better than the courtyard in vallejo. more quiet. nicer, larger room with a big chair and ottoman, desk. nicer flatscreen tv & more channels, bed seemed more comfortable. walking distance to a 24 hour superwalmart and other shops and plenty of places to eat.

A great place to stay in the Napa Valley if you are on a budget. The hotel is very clean and located near a new shopping area with several places to eat. The pool and hot tub are excellent and are very well-maintained. I was also pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast as well. While the hotel isn't close to the main attractions in Napa, several wine touring companies do pick up from this hotel.

The only con is the noise. As a previous poster wrote, you can hear the highway noise in the morning if you're on that side of the hotel. You can also hear all the doors slamming early in the morning as well. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay for the price.

The customer service is very good.  People are friendly.  The hotel is clean (only 2 years old and and they just put in new carpet).  It's not a fancy hotel, so it's a 4 star for the money.

Breakfast is not bad, but it's a basic cafe style:

Coffee and tea 24 hours/ day.   If you are looking for oatmeal, go to the hot drink section here.
Yogurt, milk, hardboiled eggs is in the refrigerator next to the cereal.
Hot cinnamon buns, processed scrambled eggs, bacon, and hot biscuits are in the hot section.  There's toaster and english muffins, raisin bread and other types of bread as well.

    Workout Gym.
2 treadmill, 1 elliptical and one sit-down  stationary bike.  The elliptical does not work very well because it does not have any resistance to it.  All are connected to the cable tv so bring your headphone when you work out.

    Business center
I did not use it, but there are 2 computers and 1 printer.

I did not check out the outdoor pool and spa, but it's suppose to bee 80 and 100 degrees respectively.

    IN YOUR ROOM

    WIFI
It looks like there is about 6 routers in the facility.  If you really need it, make sure you get a suite not at the end of the hallway.  It looks like there the WIFI signal is the weakest.

    iPod charger clock and radio

Each bed you'll get 2 firm pillows and 2 soft.

For light sleepers, yes, it's muffled by the double pane window, but  you can still hear the cars along the highway especially if you are face it.

Why the 3 stars and not 4?
    I actually like it enough that I want to give it a 4 star and since I can't get a 3.5, it's a 3 star.

I was experiencing a few technical difficulties:

    1) There were ants in my room on the 3rd floor.  It implies that there may be ants on the 1st and 2nd as well... I don't hold it against them, necessarily because I checked-in when it was raining.  The hotel is surrounded by trees and vineyard which is part of its beauty and ants are sometimes expected.  So, I would not say having ants is the worse thing in the world (like roaches).  Anyway, the front desk moved us to a second floor and our room did not have ants.

    2) Climate control was noisy and annoying.  It's as loud as a car running with the coolant fan on and you are next to the car.  Even though you turned it off in the control panel, it may still want to run at a random time.  After I turned it off at noon  it did not run until 2am and it turned on every 1/2 hour for about 1 minute.  It's enough noise  to wake me up.  At 4 am I called the front desk and he apologized and instructed me to manually turn off the unit itself (not the control panel) with the switch on the bottom left of the unit.  The control panel should have better instruction.  Apparently the off button is not really off.

    3)  I was able to check out a room with 2 queen bed and 1  with 1 king sized because of the ant issue.    I think the queen sized beds are actually full-sized bed.  It's definitely smaller than one I got at home.  I think the King size is about right although I'm not totally sure.

    4) I brought a dress shirt to wear for the weekend expecting the iron would work.  It did, but build up of the hard water that grainy salt-like calcium went to my dress shirt making the iron and iron board counter productive.

So why did I not make it a 2 stars?  I still like the experience even though I did not sleep well.  I think the climate control may need a mechanical tweaking and now that I know how to permanently make it off, it will be a better night sleep.  The ant issue, as mentioned, I got a new room, so it's okay.  It was more trouble for us, but we're flexible.
For the money, it's a good place to stay and experience Napa Valley.

    Would I go back?  Yeah.

We're not ones who really enjoy the complimentary breakfasts in hotels -- we prefer large, fresh, sit-down meals -- but it's pretty decent here. Nothing exciting, but all good.

The room was nice, service was very friendly, and the location was excellent: everything you need is within walking distance (gas, coffee, yogurt, Sonic)!

Clean, large, comfortable bed, fluffy towels, breakfast buffet, internet, ground floor rooms (stow the bikes inside), great location.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and warm.  Efficient and quick, she checked everyone in with the same genuine enthusiasm.
Price was good for Napa area on the weekend and the hotel is very easy to get in and out of.  Starbuck's across the street and nearby restaurants, although we ate in Yountville.
    Will definitely stay here again.

Pros: The place is new, clean and well-priced. The towels and bath mats are fluffy, the beds are big & comf. The staff is friendly. Easy drive from the Bay Area, and from there on to Napa valley (but yes, definitely get a designated driver!)

Cons: You can hear the highway noise from your room if it faces that direction. All the TVs in the breakfast area are tuned to Fox News (and there wasn't a remote anywhere). The pool is very small, right next to the highway and the lounge chairs are in a separate area, not inside the gated area near the pool. Elevators ping loudly when the doors open.

Neutrals: While breakfast is free, nothing they served was all that tasty, so I ended up having Starbucks nearby (which wasn't all that much better, but at least you can get oatmeal & fruit).

You cannot find a better deal in the Napa area on a hotel. It has a great park behind it along with several new shops/stores in the same parking lot. We took one of the two bedroom suite rooms which were practically brand new.

The pool area is laid out very strange since all the furniture is on the outside of the gate and once in the pool you have no where to put your stuff. The pool was also grossly dirty so we opted for the hot tub which was nice, clean, and very warm.

The breakfast from is decent but for free you really cannot complain at all. The front desk also has  free cookies that are tasty. Front desk was helpful and gave us 15% off coupon for a dinner place when we asked for a recommendation. We crashed here for three nights and loved our stay in the area with a great price on the room.

A great new hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds.  And the price was right.  Our room was $119.00 for the night.  Please note, this was in off season, so the prices might vary. If you want something fancier, then look elsewhere in Napa. This Holiday Inn is great if you're on a budget.  It's about 8 miles outside of the Napa area, so if you're going for a day of wine tasting keep that in mind...maybe get a designated driver.

Great stay at this hotel this past weekend.  The staff was extremely nice and helpful.  It was a perfect place to stay while venturing up into wine country, especially at this price.  The free breakfast was a nice perk. There were even chocolate chip cookies at  the front desk in the evening.  I only wish that they had a refrigerator in each room.  We will be back!

The location is right near anything and everything you need within a quick walk, they allow pets for free, they have a lousy, but hot breakfast - THOSE WERE NOT EGGS I ATE!  I feel violated.

The room is what you expect - close to Napa.  DO NOT use Priceline for this hotel.  I got it at $135 on priceline and the hotel had a $95 rate... But couldn't change it!

Ugh!  But, great place for the price.

What a pleasant surprise! This location is so clean and well maintained.  The staff was very friendly and really went  the extra mile to make our brief stay great. I loved the comfy bed which comes with a choice of pillows that are labeled SOFT and FIRM. Love! The continental breakfast was so so but i wasn't expecting anything gourmet. There is a Starbucks right across the street if you don't like the hotel coffee.

New property in 2009, this hotel had comfy beds, good showers, friendly and helpful staff, and easy high speed internet. That is what I need and I got it all almost perfectly.

Location is fantastic- especially if you are attending an event at Six Flags. You have gas, food, and even a park of sorts within walking distance.

Breakfast is complimentary. The food is not very good though. Maybe stick with the fruit and yogurt.

The room itself was small. I booked the King Suite and, well, it was missing a bunch of stuff they claim the rooms come with. The mini refrigerator couldn't keep temperature, the full kitchen was a tiny hand washing sink and a microwave, no plates, glassware, or silverware. For someone who selected this location for two big reasons, one being the full kitchen- this was a super disappointment.

My second reason was their pet policy. $50 and you can have your pet stay. Yeah, I paid up and all was well.

Very little t.p. and no backups were in the bathroom when I got there, so day one I had to go and ask for some toilet paper.

On the other hand, the only reason they got three stars is that the service was generally great. The girls in the morning, afternoon, and late evening are fantastic. The guy at night though: epic fail. They have complimentary coffee downstairs and when I went to get some with my fiance, he saw us, left the counter, and stared at us the whole time like we were going to steal something or doing something wrong. Seriously? Two grown women. I highly doubt we would do anything to your coffee station since we have better things to do. The least you could do was smile instead of give us dirty looks.

The other reason for the stars is that the place is clean. I talked to a super sweet lady mopping the floors as a part of her job. She was fantastic. Out of everyone, the cleaning crew seemed to have the absolute best attitude of all. Big love for them.

My mom and I stayed here during a trip to San Fran for my birthday.  We got tired of the city quickly, and moved our behinds up to the "country."

This place is great!  Great location to Napa as well as a nice Walmart for some cheaper bottles of wine and wine openers.  Comfortable beds, clean rooms, newer hotel...what more can you ask for?

Our view was of a dumpster in the parking lot and 7-11 across the street. It's a great location though! I was suprised to find the hotel next to a plaza with Starbuck's, Jamba Juice, Panda Express, Wing Stop, Round Table, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Sonic.. Walmart (a Walmart Supercenter no less).. and then some.

The hotel just opened this month. Evan said the hallways smelled like donuts. It was sweet but, I don't know about donuts. They offer free complimentary breakfast from 6am-10am everyday. They have a pool and jacuzzi as well as a business center with 2 PCs that's available at no extra charge.

The elevators gave us a few scares when it would bounce up and down. We had 2nd floor rooms and the hotel had 3 floors. We could sometimes hear the thumps from the above floor so I would recommend you trying for 3rd floor rooms. The rooms were nice. iHome clocks that you can dock your iPod into! Our bathroom only had one sink in our double occupancy room, some built-in shelves for extra towels, and the shower worked well with enough water pressure and levels of temperature. I hate staying at places with ridiculously low pressure. If you forgot any toiletries, they had the typical kind available to call for-- toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.

After checking in, the front desk called to see how we were and if we needed anything. We had a good stay and would stay again.

    Don't forget to tip housekeeping.

For what you pay, this is great! The hotel is nice and clean, a lot better than other Holiday Inn's I've visited. The service was above great, everyone is nice and accommodating.

The two reasons I bump it down to three stars:

    1. The wifi. Wow, how it sucks. I have a web-based job and I depend on internet access where ever I go. This wifi is ridiculous, completely useless. It is free though......although I'd rather pay and get something better.
    2. We had a room facing the road and it got loud! I had to sleep with earplugs, because you really do hear a lot of noise from the cars outside. I don't know if this might be better in other rooms, but if you like quiet rooms, ask for one that does not face the road.

The stay was definately a pleasant one, I just hope they get better wifi access!

    Pros:
    1. Clean and spacious rooms
    2. very comfortable bed
    3. pillows were great - they have firm, medium, and soft and it's labelled :)
    4. complementary wifi, breakfast

    Cons:
    1. AC/heating unit was loud - annoying but not unbearable.

WIth chain hotels it can be a hit or miss.  Luckily, it was a HIT!!! Our room was on the 4th floor facing the freeway.  It overlooked the swimming pool and jacuzzi. I think we were high enough where we didn't hear any freeway noise.
The room was very clean.  The rugs were not torn, tattered, or stained.  The bed, comforter, and linen were clean.  The bed was comfortable and the tv worked.  The bathroom was in good condition as well.
The staff was friendly and attentive, there was a Continental breakfast between 7:30-10a.  This was no ordinary CB . . . there were eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereal, muffins, fruit, toast, boiled eggs, juices, coffee, and tea.  Enough said!
OH wait, if you get hungry right downstairs is a Round Tables Pizza, Jamba Juice, and a few other places not to mention Walmart is in the next parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Voila!

Staying here for work, for the better part of two weeks.

Pros: clean, comfortable bed and pillows, newer facilities and furnishings, decent complimentary breakfast.

Cons:  1) Very thin walls.  You hear almost everything in the rooms next door, even when its not loud and your tv is on.  2) Staff info is consistently unreliable.  When I checked out after week 1 I told the staff at front desk I really liked the top floor room location I had because it was quiet and asked if they could hold a room for me in that general location for my week 2 stay.  Was told, no problem, its done.  Maybe not surprisingly when I got back, no such hold was made and they only had 1 room left at all on the top floor, and it faced the highway.  I was told I could have a room on the corner of the 2nd floor, so I said ok.  Except when I got to the room it was a different location entirely.  Also, near the end of week 1 my co worker realized he would need to be back for week 2 and asked about a reservation.  We were told there was only one night available at the rate we had been paying, with a strange and complicated explanation of how their rates fluctuate.  The next morning as we were checking out we asked that day's staff and were immediately given a reservation for the full week at the current room rate...

These are more frustrations than deal breakers, so far.  And this place doesn't have corner on unreliable staff, but when you're consistently given misleading or wrong information about basic things its frustrating and could be worse.  Now I feel like I have to check and double check all info just to be safe.

I enjoyed my stay quite a bit.  For racers going to Sears Point like me, it is kinda far from the track.  But in exchange you get a place that's walking distance to several eateries, a Wal Mart, and an Autozone.  That's worth driving a little further for me.

The room was large and clean, with a separate seating area.  I think the couch folded out.  The beds were nice.  The linens were clean and soft.  The breakfast was excellent, with fresh cooked eggs, bacon, and full-size yogurt cups for the taking, in addition to the usual cereal and pastries.  I think the hot tub was salt water; it was pretty nice to soak in after a long day at the track.

I will return.  It's a little expensive, but it's totally worth it IMO.

Up here in Napa for a winery dinner and tasting party.  We found this great deal with Holiday Inn Express online a few months ago and they are dog friendly.
Upon arrival, we noticed it is conveniently located right off Hwy 29 and 24 hr Safeway is just 2 short blocks away. There is also a shopping mall nearby with some cheap eats.  Across the way from the hotel is a park as well so your 4 legged friends can exercise and relieve themselves.

The room and bath room are very clean.  The bed is super comfortable.  O and free Wifi. Signal is very strong at the 3rd floor.  There is also complimentary breakfast.  I have not try it; will definitely try it in the morning.  I'd stay here again.

I'm giving one star, because my hotel stay was mostly OK. What wasn't OK, however, was the fact that my swimsuit (and the swimsuits of my friends) were ruined when we swam in the pool and hot tub. The chlorine content was so high it burned our eyes and lungs and streaked the colors on our suits. We brought it to the attention of the manager. We filled in the proper forms. We were given every assurance that they would remedy the problem and reimburse us, but they didn't.
I called several times over many months and spoke with Mr. Pasqual, the manager. Each time he would tell me "the check's in the mail". He never sent it. Why would he lie?
I complained to Holiday Inn's corporate office and got the same run-around. They insist I have to work it out with Mr. Pasqual. Unbelievable.

I chose this hotel to host a block of rooms for my wedding last weekend. The initial process of selecting the hotel was great - the front desk staff was wonderfully kind and willing to show me and my bridesmaid some rooms. I was so excited to find a site so close to my reception venue. Unfortunately, my good experiences with the Holiday Inn ended there.
My bridesmaid volunteered to take care of booking the rooms, and she had to jump through hoops in order to connect with Shirley, the sales director; once she was able to connect, Shirley communicated unreliably and wasn't able to help in the booking process. My friend went beyond the sales director to the hotel manager, and booked a total of 30 rooms between two nights for a very reasonable price. Part of the contract included a free night for the bride (me!) and groom if all rooms were booked by the predetermined deadline.
What luck! I called a day or two after the deadline and was told all of the rooms in our block were booked. Unfortunately, something went wrong in that process, because come the week of the wedding, I was told only 12 rooms total had been booked EVEN THOUGH many of my guests were denied reservations and told that the block was full. Guests who wanted to stay at the hotel and were willing to pay full price for a room were told there were no rooms available in the entire hotel and were forced to stay elsewhere.
I tried to make my guests' stay more personal, so I called ahead and asked the front desk if they would be willing to pass put welcome bags to all guests with reservations in my wedding block - the lovely girl on the phone assured me that that was no problem. The day of check in, I brought twelve bags (and extra fresh baked cookies for the hotel staff as a premature thank you!) and left them at the front desk to be distributed upon check in.
Once guests were filtering in, I came to realize no one was given a bag. After a peeved family remember complained to the front desk about their failure to follow through with my request, two women brought the bags to the door of each room in the block.
Upon check out, I was charged for my room, despite my understanding that if my block was full, my room would be free of charge. I suppose this comes back to the fact that our block wasn't fully booked - EVEN THOUGH my guests were told no blocked rooms were available and turned away from the hotel.
Also, during NO PART of my two night stay was I recognized as the bride - nor my husband as the groom - no congratulations or a thank you from the front desk, not a word. I don't need a bottle of champagne or a welcome sign, but a "Congratulations!" to the bride would have been appreciated.

Awful. I was completely disappointed. This hotel could have been such a great part of my wedding weekend, but it definitely fell short. I won't be coming back, and I will tell anyone staying in the area to give their service to another company. I'm so terribly disappointed in my experience with The Holiday Inn of American Canyon.

Wow - I hate not leaving a good report. It was not the hotel that was "bad" but the problem I had with billing that was a problem.

My client paid for the room with their credit card. The hotel insisted on a credit card when I checked in for "incidentals" and then they charged my credit card for the room! OK, so this happens occasionally - maybe once every few years with me since I do this a lot; however - I called, I complained, they said they would credit me, and they DIDN'T!!!

I had to call AGAIN a month later!!! Personally, this makes them screwed in my book. So, it's not the rooms or such, just their bookkeeping that has a big problem...

We booked out room for our wedding night.  We had most of family and friends stay at the hotel as well.  The manager during the night of August 30 would not allow my husband to check in and required me to check in for him, which we did.  We booked our priest a separate room and when he checked in, got the key to the same room we had checked in on August 30.  Saturday the 31st, front desk man moved my husbands belongings from now our priest's room to another room.

After our wedding Saturday night, the receptionist at the desk could not find our new room or our stuff.  After waiting an hour, they find our room which was promised to be comped due to the inconvenience.  Of course, my card was charged. Poor customer service & management. Also The night manager told all of our guests that we requested only king beds for them.  We never reserved rooms under a wedding group.  We just gave them the hotel name and that was all. Why would someone request only king beds for 3-4 guests in a room anyway?!

    They're running a circus here.

I have stayed here quite a few times whenever I have to play soldier for the Army Reserves.  I haven't experienced any issues at this Holiday Inn.  Check-in is quick, the rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful.

They serve continental breakfast and usually have fruits, pastries, coffee, juice, small waffles or pancakes, yogurt, milk and toast in the lobby area.

There's ample parking and you're literally within walking distance to numerous fast food restaurants such as Panda Express, Sonic, Round Table Pizza, Starbucks, etc.  There is also a Walmart right across the street as well.

As far as noise level, it has been pretty quiet every time I have stayed here.  I would definitely come back to stay.

Clean, super friendly staff, and no hassles. Plus the price was fantastic compared to most of the other hotels in the area. The breakfast that was offered was also surprisingly nice. While it is not as glamorous or luxurious some of the other hotels in the area, we did not need to spend much time in the hotel and it met our needs.

Really liked this hotel -- it was close enough to where my conference was being held -- yet way less in price. The hotel and rooms were very clean, had comfortable beds, and a great staff.
Had breakfast included - was plain and simple yet different every day.
It was also easy to find - almost a straight drive to where I needed to be every day.

It's unfortunate IHG doesn't have a property in the heart of Napa Valley so you'll have to settle for choosing one in the gateway to Napa Valley. This branch is right off the main highway of American Canyon en route to Napa. Location wise, it's easy to find and surrounded by convenient places like fast food, shopping and gas.

This was the second HI express where I was unfortunate to get a non working iron and needing to follow up with the front desk to get a new one. This is still a good value in terms of hotels, but understand what you are paying for in regards to service. I hope IHG gets a property in Napa Valley in the meantime.

Everyone is super nice. Great breakfast. Lots of food near by and a Wal-Mart, Starbucks and other stuff a block away. Park across the street and pet friendly. A great place.

Newer Holiday Inn Express property. The property was generally very clean. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Front Desk staff helpful. I booked this room through a third party site and managed to snag a very reasonable rate.

As others have noted, noise can be an issue. You can hear occupants next door to you and cars rushing by if your room faces the highway. If you aren't a heavy sleeper, bring some noise canceling headphones. I would otherwise give this place 5 stars (considering what it is aspiring to offer)

Free breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast, which is actually pretty good.  A little nitpicky, but I wish they (e.g. Holiday Inn Express in general, not just this location) had some fruit available, like oranges or apples. They do have bananas, which were green and unripened. Plenty of coffee. The woman manning the breakfast area was very affable and attentive.

Stayed here for a bachelorette party. Great value for your money!

Location: If you need a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Sonic's, Wing Stop, Panda Express, or Bank of America, they are literally in a walking distance. You do not need to drive. Wal-Mart is also right there.

Staff: Very helpful. I accidentally locked my friend's keys in her trunk and even though they didn't have a service for that, they were able to find me a wire hanger which saved the day. :P Another employee was able to get me my soda from their break room when the other machines weren't working.

Check-in: We arrived there super early (9:00am) and had three rooms. We were skeptical about them letting us have our rooms that early, but one of the rooms was available so they gave it to us. So nice

Free breakfast: It's not much. Pastries, pancakes, juices, cereal, etc, but it's FREE! Can't complain about that!

Rooms: Clean and satisfactory. Each room fit 6 comfortably.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful area!

Great price for a clean and simple room. You'll need a car to get to the wineries as the hotel is 15 mins south of Napa. The cheaper price may not be worth it for those wanting to be closer. Lots of options for breakfast (no fruit when we were there unfortunately).

We stayed there for one night on Christmas Day. The room was comfy and big, we had a great sleep rest after driving all day long from Los Angeles. The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was very good! We will definitely recommend it to anyone! It's also super close to Napa!

Nice hotel and amenities. My only gripe is their billing mistake which tied up more than $1k in my checking account due to a clerical error.

Love the location and room prices - I just hated the mistake that was made.

Stayed for two nights using points so I figured we'd get the crummiest room but to my surprise we were given a great room on the back side away from the main road.  The room was clean, the linens were nice and the beds were comfortable enough.  There was a little living area/work station that had a sofa bed, tables and chairs, and a little kitchenette type deal nearby with a sink, microwave and mini fridge.

As others mentioned, the walls did seem a little thin and I was able to hear the neighbors but nothing a little AC and TV didn't drown out.

The breakfast was good and we were able to fill up each morning before we headed out.

I didn't have too much interaction with the staff but the gal that checked me in was pleasant and the gal that worked in the breakfast area was helpful.

You can do better. The price is meh, Wi-Fi is SUPER SLOW, and the walls are thin - you can hear road noise and people chattering in the next room over. The heater was super loud and the shower liked to 'whine' for 10 minutes while running. They also didn't have a refrigerator OR microwave - I thought these appliances are pretty much standard in all hotel rooms now!

On a positive note, there is ample parking that's close to most of the rooms & their complimentary breakfast is pretty awesome. If you MUST come here, check out their pancake making machine during breakfast.

When we arrived on Sunday April 27 we were left waiting at the desk for several minutes before the desk attendant came out from her office, at which point she took a phone call for several more minutes before helping us. We had reservations and the room was paid for so it only took a few seconds to check us in. She did not even tell us our floor or room number, or where the elevators were located. At this point we strongly considered leaving.

We enjoyed our stay in the room. Beds were comfortable, bathroom very clean, temperature was good. We would have appreciated a mini fridge and microwave - we had to throw out food because we couldn't keep it cold.

We love Holiday Inn Express for the breakfast, and this trip was no exception. The breakfast options were superb. However, there were not enough tables, and the tables that were available were dirty (sticky with dirty plates). I wish people would clean up after themselves, but if they won't then a paid employee should do it for them.

***Also, my family and I were INCENSED that Fox News was playing on both televisions in the breakfast room. You had 4 stars before breakfast, but Fox News really hurt your image in our eyes. Put the televisions on something neutral, please.

Went here for a girls weekend and it was the perfect setup. Queen beds were comfortable with great bed covers. Had a couch and table that we could sit at and chat. Refrigerator in the room allowed us to hang on to our leftovers for a late night snack. Hot tub was nice and clean. Breakfast was good if you had the time to make something and sit. Would come back if I'm in the area.

They owe me over $1000 and no one will call me back!

I stayed here on business last Saturday 3/21-3/28.

Other people from my company have stayed in this hotel and we have a direct pay account with them.

Upon arrival I went over again and again with the front desk that they were only taking my debit card because they required one and that my company would be direct billed for my stay.

When I checked out, I did it in person and repeated with the girl at the front desk person over and over again that my card would not be charged and that my company would be sent a bill.

Well now here we are and they charged the amount to my card! And here is the kicker, I started a new job last Monday... so not only is this added super stress to me on my first week at a new job... it is not easy to get reimbursed... ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DIRECT BILL!!

I have called the hotel and talked to Oliver. He was supposed to have his manager call me but no one ever did. I called again and asked for a manager and left a message on James's voicemail and still, no one will call me back.

I had to put my rent on a credit card today which they charged me a hefty fee for doing! I'll be lucky if other bills don't overdraft my bank account!

I was 100% ready to recommend this hotel but I don't think I can ever trust them again after this! I was already planning to stay at another Holiday Inn in couple of years when I bring my husband back but I can't afford it if they can't handle instruction on how to properly charge someone. I'm in tears right now.

Have to say I was disappointed in this Holiday inn Express.  Holiday in Express is always our first choice if they have a hotel in the area. This one falls short... Property is good looking, beds are comfy but walls are motel 6 thin and almost a half a building away from elevator the ding ding of its doors will wake you out of a dead sleep. Maid service was spotty to the point that on our second night we had to fix the plugs on the tv and go to the lobby for coffee because they didnt refill our room coffee and sugar.  Price was steep for what you got will stay somewhere else on our next trip to the Napa Valley.

I just checked out this morning after staying 4 nights out of a six night stay.  Why?  Well, let's start on Sunday night: The first thing was the television.  I was having problems with the remote.  It controlled the TV controls fine, but the channel control wouldn't change channels unless I got up and held it right in front of the sensor.  The channel card numbers didn't jive with the channels on their cable system. Then while I was watching a very interesting news story, the channel changed to the local ABC channel.  So, I tried to change it back, and after spending about 15 minutes getting it back to the news channel, it changed back again. I notified the desk, and they swapped out my remote.  It wasn't the problem.  It was the cable box.  So, I went back to the desk and told them.  They said maintenance would have to fix it in the morning.
Monday night:  When I returned to my room, they had swapped out the TV for another one.  They didn't change the cable box, so the same thing happened multiple times.  I went back to the desk, and told them it was the control box that was defective.  I spent the evening trying to watch it, but ended up surrendering to ABC programming.  I was having problems with the speed of the "free" WiFi, but there wasn't anything anyone could do about it.  It wasn't a pleasant couple of days, but I wanted to give them a chance.
Tuesday night:  When I walked in, they had given me another television set, but the controller was the same. Yes, it did the same thing.  The ghost kept changing the channel back to ABC, so I turned it off, went to the front desk, and told them.  I went back to my room, went into the bathroom, and there were ants all over the toilet, bathtub, and bathroom floor trailing from an opening in the bottom corner of the tub.  I killed them all, walked back to the desk, and told them. They said they were "having problems" with that, and assured me it would be fixed in the morning.  Since I had work to do, I didn't have time to check-out and move, so I decided to stay.
Wednesday night:  I returned to the room, and there was another TV, same controller. Same problem.  I went into the bathroom.  There were a few ants and a couple of pincher bugs walking around the floor.  I killed them and notified the desk.  They said an exterminator had been spraying the rooms for two days straight, as other people had the same problem, and they were trying to fix the problem.  I told them about the TV.  They said they would tell maintenance in the morning.
Thursday morning:  I woke up, went into the bathroom, and there were more ants on the floor, in the bathtub, and on the toilet.  I had to get ready to go to my class, but I had enough.  I got online, booked a room at another hotel, and called the desk to explain why I was checking out two days early.  They said they were having problems getting rid of the ants, but they understood.
I have been a Holiday Inn rewards customer for decades.  I always stay at their Inn and Suites hotels, and never had a problem like I did here.  I was bummed that the problems were never fixed, and apparently, never would be.
Why did I give them two stars instead of one?  The staff was pleasant to deal with, with the exception of the bugs, the room was clean, and reasonably comfortable (the bed was too hard and not comfortable)  The breakfasts were decent, even though the tables weren't always set with salt and pepper or cleaned between diners, but at least the food was edible.
I felt that the problems were out of the staff's control, and they appeared to be very frustrated about it.  They were also very apologetic about it, too, so much so, they refunded me for two nights.
My beef is that if you are spending over $100 for a hotel suite, it should be bug free and the damn TV should work flawlessly.  I'm staying at another suite hotel now, and everything works great.  Everything is clean and bug free.  The staff is nice, too.  I'm getting points on my other hotel rewards card, so it's all good.
The manager told me that this was not indicative of the brand of the hotel.  I told him I understood, but the TV and bug problems should have been fixed immediately, because they were both completely unacceptable.  He gave me two days off the bill and I checked out.
I love the Holiday Inn brand, but I'm going to check around next time and only book what I feel would be like the hotel I'm in now. I'll be back to Holiday Inn, but I will be looking for more problems before I bother getting the luggage out of the car!
    Buyers beware!!!

I booked this hotel towards the end of the night and was still able to get a room. We arrived at the front desk and were greeted nicely. I requested if we can check out an hour late the next day and they gladly gave me my request. The place seems to be nice and in order. We got to our room which seemed nice and clean. Soon, we started finding things that are not right. It might be small things for other people but it's so simple that it shouldn't happen in the first place.

The first problem is the TV. The remote control is really hard to use to a point that I was so close to giving up on watching. You really have to press the buttons so hard and multiple times before something will happen. There is also no channel guide to be found, so finding the channel you want takes forever.

Another problem was that the air-conditioning is pretty loud and continues to turn on and off every 30 mins. If you're a light sleeper then you won't be able to have a good night sleep.

Going on to the bathroom area, it's so disappointing to find that their shower curtain is a couple inches short. It's like wearing a hanging blouse, and I'm not even kidding. We didn't like it because it tends to make the flooring wet and we just want to be able to shower comfortably without worrying about wetting the floor. But the most surprising thing about the bathroom is the coffeemaker. I don't think it's an appropriate place to put a coffeemaker nor any kind of beverages. I guess they want you to have a coffee while sitting on the toilet.

On a good note, they have free wifi and complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is self serve but they don't have a lot of choices. They serve some simple continental breakfast, which is good enough for a quick grub. If you don't want their breakfast choices, this hotel has a good location and is just right next to a lot of fast food restaurants (Round Table, Panda Express, Subway, Wingstop, and HiLo).

Overall, this hotel is a good place to stay at for a couple of nights with a reasonable price. I just hope they would fix the small issues that I've mentioned above.

We stayed at this property for one week while our home was undergoing repairs and I have only rave reviews for the rooms, the front desk staff and the ladies who clean the rooms. All very cheerful and considerate. The entire property is spotlessly clean which always makes time away from home more pleasant.

Thank you Grace and your entire staff.
