Alright, this is a true rating...  I mean we had to stay here for 2 freakin weeks! That is a true hotel review, I can tell you the good, bad and the real ugly!

Due to our lovely upstairs neighbors that decided to do their own plumbing... our apt. had water seeping through the walls, we had walls ripped out of our place, it was a lovely ,mess, thank you.

Alright, so we moved to the comfort inn, most of the people up front at the desk where nice, about 30 percent of the others I could have left behind...

The 99 year old security guard is useless and a bit creepy, we had kids -more like teenagers running up and down the halls for like an hour straight... at like 2 in the morning on a week day, you didn't do much to fix it, we only had to call the front desk like 4 times!

There was one worker inparticular who loved to have mini partys in the "lounge of the hotel" during their graveyard shift,- really? Thanks for the nights of no sleep...

Lets be positive here... what did I like? hmm, I liked your mini gym, no one ever uses it so it was all mine....

I liked your pool, that was nice.

thats about it....

we stayed for the park and ride as park of our cruise. I think it was about $175.00. very reasonable considering they provided transportation to and from the cruise ship. Our cars satyed at the hotel and were monitored 24 hours a day. Transportation was on time and no hassle. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and accomadating. If i ever go on a cruise out of Long Beach I will definitly stay there. Clean and comfortable rooms.

We had a good experience.  (Moderate priced hotel) booked for convenience,  we didn't book this expecting luxury)
Our room was clean, updated and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Even the carpet was very clean! Husband liked the shower tile work!

We don't know  the area (didn't see anything to be concerned about) and we felt very safe-  the security gates and cameras added security.

The continental breakfast included make it yourself waffles, fruit, bread/bagels to toast, cereal, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs etc.

This hotel is on a busy street  (potentially not busy at night I suppose) and located near shopping and many fast food choices as well as cafes. Our room was on the back side and we did not hear any road noise. We had a good view into the lush courtyard/swimming pool area. We felt safe leaving our interior window partially open at night.

It smelled like the room was deodorized with a lavender essential oil; it smelled way too heavy when we first checked in, (I wondered what they were masking )but a little fresh air eliminated the problem!
We would stay there again!

I recommended this place to some relatives, who stayed here.  They thought it was a good locatiuon - close to restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies.  But they said the room and the hotel itself was very dated.  They said the bedding, the carpeting, the furnishings, need to be updated.  I don't think they were thrilled or will stay there next tiem they visit.

Hm, ok, here we go....

Large and spacious, fridge and microwave no extra charge. Couch and living room area (+) very cool looking. Downside creaky floors and kinda smelly.

Decent, off the 405 and close to late night fast food, down side the residential area behind the place all have bars on their windows.... BARS! (this insinuates that there is crime, see back to the future 2)

Under $100, can't complain it has free wireless internet that works great and it has a breakfast.... done and done.

If you need a place to crash because you've just been evicted, kicked out, or are drunk and find yourself here, enjoy a night (or 2 weeks) at the Comfort Inn Long Beach.

Great family spot. Very clean, staff exceptionally polite and helpful. Crib available. One of the prettier Comfort Inns on the inside. Only drawback is no elevator to get to 2nd floor but they'll help carry your bags for you.

Walked in without a reservation, engaged the desk clerk to ask for a room, phone rang, clerk says excuse me and answers it, describes a room to the caller, writes something down, hangs up, turns to me and says he just gave out the last room.

I protested that I was there first and would have gotten the room if he hadn't made me wait while he took a call from the phone customer who should have been in line after me.

Sorry, he said ... Nothing I can do about it.

May Comfort Inn become the bed bug king of the world forever and ever.

This review is written from the perspective of using this hotel as a "Park and Cruise" hotel for a 7 day cruise. When taking everything into consideration including price, location, room, breakfast, transportation and hospitality, this is definitely a 5 star. We paid about $175 for Saturday night and parking during the cruise.

Okay, so it's not the best part of town... is there a good part of Long Beach?!? I really don't know! If you get closer to the airport and signal hill, if there are any hotels over there, that seemed to be a nicer area. I would not go walking alone once it starts to get dark. Fortunately, there's quite a few places to eat within 2 blocks. Shout out to Los Compadres which I will review on their listing... and it's not within 2 blocks. We walked to El Pollo Loco for lunch Sunday before leaving for the cruise.

ALL the staff were more than accommodating. The rooms were pretty large as were the bathrooms. All room access is inside the keyed courtyard. Plenty of parking and they encourage you to park within sight of the front desk so they can keep any eye on your vehicle throughout the week.

The breakfast is in the middleground of included breakfasts... they do have hot stuff but I've had better... and I've had much worse. When we got back to the hotel he following Sunday morning, they offered us breakfast again.

They use Long Beach Yellow Taxi (LBYT) to get you to and from the cruise terminal. They will even ensure you get the appropriate type of taxi (Van, etc). There's no haggling or exchanging of money with the taxi. When we got back we didn't even have to walk over to where all the other transportation was... just outside the terminal was a little stand specifically for LBYT... hopped into a van and ten minutes later we were back at the hotel.

If you're ok staying at the Queen Mary, it's about the same cost. We have two young boys who would probably tear up the joint... so we thought it would be better to skip the QM.

Overall we were very pleased with our choice.

Overall the hotel was pretty clean, with small quirks (water wouldn't fully drain in the shower, TV would cut out..). But it had a nice pool and I felt safe at night.

However the reason why I'm giving it three stars is because I reserved our room online for 3 days at $106 per night (according to their website). When I get to the hotel to check in, they presumed to argue with me about the rate stating it was $116 instead. I know it doesn't seem like much of a difference but it was a clear bait and switch going on with this hotel.

If you plan on staying here, make sure you print out the price so you won't get jipped when you check-in.

GEM?!?!?! Someone said GEM! Maybe in a third world country this would be a gem, but not in this one. Sorry this place needs some work. Last minute visit to the LBC didn't allow us to book a room at a decent hotel well in advance so we had to stay here at the section 8 projects. Seriously I do think a section of this hotel is for section 8. The area is shady at the least. I was a little concerned and I grew up in areas like these and I speak spanish! Room looked run down and the cleaning ladies need to chill out on using so much FABULOSO cuz I was reeking of lavander all the next day! Our room was facing the main street there so you can imagine the noise of the traffic. I slept for a total of about 4 hours that night because around 2am I heard the ghetto bird flying what seemed like directly outside our room. Minutes after, there were like 6 cop cars, not joking, right outside the room in the street right in front. I thought they were filming cops or something cuz it was surreal. It wasn't a hollywood show but instead some crackhead tried to carjack someone at the light and ended up getting caught. You can imagine the PA system from the cop cars, the flashing red and blues, the sun spotlight from the helicopter and everyone yelling. Of course everyone was standing outside their rooms rubber necking, exposing themselves to stray rounds should it have gone wrong. I stayed in my lavender smelling sheets with my flat pillow over my head, angry I didn't make reservations earlier. That last bit wasn't the hotels fault so in grading the hotel alone, I give it 2 estrellas.

Surprise oasis of comfort in a economically depressed area.  Nice little gem of a hotel. Clean no musty smell nice landscaping. Our suite was roomy and fresh.

Clean, comfortable, nice rooms.  Felt fairly safe, however there was the almost constant sound of sirens and helicopters from when I got back to my room in the evening until midnight all 3 nights that I was here.

This place is trying to rip me off.   They charged $150 (EXTRA) for supposedly smoking in the room.   We did not smoke in the room and have filed a dispute with our bank.   DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF BY SHADY MANAGEMENT

I had about 40 people staying at this hotel prior to a cruise that the group was going on.  Many stayed several days prior to the cruise enjoying the area and tourist sights.  I must say that everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.  From the cleanliness of the rooms to friendliness of the staff  and management was expectational.  The breakfast was great and stayed well stocked.  Many of the group drove to Long Beach and used the park and cruise package that the hotel offered.  The taxi's were waiting for us at the time we requested and we were picked and taken back to the hotel without any wait.  I have used other park and stays at other properties and I have never experienced the ease as I did at Comfort Inn and Suites in Long Beach.  The staff never stopped making sure that our every need was taken care of and made us feel like family.  This was the 2nd year that my group used Comfort Inn and to our surprise they greeted us by name when as we arrived, wow!  I can't stay enough about the staff.  I believe this property must be a great place to work because it was all the same familiar faces as last year and they all act like they love their jobs.  We will return again next year and I would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

Sad, pathetic excuse of a hotel and customer service...the only loyal guy was Christian ( you are way above that place you could do so much more)

I needed a safe place to stay and over the phone sounded wonderful....not knowing the area I trusted the management and they were willing to work with me (so I thought)

Needed a long term stay since I was going to school for about 5 1/2 weeks and wanted someplace safe well lit and just feel comfortable...
Sorry to say it's right next to a bus stop where it's crowded...teenage kids just extremely close to the cars in the parking lot....homeless ppl just waltzing through the parking lot and into the hotel even (the management even admitted this)
I was so scared I didn't even want to get out of my car...
I kept communication with the hotel I was on my way etc and when I told them I was very sorry I don't feel comfortable or safe...they were like well we have ur cc info we're gonna charge it......
I called several times...showed my face and tried to work out the detail....
No call backs
No receipt for what they charged me
No email
I showed up three times and spoke only briefly to a mgr who I just didn't get or even believed anything she said how sorry she was...kinda the shrug off
No acknowledgment what so ever they just take the money and don't give a hoot....honestly I'm all about customer service...and with no acknowledgment that I'm upset and want an explanation and of course refund I don't get anything..

So to the management of this place you guys are frauds and take advantage of a woman trying to go to school and rip her off bc u feel its alot of work to enter information into a computer for a reservation (don't sprain a finger now) and she didn't feel safe and felt lied too...
you guys have only one guy you prolly don't even deserve or even pay enough for what he does but what he has....CUSTOMER SERVICE skills!!!! (To Christian you did what you could do)

I would not stay here or even recommend it just bc I was treated like scum and they had my cc info and charged it up...bc of their tiny policy (which I know for a fact they can do what they want with authorization)(got this info from the customer service # which they were even more helpful....but mgrs got better things to do and rip more ppl off)

Just is terrible terrible terrible awful very upsetting and hope this place goes under and no one stays here...

This place upset me so much...I'm still angry and its been two weeks (still supposedly w waiting for a call but that was said last week)

So again HORRIBLE Terrible SERVICE.....so cheers and enjoy if you wanna get ripped off, jumped or homeless ppl looking into ur cars or coming in and out of the hotel.....

NO ELEVATOR! I wish someone had told me this before I booked this place. We had tons of bags and had to hand carry our own luggage because there was only 1 person working at the front desk and no one else to help.

Otherwise, it was a perfectly nice and pleasant place.

This is a very friendly place in Long Beach with a clean lobby, breakfast area and conference room.

The staff is gracious and attentive as well as service oriented. I was attending a class there and arrived early. Greeted by smiling clerk Carrie (I think that was her name) I was invited to get some coffee and something to eat. I did take her up on the coffee offer but noted that their continental breakfast includes oatmeal and waffles. The waffles smelled like cookies baking and the breakfast area has it's own cheerful attendant as well. Everything was tidy and super clean and there is plenty of comfortable seating.

The conference room is well lit with large windows facing the pool. It's spacious and filtered water and cups are provided.  There are both a very clean women's and men's restroom In the conference room as well. When I went after the class to see if there was a mail drop close by, the new clerk kindly took my letters and let me know they would go out the following morning. Again, just as friendly as I could have ever wanted.

I didn't see the rooms nor do I know the price. It is a budget chain but if you are looking for clean, comfortable and with service from employees who seem happy to attend to your needs, I would recommend this hotel.

To advertise this motel as being located "near" the convention center is, in my opinion misleading.  In NO WAY will you be in the touristy side of town, which will be painfully apparent upon your arrival.  You still need to take the freeway to get to the convention center.

We arrived with our reservation in hand for a room with two queen beds; however the only room they had available was handicapped.  Which meant the showers had only a curtain and a drain on the floors.  With a family of four that mean it left quite a wet mess to mop up with our extra towels after each shower.

We discovered a stain on our comforter and wondered if they even bothered to change it out since the last customer.

pros:  refrigerator and microwave.  Makes it convenient to bring your own food and snacks to save money on your trip.

Breakfast is included in the price.  Generous amount of food available, and not all carbs either!   We were pleasantly surprised at how fresh the food was, including a make your own waffles that includes pouring fresh batter into the waffle iron.  Eggs, pastries, yogurt available as well.

cons:  the area surrounding is sketchy.  As we were exiting the motel we were treated to the scene of a homeless guy stopping to pee in the hedges in front of us.

Another con is you have to get up EARLY to get your complimentary breakfast, which begins at 6:30-9:30.  Otherwise you'll wait in a line.

The woman who checked us in, was professional and always wore a smile even when the customer in front of us was giving her a bunch of sh*t..

The young man who checked us out, was a different story.  Could barely be bothered to look up from his phone to acknowledge us.  Not a single thank you upon leaving.

Not great, but not terrible.  Overall, it was DEFINITELY not worth the price.  Only reason for the $140 was that it was Long Beach.  If I'd known in advance I'd have saved up and gone to a much nicer hotel near the Aquarium!

With hotel reviews it's hard to say much that hasn't been said in one way or another. So I will shoot from the hip and tell you my story...

I arrived at 9:30 am due to a scheduling mishap with a car dealership..
I have a broken leg , I was probably cranky and I know I practically looked homeless as I entered the hotel, and really I should be at home. I did have a reservation I made over the phone, the night before, The front desk clerk who happens to be the manager ( Myrtle ) was very gracious offered me beverages, while I waited and apologized over and over that she couldn't get me in to my room early. I was very happy she was trying to get me in to a room early and honestly the effort made me feel welcomed and appreciated. She offered to retrieve my bags for  my car and pull my car up to my room once she got me checked in hours early, I was blown away by her customer service and when I looked up and saw her name on the wall I felt humbled. Here was a person being kind and providing service worthy of a 5 star resort and I booked this hotel thinking long beach area was not great...and the people wouldn't be what I am used to.

I booked a jacuzzi suite.. Only $131 and you have a two person jacuzzi and 50" flat screen. Pretty awesome room, not great views, beds are great, service is great. The area is very decent compared to most parts of LA and 909. I really enjoyed my stay!
