This place is like the places you see in horror movies! WARNING!!!! Don't check in cause you will regret it I still cringe when I drive buy that place. I had no choice but to give it a star I wish there was crossbones I'd give it 5 . will the rooms are exactly how the other guest described them but the most scary thing is the low life's that stay there its a drug addicts ,hookers, pimps and demons lots of them. This motel reminds me of that eagles song hotel California. Couldn't sleep cause I kept on hearing people trying to jimmy the lock. I'd hear people talking in other rooms and people outside slamming doors. Screams and when I would look out the window I'd see people running around the parking lot go from room to room like roaches in the night. Scary scary scary!!! I had to pack up and leave after ,2 hours of hell. And NO REFUND!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would! Stay away! Room was dirty, filthy and looked like  hookers and drug addicts vacation here. We had to wash the pillow cases in laundromat coz they were almost black from dirt. To top it up, this marvelous Inn was located in a shady neighborhood. There was a SWAT team raiding one of the rooms when we came back in the evening. Overall, the price is low, but I'd rather be safe and sleep in a clean bed, than save 30$ of the price difference with other cheap hotels.

Do not stay here. .. it is nasty, dirty, smells, stained and not worth a star rating. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here.  We left after a couple hours because i couldn't take it.

      Fact: Booked for two nights

Problem: Room was not cleaned, trash was not taken out, and towels not replaced on the second day when arrived back to the room at night. Was not instructed by management to inform staff for room service until complaint filed.

Analysis: Standard hotel/motel service would clean room when patron are out.

Recommendation: Provide door tags for guests notifying staff to clean room.

Let me start off by saying I'm really not a picky person...I understand that if I pay $60 for a room I can't expect the Ritz, but this place was beyond horrible!!!

      1) as soon as you pull in the vibe of the place just feels kinda like you should keep all your danger senses on full alert. There was a lot of shady people walking around, and the motel was located on the not so nice side of long beach. DID NOT FEEL SAFE AT ALL.

      2) the room was filthy! I mean being a college student I don't always have the funds to stay in the nicest of places when we travel but this place beat all of them &&  was just plain gross. The floor was dirty, the door handle was filthy, the headboard looked like it had some liquid substance that had dripped down it, being a hotel I can only speculate what that was...ewww. And don't even get me started on the duvet cover and chair! They were beyond filthy and both had so many obvious huge stains...it almost seemed as no housekeeping had even been done to the room.

3)the toilet did not work. After walking into the room and seeing the way it was I tried to still keep a positive mindset but the last straw was definetly the toilet. I tried to flush it and nothing happened, I thought to myself ok no big deal I'll just raise the cap to the toilet tank or back, whatever you want to call it, to just pull the chains and stuff inside and make it flush manually...NOPE!!
The stuff inside was all broken also

4)the lock did not seem safe at all, from outside I could literally move the lock back and forth, && once you were inside it sounded like the door didn't even shut or lock tightly.

      1) their parking lot is pretty decent size for such a small hotel

      2) microwave and fridge in room

      3) cheap room

      4) flat screen, HDTV

      5) at first the front desk lady wasn't very helpful when we came to her complaining about the toilet, she simply said she didn't have a maintenance person && this was her last room. After I called Booking.com (that's who I made reservations thru) && they spoke with her she gave me a complete refund. In the end the front desk lady was pretty nice && apologized to me and said it was a miscommunication between management and housekeeping(who is supposed to report these things), she was also nice when we checked in.

There you go my full review on the Rocky Inn. I'm usually not one to write mean reviews but I thought this stuff needed to be said.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Do not be fooled by the pictures!

Absolutely the most disgusting place I have ever been. If I could give it zero stars I would. Here were some highlights of out stay.. PROSTITUTES renting out hourly with Johns, DRUG DEALERS doing deals in the parking lot, DIRTY towels, HAIR in our "clean" sheets, SCARY MEN trying to follow us into our room, kids partying in the rooms, GRAFFITI on the night stand, DIRT and god knows what else all over the walls, POLICE all around the area making arrests, SHOPLIFTERS across the street at the cvs, thugs bumping rap music while speeding into the parking lot, and CREEPS leaving notes on our car.

This place needs to be shut down. We were literally scared for our lives staying here,  it was so dirty that we went to cvs and bought lysol disinfectant spray and wipes and went back and wiped down the whole room and sprayed the bed and surfaces before even bringing our things inside. The lady at the front was rude and after we asked for a refund for the first room because it had dirty towels, hair in the sheets, dirt and missing paint on the walls, and graffiti on the night stand, she upgraded us to a "suite" with a red tiled heart shaped jacuzzi tub in the ghetto wood floor to the left of the bed. She asked us to go back and remake the bed and place the dirty towels back in the bathroom so she could rent out the old room.. umm wtf. Minutes later, a group of kids piled into the room with booze in hand and I'm sure drugs they picked up from the dealer standing in the corner of the lot. This place is horrible.

Price was decent and we needed something just to crash for the night (less than 10 hours) because we were going to Catalina in the morning.

The pictures they have of the room looked pretty nice on their website or the booking website and it does look like that in reality. However, you can tell someone "remodeled" the rooms that isn't top notch.

I, for some reason, felt comfortable enough to walk around the room barefoot but about 10 minutes later looked at the bottoms of my feet and instantly felt disgusting. Hopped in the shower and was about to dry off with one of the towels--ew, no, I'll just air dry.

TL;DR price is decent but beware of typical gross motels you have seen on CSI
