I can't even justify giving this place half a star. It's horrible!

To start off, the room smelled like cat pee mixed with something else disgusting.

The room felt damp and had mold growing in the bathroom.

There was absolutely no water pressure. The water just trickled out of the faucet.

Housekeeping made the bed, but didn't replace soaps or shampoo.

There was no parking in the evening which was a big issue.

When we walked around outside, we were afraid for our lives. It's not a good neighborhood.

This place was not the cheapest option. I figured since it was a chain, it couldn't be that bad.

I don't have high standards and often choose the more frugal option in places to stay. Trust me, it's not worth staying here.

If you must stay in long beach, pick a hotel closer to downtown and spend a few more bucks if necessary. I will next time for sure.

I stayed here for the night and within 45min I started to get itchy I removed the covers and bedbugs!! Every where eggs & adults! Disgusting room 103 I called to let management know and he said "oh ok what do you want me to do about it" I'm like wtf? Are you serious!! They moved me to a bigger room but there was bed bugs there too I showered 3xs this night and I had no sleep I had bite marks all over and management did not want to compensate for it so I went to a hospital got my marks documented took photos and sued the hotel I got 10k :) do not stay here!!! Hotel is in a bad area!! Not worth $64 to stay there and their so called breakfast consisted of bananas, oranges & old brownies with tab water coffee just overall careless and greedy!! worse hotel in the world.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked here.
The customer service was terrible.  I called the day before to see about checking in early, the front desk said that the manager would call me. Never did.  I called on my way there and he said that he would call us if a room was available early, never heard from anyone.
When we checked in customer service was terrible.  He didn't bother to mention that we would have to park in a neighborhood. Mind you, how can you have 25 rooms and only 10 parking spots?
The room was "ok" clean BUT they gave us an ADA room. No big deal except for the shower head was detachable down low. So you had to wash and then pick up the shower head for the water to be on your body.
I 1000% agree with a previous reviewer about the beds being rock hard. It felt as if we were sleeping on a cement slab.
The next day when they "cleaned" our room, the never replaced the coffee, cups or cleaned the coffee pot.
And to add insult to injury, when we checked out at 9:30 am, two days later, the manager went and inspected our room while we where still there, watching. He didn't even wait for us to leave.
Shame on me for taking the cheap route.  I will for sure spend and extra $20-40 a night to park where I sleep and have good customer service.
One more thing...I thought it funny when we checked out that he did not ask how our stay was.

A warning to all thinking of booking at this Econolodge in Long Beach California. When I arrived to check in the guy wanted to charge me for the full five days when we weren't sure we were staying here that long, with no possibility of a refund. He was extremely rude and was yelling at me. I tried to explain to him that during a baseball tournament we could be done in two days and I was not going to pay him for the full five days if I wasn't sure we were staying for that length of time. He was irritated that I would not pay for the days in advance. We stayed the one night and checked out in the morning.

I stayed here last year on 2 separate occasions, the first time was just 1 night the second occasion was for 3 nights. We stayed in 2 different rooms. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. This time we stayed just 1 night and had a great experience as well. Friendly helpful desk clerk. Clean rooms refrigerator microwave free WiFi was exactly what we needed. Will definitely stay again.

Very bad customer service.  The free WIFI that they advertise is not free cause there is NO WIFI.  The WIFI signal is so weak that it logs you off after 5 seconds.  Complained about it and they kept saying its gonna be fixed, it never got fixed and on top of that, told me I cannot complain about it cause it was a free service anyway.  I don't know how anyone can spend a night/day without using WIFI nowadays.  Anyways, I really wish I read the reviews here before I stayed at this place, it was a total nightmare.  VERY RUDE motel staff which I think is a whole family of Indians.  UGH I still have nightmares.  TRAVELLERS BEWARE!

WARNING!!!! YOU WILL BE DISCRIMINATED!!! DO NOT BOOK AT THIS DUMP!!! I arrived and was disappointed!! Not what I saw in the pictures!!! Parking consists of about 8 spots!  Went to check and advised him I had a service dog and needed a unit downstairs.  I was told that when I booked on line I requested rm 204!!! LIE!!!  I was given my key and proceeded to bring in my suitcase when the lobby attendant asked me to return to his office.  After presenting him with my service dogs identification he proceeds to tell my I cannot stay due to my service dog per manager request.  I told him he would be breaking the law in asking me to leave. He calls his manager again and decision still stands for me to leave.  I demanded his manager name and was given with hesitation.  I have now file this act of discrimination with the US justice department!!!

I wish I could give no stars. As I write this, it is 4:30 AM. My friends and I had a reservation for four nights and drove over 350 miles to arrive at 4 to check in. All hotels will hold a reservation until 7 AM the next day. We tried to check in and the front desk guy told us that because we didn't check in before midnight, he had cancelled our reservation and sold our room. He said he had another room available but we would have to pay the walk-in price.
We agreed to pay the walk-in price if we could continue our reservation for the following three days. He also agreed to this deal. When we presented our payment card, he did not swipe the card and showed us a receipt that said the card had been declined. The receipt was clearly not ours as it even said the card was for a Visa when we presented a Master Card. We confronted him about it and he told us some story about how it would be the same result. We asked him multiple times to swipe our card and he refused. He got frustrated that we were adamant that our card would not decline and threw our card back at us. We informed him of the time (4 AM) and how we did not want to argue this late/early. He then told us that he did not want to sell us a room.
We left and decided to call the customer service hotline and were connected with a representative from England who listened to our story and tried to help. He called the front desk and tried to get the guy to give us our reservation but the guy still refused.
We went down the street to another hotel and got a better rate and no BS.
Stay away from this place. I pity the front desk guy because this is the best he's decided to do with his life..

Stayed one night recently, booked through hotels.com . Let's start with what I liked: The room was clean; we didn't see any bugs. Lots of cable channels. A few more little extras than I've seen at other hotels at this level--in addition to the soap and shampoo, there was also a small coffee maker, a fridge, an iron, a package of anti-snoring nasal strips. There's also a complimentary continental breakfast, although we did not feel comfortable there long enough to want to stay and take advantage of it.

What we didn't like: Very limited parking; we weren't able to park somewhere that we could see from our window. The window didn't close and lock all the way, so we didn't feel safe leaving our camera and laptops when we left the room. Walls are very thin. Ice machine was right outside our door and we heard people getting ice all night long. Not all the lights in our room worked. Tons of security cameras indicated that there had been problems with the area previously. Worst part was, the beds in room 105 were extremely hard. Not just firm. Hard. Like a padded table. It was a rough night of very little sleep. Asking to be moved might have helped, but by the time I really wanted to, my husband was already snoring.

As horrible comments that people had done I can say it is 100% true. Fucking Indian employee service with the cheating way to charge me $20 more for third person that I did pay for that when I booked online please do not come here

I've never been so maltreated.  I have a 10 month old, I'm pregnant and I have a service dog. We checked in yesterday night for two nights.  We paid for two nights and showed them our dogs service license and tags.  I come back to the hotel today to nurse my child and put him to nap.  I'm shirtless and we are almost asleep and I receive a loud knocking on the door.  I tell him we are napping and not dressed and he demands to come in.  He says he must see my dogs license.  I say we showed it last night, he needs to come back when I'm clothed and my child is not napping.  He continues to pound on the door and threatens to call the police.  I open the door in my bra with my half asleep son and he demands to see the license which I need to get dressed and put my son down to find.  Mind you I'm pregnant and have already showed The license when we checked in.  We tried to get a refund and he won't give us one.  I'm horrified at this place.  I think he's a racist man and a masogynist.
Update: we had to leave the motel in the afternoon and lose our 105$ that he wouldn't refund because there ended up being cockroaches that I noticed on the mirror and sink as I was trying to wipe off the dirt on my infant sons knees and hands he received while crawling on the floor.  He's light caramel color but his limbs were actually black from their floor.  
When I told the manager Niti Reddy about these things he denied them saying they had no cockroaches and their floors were clean.
A disgrace.  I will call public health once I recover my sleep and go to the doctor to make sure my 4 month old baby inside is okay after this stressful abusive experience leaving me with two nights zero sleep.

DISHONEST PLACE!!! NOT WORTH IT. Althought I had a good review about this place I have since changed my mind. I called to let them know that I had left my clothes on the bottom drawer of our hotel. They first denied my things were there.  When another person in our party called, now they sent the cleaning lady and our stuff was there including some shoes that I forgot they weren't  in my bag, glad they found them because they were fairly  new. My second problem was that they claimed the ONLY way to get my stuff back is if I pick it up, Sure if I'm traveling from China or Europe, I'll just hop right back to California  like it's  around then corner.  Thank goodness that's not me. They WILL NOT SEND even if you say to sent it and you pay their fee at the post office. They could have charged my card,they have my info when they charged the room. Oh wait, the other way is if I send an empty box with enough postage and if it's  not enough  they are not responsible for what can't  be sent.
Anyways, because my shoes were almost new and I left my workout clothes and I happened to be dropping off someone at LAX the following weekend, I told them o would be there on Saturday. When I got there,  the guy has the most pessimistic  look ever. It's  not my fault, he hates his job, but that besides the point.  I couldn't understand his English, but I grasped  that my things were not found. The 2 of us who called got out of the car and I told them, that I said I would be there to pick things up. He went to talk to the cleaning lady, and the bag was found. When I asked for my shoes.... nope. My shoes were never seen. The note attached to my bag clearly says there was clothes and shoes. The cleaning ladies were more worried about us leaving satisfies and gave 2 trips to try to find my shoes. The people in charge are one of the worst people with customer service I've  seen. They just don't  care about us that took a chance despite the reviews. I had my share of proof. Honesty is something I value, but this  business has shown me it's  not honest,  so 1 star.  :(

The rooms does seem clean enough. If I wanted super clean then I would stay at a 4 or 5 star or a resort... being realistic because sometimes Yelpers complain expecting resort service for a hotel price.... please!
Things were good at this place and our room was spacious.
They offer free items such as Quatro razors, tooth brushes and tooth paste.
My only problem was the water pressure.  So low! Most of the water a was leaking from the shower faucet. With thus California drought they need to be more proactive in fixing this.

We stay here and as the rest of the reviews have said they are not really that customer friendly. Although well priced, they had no safe for our passports or other stuff we wanted kept safe. They were very vague when we asked what price we paid on our credit card. And the beds were extremely hard. Like sleeping on car springs.
