Lovely, absolutely lovely.  I agree with Lind Y's review.  You felt immediately at home.  There is no TV, radio, landline phone, alarm clock in your room.  But you had all that you needed as the room was a good size with your queen bed and plenty of space to put your things.  The bathroom was a good size with all the amenities that you'd need.  I was happily surprised that an older house like that didn't have hot water issues with all of us up & about.  There are 3 rooms where people can stay.  They do say its an inappropriate place for kids and it makes sense when you visit.  There's a time and place for everything and this place is a B&B which means there are alot of little details which are breakable and there's only so much space if a child wanted to run around.  And the atomosphere is really a more quiet, serene, peaceful one so I get it.  We have children and if they come then we go for the Embassy Suites which our kids love.  We'll come here when it's just the two of us.  Judy makes a wonderful breakfast.  She made her french toast souffle with fresh fruit.  the fruit was wonderful and she was sweet to share her recipe!  Plus I commented how I loved a plant and she gave me some to plant at home!  She was so sweet to share.  It is an easy walk from here to head to the village of Arroyo Grande.  It's location is close to get to everything - Pismo, SLO, etc.  We want to come back again.  This is definitely in our places to stay again list!

This is to place to go to relax and be pampered! Judy is a marvelous hostess and fabulous cook. She remembers each guest's wants and likes and caters to each person. She provides lots of fun snacks. For breakfast, she made us amazing sweet potato muffins, bacon cooked just right, eggs and this amazing mixed fresh grilled vegetables with salsa. My tea cup was never empty and it was so relaxing just to sit with my family and talk while being waited on. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are large. There are lots of places to hang out and read or talk and the surrounding towns are fun to explore.

Wonderful hosts, quaint atmosphere, and a very unique experience! FYI, there are a lot of clocks and trinkets that may creep some people out, but I found them charming. Not for those that like a trendy, hip place to stay, but if you're into down home, old-style architecture with tons of memorabilia from California's History, you'll love it here. And the breakfast was incredible! Fresh fruit, homemade waffles, eggs and bacon, and all the fresh juice and coffee you can drink. Jack and Judy, who run it, are tremendous people--they deserve all success!

Warm, charming, and quaint pretty much sum up House of Another Tyme. Whenever I'm on vacation, one thing I really miss is the homey feeling. Hosts Jack and Judy made us feel comfortable and welcomed in their home.

The B&B consists of three rooms with comfortable beds and antique pieces. There is no TV or radio in the rooms, which really was like being back in a simpler time without a care in the world. All you need is a good book (and in my case, a knitting project), and you can relax in your room, the living room (and be impressed with Judy's collection of over 90 antique clocks!) or in the lovely garden in the back with beautiful flowers, a koi pond, two aviaries (finches and canaries) and a bunny named Thumper who will come up and greet you if you're nice :)

Judy is a wonderful cook, and she will make you feel right at home with delicious breakfasts! We stayed here for two days and she made a delicious veggie frittata with a ginger peach salsa the first morning, and fresh veggies with freshly-baked apricot almond muffins the next morning. I told them I cannot have too much cheese and Judy was so considerate and made everything cheese-less for me. Both Jack and Judy gave us wonderful recommendations on restaurants, sights to see, and scenic routes to take in San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and surrounding areas. Judy even packed us a bag of fruit and muffins the morning we left because we were taking a long drive up the coast to Hearst Castle.

If you're looking for a quiet, charming, homey, and warm place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy SLO or Pismo Beach, I highly recommend House of Another Tyme!

One of the sweetest ladies you'll meet runs this place.

We arrived here at 3:00PM even though our check in time was at 6:00PM but they didn't mind the early visit. Once we got there, Judy prepared ripe strawberries and fresh apricots which were just bought from the farmer's market.

One thing you'll notice about this house is that it has a TON of antique clocks. 102 to be exact. In addition to these, there were many other antiques placed near the walls, tons of books and paintings with stories behind them. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and had easily accessible outlets for charging our electronics.

When Breakfast time rolls around, I come out of the room to be met with a nice glass of juice and mug of coffee. The service Judy provided to the entire party is exceptional. Never had my coffee mug run dry and my plate always had something on it. The entire meal was handmade except for the condiments.

After breakfast, we headed out to the backyard to visit the pets which were currently a rabbit and cat that frequently visits. One can tell that much effort is put into this home as it's one of the most well kept places I've visited.

Although this was the first B&B, I can't imagine the experience can get any better than at House of Another Tyme.

    Oh, and they have WiFi.

What a lovely safe place for my nineteen year old daughter and I to stay.  My kids ended up with alternate spring breaks making it so my husband and son had to stay home.  Jack and Judy were lovely hosts and made my daughter and I feel at home.  We loved our room with two comfy beds and their gardens were just lovely.  I was happy that there was no phone or  TV in the room.  It gave us a chance to talk and play games together after a lovely walk through Arroyo Grande.  We really enjoyed our stay here.  Judy even made a wonderful vegetable melody for me with fruit after I told her about the diet I was on.  My daughter enjoyed the same with some eggs.

I recently spent a night here. The hosts were very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable. In addition to the great breakfast they also opened their kitchen so we could have snacks if we were hungry. The room was very nice and they even have a player piano in the living room. Can't wait to go back.

I am very glad that I made the choice to stay here. Judy and Jack are so so so nice. They make this place feels like a home to us. All the bedrooms are decorated with old fashion furniture, books and handicrafts. You'll think you are living in your grandparent's house, not a hotel or inn. I have to mention that The towels they provided even better quality than the one I use in my home. Judy collects old clocks, so you'll see many clocks here, like a museum :)
