I took my husband here for his birthday.  They did a really nice job.  They thought of everything....  The yachts were clean and comfortable and we had a great view of Shoreline Village and the light house.  We were within walking distance to everything.  They delivered a continental breakfast in a basket which was charming.  This was a nice change and a romantic surprise.

This was seriously one of the best experiences I've had since moving to LA.

We stayed on The Ranita for a night and could not have asked for a better yacht! This particular yacht has a rooftop sun deck, space to lay out on the front of the boat too if you prefer, a covered sitting area with room enough for 4 people and the inside is all hard wood floors with a master bedroom and a guest bedroom ... including a really spacious living room and eat-in kitchen area.

We got lucky and the day we went was sunny so we headed straight to the sun deck for a nap :) Later in the day we ate a local restaurant and then headed back to the yacht to enjoy more drinks and catch the sunset, which was amazing.

After a few hours, we then headed to the village along the water and got some dinner... again making our way back to the yacht for more drinks!

This was seriously the most relaxing time, just hanging out on the yacht and we only ventured out when we wanted to get some food. Next time, we'll bring more snacks so we can maximize our time on the yacht even more.

If you're going for a romantic weekend getaway then I'd recommend the Ranita. But if you want to go with another couple, the Perfect Landing is the boat to get... we were allowed to see the boat before we left in the morning and it's seriously awesome and the perfect yacht for 4 people.

As for the staff, they were absolutely awesome, friendly and totally accommodating!

I'm already planning another weekend here for the summer :)

Find a way to afford this and go for a night.

I enjoyed every minute on our own private yacht. My advice, pick the yacht with the tallest and most open platform. The atmosphere is wonderful and I made every effort possible to sit back and take in the experience. I went with my friends and we enjoyed the restaurants just a few steps away.

The staff was very kind and accommodating.

I bought a groupon and made reservations for my parents to stay when they come out for my fiance's graduation May 22, 2012 from long beach state. KENT the guy on the phone was rude. He said people were trying to "manipulate" the groupon and treated me very rudely. I explained that I am an attorney in long beach and that he should not make assumptions. He apologized but now I don't have a good experience with this company. I am hoping my parents stay is good ... However, for now I will tell all my colleagues, co-workers about how bad their customer service was. I live long beach and make it a point to support local business but when someone in the hospitality industry is this rude I also believe they should be accountable. The guy also told me they will never use groupon again... Like I should care or be bothered with their internal business decisions!

Loves me some old school! so when I had a chance to put some family up for the night on a 1950's Stephens yacht I jumped on it. The "Crown Jewel" was beautiful. All wood. Amazing view. Watched the sun set behind the Queen Mary while lounging off the back of the boat. Slept six comfortably. Many restaurant choices and the aquarium all within walking distance.
This is Dockside's oldest vessel and could definitely use a little maintenance/restoration work, but she's got ambience to spare. Very relaxing being on the water. Other then dinner we didn't feel the need to go anywhere.

So I was looking for someplace special to spend my wedding night and stumbled upon this place. After looking at several pictures and getting advice from several people I booked the Crown Jewel, and I'm glad I did.  Great view of the harbor, beautiful weather, sounds of the ocean, and an amazing ship with all the comfort of home...very romantic.  The staff/owners are great, very accommodating and helpful. The only negative in my opinion is that the boats are pretty close together on the dock but I still highly recommend you check this place out.

Just returned home from an amazing night on the Sea Peepers! Yelpers, this is an awesome experience. We arrived at 3pm to enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the water, gazing out at the light house, the Queen Mary and all the fun stuff on the Pike Place docks.  Some friends joined us in the evening for dinner and drinks on the yacht (and, yes, they were totally jealous). Enjoyed a perfect night's sleep lulled by the ocean and were treated to a sweet little breakfast by DB&B.  Overall, we couldn't have had a better time!

This is a great place for a unique "stay"-cation! Check it out and go!

I heart this so much! Been waiting a year for a good reason to do this staycation. Our anniversary came around just in time for a bloomspot coupon! Coupon was only good for sea peeper but that boat pretty much fulfilled everything I think a yacht should be! Kitchen, living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms! A nook, outside deck with cute patio furniture :) totally agree with other reviewer u have to think of it like camping a bit bc some things r cramped like the bathrooms. But it doesnt mean the boats r bad. We made friends with our boat neighbors and they showed us their boat. U can ask the owner to see the other boats if no ones on it. Rsvp with coupon was super smooth online. Owners helpful with check in and services...we so want a yacht now. Its my new dream in life.

All 3 stars for the Boat, Location & the Breakfast....
    The customer service is horrible...
We stayed at Fantasia... The boat is kept in good condition and was well equipped with all you need for the stay...
There is a bbq grill outside.. which was not workingwhen we called them to figure out what is wrong... He was not at all helpful.. rather trying to find excuses to hang up.. was checking the time and said it is already past 9pm blah blah...

Even at checkout the guy ( I guess his name is kent) was not all pleasant... This is not what you expect from a family run business....

Love Dockside Boat and Bed!  My boyfriend and I stayed two nights on the Obla de Obla da using a LivingSocial voucher. What a deal! The yacht was beautiful, clean, and felt oh-so luxurious. It was the perfect size for the two of us.

A breakfast basket filled with muffins, bagels, and fruit was left in our kitchen every evening. Also, the fridge was stocked with OJ and yogurt every evening for breakfast the next morning.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a hard time finding the place because the Long Beach Grand Prix was coming up the next weekend and the barricades made navigating a little difficult. We called for directions and someone was there in the office to help us find the dock. Yes the yachts are located right next the boardwalk but we still felt safe. We locked up the boat when we left to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific (which is walking distance).

All in all, a very great stay. We look forward to staying here again.

Get your romance on!  What a great lil getaway and it's so fun to play pretend!

Located in the harbor right behind Gladstones at The Pike in Long Beach.  Play pretend and never leave the boat... make believe you're docked in some foreign country for the night before you and love set sail again.  Or, if that makes you stir crazy... get off the boat to go to one of the many restaurants or bars within walking distance.

This was a great experience despite the pouring rain and the fact we were sick at the time.  The host leaves you a plethora of goodies for breakfast... orange juice, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit, etc.  There is no working stove or oven on the boats, so if you plan on having a romantical dinner for two on the deck... order take out and use the microwave to heat it up.  Wine glasses are available as well as a wine opener in the boat's kitchen.

There's a DVD player on the boat, so if you want to bring a movie to watch to make a romantic movie night in... you can do that!

Boats stay docked... there is no one that board the boat with you and sails you around.... it's completely private.

This is a must go for any couple seeking a romantic weekend getaway. It's an atypical, unique alternative to traditional stay at a hotel. I learned about the company through Livingsocial and was able to purchase a night for only $150 (50% off the regular price!). From start to finish, my experience here was A+ quality.

Honestly, there couldn't have been a better spot. Walking distance to a whole flurry of Long Beach delicious eats and sites. There were happy hours galore, lights shining, couples strolling, kids rollerblading. All of this commotion provided for an incredibly safe environment at all hours of the night, but miraculously, it was at the same time very quiet. I actually came here during the parade of the yachts, which literally happened a hundred feet from the yacht I was in. I was able to peep out of the skyroof and admire all the Christmas lights these yachts were decorated with without ever leaving the comfort of my bed. Doesn't get any better than that.

Zero items to complain about. Check in was at 3pm. Super smooth process. In the case of a line, the dock itself had plenty of chairs and tables you could relax at. I had previously entered my Livingsocial deal number when I made the original reservation, so upon check in all I had to pay was an $18 hotel fee and we were good to go. At 9am the next morning, an adorable basket of fruit, yogurt, pastries, and orange juice was delivered to us right outside our door.

My boyfriend and I booked the Obla De Obla Da. It was a 44' Sea Ray Sundancer. If you are a couple coming here, GET THIS BOAT. It was without a doubt the newest, sexiest boat of the fleet. The only reason you would want to go with another boat is if you have more people staying the night. I do believe some of the other boats have up to three bedrooms, but from the outside it definitely looked a lot older/worn down.

The Obla De Obla Da felt brand spanking new. It had an outside seating area that can easily hold 6-8 people if you want to host a little party. The front of the boat had a two person "couch" with a gorgeous view of the water, lighthouse, yachts, among other sites. The interior had a kitchen area, two toilets/sinks (for when couples need to poop at the same time), one shower, a small den, and one roughly queen sized bed. There were three TVs (equipped with a DVD player and DIRECTV). The kitchen was fully stocked with wine/champagne glasses, cups, coffee maker, utensils, snacks, and water (all complimentary). There was also a microwave and mini fridge. As mentioned earlier, there was a mini skyroof right above the bed, which can fit two people poking out comfortably.

If you ever stumble upon the Livingsocial-esque deal again, DO NOT HESITATE to buy it. Its original price is a little steep, but the deal is absolutely unbeatable.

Also, as a side tip, make sure to reserve at least a few months in advance to get the exact boat that you want.

This review is for Crown Jewel only!

While Crown Jewel has the best view of the dock, the boat is the oldest of them all.  I was glad that I had packed flip-flops for both my husband and I.  The condition of the boat did not feel hygienic to us.

It is understandable that taking a shower would be difficult, however, it did not feel clean being in the shower.

The stay was romantic and fun.  With the best view of the lighthouse, the back deck of the boat was the really only thing that we enjoyed.

If I were to return to stay, Crown Jewel probably would not be my choice!

If you're looking to sleep on an ultra luxe yacht with every accommodation imaginable, look no further.

Having co-hosted a small get together on the "Perfect Landing" and my boss having stayed on the "Ob La Dee," I can attest this nautical bed and breakfast is an experience you cannot pass on.

Kent and Kim (the owners) as well as Molly were incredibly helpful in coordinating our arrangements. Anything we needed, they were happy to provide for us.

Dock 5 (where they are located) is a prime location in the midst of countless restaurants, the Hyatt Regency, Convention Center, aquarium and shops. The location is also quite secure.

Wonderful price for the quality you receive!

I had the wonderful opportunity of staying on the "Ranita" yacht recently and couldn't be more thrilled to go back again in the near future!! It was so gorgeous, the yacht included all the amenities you could ask for,  even a basket of fruit, yogurt, bagels, and pastries in the morning and there is popcorn and other small snacks in the kitchen when you arrive. The fridge and kitchen were decent size and even a nice nook to sit in. I loved everything about this stay on the" Ranita" we enjoyed ourselves and made friends with others on the yacht across from us. We were able to soak up the sun with a drink on the top deck of the yacht and watch the sunset with the Queen Mary in sight and light house in front of us. I couldn't have asked for a better stay we will definitely be back to stay, this was such a realxing and fun weekend!!

We stayed here twice; Once on the Ranita and another time on Kindred Spirit. This is a great idea! It is so relaxing and comfortable. Obviously, it isn't as spacious as a hotel so the bathrooms are small but it is a great experience and I would do it again. Each yacht has a special quality. The Ranita could use some updating; especially the shower. It would only cost $40 for a new shower head so I am not sure why the owner of the yacht hasn't done that. I love the breakfast basket and sitting on the deck eating. We had the chance to watch dolphins while we ate! I would like to try all of the yachts =) and I would definitely recommend it!

The bf and I stayed here two nights so that we could avoid having to deal with crowds and parking for the 4th of July fireworks. Best idea ive ever had!

We stayed on their newest yacht, Oble De, for 2 nights and it was great. It is close to the movies and a lot of restaurants so we had plenty to entertain us, but we did a lot of just relaxing and hanging out on the boat. TVs have direct TV, the radio played throughout the boat, the bed was comfy ;), and having a dring while lounging on the front of the boat was awesome. They drop off a little basketvw/ muffins and fruit and instant oatmeal at night. Sweet!

The view for the show was great! Highly recommended! Every friend I have told is totally jealous.

Took advantage of one of their deals and stayed on the Obla de Obla da for half off :)

I was on the Crown Jewel during my first visit. The Obla de Obla da is the most modern and newest yacht that they have. Everything was clean and modern. The yacht even had Direct TV while the other yachts did not. This yacht wasn't as spacious as the Crown Jewel (about half as big as the Crown Jewel) but was definitely big enough for two while having a more spacious shower area.

The only negative about the Obla de Obla da was that 2 of the 3 TV's were very fuzzy and barely watchable but that's nitpicking since I didn't watch much during my stay.

Stayed here right after the 4th of July!  Made a huge mistake of only renting the "Kindred Spirit" for one day!!  wish I had planned my whole vacation here!  It was amazing. The boat/ship/yacht was beautiful. Spotless clean, fine wood details, sitting area with tables and chairs.

What a view!  sitting on the deck watching the boats come and go, fantastic view in Rainbow Harbor, Sailing ships, Queen Mary, etc.

Many great choices for Restaurant's and activities in the area.

Continental breakfast was included and the price advertised was the price we paid. Every other place we stayed on our vacation had crazy tax's to add on our a facility charge or something!

    Will be back for sure!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary.   The boat stays on the dock but it is such a unique experience.  The location and views are AMAZING!! Everything cool about rainbow harbor is a few steps away.  You can even take a free shuttle bus (also a few steps away) to pine street. We stayed on the pasta too. It's on of the older yachts but the top deck was the gem. The views can't be beat.  You have a backyard view of the lighthouse, restaurants and the queen Mary without the other yachts obstructing the view.  Breathtaking at night.  The service was also exceptional. May I also add that we live in long beach so this area is nothing new to us.  But staying dockside on a yacht felt like we were someplace new.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I've stayed with Dockside B&B twice.

2 days on the Crown Jewel (March 2013) - 4.25 stars
2 days on the Perfect Landing (August 2013) - 5 stars

    Common elements to both stays:
    - Easy booking online with confirmation and a personal call the day prior to my stay
    - Seamless check-in with friendly customer service and a quick mini-tour of the boat and its features
(Follow the directions/instructions on their website and you're golden on check-in.)
    - Comfortable beds, clean sheets/towels
    - Lovely and generous continental breakfast basket (typically muffin, bagel, yogurt, bananas, apple and OJ) NOTE: I'm not big on the carb-heavy breakfast, so I usually pack my own food and just enjoy the OJ and fruit :)
    - a couple bottles of water and some individual creamers are usually in the fridge
    - there is usually ice enough for a few; you may want to bring some if you're having some guests over
    - Easy to use, well-maintained gas grill on the dock

The differences in our two stays:

-The Crown Jewel (as of August 2013, currently in Mexico for renovations, due back in early fall?)
DO stay on this boat if you love older things.  If you have an appreciation for yesteryear, enjoy visiting historic homes, are a member of a Conservancy, etc.  This boat is a real stunner and has a lot of original elements.  It's also quite large, and has a superior deck for entertaining.
DO NOT stay if you want ultra-modern brand-spanking newness and no signs of wear.  There are other newer boats in the fleet at Dockside B&B.
We fall into the former category and LOVED the Crown Jewel, but would agree slightly with the reviewer who said the boat felt a little less than perfectly hygenic.  While not dirty, it did feel like the boat could use a good top-to-bottom cleaning, and the master bath had an unpleasant odor that spilled into the master bedroom.  I don't know if it was the marine toilet or some unseen mildew or what, but it was a noticeable taint on an otherwise majestic old yacht.  Hopefully this will be resolved during the restoration.

Our only other minor issue is that the Crown Jewel wasn't very well stocked on dishware/glassware.  We had 4 people over for dinner and didn't have flatware sufficient for 6.  Glasses were a bit scarce, too, and no more than two matched.  The operators apologized the next day and said they could have provided more (unfortunately the office was closed when we realized we were short.)  The Perfect Landing was sufficiently stocked with complete flatware for at least 6, 4 wine glasses, 4 juice glasses, 4+ cups/mugs, complete dishware for 4, and some extra small plates/bowls such that you could probably make do to serve up to 6.

So my advice -- when you check in, survey the kitchen and make sure you have sufficient supplies (paper towels, etc.) and sufficient dishware and utensils for your needs.  If not, make a trip to the office before it closes and I bet they'll be able to help out.

My husband and I stayed on the Pasta Too this past weekend. It was amazing. So much fun and different than the regular hotel room. We valet parked in the front lot and just left the car as there were so many restaurants within walking distance. We brought some appetizers and champagne the boat is stocked with glasses and dishes and they even leave some snacks for munchies.  Breakfast was included, they brought a basket of fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt and orange juice, which was perfect. What an awesome way to spend our anniversary.

Soo happy with our stay!!! We bought the living social coupon which was an amazing deal (hopefully they keep it for awhile lol). Stood on our cute yacht called the Pasta Too, a two bedroom with an amazing outdoor seating area and top seating/tanning area as well. Checking in we were nicely greeted and given a tour from the nice lady employee :) The yacht was very nice and clean from inside and out. Not outdated at all. There is a small flatscreen tv with a DVD included along with a small collection of DVDs. The dock is really close to all of the restaurants and bars. FYI, you can take the red bus which is free to Pine Street if you are staying over the weekend. Our experience was so great and relaxing we are planning on having my birthday party there next year. Overall, our experience with the staff was pleasant, our stay was amazing, we will be back and tell our friends! Thank you Dockside for a memorable experience.

Ive stayed at this place in 2012 and in May 2014. still the best yacht service ive seen! Theyre service never wears off! So polite with request and accomodating people! Its in the PERFECT location.

First time i stayed we stayed on the Sea Pepper from a groupon voucher. They fullfilled everything, never had any issues.

Second Time was even better, being on there email list they send specials and coupons! We got to stay on the Indecent Proposal this time (took place of the crown jewel) It was AMAZING. I cant explain it! Breakfast comes before they leave that night.

Home owened so the service is great. I brag about this place all the time.

I suggest Yard House or the Lousiana Creole food resturant for dinner. As well as the cantina for a late night happy hour.

I cant wait to schedule another stay here! My bf and I look foward to this trip everytime!

It makes me so sad to leave, but alas Sea Peppers we will see you next time. One of the most amazing experiences of my life I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday as a surprise and she was very surprised to say the least. The yacht was perfect and very clean they have all the necessities and more they bring you a little basket of continental breakfast in the morning right at your door which I have to say was the cherry at the end of my visit. Very helpful staff and welcoming I felt comfortable during my stay and also the bedding was perfect warm blanket ah I couldn't ask for more I will definitely keep coming back.

My thanks to Kimberly for responding, but that does not solve the problem.  Her response should have been:  "If you will contact me, I will do my best to accommodate you at a future date when/where we have an opening".  Again, there is no responsibility taken by the merchant.  Living Social still has not responded back to me except asking me for a rating on them-which was not good.  Who knows?, maybe somebody "up there" will realize the importance of customer satisfaction and actually do something. Until then, both Dockside Boat & Bed and Living Social get a "BAD REVIEW"

Come by the DOCKSIDE and see the BOAT & BED

What more can you ask for?  There is water, a beautiful view, we have AWESOME weather most of the year and you get to stay on a FRICKIN boat all night!

I can't remember how I found this place but I'm sure I was doing some sort of search and it fell in my lap!  I am actually really surprised that more people do not know about them!  They started this business up north in San Fran I believe and WHAT an INGENIOUS IDEA!

All the boats are owned by people and basically are NOT getting used so this company (family owned) rents them out to pay for slips, maintenance, and upkeep!  WHAT an awesome deal for the owners!  Why NOT make some money off of something you just couldn't live without and NOW NEVER EVVVAA use.  At least NOT enough to count for having it!

The price is not any more than staying at a nice hotel for a night!  BUT you get WWAAYYYY MORE space and PRIVACY!  NO humming coke machines, no loud ice cubes falling all night, no overly loud and drunk guest going up and down the halls all FRICKIN NIGHT, no having to listen to your neighbors farting in the next room because the walls are super thin, and no elevator dinging all FRICKIN NIGHT long!  JUST PEACE and QUIET and the sound of water lapping against the boat!

I have had a few get together with friends which are allowed but NO PARTIES and your guest must vacate by 9pm!  Once I had an all ladies Christmas gathering which was SUPER DUPER NICE!  I catered and we exchanged gifts.  I was SUPER LUCKY because it just so happen to be the same night as the boat parade!  So we got to see all the boats lit up, decorated and floating by!  We felt like we were actually on a friend's boat!  It REALLY TURNED OUT WONDERFUL!  Plenty of seating and space depending on what boat you get!

I have also celebrated a birthday for someone and then a just because I wanted to do something different for myself!  Each time was AWESOME and there were NEVER ANY ISSUES!  The STAFF has ALWAYS BEEN SUPER ACCOMMODATING and PROFESSIONAL!  You can book on line with NO PROBLEMS which works out well and they offer a parking deal once you go in to sign on the dotted line!  Basically promising to NOT DESTROY the property and return it as you found it!  Something MOST RESPONSIBLE ADULTS CAN ACHIEVE!  If you DON'T fall into that category LOOK ELSE WHERE this is not the place for you!  IN fact STAY YO AZZ AT HOME no one wants some DESTRUCTIVE TROLL on their property!  H*LL I wouldn't want you at my house!

There are about 6 different boats to choose from and each is priced differently and according to style and size!  Certain seasons book up quick but they ALWAYS HAVE DEALS or LAST MINUTE SPECIALS WHICH ARE TOTALLY WORTH IT!  I've seen deals via Groupon/Living Social but they don't come up often so if you see one GET IT QUICK!  Once you book with them and they have your email address they will periodically send out specials deals via email.  PRETTY AWESOME and usually just in the nick-of-time when I'm thinking about doing a stay-cation!

IN the morning you are greeted with a YUMMY and FILLING BREAKFAST of OJ, muffins, yogurt and fruit!  All the different boats I have stayed on have a coffee maker so you can make that as well!  All the boats also come with a little snack basket!  IT is NOT a meal but a nice to have the day you check in!

How GREAT to sit out on the deck of your sort-of OWN boat in the morning and watch people as you eat your breakfast!  People think you actually OWN the BOAT!  IT'S GREAT!

There are plenty of places to eat for dinner or lunch the day or night before  so once you check in there is NO NEED for a car!  The PIKE has TOTALLY transformed to a WONDERFUL place to roam around!  AND if you book in the summer you can take the water taxi to Belmont Shore Pier and to walk around or have dinner there or there is always the little city buses that go down to 2nd street as well!

There are plenty of options to be had with the overnight stay and WELL WORTH your hard earned moola!

My second time at the boat and bed. Everything was perfect.  This time I had the chance to bring my family. It was an amazing experience for my parents, they loved it so much...we might purchase another one soon! So far I've stayed on the sea peepers & ranita.

Everyone was so kind and the small amount for the upgrade to the club floor was definitely worth it.

I was seriously concerned when reading several accounts of bed bugs associated with this hotel. The first thing I did getting into the room was to inspect our bedding to make sure there were no tiny moving specs anywhere. There were none of course. We got a room at the hotel through Price line. It was clean, decent-sized, and a great value for its price.

The Boat to Nowhere...but I mean that in the nicest possible way.

It's a floating hotel room that never goes anywhere. With most hotels, you should not spend much time in the room other than at night. Here, you should spend as much time as possible on board.

Our boat, Sea Peepers (don't blame me for the name), was awesome. 2 sleeping areas, 2 bathrooms, a nice sized deck and a very nice sized living room.

If you are the least bit high maintenance, save yourself some money and stay home. If you are into a unique, relaxing experience and can roll with the punches (tiny bathrooms, etc.), you may have an amazing time.

Some notes: the fridge is very good sized. Also, it can get pretty noisy at night (the noise from the nearby restaurants and live entertainment carries loudly across the harbor). The Aquarium of the Pacific, 2 carousels, a Ferris wheel, amd tons of restaurants and touristy shops are all within a 5-10 minute walk from your boat.

A truly unique and memorable experience.  We will be back.

WOW!  We stayed here on 5/2 for my boyfriend's birthday on the Indecent Proposal.  We'd never stayed on a yacht before, but I can guarantee it won't be the last time!  The staff was awesome and the location can't be beat.  We had a few friends by to celebrate with us (not a party boat area by any means, but we're a quiet group) and they all fell in love with the idea as well.  In fact, we decided that EVERY birthday should be celebrated on a boat.  We woke up to a basket of fresh OJ, bagels and fruit and the serenity of the location in the evening and the next morning was unparalleled.  I can't wait to return.  Thank you, Dockside Boat and Bed, for making my boyfriend's birthday so magical!

I rarely stay at hotels more than once, so us staying in this wonderful "hotel" for the third time should be a strong indication of how in love we are with the area, the boats, and the overall experience!
Dockside's six yachts are nestled in the heart of Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, and are just four minutes walking from Shoreline Village, across the bay from the famous Queen Mary, and across from the Long Beach Pike. Talk about "location, location, location." Prices to stay in these docked luxury yachts are higher than typical hotel rooms, which is to be expected. They start at approximately $200+ night for the smaller yachts, and increase depending on the boat's amenities and rooms. Indecent Proposal, which we stayed on, starts at $275 night and changes depending on season and the day of the week. I can't stress how important it is to join their mailing list; they send out some unbelievable deals that can take quite the chunk off your fees.
All boats come with one or two rooms and bathrooms, a refrigerator/freezer, televisions, cooking utensils, radios, and more. If you bring your own food, there's absolutely no reason to leave the yacht. But there's no need to bring breakfast: a small continental breakfast (OJ, muffin, yogurt, bananas, and a bagel) is included in the price and delivered for you to enjoy in the morning!
We have been fans of Dockside for several years now and have never had anything less than a stellar experience.  We're always given a reminder call the night before check-in and asked if there are any ways they can make our stay more comfortable. We stayed in Ranita and Sea Peepers before, and since we make it a point to stay in different boats each time, we chose Indecent Proposal.
The moment we stepped on the dock, Molly was ready to help us settle in and gave us a thorough tour of the yacht, letting us know where everything from the toilet paper to the light switches were located.
I suggest paying the $10 to park about ten minutes away if you are able to walk. It's a fun walk past some beautiful boats and gives you a bit of exercise, too! If you plan to leave your boat multiple times or have difficulty walk, then pay $24/night for P.F. Chang's valet.
Indecent Proposal was stunning inside. It had a massive eating/entertaining area with a modern television and radio, a fully-stocked kitchen with a coffee pot, microwave, and good-sized refrigerator, a small bedroom with bunk beds that could easily fit three adults, a small bathroom, a master bedroom with a massive bed and older television, and a bathroom/shower combination. Remember, you're on a boat, so don't expect a working stove or large bathrooms.
I didn't want to spend too much time away from the yacht; after all, the whole point of a vacation is to relax. Think of it as a "staycation", but in someone else's home.
It's become a tradition of ours to sit out on the boat after dinner and late at night. We bundle up in scarves, beanies, blankets, and boots-we are from California, after all-and sprawl out. The Queen Mary's smokestacks are decorated in lights that resemble diamonds and  "Christmas trees" floated in the water, setting the perfect holiday mood. We started out on the bow of the boat, from where we are fairly certain we saw two dolphins. After it got too cold, we headed to the enclosed patio of the boat.  We fell asleep with full stomachs and even fuller hearts.
After waking up, we decided to sit out for our meal. The ONLY thing I'd change about our boat would be for the "entertaining area" and back patio to be facing the water instead of the dock.
Checkout was at a reasonable 11a.m., which meant we wouldn't have to rush too much getting out. Overall, it's the perfect stay, and worth the price! From the wonderful staff, to the fully-equipped beautiful boats, to the breathtaking location, Dockside truly has it all, and more!

We stayed on the Ranita. I think this experience would have been more exciting for us if we weren't so local. The quality of Ranita is so-so. I wasn't expecting a luxury boat but I guess I expected it to be less dated and cleaner. However, this was mentioned that it needed some upgrades during our mini tour of the boat. The kitchen is what I liked the least when looking through the cupboards to see what I could use. It was also mentioned that the upper deck was in dire need of upgrades and that we would probably enjoy the main deck more anyways (I don't even know if that's the correct terminology). I still checked out the upper area...there was leftover candy so I guess it's heavily assumed that guests will not be using that part of the boat. (But just in case, I threw it away for ya!)

We did like sitting on the main deck (where the patio furniture is located) and enjoying the view.

Staff was nice. She was thorough and friendly. I had no issues with her.

The other guests were calm and quiet. No complaints there.

As I mentioned, I am a local resident- it wasn't anything exciting for me. I wouldn't come back again.

This is a wonderful place to spend the night on a yacht if you've ever wanted to. Easy access from car to boat. Very nice management company. Great marina quiet and calm in the winter.

Love this so much! Very peaceful and relaxing. There is a nice variety of boats to choose from. They bring fresh OJ and fruit basket for the morning. The staff is very nice. If you have visitors that are going to book a hotel check this out also it might be a nice change. All kinds of species of birds. Romantic in the evening.
