Because of comments I'd read about not having "extras", I was not expecting much. But there was a little fridge, a microwave, cable TV, and WiFi. The place was very clean, and did not smell of chemicals (I have allergies so notice those smells). It is true that there are no extras, like shampoo, hair dryer, Kleenex, nor coffee maker, and it definitely does not have the feel of a boutique hotel room. But it was perfect for a comfortable night's stay, and the people at the counter were extremely thoughtful and kind. I was visiting people in town so it was easy to walk around town. I'd gladly stay there again.

A simple clean little place run by a husband and wife team.  There was a hear dryer, a little fridge, a microwave, cable TV, and WiFi.  It was quiet and the owners were very accommodating.   . I'd gladly stay there again.

Nice clean rooms, and wonderful owners who are super friendly and helpful. We are pct hikers and they did our laundry when we arrived and keep a wonderfully organized hiker box. Highly recommended!!

You'll like it if: you need a clean, well-maintained, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay.
You won't like it if: you prefer deluxe, commodious accommodations with all the amenities.
This place is well taken care of, and the staff are friendly and available.  They give you WiFi but no free shampoo!  At least they've got their priorities right.  A room with two queen beds has little room left over for much else.  At the time of this writing, a single occupancy room was $52.  If I return to Etna, I will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here when we went to see family. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.  I missed having a coffee pot in the room is all. The price is right and a nice place to stay.

    Hiking? You should stay here.
Convenient location to the local hotspots.
The owners are extremely gracious and kind. The rooms are very clean and appointed with a comfortable bed, free (and fast) WiFi, sat tv, microwave, fridge and hair dryer. Also, they have what has to be the most organized hiker box I've seen.

We stayed at Motel Etna for four nights while nursing a leg injury from hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.  Right away we knew this was going to be one of our more pleasant town stops, as the owner brought us an ice pack right away, before we even checked in.  She also let us check in at 0800, so we could rest my partner's leg.

The room was very clean, without all the harsh chemical smells, which we notice much more after four months on the trail.  The room included a fridge and microwave, as well as fast WiFi.  No shampoo, but the PCT hiker box had plenty, and it was the most organized and tidy we'd seen yet.

These folks built this place almost 20 years ago, and run it well.  Don't expect super fancyness, but you'll more than get your money's worth here, from a kind and hardworking couple.
