Trying to fly to Idaho, I got stuck in Phoenix overnight.  It was the end of a very long and harrowing day and US Airways wasn't going to pay for our hotel rooms since "weather" was to blame.  They did subsidize our stay at the Radisson though so a single room with a king size bed was only $55.

I only spent 10 hours here but the overall impression was "satisfactory".  The bed was a sleep number as promised and I tried out ALL the possible sleep numbers.  (i guess i'm a 70.)  The bed is the most important thing to me and the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows and clean sheets.

(If you're a total clean freak like my mother, bring your own Clorox wipes though.  There was lingering hair in the bathroom and elsewhere in the room.)

The location left a lot to be desired.  It's on a very busy (and noisy) road close to a freeway.  There is not a complimentary breakfast and the only nearby option is a Waffle House.  But since it's next door to a Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, I don't think the Radisson is alone in these flaws ;)

However, if you are looking to have a muffler replaced or see some high quality strippers, this is your Radisson.  Strip clubs and salvage shops appear to be plentiful nearby.  That and an exterminator that appeared to specialize in scorpions.  Phoenix, you're a strange place.

I booked this hotel on priceline.com and I was reported to be a 2 1/2 star hotel.  After staying there, I'd have to say it was more like a 3 star, and a nice 3 star at that.  Nice room with Sleep Number beds, free wi-fi, free coffee in the lobby, and a friendly staff.  Combine that with the fact that I paid $36 + tax for a night's stay and I have to give this hotel 4 stars on yelp.
