet because they had just opened it from the remodeling. There was a sheet of fabric perpendicular to my door and just to the side of it to block off the guests from the construction. So for me it meant a noisy stay with lots of dust and debris always there to greet me as I left my room. It's a remodel though, so I understand. Not a bad place to stay.

Good facilities and right next to the light rail for any trips to Downtown.  The staff were very helpful and always available for any needs.

The breakfast is so-so, please do the world a favor and toss the brown bananas out.  POG would be a nice addition to the drink machine.

Room was always clean and I didn't worry about mystery's on the linens or carpet.

Middle of the road. Large rooms. Good location for museums. So so breakfast. Uncomfortable tub. Liles the cotton sheets. So so pillows. Nice but inexperienced front desk. Problems with Mac laptop connecting in room this year and last year.

Friendly front desk staff! Large clean and comfortable rooms! Less then $100 for a family of four. Many outlets for electronics which is great when you have two teenagers. Would stay again!

Honestly, the room I stayed in for one night while in town for business was great!  The staff was friendly the room was bright and clean (aside from the tub which looked like it was peeling and in need of repair), plus they have a nice breakfast spread. :). Originally I was going to give this place four stars (would have been five except I don't know how much their rates are as I was not in charge of booking).  However, based on being an out of town guest reliant on the shuttle, they only get three stars.  The first shuttle was from the airport to the hotel and the driver (a young lady) was great.  Very friendly, on time, very nice.  The second was the same and she had mapped the different route for everyone to save time, very efficient.  The third was very bad.  The driver passed me twice (after the first pass by, my phone died so I waited, the second happened and I gave up, having to go to a nearby restaurant to call someone for a ride.  A huge hassle.  They apologized, but hey, accidents happen.  At this point I was still going to give them that extra 4th star, however, this mornings shuttle was even worse.  I went downstairs and scheduled a 12 noon shuttle at the front desk, gave them the address and required information.  Showed up downstairs at 1158 and saw the driver loading up one person and looking like he was getting ready to leave.  I had to rush through checkout and run to catchup to the shuttle.  He acted mad that I was on it and like he had no knowledge of me.  Then he received notice that he had actually left another guest behind and was going to turn around, I was on a deadline and needed to be at 11 w address.  He passed the turn and when I brought it to his attention he told me he hadn't even passed 8th street and sounded very irritated.  I was adamant that it was in the opposite direction, not being a shuttle driver yet still knowing that 8th street =the 800 block, yet he still took me to the 1100 block area in his turn around phase.  Overall I was only a little late, but I am severely disappointed in the shuttles shaky reliance, especially since the hotel seems to be geared towards out of town business personnel who would be highly reliant on a shuttle service.

Rooms were great, breakfast was nice, hotel staff friendly and accommodating.

Shuttle service was a huge hassle and disappointment.

I was in town to celebrate my birthday and found this place via Kayak/Travelocity. Less than $100/night and the room had a king bed and was huge enough to dance in. Not that I did but it was certainly larger than most hotel rooms I've been in.

The staff were all INCREDIBLE. They were all knowledgeable, helpful, efficient, and friendly.

The complimentary breakfast spread was unlike any I've seen elsewhere: oatmeal, cold cereal, premade breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, a waffle maker, assorted breads, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee...outstanding.

Next time I decide to hop over to Phoenix this is where I'm going to stay.

I travel a lot for work, I stay almost exclusively at Marriott brand hotels and I'm a platinum elite level rewards member, I typically have only good things to say about them.  This hotel however, wow. My reservations were made in person by an associate of mine who was already staying at this hotel, two weeks in advance of my stay, he spoke directly to their sales coordinator Heidi, who said they were full Wednesday night of he second week I was supposed to be there but she also said "I'll take care of it, it won't be a problem". So when I tried to check in Monday that second week there was no reservation for me at all, Heidi came out and said my reservation had been switched to a different name but she could fix it. I asked if I was going to be able to stay the whole week and she said yes she'd taken care of it and the clerk checking me in confirmed that I was checked in till Friday. So everything's great right? Nope. Wednesday morning I wake up and there's a bill under my door stating I've been checked out. I took that downstairs to the desk and ask about it because I was told I was ok to stay till Friday, the clerk on duty says he's sorry and no problem he'll extend my stay I can go to work and not worry about it. Around noon, (about 2 and a half hours ago) I get a call that I've been checked out of the room and I have about an hour to come get my things out of the room. Apparently every time I was told "it's taken care of" I was being lied to, and since all of these arrangements were made face to face I never got any confirmation numbers and have no way to prove my side of the story and was very politely told by the hotel management and the corporate customer care people to F off. If you have face to face dealings with anyone at this hotel make sure to get any agreements in writing.

I came into town to attend a convention where many of the attendees were staying at the Sheraton, Hyatt, Renaissance etc. I hesitated to stay here because of a poor experience I had at a Fairfield Inn in SoCal. i have to say that I am enjoying my stay here! clean and comfortable rooms, good complimentary breakfast and complimentary shuttle around downtown. But what makes this place is the excellent service from ALL of the staff!!  I will definitely be staying here anytime I come to Phoenix!

Staff was very nice and called our room within ten minutes of checking into the room to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Our room was on the first floor with vaulted ceilings, very nice.

I can't rate the rooms or the complimentary breakfast or anything, because I didn't actually stay there.  I am only rating the service and competence of their reservations system, because I dealt with them when trying to make a reservation for one of our clients.

My company typically likes to use this hotel for reservations bc it is close to us and convenient for our clients to stay at.  However, this past time, the reservations were a mess.  First, they told us at check in that we had never put down a form of payment and filled out a permission form to use our company credit card -- we HAD and our assistant had specifically spoken with someone about this. But anyway, I decided to just put down my credit card and have my company reimburse me.  So I gave them my info, but for some reason later they asked our client for HIS credit card info and ended up charging his card instead of mine! wth?!  Makes NO SENSE.

So the next week our assistant had to call them and sort the whole mess out and get the credit put back on our client's card.  Just a totally needless hassle and so unprofessional to mess it up not once but twice.

I came to Phoenix for training for work. Of most all of the hotels I have stayed in in this area, this hotel exceeded my expectations.

It is one of the few with free parking, free breakfast, AND a pool and hot tub,  both of which were clean and nice. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, and it is so close to many attractions. Staff is very friendly and accommodating- they keep a basket of menus for ordering delivery food at the front desk!

I will be staying here again!

The rooms were fine. Clean and comfortable, the pool was also nice. Due to a large family in a "small" room I had to sleep on a roll away mattress. It was plenty comfortable until the next day when I discovered i was covered in fiber-glass. I assume it was Dom the roll away because none of my family members had fiber glass on them and I was the only one to sleep in the roll away. I think they might keep them in a basement of some sort where insulation could have fallen on them. I am very upset about this.

We stayed three nights in November for a girls' getaway combined with grad school class. One member of our group had a weekend class at ASU and the rest of us had a weekend of leisure.  The Fairfield fit the bill for all of us. Great price for what you get. Near downtown but in a less congested area.
The hotel is clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The beds were comfy.  The room was cleaned and restocked each day.
We used the spa and pool multiple times. The spa could be hotter but that might just be my personal preference.
The office area with computers and printer was easily accessible and free for guests. The free breakfast we ate for two of the three mornings was okay but the coffee was pretty terrible. Starbucks is just down the road about half a mile.
The metro light rail is nearby for easy public transportation. We had a rental car and parking at the hotel is free. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to dinner and back one night.

A very nice & clean hotel. Stayed here for Spring Training to see the Brewers. The hotel was located in a business commercial district about 8 miles east of Maryvale & 8 miles west of Scottsdale (Thomas road pretty much goes directly to each).

Overall this was a clean & organized hotel. The room was big & the bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator & microwave.

Breakfast was ok. There was the standard continental breakfast fare + waffles/eggs.

The hotel is located right off the light rail (couldn't hear it from our room) which is connected to the airport.

This is supposed to be Marriott's economy brand of hotels. We stayed in a 2 room suite (1 bedroom, 1 living room) which had 2 queen size beds and a sofa bed in the living room for $249/night in March 2015.  Compared to SpringHill Suites, which is Marriott's upper-moderate priced hotel (which we also stayed in on the same trip), we liked this one much better.

Hotel is within 5 min drive to 10 and 17 freeway access
15-20min from the airport
Separate bedroom and living room separated by a door. Bathroom is inside the bedroom
2 sinks - one inside toilet/shower, one in the bedroom vanity area.
Microwave/small refrigerator/sink in the kitchenette area.
Front desk staff extremely pleasant and helpful
Free wifi
Free parking
Free shuttle within 3 miles, good if you go out to dinner.
Free airport shuttle
Free fitness center (open 24 hours)
Pool and spa
Free continental breakfast with an awesome Waffle maker, Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hard boiled eggs, pastries, toast, apples, banana yogurt, coffee. It's nothing special (SpringHill did have a better breakfast) but this saves us a lot of time and money.
Water cooler in lobby area
Free business center - print your boarding pass!

A/C in living room loud
Sofa sleeper is not comfortable, lots of springs and very noisy when you roll.
