Established in 2008.

History of The Casitas...
The Casitas' seven acres were purchased back in the early nineties from our neighbor, Dennis Fesler's father. The handsome Arabian horses you can sometimes see along the driveway hillside belong to Dennis and Annette, our very nice neighbors.

Sue Hutchison built this beautiful place in 1992 and it was known as the Casa De Colores Estate, homage we are sure to her passion for color in everything. What's obvious is she used the best materials available. We were told that the hardware was hand forged in Mexico; the extensive wood was hand milled on property using reclaimed redwood no longer available, and the tiles are a combination of Spanish and Italian tile.

When we purchased the property it was not active for lodging guests.  So everything from the name to website is new.  Many ask us about what we changed before opening to convert this from a private estate to our present inn. We think the pictures in each of the guest rooms tell it best!

The owners, Pat & Tony, are very warm and welcoming. The property is beautiful and the room is relaxing w/ all the ammenities you need. The gourmet breakfast delievered to your room or private patio at your time of choice is the perfect way to start off the day. A very private and relaxing escape.

I just wanted to submit a review for Pat and Tony and there wonderful little place. Me and my wife spent out honeymoon at the Casitas of Arroyo Grande and we couldn't have been happier. The location was just amazing and the weather was wonderful. We were in a good spot to branch out to the beach and to other interesting side trips. Pat and Tony are very warm and hospitable people, no wonder they decided to get into this business. When we visited the pool was still being constructed but we would love to go back now that its finished! It looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Tony & Pat even set up champagne and a nice card because it was our honeymoon. They were very accommodating and worked with us every step of the way. We really liked all of the little attention to detail that are provided. From the exquisite bath robes to the heater in the bathrooms to the tiling and decor of the rooms and the all the buildings. It was just beautiful. The location makes you feel like you are really "away from it all" and it is very private. I would surely recommend the casitas to anyone and me and my wife can't wait to go back!!!

This place is a slice of secluded heaven - a great romantic spot. We stayed in the Mariposa Casita - very beautiful and comfortable. The owners, Pat and Tony, are great. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a top-notch romantic getaway!

Natural surrounding beauty + amazing Spanish/ Mission style rooms with all sorts of modern conveniences and private patios + delicious breakfasts = bliss! This little slice of paradise is settled just outside of downtown, kind of on the way out towards Lopez Lake. There are only 4 suites on this good sized property and very limited parking ensuring a certain level of peace and quiet during your stay (unless you rent out the whole place for a fairly small wedding like my cousin did but even then you won't have the cops showing up with complaints about the noise). The property itself is filled with wonderfully kept gardens and lawns and the views of Arroyo Grande are breathtaking. A small pool adds a comfy touch as do the fireplaces in room. The rooms that I saw were spacious enough with oodles of shelves, nooks and closets for even the most overzealous packer/ shopper to put away all their stuff and the beds are apparently out of this world comfortable. To quote my aunt Denise:" I almost felt romantic last night!" I guess considering (a) her daughter was getting married the next day and (b) she and my uncle have been married for 30 years, that's saying something! Removed enough to be relaxing but close enough to civilization and the beaches so you shouldn't get lost. Go with a loved one and see if you almost feel romantic too (something tells me you will)!

Amazing!  Staying at the Casitas was worth every cent.  We spent the first 4 nights of our honeymoon here and were beyond impressed.  The owners are awesome, the views are incredible,  and breakfast each morning was outstanding.  The sheets on the bed were the nicest I have ever felt.  Book your stay now- you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I found this BnB online and she talked to Tony several times before we arrived. It looked great on the web sight and we were not disappointed in the location, meal, bed, views and wonderful hospitality. Tony was awesome to work with and his attention to detail was excellent. Our only bummer about the trip was we only stayed one night and should have booked it for two. Great spot and highly recommend it.

A truly unforgettable experience! I miss you already Casitas of Arroyo Grande!!!!

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and instantly fell in love. This bed and breakfast has 4 private Casitas, which are not connected so you have 4 walls to yourself and a private patio. You literally feel like you're at your own suite out in the middle of no-where. I think I saw one person while we were there for our 3 day - 2 night get-away.  What's amazing is that just down the street, less than 5 minutes away, are restaurants and movie theaters. We were able to go shopping at the outlets, grab dinner with a view of the ocean and the sunset, and grab snacks at Trader Joes and not get lost because everything was less than 10 minutes away! I loved being close enough to the city to hang out by the beach and come back to something so private with a beautiful view of the stars and like other Yelper's said, a beautiful meadow with grazing horses just like a fairy tale. You get your own fireplace, wifi, Bose iPod player, and HBO for those of you who cant stay away from technology, a delicious breakfast each morning (I hope you get to try Tony's AMAZING souffle) with your own pot of coffee, and a huge bed with the softest sheets EVER. We stayed in Sorisa but I suggest staying at Cielo, which has enough room for 4 people, a beautiful view, and direct access to the pool. A special thanks to Pat and Tony, they make you feel right at home and help out with anything and everything! You don't feel like a guest with them but more like family.

Perfect stop on our Honeymoon. The location is super hidden and has great views. They have a book all about any question you could ever have about the place in the room. It even tells you where you can buy the sheets, because you will really want to buy the sheets, super soft! The only downside was when we were there the weather was rainy and I couldn't use the pool with the amazing view. I guess I will need to book in summer next time.

My husband and I have stayed here twice now (both times in October) and I can't say enough wonderful thing about this place.  We stayed in the Sonrisa room which was wonderful, with a comfy bed, fireplace, and private patio....although I believe all the rooms have these amenities.  All of the rooms are independent of one another and if the weather is nice you can take breakfast out on your patio.  And the breakfasts are the most wonderful experience!  Challah French toast, egg soufflé, etc.  Pat and Tony are the most gracious hosts and super accommodating, while still giving you your space and privacy.  The location is perfect...right next to the Edna valley for wine tasting, with beautiful views from your room or patio.  We come to this area every year and have stayed in pismo beach, Atascadero, slo, and none of our experiences have been as fun or relaxing as they were at the Casitas.

We love this place! We travel to the Bay Area from Southern CA to see our kids and this is our favorite stop on 101. Just off the main highway into a heaven like place, great views, yummy food and Tony and Pat make us feel right at home. A few laps in the pool and enjoying the awesome view refresh us for the next half off our journey!

How have I not written a review for here?

My girls weekend here was wonderful and man, I want to come back. It's decadent, it's beautiful - out of reach of society, yet a close drive to the Village of Arroyo Grande and a mellow night life, and Talley Vineyards the other way.

Look forward to snacks and breakfasts to die for.

It's worth the splurge.

The Casitas is as good as it gets. I have stayed at there twice now and recently had my wedding there. Everything about The Casitas is outstanding and top notch, from the beautiful and luxurious rooms (which have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and each has a fireplace), to the breathtaking views, to the gourmet breakfast, to the amenities. The owners are also two of the nicest people I have ever met, and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. I would highly recommend The Casitas!

The Casitas is a wonderful place. I'm a wedding photographer and had the honor and privilege of photographing a wedding at the Casitas!  No only is the venue beautiful, classy and unique, but Pat and Tony, the owners are two of the nicest and classiest people you will meet. They were helpful, respectful, fun and positive.  They care about keeping their property top notch and the people that come to their beautiful bed and breakfast or wedding venue!  I always look forward to photographing weddings at this venue because they are so nice and the venue is so great.

This is one of the most beautiful, romantic, and private getaways I have ever been too!  My husband and I will definitely be making this an annual vacation spot.  If you live in either northern or southern california, it is just a short drive and very worthwhile.  You will come back refreshed and renewed.  Just lovely!!!!

I almost hate to leave a 5 star rating,  but they really do deserve it,  I just hope we can still book a room once others  discover the place!  Tony and Pat have the most amazing B&B.  We have stayed there several times now and will continue to go and enjoy one of the most friendly and amazing spots in Central California.  We wish you many years of continued success!  Sharon & Mark, Santa Cruz

What a spectacular venue Tony and Pat have created in Arroyo Grande. We stayed in the Sonrisa Casita for the weekend to celebrate our 37th anniversary and my birthday. Our casita was perfectly appointed and the separation of each casita means maximum privacy and quiet; we never heard a peep (except the sweet peeps of the nesting swallows as they fed their babies!). The meals were incredible; hospitality unrivaled. The landscaping is just beautiful. The lap pool is comfortable and easily accessed. The views of neighboring farms and vineyards create an idyllic feel. Tony and Pat were the perfect combination of gracious, attentive hosts without being intrusive. And, omg...the beds are so comfortable! Tony gave us wonderful activity and dining suggestions, as well. As I told Pat when we left, this was our favorite B&B experience ever! The Casitas are well-located in the central coast with easy access to the many activities the area offers. We cannot wait to return!

Everything that I value in a hotel/b and b can be found here- gracious hosts, super clean, amazing views, comfy beds, great decor, awesome dog. I loved the Spanish influence of the Casitas- open courtyard with beautiful flowers, great tile work. There is a lap pool and baci court with an amazing view. Tony made us delicious frittatas for breakfast. I loved their super soft sheets so much that I bought a set. They sell their linens at a  price. One of the best B and B experiences. Highly recommend.

The Casitas is a true gem of the central coast.  I work for a wedding and party company and we are proud to work with them. They have very reasonable pricing for the incredible views you get. Pat and Tony are always a joy to work with. They are just outside Arroyo Grande's downtown, so it is very private. If you are looking for breathtaking views, this is the place to go. The property overlooks the Arroyo Grande hills and is not far from Lopez Lake. The rooms are beautiful! Do yourself a favor and book this amazing venue for your wedding or just a weekend getaway. You will love it!

Five stars.  Lovely place.  Breakfasts were super.  Views of the surrounding valley and farms were outstanding.  Room was comfy and very private.  Hosts were the icing on the cake.  Kona, their dog....the cherry on top!!!!

One note to keep in mind: if you seek an experience of total secluded silence with no sounds of the "outside world", you may be a little disappointed.  The property is just up the hill from a road, so that if one sits by the pool, you can hear the cars whoosh by.  There are not many cars, maybe one a minute, but you can hear them.  NOT in your casitas, only outside near the pool.  And after a couple of minutes, you don't even notice them anymore.  Indeed, many people wouldn't notice this anyway.  I'm just personally sensitive to sound.

Lovely place.  We've already discussed returning with our families.

My wife and I just got married at The Casitas this last weekend and we could not have picked a better place. Throughout the reception my wife and I were constantly fielding questions about how we found such an amazing venue. Pat and Tony, the owners, were incredible! Right from the first moment we set foot on the property they made themselves open and available to any questions and suggestions we may have. Even on the wedding day, they were very involved to make sure, not only the wedding party, but also the guests were taken care of.

About the property - It sits atop a hillside which provided a gorgeous, Tuscan, panoramic view for our guests. The Casitas includes four upgraded, Spanish style "casitas" (one suite) and three separate levels in the backyard. The back of the main house is where we held our reception which comfortably fit 135 guests with farm tables. Below, there is a grass walkway which we used for the ceremony and below that tier, a pool where we held our cocktail hour.

Overall, The Casitas is an unbelievable venue that we were blessed to find. Luckily our detailed search and experience can be passed onto the next couple.

We absolutely loved the Casitas Estate! Here's my quick highlights:

1. Individual casitas make you feel special. Only four rooms on the estate, each one a detached building (casita, which I think means small house). The Cielo is isolated and overlooks the pool. We liked ours better, the Mariposa, which is one of three casitas laid out around a densely planted garden with water fountain.

2. You'll want to spend every moment on your private patio. Each room opens out to its own patio, with sweeping views of the valley below. We brought back wine, cheese and crackers for our own happy hour on the patio. We also took both breakfasts there, and played a few hands of cards as well. SO relaxing.

3. The owners are warm and helpful. Pat and Tony were perfect hosts, took pride as innkeepers, made us feel very welcomed.

4. Delicious breakfast included in room. One breakfast was crepes Suzette, the other was a sausage and potato egg casserole.

Enjoy your stay at the Casitas!

This was our 4th visit to Casitas Arroyo Grande, and we certainly plan on coming back! The Casitas grounds are beautiful with amazing views. The guest houses are cozy, private, and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is amazing, and we love the fact that it gets delivered to your room. This is must-stay if you are visiting in the area. Thank Pat and Tony for being delightful hosts!
