This hotel is great! My husband and I stayed a weekend.  It was one of the best weekend staycation by far.  It's close to home 25 miles away yet it felt like I was miles away.  The Outlet shops are a must visit, we got lots of great deals.
Now for the registration desk.  I had booked a couple of weeks in advance. I received a coupon in the mail.  I went to visit the hotel to make my reservation (face to face) you know we forget about that sometimes.  When I booked the young lady said "yes I see that offer in our system." I thought great this is going well! She mentioned that I could stay one night free and the second night at $69.00.  She explained that I could utilize this back to back. GREAT! So she say's when would you like to book.  I choose a weekend Fri-Sat- checking out Sunday.  So she booked it and printed my reservation.  So when my husband and I arrived at the front desk its a FD rep and the manger (Toni) both told me it would be one night free and the second for $129.00.  You know where I am going with this... So a long story short they asked me for the code and for the casino host name that gave me the offer.  WHAT REALLY! I don't know that who would ... So they asked if I had my printout of my reservation of course I left it at home they also asked for the coupon offer - guess what it's at home as well.  They then mention that they could not do anything unless they had one of those items.  So by now I am mad - I walk outside and come back - I received help from another front desk rep. Her name is Leah - GREAT LADY BTW. She was able to see everything in the system along with all the codes needed.  Shame on the manger (Toni) for not understanding how to do his job.  We are finally get checked in and had a wonderful weekend with buffet comps.  Whoose ... So now it's time to check out... They said its a note that says one night free second for 69.00 - but they still need the code to close the account out!  REALLY I am so tired of this.  Remember I told you about that manger who don't know his job yet - well he was standing right at the front desk again! Long story short if this is short.  I had to go home get the coupon call them and its still not clear.  I will update once its all taken care of.  I understand its a new hotel but there is still lots of training that must happen.  Please enjoy your stay I did but remember there's no such thing as FREE.

This is an update - I just received a call from Rada Benchekroun (front desk rep) - He mentioned that he took care of everything and my total bill for the weekend was $75.59.  I am happy that Viejas realized the mistake they made.  I don't know if I will ever stay again as this left a sour taste in my mouth.  I will visit the casino however :)  - If you read this and I hope most do - Its really a nice secure hotel - however I could only give them (2 stars) because of this incident.

Our weekday stay at the new Viejas hotel was fabulous!  We stayed in suite 511 and everything was superb.  I highly recommend this hotel, and am really looking forward to our next stay.

Got two free nights compliments of my V-Club card. Parking valet is free and they are very quick. The new hotel is gorgeous! Everything was beyond amazing. The customer service was by far some of the best hotel service I've ever received. The shower was massive and beautiful. The bed was clean, and intoxicating. The pool was nice; they just need to get pool servers specifically. The buffet was unreal. Some food could have been a little hotter but it was a four star buffet. Our server was an angel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone; it feels like a vacation away from San Diego, but so close and convenient. GREAT HOTEL! LOVED EVERY MINUTE!

The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and the staff bend over backwards to help you.
The exercise room was very nice and I was impressed with the equipment and how well-cared for it was. I used it a lot (happily).

That said, here is why it isn't a 5 star:

- the rooms are quite small and they cram too much furniture in them
- there is no ventilation in the bathrooms (why, in a brand new hotel?)
- the soundproofing is terrible: the front door to my room must be made of thin wood laminate: I could hear every word in the hallway. ugh.
- the pool wasn't heated at night (why?)
- the fan in the H/Ac unit room didn't work and the housekeeper said it doesn't and tried to convince me that she was right. She wasn't. The HVAC guy finally came and said that it should work and fixed it (a wire wasn't making contact)
- the pillows are super-mushy
- the pool is beautiful to look at, but badly designed for actual swimming

Again: the staff were amazing! They were so helpful and solicitous that I felt guilty that I didn't need anything.

I hope they can work out the "bugs" in their system.

Viejas hotel, hmm where to start...the decor is really nice it's bright and obviously brand new, our suite was insane. Nice sized sitting room with a good sized tv, mini fridge with complementary sodas and juice. The star of the show was the bedroom super comfy bed and a HUGE bathroom like enormous. Couple issues were when we first arrived the bathroom smelled like crap, like literally someone had just poo'd, went to the cAsino and was told it would be taken care of, well it wasn't so we moved across the hall, now the "mountain view side" should be called parking lot/garage view side. Walked in to a fresh smelling room but it was still on the dirty side, popcorn under the autumins and all but 1 of the glasses on the bar were dirty to be honest I should have complained again as this room was not cheap but I figured whatever our guests had arrived and we quickly proceeded back to the casino where we had an epic night. My experience at Viejas left something to be desired the casino was super fun, but it was primarily because I was in great company. The hotel needs a little work, more attention to detail, staff was very matter of fact and not very apologetic for the issues we had during our stay, I'd return as this is a review of the hotel not the casino in general

The Wifi does not connect. I got an error "Maximum uses exceeded." When I tried with my iPhone the icon just spins. I cannot enter the user name and password they gave me. The computer in the business area is set up for private use, offering to remember my passwords.

They fixed it the same night but they gave a funny story about simultaneous logins. I think they set 3 simultaneous for the entire hotel. I think I was the first person to try to login.

Not impressed with hotel at all. Two stars overall only because the buffet rocked. The room, a superior king at over $170 a night, was a let down. The price did not match what the room turned out to be. Although it looked nice and the bed was comfortable it was not a good value. The room was sub par. Specifically it was small, the TV was falling off the wall, the sound kept cutting out on the TV, there was some interesting (if not creepy) stains on the chase lounge, the coffee maker was not plugged in and was nowhere near an outlet and best of all to turn the water on in the shower you have to be in it meaning the cold water is all over you until it gets warm. My wife and I spent two nights. The casino floor was so-so and the games were boring. I can say with some certainty that we will NOT be returning to the hotel.

Very pleased with our stay Sunday night... I had booked a regular old room and when we checked in we were complimentary upgraded to a suite. Leah is who helped us and she was very nice and professional. The room was amazing. Large living room with tv and huge couch... and a nice size bedroom with a comfy king size bed.. Our bathroom was really nice too. Even my boyfriend was pleased and being a business owner in the service industry, he's very critical. Only two complaints.. we stayed in Suite 514, one of our coffee mugs had lipstick on it... and the temperature controls on the bathtub faucet are on incorrectly(cold is labeled hot and vice-versa). Overall it was a really nice experience and we'd definitely stay here again.

My husband got me a room at Viejas hotel for a mommy getaway. The room was fantastic! Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful and exactly what I needed. The staff was friendly, and informative. Having a shopping center across the street was wonderful. The night time fountain show was nice too. My only complaint was the pool area. I was looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi and reading by the pool. When the room was booked the day prior no one mentioned that it would be closed. When I checked in I was made aware it was closed to set up for an event. I passed the pool area several times and never saw anyone setting anything up. When I asked again I was told that the event was in 3 days .  Big disappointment.

I made reservations online the day before for a Deluxe King room that would have been facing the landscaping and parking lot. But upon arrival they told us that our room was not available and that they would upgrade us for free to a Courtyard Queen room facing the beautiful pool and with a patio! We also received vouchers to attend a Wine & Cheese tasting in the reception area. Way to give my boyfriend extra brownie points Viejas!
The Wine & Cheese tasting was very classy. It was a nice set up with about five tables lined upwhere people could stand and enjoy. The cheese was delicious and wine gave us a light buzz considering we haven't ate at this point. After, we went back to our room and ordered Room Service which we enjoyed out in our patio IN OUR ROBES.

The ambiance and decor of the entire hotel was beautifully designed from the reception, to the fitness center, and back inside the rooms. Very modern and reminds me of the W hotel. The only downside were the heavy doors, in which you can hear when people leave and enter their rooms. But other than that there were no other outside noise pollution. Also, it would have been nice to be able to hook my iphone5 into the sound dock in the room but it was only set up for the 4s and below. But it was also a great thought to even have one of those sound docks set up in the room.

We definitely enjoyed our anniversary and the experience that Viejas provided, and will be back!

I made a reservation online and put it in my husband's name to stay at the Vieja's Casino Hotel for Monday, November 24, 2014.  And off we drove from North County to Vieja's Casino.  Upon arrival, we were amazed by the friendly staff and the beautiful upgrades throughout.  Our room was amazing and we loved the views.  We went to dinner at the buffet and swore it was the best buffet we had ever had.  We thought we had died and gone to paradise.  We promised to never visit Valley Center or Temecula casinos again; we had found our new destination for our future drives to San Felipe Mexico.  After dinner, my husband played the table and I visited the outlet mall with the outdoor skating rink.  It was all so lovely and again the staff was so friendly.  Unfortunately, things went bad in a hurry.  We returned to our room at about 9 PM and I quickly drifted off to sleep.  There was a knock on our door at 9:45 PM by security that woke my husband.  Security told him that they had received a complaint that we were smoking in our room.  That interrogation quickly went to accusing my husband of smoking marijuana in the room and security asked my husband if he had a medical marijuana card.  My husband is a Doctor and I am a Teacher.  We do not smoke marijuana.  Security took my husband's ID and went downstairs to check him out with the front desk; asking him if he had ever been in trouble with the casino before.  All this for a complaint on cigarette smoking????  Really?  What country do we live in.  I should mention that security also wanted to come into our room and perform some kind of a search; my husband declined their requests.  Security did return with my husband's ID and said that a $250.00 cleaning fee might be applied to our final bill.  My husband told security to go ahead and apply the fee but to get the fuck out of our space; at this point he was fully awake and growing very agitated.  At 4 AM, I left the room to go downstairs to check out the action.  I grabbed some money and thought I had my room key.  Upon trying to return to the room, I realized I didn't have my key and therefore the elevator would not take me to the 3rd floor to my room.  The front desk refused to give me access to my room and had to call my husband to come down and get me.  We will NEVER return to this THUG place.  I have never been so harassed and treated like such a criminal in my life.  We will gladly return to Valley Center casinos and mark this one off the list.  Not to mention, we will tell all our family and friends what an absolutely horrible place this is.

As a retired couple we vacation often.   We stayed at Viejas and the quality of the room is wonderful.   All the staff greeted us by name.     The beds were very comfortable.   The bell hop bought our luggage to the room, got our Ice and poured us a glass of water.   ( without asking).    In the evening house keeping knocked on the door to ask if we needed anything and to give us water and Chocolates.    I have not seen this kind of service in any Hotel or Resort that we've stayed in.   Every Staff member in the Casino through the Hotel was extremely Polite.    Same for the Cafe.  Where else in California can you get a 3 dollar complete breakfast of 2 eggs, 2 bacon and hash browns and toast.    I highly recommend that you spend time in the Viejas Hotel.    You will truly get spoiled......

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Viejas hotel on multiple occasions. The rooms are a little small than what I originally thought but comfortable and welcoming none the less. The staff is always pleasant. I loved the pool area with the Jacuzzi and beautiful setting. I don't gamble but my boyfriend does so it is nice to have the casino so convenient.

I brought my mom here for Mother's Day weekend and was very pleasantly surprised! This was our first time so I didn't know what to expect, but when we drove up to the valet (complimentary, by the way), we were greeted by Lambert, who was very professional and friendly. He got us all set up with a bell hop to take our bags inside to register. Well it turns out everyone we encountered at Viejas was equally friendly and helpful. Leah, who registered us, always had a smile and even offered us the late check out time of 12 for the next day instead of 11 am.

The bell hop was great (forgot his name) - showed us where everything was in the room and explained the amenities. I have to say, overall the staff here proved to be excelent (at least for the hotel end).

The room was pretty, spacious, we had 2 queen beds and a great view of the pool (there are fire places out there and cabanas to lounge), the pool area overall is fantastic. The room is tastefully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and I loved the pillows. Yes, as another reviewer stated, they are quite soft but it suited my taste nicely, like sleeping on a cloud!

Shortly after we got situated in our room, Jessica called from the front desk to thank us for staying there and see if we needed anything - again, very nice and friendly staff!

All in all, I would come here again just for the fact that I now know I can expect a professional and friendly staff and all the comforts of home, a gorgeous pool and free wifi (I didn't have any problems using it for my Ipad or my phone, after I called the desk to find out how to get on it!). Unfortunately, they are booked for tonight or we would have stayed another day..

We haven't checked out yet, but hopefully that goes without incident as well. I did notice the authorized amount from my account is more than what the original estimate was, so we shall see...

My other half and I stayed here last Friday. Valet is free, the staff was more than accomodating, and our room was very nice. The casino was small but not stuffy. We had dessert at the Cafe, but they don't do to-go orders, which would have been nice. They direct you to the bar in the smoking section for that. We would definitely go back, but stay longer next time

a nice little getaway. luckily my parents play at this casino and accumulate points on their V card (sign up at guest services and get a free buffet!) which then pays for free buffets or free hotel stays! their buffet is pretty good, not a crazy drive like to barona, plus they serve prime rib and crab legs! I think regular price is $25 (?) don't know because parentals usually pay through points. the hotel room we stayed in was upgraded from a deluxe to courtyard which has a cute patio outside. beds are SUPER COMFORTABLE and service is great! free water and chocolate! I should be coming here once a month now that I think of it! they have a pool with a few cabanas and a bunch of chairs. if you're thinking of a mini Vegas trip to lay poolside without having to drive far, this is probably what you're looking for!

Wow! The new Viejas Hotel is AWESOME!  The pool alone is worth the trip -- you can book their VIP cabanas.  The rooms are fantastic -- all the modern amenities.  The rooms on one side of the hotel have a view of the pool (I like these the best) and the rooms on the other have a view of the hills.

I'm thrilled we have a cool place like this to go that is far enough away to be on vacation, and close enough to not spend your vacation driving!  Nice work Viejas!

Our room was clean and new and a nice design.  The beds were very comfortable.  The number of television channels was slim and no free movie channel and the pay per view was expensive.  $17 for the Wolf of Wall Street!  The pool was nice and there is a jacuzzi.

We had to pay $159.00 for one night on the weekend which I think is very steep considering the cost during the week.

Probably won't be back because of my complaints about the adjacent casino.

Staff however was exceptionally nice and friendly and we enjoyed the restaurants!

Our hotel stay was beyond our expectations!  The room was fantastic and the bed super comfortable.  I had the best nights sleep in months!  The large TV's were a treat as was the spa tub.  There is also a beautiful pool area that we unfortunately didn't have the chance to take advantage of.  Maybe next time.
We were especially appreciative of the great attitudes of all the staff we came in contact with.  Everyone was anxious to make sure we enjoyed our stay and had the best time possible.
I'm hoping we get the opportunity to come back!

Honestly I was really impressed with pretty much everything until I tried to order room service. You should really consider posting room service hours next to EVERYTHING on the menu not just the handful of things you find to be most important. And, why even bother taking my order only to then tell me room service is closed? Had we known that we couldn't order what we wanted for the game then we would have brought our own or walked clear across the casino to get it. Furthermore, just because it isn't summer doesn't mean it isn't "pool season." We live in Southern California for goodness sake and it was beautiful swimming weather today. At the very least, if you are going to allow guests to hang out in the pool area (without being able to get in the pool of course) then you should have someone checking on them. Going up to the front desk every time and waiting in line just to request assistance to order food or drinks in the pool area is ridiculous! To boot, the front desk then has to contact the servers manager on the floor for the "ok" before the server is even sent over AND magically despite what everyone else has already told you, you STILL can't order food... because it's not "pool season." What the hell???

As a follow-up to my review I must add this latest footnote.  It was amazing to me that all I was offered as an apology to having been bitten by some "bug" was one of the two nights I spent there free (as though I haven't spent WAY more that that over my multiple visits to the casino.)  I had to toss my clothing and luggage as a safe measure and let me tell you, that was not inexpensive.  Then two weeks later I find out that the initial $50.00 deposit charged to my credit card had not been refunded as they had stated.  I checked with them and was told everything had been completed, no additional funds were to be returned - then low and behold - oops, yes, they found the oversight and would get to it soon...

Heard that before?  And the beat goes on....

I don't even know how to begin describing how awesome this place is! It's a pretty small place, but i did enjoy the fact that there wasn't a lot of people everywhere we went.

The receptionist was freakin amazing. I booked a standard king-bed deluxe room, and she upgraded my room to a complimentary suite. I could not be anymore happy about that! The location of my room was so convenient too. Right next to the pool side!

Okay.. so now I'm just too lazy to type about my entire experience. Bottom line is, if you're looking for a close-by get away with your significant other I suggest going to this hotel. My bf and I wish we could've stayed longer.. we will definitely be back!

We were there over Labor Day weekend, and we were amazed by how fabulous everything was.  Both the hotel and casino pay attention to the details, and this made for a wonderful stay.  My husband and I both commented on how every single person that attended us, from the desk to the buffet and the housekeeping, were so nice and helpful.

we had a free room offer from the hotel, so we decided to use it for hubs birthday. Valet is free, and the room came with 2 free buffets. The buffet is new, and MUCH nicer than the old buffet.

the beds were comfortable, but the pillows were horrible. They are not firm at all and pretty much just wrap around your head.  The check-in was easy.  One thing though, i misplaced my card and had to go get a replacement to get in the room (you need to card just to take the elevator to your floor). The desk said they didn't show me on the registration, just my husband. They wanted me to get him in the casino and have him head to the desk.  I told them he didn't have his phone on him.

they told me that there was nothing they could do. i pointed out that they added my free buffet to my Viejas card, and if i wasn't listed on the room, why would they have given me a buffet?  Finally someone found where i was listed and i got a replacement room card.  I chalk it up to being a new hotel, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

They also have bathrobes in the room that you can buy if you like them. The only thing i didn't like was the amount of TV channels.  Only 4 or 5 channels, and NO channels like TBS or TNT to watch free movies.

Very nice hotel with custom made modern decor.  Stayed here for a weekend and was very surprised by how  clean the rooms were and how accommodating the staff was.  Truly unique hotel with some amenities, but honestly I've stayed at other Indian casino hotels that had more.  For some reason they close the pool and jacuzzi at the end of September, disappointing as it was still warm when I was there in late November.  Overall  good value for the money spent.

Service is sometimes a hit or a miss here. I stayed here twice.  Both times I'm supposed to get complimentary suite but was told that they are fully booked months in advance.
1st time I was given a standard King. Beautiful room. I don't have complaints with the room.
2nd time, I was given a 2 queen bed, superior, not a suite. Having issues with the toilet, not flushing properly. Just a bit perturbed that for a new hotel, the hotel weren't flushing properly. Called front desk if we could change room, they said no. But will contact maintenance to check on the Toilet.  After 20 mins they came in and started checking, we left them already. Came back and assumed that toilet's been fixed since the maintenance crew have left already. Checked the toilet again, still NOT flushing correctly STILL. Went to Check in Reception Area again and asked to have the room change since its still not flushing correctly. Said that they can't. And was told that due to the new flushing system, we just have to WAIT. It's supposed to conserve water. But if it's still not going to work, they said they will just have to change the TANK and hopefully it works.
Really?!? Granting that it's a comp. But they give out the comps for Viejas VIP club member. So that's how they treat their VIPs.

Anyway, considering its a comp and its a nice place, I'm giving them 3 stars. But if I have to pay for the room, I might just give them 1 star. The place is brand new but seems to have problems already.

Booked a Deluxe King room online and when we got there they upgraded us to a Suite. Bonus points already.  The decor is very modern. I wouldn't say the color scheme is my preference but it's still very nice. The suite that we stayed in had a sitting room with a full couch and and another chair. Not to mention a huge tv and a mini fridge with complimentary juice and water. Nice! The bathroom was huge....full shower, another huge tub and dual sinks with toilet in a room with a slider door. Oh, and a tv of course. The king sized bed was soft and so comfy. After our spa day it was like falling a sleep on a mountain of puppies.

As for the other parts, the gym was pretty small, but then again, we were the only ones who used it all day it seemed. It would have been nice to have a larger range of equipment. The pool however was very nice, two levels with a Jacuzzi on the side. All in all, we were very pleased.

The buffet was not atI all what we ecpected.  The bread was stale. The pozole was horrible.... it had tomato juice in it . The ribs very fatty. The only thing we could eat was cheese and fruit. The waiter only came around 1 time.  I spoke with the manager and he was nice enough to give me a refund . Maybe next time will be better.

Oh, this hotel is effing bangin.  From what I heard, it's not very old, so everything is clean and fresh.  The service from the valet, to the front desk to the maid service is top notch.  They seem to love dropping chocolate treats on you...I found that to be interesting.  They've got a pool and hot tub that's fashioned Vegas style, which was cool but when we got there, the wind was kickin up hard.

You really smell the difference between the newish hotel and the old casino when you walk over to the casino.  The stench of historic cigarette smoking and spilled drinks hits ya.  The casino is a serious labyrinth that I never even got to the end of.  I got the $10 player card and came up $40 bucks.

The cafe in the casino isn't too bad.  When you're faded, all the food tastes good.  I got the pecan waffles and it came with waaaaay too many pecans...I mean like 2 cups worth!  I didn't get that.

Overall, me and my lady had a good time and we didn't even get over to the outlet malls across the street.  I will definitely come back to Viejas again.

The hotel was awesome. Great and friendly employees. Beautiful hotel. Absolutely the best pool in the world. It was huge, wonderfully designed, and kept at 80 degrees. Went swimming after check-in, then had dinner, then went swimming again from 9:30pm till the pool closed at 10pm. Was so nice floating on my back looking up at the stars.

The room and its bathroom were beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the glass and tile shower. I even loved the sink's faucet. Like in every hotel I've stayed in, the mini-fridge hummed and I can't sleep with noise, so I was told I could unplug it, which I did. Had to towel up the water the next morning because the little bit of freezer frost melted, but that was easy to clean up. I then plugged the mini-fridge back in and all was good.

Katie at the front desk was awesome answering all my questions. She was super friendly.

The next morning I ate at the cafe. My only complaint there was that the menu states "maple syrup." But that is not true. They give you plain old pancake syrup (which is just corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup). Maple syrup is not a generic term for pancake syrup. No restaurant should say maple syrup unless it IS maple syrup. Otherwise, it's fraud. It's also a disappointment to get served something other than what's stated on the menu. They need to change the menu to say either "pancake syrup" or just plain "syrup."

Looking for a weekend getaway without the long distance travel, or the expense? Viejas Resort is the place to go!! And they have packages for a really good price! Seriously, cant be beat! The food was great, the decor from the lobby and hallways was very classy with a modern twist.  The pool looked really nice, but they had to close it due to high winds.
The rooms are beautiful and so clean!!!!! The staff is accommodating and friendly. One person in particular was a shining star and that was Chris,  He went way above and beyond. He really made our stay go from great to outstanding. Definitely recommend a stay here, if I could add and extra star I would, we will be back for sure, already booked another reservation to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday!

Gorgeous hotel!  Was completely blown away by the service and look of this hotel.  We stayed here for a birthday and they upgraded us to a beautiful 1 bedroom suite.

The living room can easily seat six, with a giant 60in tv, bedroom also had another giant tv...on top of the tub...yup another tv!  Beautifully decorated rooms and the hallways still smell of new carpet.

Pool is so pretty as well.  They have a good amount of lounge chairs, high end ones, none of those plastic ones that stick to your body.  Complimentary wine tasting from 5-7 by the pool.

Oh yeah, they also came to our room to see if we wanted water bottles and gave us a little box with two chocolate truffles.  Also, when we returned to the room from being out at the pool, we had a message on the phone of them just checking in.  Love the attention to detail!

I'm not a huge casino person, but Viejas really did a fantastic job with this hotel.

This is the first time I've been here.. I usually go across the street for the outlet, but we went over to this place cause some people wanted to gamble and some people wanted to eat.

We went around 2 AM and the food was soooo amazing at The Cafe at Viejas. Going into the hotel was amazing in itself because you can see the reception table right when you get in and the pool outside looked like one of those you see in vegas. The ambiance was amazing and the casino in itself was nice too

The food we ordered was the Spicy Buffalo Wings, Viejas club, and the New England Clam Chowder. The buffalo wings were pretty fatty wings and the sauce was really good. The club had such good flavor and had everything you can love in a club. THE FRIES WERE AMAZING!!!! they were sooooo goooddd.. we ate every little crumb of it and the clam chowder was okay... It was extremely creamy, but it did have a lot of clams in the soup. Over all I would definitely go back again just for the food. but next time I want to walk around and see the rooms and the pool. Even try the buffet this time.
I would definitely go again

I really enjoyed my stay at Viejas. It started with the valet staff who was friendly and efficient.

The lobby/front desk staff was also great. They were able to answer any questions I had sometimes before I even realized I had questions. They always said "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" or "Good Evening" whenever I walked through the lobby, making me feel welcomed and appreciated. Bianca and Rachell get special acknowledgements for this, but truth be told, everyone was friendly and helpful including the housekeeping staff and security personnel.

There is both a pool and a hot tub outside. The hot tub stayed very warm, but not too hot to sit in for a while. The pool did get a little cool, but I attribute that more to the fact that I only used the pool facilities in the evening when it was getting a little cool outside.

The room was well appointed, and I especially liked that they performed a turn down service every evening that I was there. I was slightly confused by the Adult Contemporary music station on the television playing mostly (maybe entirely?) music from the 70s and 80s which is not too contemporary. (I expected more like John Mayer, John Legend, Jason Mraz, Ingrid Michaelson, and Maroon 5 and other artists regularly rotated on an Adult Contemporary radio station.)

In short, the staff was all wonderful. The room was nice. The place was east to navigate. I dug it, and I would be happy to stay there again.

Stayed at Viejas last night and it was an awesome one night mini vacation without having to drive out of San Diego! Not only are the rooms well priced at 100 dollars on a Wednesday but it's a very clean, new and welcoming hotel. Every employee we encountered was awesome and super friendly.  Far East express was the dinner choice I took  it up to the room and yum!!! It was delicious!! Room service was ordered this morning and that was just as good! Not only was it delicious but It took a little longer then I was told and the server(max) apologized repeatedly and made sure their was nothing more needed. He was awesome!!! Super sweet and he seemed to really take pride in his job I love seeing that!
The whole stay was great if I can get some good deals staying here will be a regular thing for staycations.  Oh and by the way the beds are very comfy and the halls were silent no noise at all (:

My only complaint is I think the cafe should allow take out seeing as they have more of a variety. Just my opinion. But all in all awesome hotel so glad I gave it a shot!

We stayed here last night and this place is fabulous!   They have reduced pricing since it opened when it was crazy expensive.   Now it's much better.  The hotel staff are very friendly.  Last night a hotel staff came by each room to bring mints and ask if we needed anything.  It was a nice touch.  The rooms are very nice.

I came to the Viejas Hotel for a work meeting.  When I got to the front counter I was told I'd been upgraded to a suite.  Cool.  So I get my room card and get up to the fourth floor (after some difficulty getting the elevator to recognize my and the other guests' cards.  Anyway I'm walking down the hallway and notice the space between the doors is getting longer and longer.  I get all the way to the end of the hall and my room number matches the Presidential Suite!  Holy cow was this place huge!  Sitting area, dining table, kitchen, bar, three televisions, two bathrooms, huge bed, jacuzi bathtub and enormous shower etc.  I thought maybe it had something to do with my meeting but the next morning I asked the person I was meeting with and he said no, he hadn't mentioned to any of the staff that I'd be there.  It was such a beautiful room it made me wish I had friends in the area so I could have invited them over!  Anyway, I got a good night's rest, I confirmed that even the very nicest room gets the same kind of bath towels (which were really pretty decent, but weren't 100% soft, as these things usually are to withstand constant laundering).  The room was perfect, the staff in the lobby were AMAZING and I would definitely stay here again, even without the surprise upgrade.

At one point I had to do some work in the hotel lobby on my laptop before leaving.  I had been sitting there for a little while and one of the front desk staff brought me a bottle of water.  Just really nice little touches like this.  Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and exceptionally professional.  Great job Viejas!!
