okay...  this place is GHETTooOoOOoO.  they would not let us cancel so we decided to stay.  guess what? we stayed for 3hrs then checked out.  We had kids looking in at us through the back window. how ghetto is that? there is an elementry school right behind the days inn. you can buy some drugs by walking on the streets. hahahha.. this place is wack! dont let the "city center" fool you.

Okay my family decided to choose this place to stay for the night. It's not the best thing you can get. There's always a fear I had when in this place that someone could just barge in and do something. I don't want to be here alone. Feeling of safety is slim. lol I hear voices outside from people renting a room and thought they could have been street thugs. Place was noisy upstairs. I didnt want to complain. My mom was like she saw dog hair all over the bed and stuff. She got people to clean it up but omg they just cleaned the mess up but didnt replace the linens or comforters. The first night was awful I couldnt sleep because the sheets were so itchy on my bed. I switched to the other bed next to it. That one was worse. I was so pissed off at the service considering we paid so much for two days. If I went to a hotel instead it would have been better even if I had to pay more. My dad complained the next day and cussed the owner out. Service is lacking and they don't reply right away. They have a laundry room and free breakfast. Even that is not the best thing in the world. This motel not recommended for any stay. Like the first person who posted said they have bed bugs. Don't bother with this motel.

the absolute worst hotel experience of my life.  broken dresser drawer, no closet, three lamps, but only one worked, super small room, wheel chair shower had disgusting fold down seat that squirted out brown water when you sat on it.  really really awful place and i will never stay there again.  i've stayed in many other day's inns and had great rooms so i won't let this stop me being a customer at other cities.

I asked for a nonsmoking room and got a room that reeked of smoking.  There were signs up clearly stating it was a smoking room.  When I complained at the front desk they gave me a cock-and-bull story about how the room had now been converted to a nonsmoking room, of course there were no other rooms available.  Luckily I'm only here for one night.  The neighborhood is a little sketchy.  It was otherwise a standard days inn room but in hindsight I would pay extra and stay at better hotel.  Only consider this place if you are on a really really tight budget.

Where to begin? Staff is rude, location straight up ghetto, room filthy and non-smoking yet reeked of cigarettes, bathroom tub was broken, do I need to go on? DO NOT stay here, disgusting!

I checked in this place last month, we thought it would be great since we got the room with the Hot Tub, when we walked into our room it was EXTREMELY small. Our window had metal bars over it, our view was an abandon restaurant it was terrible!

I figured that the hot tub would make up for it, nope we had trouble plugging the stopper so the water wouldn't leak down the drain, we had to call a guy over here it was really embarrassing since I had to dry myself and put my clothes back on.

Sleeping was difficult, the bed was hard as a rock, the people upstairs were walking around every 5 minutes, you can hear their footsteps walking and walking around. They closed doors and opened back up this went on for about a couple of hours all the way through 4am in the morning. I think these people had issues or were on drugs because I doubt the people above us even slept or stood still for more than one hour at a time.

This is beyond the worst hotel in Long Beach avoid! You're better off staying at a better hotel for a lower price.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this place on here (Yelp) and on other sites and very few good reviews. I decided to give it a shot and see for myself, what staying here would be like.

This place was perfect for what I needed. I place to crash my drunk ass after a night of alcohol consumption on Pine Street!  It was only an 8 minute cab ride to Sgt Pepper's Piano Bar on Pine Street ... $11 cab fare for a party of 4!!

The Hotel Parking lot is REALLY small. There aren't enough parking spots for the amount of rooms this place has. I'm just glad we checked in early (6pm) because the parking lot was full by 9.

The room was a little on the small side, but it did come with a King Size Bed, decent size fridge (for lots of beer), a microwave, an ironing board/iron and coffee machine. The room was clean, although I do recommend taking your own towels. Their towels were small and rough.

Overall, this place wasn't bad. I mean, you do get what you pay for and it was only $51.00 (online only) for Friday, Sat and Sunday. I'm not sure what the price is for the weekdays. If you book over the phone, they'll charge you about $65, so it's a $14 savings to book online.

This place sucks, what a mistake. Dont stay here. I sit here freezing to death because the heater doesn't work. They were rude to my co-worker who wanted to park here even though I had no car and was not taking a parking space. The neighborhood is sketchy and even though I didnt' ask for a smoking room, that's what I got. The room smells like an ash tray. Some of the wall outlets are not working which makes the light fixtures not work. The internet is terribly slow. This place seemed to have better ratings on on another site, I should've checked Yelp first!

I really wish I could give this place 0 stars! Worst hotel experience I have ever had. As me and my boyfriend were waiting to move into our condo we had to stay in a hotel for a few days. As he was working I found this place and it seemed pretty decent for the price. WRONG.

First night- we stayed in a decent room upstairs which was fairly clean and had a nice king size bed. We wake up in the morning to the housekeeping woman just opening our door WITHOUT knocking. My boyfriend isn't exactly a morning person so he was pretty irritated. The continental breakfast was gross!!

We ended up checking out because we thought our condo would be ready to move in but they needed two more days. So we drove back to the days inn. We go to check in and the staff was extremely rude. The woman gave me attitude from the time I walked in. She gave us a room on the first floor since the first room we stayed in was booked. I walk into the room that said "non-smoking" and it smelled like cigarettes. I walked into the bathroom and it's a DIRTY handicap shower and the shower head is in the middle of the shower. When complaining to management they said it was the only room they had left. My boyfriend called pretending to want to book a reservation and they said they had two rooms left!! At this point I was beyond irritated I walked back to the front desk demanding a refund. The woman than tells me she has another room. WTF? We move into the room that was a little bit better.

Second night- loud noise from the staff because it was right next to the office. The next morning once again the housekeeping woman just opens our door without knocking. I call to book another room and the guy at the front desk is extremely rude once again. I had enough we checked out and will never go back. I'd rather sleep in my car before I stay at a place like this!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Coming from northen ca- My sister and I stayed the night for an event.... Upon driving down PCH we noticed immediately it wasn't in the "best of area"... Once we checked in, we noticed the "reception" is a tiny lobby with 2 patio tables and chairs for  seating at the "complementary" breakfast bar. (Seems like it would only have coffee, bagels and oj, fruit). The room had 2 double beds- and smelled as if it at one time was a smoking room. It appeared clean- from the naked eye. It's definitely run down- and need some updating. The shower curtain was too long- and had what appeared to be mildew spots. Pillows were definitely flat.
Bath towels were half a**ed folded, AND STAINED!!!

For the total price if $85--- it's Sub par. but you get what you pay for right?? I wouldn't chose it again.  Steer clear......

Upon my first stay at this hotel (about a week ago), it was ok. However, the free breakfast was largely unhealthy (whole milk, white bread, sugary cereal, etc.).

When I returned to stay again, there were only 2 rooms available. Both had mold in the shower and I would not stay.

The girl at the front is very nice and cool. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this place because of the mold potential and the bad breakfast. The wifi worked fine. I guess I'll give them a 2 instead of a 1.

I booked this room cause the price was decent for a Jacuzzi room to relax in. The surrounding area was pretty sketchy and let's just say I had to double lock my room. I had a downstairs room and the people upstairs sounded like they were literally jumping up and down all night. I went to complain at 4am but there was no one available. So I called the police to come out. There are no bars in walking distance. The Jacuzzi tub wasn't the cleanest and I was only given 2 towels to use. I will not be returning the this establishment any time soon.

Stayed here for a few days and was expecting much worse because of the reviews. The room was clean, and the fridge, tv, and microwave seemed new. The shower was nice; bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. Didn't speak much with the staff but they did not seem rude or unwilling to help. It had everything we needed for a short stay but don't expect a luxury suite when you're paying a small price. Only complaints are the breakfast was small and located next to the check in desk which made it awkward to get to in the morning. The neighborhood is so-so, seemed sort of dingy but I didn't feel unsafe. Overall I would say it's a comfortable place to rest and unwind just don't expect to be pampered.

This was probably the worst motel we ever stayed in. We felt it was more of a storage room than a rentable room. As the night and morning went on we notice more discrepancies.  Noisy street noise, undesirable area, fight last night next door at the tobacco store. We were terribly overcharged which I will take up with the corporate office. DON'T STAY HERE if it can be helped. Number one on my terrible motel room list.

My sister and I could not make it to the trip because she went to the emergency room the night before. I understand policy is a 24 hour cancelation but I guess the policy of the hotel or the attendant does not care to sympathize or understand. He said I could not get a full refund but can give me a 10% refund. Two nights later there's still no pending transaction of getting a refund! But they had no trouble taking out the full price.

Clean. No bugs. Reasonable rates for reasonable rooms. Friendly staff who helped us get a cab. Had I known the 2nd floor room came with exposed beams I would have brought the sex swing. Plenty of food places that will deliver. Nothing was wrong with our room. It wasn't glamorous but I didn't pay for glamorous.

This place was disgusting.  The service was rude from managers except for housekeeping and one day-time manager who helped us with our check out on 4-18-14.  The first morning we had to postpone our plans because our water was turned off and was running yellow for over two hours.  Not to mention the male yelling at some women  in a room connected to ours, keeping us awake during the early morning hours.  There were spiders in our bathroom and room along with marks on our sheets.  On our final night there, our room keys stopped working and we had to deal with a rude manger when trying to get a new one at 1am in the morning while it was fairly chilly outside. On final morning, we both woke up with rashes on our arms and she had some on her face. Pretty convinced that these were bed bugs.

Where do I begin... This place was horrific to say the least. Ignore alllll the pictures you see on their website because that room does not exist. The manager on duty was not in the office when I arrived. He  came strolling in after ten minutes of me waiting alone in a box sized lobby. He didn't apologize for my wait time or acknowledge me. I checked into the room, without knowing that I booked a smoking room. I literally walked in the room and wanted to run out. The smell, the decor, just everything was gross. There were CIG burns everywhere. It was so bad that I didn't want to bring my luggage in the room let alone sit on the bed. I checked in at 4pm and called the desk within 10mins to see could I get a different room. The clerk aka the manager on duty said the rooms were booked. Mind you, the parking lot was empty at almost 5pm. I contacted my booking agent who in return told me that I had until 6pm to cancel my reservation. I called down to the clerk who said he needed to speak to the booking agent to cancel. He then said he would only refund me 1/2 of my fee (the room was $100 with tax) of $50. Charging me half the price for less than 1 hours time was an economic crime, however I ran as fast as I could outta there. I went to Motel 6 in Carson near the mall, and paid the same amount for a fabulous room considering the hotel chain. When I reviewed my credit card statement I saw that I was billed twice from this dump! Once for the full nights stay of $100 and again for $50 which was supposed to be a partial refund. This guy did NOT want me to cancel or leave, I felt like he was trying to find any possible loop hole in the cancelation process to make me pay in full for that nasty ass room. I am in the process of getting ALL my money back through my bank. I left this looong review hoping to save someone the heartache. This incident almost ruined my trip. If you are looking for a one night stand spot, this is for you. This place needs to be condemned for health code violations or be an charged by the hour hotel. Definitely not worth the $100 they wanted, in fact it should be $40 or less.

Walls are thin. We stayed in a downstairs room and at 3 am the upstairs people decided to take a shower. Wow! Woke us up like a freight train. Room appeared clean at first but upon further viewing while laying in bed there appears to be dried semen on the wall.

Do I have to give it any stars?  It certainly doesn't even deserve one.  The pillows had no pillow cases and the pillows themselves were yellow and brown.  The sheets on the beds were visibly dirty.  The box springs covers had brown splotches of God only knows what.  The light switches were gummy, dirty, and grimy.  The lamp switch had some white sticky substance on the on-switch.  The walls had tobacco residue everywhere and the entire hotel wreaked of cigarettes smoke.  ("Non-smoking" my a$$!)  The toilet was broken and there were no other vacant rooms at the hotel and no one available to fix it until the next day!!!  And worst of all, it was Valentine's Day so there wasn't a vacant room anywhere in 40 mile radius.  How do I know?  We spent our Valentine's day driving up and down a 16 mile stretch along PCH, stopping at EVERY hotel and motel while also calling countless others.  Thanks for a terrible memory, Days Inn!

We had booked one room with two beds for $75.00 per night. The blanket smelled bad so we ended up just using the sheets. The breakfast that was included only consisted of apples, oranges, cereals, bread, and juices. Also, breakfast is prepared on the side counter of the check in desk, so don't plan on having a place to sit. Awkward!

The first night, we were kept awake to what sounded like a bunch of drunk ladies talking and laughing extremely loud! I called to the front desk to complain and the gentleman just replied, "I'll look into it for you." Yet, they didn't do anything about it because the noise just continued.

In the morning, it is also extremely noisy. I didn't know right behind us there is a school, so you can hear the kids playing and basket balls dribbling.

After coming back from the beach, we asked front desk for new towels and the gentleman replied, "Do you want to come down and get it, because we're doing something?" I was dumb founded! Then he said never mind, we will bring it to you in 10 minutes. We waited so long, we ended up just using the small towels to shower then went to dinner. The next day before heading to the beach, we stopped by the front desk and asked for three towels. The gal at the counter replied, "Do you have the dirty towels?" I told her it's in the room. She said, "Go to you room and get the dirty towels and someone will come up to switch the towels for you." WTH...

If you are a self respecting human, do yourself a favor and pay an extra couple bucks for a better stay. We felt dirty immediately upon walking into this room. This place does not care about its appearance. There are actual bloodstains on the lampshades and the sheets.

If you've ever watched cops, this is the place where the drug bust happens every time.

The worse ever !! I booked through booking.com ... When I arrived staff was nice !! so I went to the room it smelled horrible !!! I figured one night wouldn't hurt. Went to go to bed and was bitten by bed bugs in my sleep. I woke up from feeling them bite me!! Went to the front desk for a refund the staff said I had to wait for management in the morning but he can offer me another room (like really who would want to stay in another room after experiencing that) I left and slept in my car. Management did not want to give me a refund !! Stay far far away from this place !! I wish I never stayed there !! This place should be shutdown !

This place is  value for money!. Plus it's location is a big advantage! It is just across a bus stop which takes you to anywhere in the city of Long Beach and adjoining cities. The rooms are nice and clean, since they have been remodeled off lately! Also, i like the proximity it has to Cal State LB, Downtown Long beach, Long Beach convention center and Catalina express departure port.

Booked a room for Long Beach Comic Con, in Feb. We booked it purely because of the Jacuzzi in the room since we were going to be walking around for two days. We canceled our room that was CLOSER to the even just to have the tub. the tub didn't work, not the end of the world but we complained to the front desk, the man working the night shift left a note for the morning shift, we confirmed the the woman working the morning shift had the note and would pass it to the manager who was "out of town", we would be refunded a partial amount. Three weeks went by and nothing. I called, they claimed they had no note of any kind and didn't know anything about it and the manager was "out of town". I emailed the manager, another three weeks later nothing. So I've emailed corporate. :/

First off let me say that I always stay in cheap motels whenever I can.  I'm a single dude with no desire to pay for the "luxuries".  I just need a place to crash when I'm out of town.  Therefore, I'm not expecting anything other than a clean room with a TV and air conditioning and heating.  It seems a lot of reviewers mark this place down for not being the Hyatt Regency.  If that's what you want, go pay for it!

This place gets 1 star for one simple fact: they didn't give me what I was promised.

I see lots of reviews from people saying they reserved a non-smoking room and got a smoking room.  What happened to me is the opposite.  I'm a smoker, and I will not stay at a hotel unless I can get a smoking room.  I booked a smoking room.

I checked in (front desk staff was nice enough), and upon getting into my room, I see a "please do not smoke- fee charged for smoking" sign.  I went back to the front desk with my reservation confirmation paperwork in hand and showed the attendant that my reservation was for "1 king smoking".  He said the only smoking room they had was with a double bed (haven't slept on one of those since I was a kid).  So basically I paid for a king bed smoking and was told that that is not what I would be getting.  Either I take the double bed, or the king bed non-smoking.  I settled for the non-smoking room since I could just step outside the door and smoke.  The kicker was that there were signs everywhere saying you had to smoke in a "designated smoking area", which I guess is the little bench up front with the ashtray next to it.

The room was fairly clean (except for a few ants), TV with directv and tons of channels, AC that blows hella cold, a coffee maker, AND a microwave and fridge.

Basically this would have been a 4-5 star review but the old bait and switch makes it a 1.  Get your shit together and stop selling what you don't have.

Yea I should have booked at reviews better before blindly booking a reservation on hotels.com for this place.  While they did a fairly nice job of remodeling the rooks it's still old air conditioning.  But let's talk about what takes place outside of the room that makes this place not worthy.  I could hear my next door neighbors waking at 530, their shower was quite loud.  Oh and there is a car wash next door so if you planned on any time in room before 8pm expect the loud noise coming from there.
Then there is fact they have this ridiculously old policy of photocopying your ID.  Which he did with my military ID before I realized it because I was handwriting a guest information card.  Hello... that's illegal! And your photocopy machine has a memory so taking the copy doesn't remove you having my information!  Days Inn Corporate will be getting a nice note about that one!  No one should have their ID, of any type, photocopied with out at least being notified of such verbally ahead of time!

So we went to the Long Beach Freestyle concert and needed a place to stay.  My review is solely based on my experience and my preferences.

First off, the customer service is awesome.  The desk attendant was great.  The staff as we walked around smiled and was courteous.

The room, was small, but then again your only sleeping there and it was neat and at first look clean.

My recommendations:
1.  Have someone clean the shower, the shower floor was filthy grey.
2.  Portions of the walls had some hard to see stains and appeared unwashed.
3.  Maybe put brighter lights bulbs and make it so when you first walk in all lights brightly turn on.
