My husband and I stayed there 4 nites recently.  We got a package from Orbitz that broke down like this:  Air fare for 2 (1 stop) from Philadelphia, $669, or $334.50); hotel and Hertz car for 4 days for $869 (that comes out to, let's say $50 a day for the car, that would be $200, that means $469 for the hotel divided by 4 nites equals $234.50 PER NITE.  Seems a little hi for a Holiday Inn, but my husband wanted a gym and I wanted a pool, which this hotel had both.  Pool was refreshing, clean and nice, towels and hot tub included, but no place to change so you have to go back and forth to your room to change. Pool is tree-shaded in afternoon, so swim before 3 if you want sun. Tiny gym room but adequate for a couple of days.  Room was roomy enough and nice EXCEPT for gross gunk on the bathroom wall - I left a note for the maid to  please take care of, also told the front desk, but it was never done.  The bathroom in our room had a pedestal sink with absolutely no place to put your toiletries, they should add a shelf since the room is big enough. Room was in front of hotel and very noisy from street noise - must have a/c on and drapes closed to shut out the noise.  I had called and requested in advance, a room in the back, but it wasn't done.  On check in, they agreed to change my room the next day, said to pack up our stuff and they would move all for us.  We came back that nite and guess what, never was done and they had no other rooms.  So we never got to change rooms.  Breakfast, not included except for in-room coffee machine.   You would have to go to the restaurant and get a $7 continental buffet or $14 regular buffet; no individual orders allowed.    And parking, they add on $20 per day parking at the end of your stay, it is not included for guests - but if you sign up in advance for their special priority program it's only $14 a day.   However, it was a good location, the bed was comfortable, and was adequate for our needs since we were out of the room almost the whole day anyway.  We were there to just sleep, shower and get dressed, then go out and sightsee.  They also have a concierge to hook you up with tours although we didn't use that service.

drunk coming down from the decembrist concert at the hollywood bowl on sunday night, walking towards hollywood boulevard with the masses when i realize too late that i gotta take a piss really really bad.  my bladder is close to exploding from two tall boys that i had killed at the concert.  every block we shuffle past (and i'm talking the crowd of people were moving very slow) i'm looking right and left for a place to take a leak: bushes, parked vans, trash dumpsters, a dark alley, anything.  when to my surprise i see the entrance to this holiday inn, and it was like a gift sent down from heaven.  i walk into the building past security trying to act like a guest.  make a bee line for the men's bathroom.  release a FLOOD.  THANK GOD FOR THIS HOLIDAY INN.

Amazingly close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this hotel seriously RULED! It's a hop, skip and a jump from the Chinese Theater. I paid for the King Bed Executive Suite, and it was huge, had a view of N. Highland, had a mini fridge, microwave and sink in the kitchen area... This is a non-smoking property, FYI, but for the money it was well worth it (there's a pot club next door, go buy some blunts, and walk around the neighborhood.. gorgeous homes!)

We arrived at 2:30 PM and were advised our room wasn't ready yet.  The front desk had attitude.  Our room was ready in 20 minutes, so we got on the elevator to go to the 8th floor, but the elevator control had 1-5 floors.  After inquiring at the front desk, we were instructed to go to floor 5 and change elevators!  In reality, the elevator for floors 6-8 is located at the far end of floor 5, about 1/2 block from the arrival point on floor 5.  It was not convenient.

We enter the room, it smells like shit.  Did someone's dog shit under the bed?  The air conditioner didn't work well.

The parking is really screwed up too, and the valet guy was a JERK.

This Holiday Inn is run by Highland Suites, Inc, an independent contractor, for whatever it's worth.

The Renaissance next door is a much better option if you need something close by.

eeek. not a five star hotel for sure, but fine for a super quick business trip because it was walking distance to the Magic Castle, the Galleria, Hollywood Bowl, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Score! I was only here for less than 48 hours and I did a LOT of sightseeing thanks to the great location. I had a beautiful king size bed facing the dinky pool, but I was facing the Hollywood Hills view. Nice. I'd love to stay there again because of the convenience.

Wow. After bailing on the dumpiest motel in West Hollywood (Hollyway) and regretably taking the "last suite" at the Ramada down the street, this was an oasis in a drama filled 24 hours. Now I know what it was like for Mary and Joseph. This inn full, this one almost full. This one. Just right. Or perhaps it's more of a Goldilocks metaphor. Regardless, the friendliest staff resides here, at this Holiday Inn. The bellman, front desk staff and valet were all A+. Now, if they could just rub off a little on the grumpy, I don't own a comb, bartender, all would have been perfect. Our room was very clean and well appointed. It's a Holiday Inn people, not the Four Seasons. My expectations were in check. I'm never up to grab the free breakfast. And tortilla chips and salsa for the free appetizers during happy hour is pretty lame. But our three nights were comfy, cozy and priced just right.

Had to reduce my star rating. The price has gone up almost $200 a night since I stayed here only a couple years ago. My rooms were always around $129/night. Now, they're about $300. This is a very comfortable hotel, lots of pluses. But, given their steep price hike, I would hesitate to stay here. The Renaissance just a block away has the same prices and has more exciting rooms. Also, parking is much easier at the Renaissance because they had a traffic light specially installed for their parking ramp. If Renaissances also has breakfast included, there's far less reason to stay at the HI-Ex.

This is just your standard hotel.  BUT, it's walking distance to Hollywood Bowl and the Walk of Fame.  So, if that's your destination, you're psyched.  You're also walking distance from lots of restuarants, some bars, and Hollywood & Highland shopping center.

They do have valet parking (with a daily parking fee) and your standard good selection of New Releases on the pay per view in room movies.

Great location in proximity to the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood and Highland Shopping Center. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast buffet at the hollywood hills cafe is the same thing every day. Could use some variety there. It also wasn't open for lunch.

Internet usage is too expensive. It's 5.95 for 15 minutes. And it costs 5.95 to print which is insane.

Not a bad hotel at all and like I mentioned before, the location is very convenient.

My employer sent some of their staff here and I only can comment on one thing:  DO NOT CALL THEM IN THE MORNING!!!!  Their phone system is the kind that after xx rings, it hangs up on you.  That's stupid in the hospitality industry.  Why would you ever hang up on the customer?  And for whatever reason, they are always slammed in the morning.

The location is great for being a Hollywood tourist, hotel personnel are friendly and helpful,  rooms are well appointed , and  restaurant free breakfast is very good. I was most disappointed with the fitness room.  On the website it was described as "state of the art" but it is far from that.  I would not have stayed there if I had known what it is really like.  There were 4 pieces of cardio equipment with two out of order and the other 2 needing maintenance.  There was a small exercise ball.  There was no water and no towels and when I requested towels none were made available.  Since I workout everyday this would keep me from returning.  If you don't care about fitness it is a good place to stay.

We are platinum priority members, who received a room across from the elevator and faced out to Highland Avnue.... make sure you request a room that does not have a window that faces out to Highland Avenue....VERY noisy from car noise!  You would think that when you have stayed at Holiday Inn's over 35 nights since Jan. 1, you would have some priority. But it did not seem to matter at this Holiday Inn......

I read through all of the negative reviews and all I can say is they are unreasonable.  It was a solid experience for a Holiday Inn Express and the location was great.  The rooms were very nice and the staff could not have been more friendly.

My friends and I stayed in a suite for one night while in Hollywood.  It was great.  Big, spacious, plenty of room.  Of course, one bathroom, but who cares!  When doubling up in the beds, we all had some sort of mattress to sleep on (2 king beds and a sleeper sofa).

They get knocked down a star because of the ridiculous $22 per day parking fee.  That's my only complaint.

Otherwise, I'd definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

I am a platinum member with Priority Club and usually receive great service from any of their hotels.  This hotel was not one of them.  It took about 30 to 40 minutes just to check in cause the guy at the front desk said there are no clean rooms in the hotel - not one.  I was booked for a suite, but since I had driven there, I wanted to shower and change clothes - so I told him I would take any room.  After going back and forth for about 30 minutes, he said, well ok, I do have a clean room.  Really?  After all of that, he actually did have a clean room?!?!  Then, I had to go up to the 5th floor, walk to the back of the hotel and take another elevator up to the 7th floor.  Very odd hotel.  There are many other hotels in the area that you may want to try.

On a recent trip to LA, I stayed in this hotel and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay. The staff from front desk, to housekeeping, to valet were very friendly. Unlike another lodging that bills itself as the "Hollywood Hotel" but isnt, this one is mere steps away from where all the action takes place: The Chinese Theatre, Walk Of Fame, Wax Museum, etc. My favorite part was coming down for breakfast and seeing the wide variety of food available. It's billed as "continental" but I would argue that they went above and beyond that as they had a ton of food waiting for all you hungry travelers! You just cant beat if for the low price!

I stayed here on business and loved it! The room was much bigger than I expected and it was very clean. The front desk and parking attendants were really nice, quick, and friendly too! And, check out the great murals in the parking lot. I met the artist and she is really cool. They also have free internet and a pool. I slept on the 5th floor and it was really quiet.

The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that their free breakfasts are very standard American with white bread instead of wheat - and no fruit!!! (Well, maybe a couple of bananas were offered.) Everything looked processed and full of Cholesterol.  Vegans will have a hard time with it. Also, no soy milk was offered. :-(  On the plus side, there are mini fridges in the rooms to store your own food supplies.

This place is really close to Grauman's Chinese Theater and a mall--head south.

At this price you cannot get better. The staff is impeccable, rooms immaculate, breakfast fantastic, free internet access, pool, and access to the main attractions to Hollywood, Universal Studio, and so much more.

I love it here. In traveling so much I get to see high end, and high priced hotels. This location is the perfect mix of quality for price. Enjoy it!

I should have consulted Yelp before I booked this place.  This must be one of few Holiday Inn Express hotels that charge for parking--and they hit you hard with the cost.  Becky's review from six months ago said that the parking was $15.  Now they have the nerve (in 2009!) to charge $20, plus two dollars "tax" on the parking.  Due to their excessive parking charge, I will not return.  Don't be fooled by their attractive room rate until you figure in the parking.

I had take two elevators to get to my room on the seventh floor.  Otherwise, the room and breakfast are fine.

i took snoop d-o-double-g's word and had a party at the holiday inn.  ok, sort of, we had a pre-party at the holiday inn for new year's eve, booked a room for 10+ of us to crash in post-clubbing and it worked.

for those of you that are planning on ringing in the new year in hollywood, this holiday inn offers reasonable price with a great location.  it is located literally right off hollywood & highland and you can walk to your nearest hot spots/clubs to celebrate nye.

no, you don't have to act like a criminal trying to smuggle about 10+ people into your room because the hotel staff is too used to that scene.

does it have nice accommodation?  sorta.  will the rooms fit 10+ people?  yeah, it did, but not comfortably.  does the inn provide you a place to stay so you don't have to appoint a designated driver and force someone to stay sober?  yes.

so hope your 2010 nye goes a little something like this:  whachu doin (for new years eve?) nothing pre-partying at the holidae in.

I was in town from the bay area to visit my best friend and she thought it'd be fun to stay in Hollywood for the wkend so she got a hotel for two nights. Staff was nice, hotel and our room was very clean! They were playing the jams throughout the hotel lol so that's a plus:). Beds were comfy, housekeeping came after we left and did a nice job cleaning up the mess we made the night lol! (you know how girls get when they are getting ready for the night. Stuff is everywhere!haha)

Also great location! We went to two clubs while I was there one in Hollywood the other in downtown LA I think...we took a cab both nights instead of my bff driving and it was very cheap!

Will definitely be back!

My dad was in town visiting for the weekend so we stayed here. It's a nice hotel in a great location.

They have everything you need for a nice place to sleep. The rooms are clean and have a fridge. We honestly did not spend a lot of time in the room, but while we were there I was very happy.

Parking is a little steep at $20/day for valet or self-parking considering they are a couple blocks off Hollywood Blvd, but what can ya do?! People have mentioned making the left into the hotel, but you really just have to push your way over lane by lane. It never took me more than 10 seconds to turn into the lot. There is a traffic light just past the hotel which makes it easier to make the turn while cars are stopped at the light.

The location is wonderful. Just a couple blocks from the Hollywood & Highland complex where there are tons of shops and restaurants. The Chinese Theater has a nice line up of current movies and is a beautiful venue to see a film. The metro is also at the corner of H&H, so you can hop on that up to Universal or to downtown or wherever your heart desires.

If you're trying to get up to Griffith Observatory on a Saturday or Sunday, hop on the metro red line to the Sunset/Vermont station. A shuttle stops there every 30 or so minutes and will take you to the door of the Observatory for 35 cents a person. Much better than the headache of trying to park up there on the weekends! Los Feliz is also a great area to explore for dinner after you're finished at the Observatory.

I stayed here with a last minute reservation (as in I called a thousand hotels in the area while driving around in need of a hotel).  I had been staying at a different hotel down the road, but because my other friend came in to town we decided that 4 girls and 1 bathroom was not a great idea!

This hotel was much nicer than I expected.  They don't have free hotel guest parking which totally blows, but whatever.

Comfortable beds
Clean rooms
Free breakfast...good breakfast
Free internet
Safe entrance after hours
Parking (NOT free)

The hotel was more expensive than a holiday inn express should be, but it was on the weekend of the golden globes and hotels were all jam packed so I thought we were lucky to get anything!

I would definitely stay here again.

Although I am rating this hotel 3 stars, I will probably stay here again because of the central location and I get Priority Club points. Other than that there is not much else to rave about. The room is very clean and spacious, The A/C works, although it is a bit noisy. There is a coffee maker, microwave, bar sink, small fridge, swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, and a complementary continental breakfast. Downside: the parking is 20 freak'n dollars, the "exercise room" is a treadmill, T.V., exercise ball, weight scale, and a big empty section for stretching. Ya, it is more like a room with a T.V. and treadmill-not a exercise room.
Other than that, this place is not that special :(

I sure won't foget this hotel for they play Tiesto music when we pulled up & checked in! oh & they play kaskade music on their hotel website... interesting.

Hard to turn in & out of this hotel for there is alot of much traffic going both ways on Highlands. Aside from that factor,  great location & very convenient that its near the Hollywood/Highlands strip & the othe nearby attractions/clubs/hot spots.

$20 per car per night (regardless if valet or self parking). But do note that self parking is limited to 1 1/2 floor in structure of where the hotel. Safe parking.

-Stayed in the 2 Queens Executive Room (about 450sq ft) - pretty roomy for we had a sofa couch that pulls out to be a bed (in the mirror closet there is an extra set of bedsheets/pillows & blanket).
-Super clean, very comfy, nice modern decor & room color.
-Room has: full length mirror, safe, mini fridge, bar sink, coffeemaker, microwave, & a/c.
-We stayed on the even side so our room faced out towards the street & hills. Nice view but what bothered us the most was the room curtains - they weren't full closed curtains - more like 1/2 curtains?! You'll get blasted ray of sunshine in on your face when you're trying to sleep in esp when you don't have to wake up early  =\

I would stay here again but gonna stay on the odd side instead since the sun rises on the other & one can't hide from it!  The hotel offers free hot b-fast from 6:30-9:30am but we didnt get to take advantage of it.  Oh in the lobby there is a "mini" convenient store for simple quick needs. The staff has been very accommodating. So yep definitely am a fan of this hotel despite that the weekend pricing is a bit  high... it's the price being in hollywood~!

Was debating on using my free night in the Intercontinental or here, and so glad it was here...not that it is by any means the same standard, but very decent HI Express and what sells it is the awesome location!  We were on the 8th floor, and that seemed relatively new, decent standard.  The air conditioning was a bit noisy though...but we could see the Hollywood sign peaking over the hill in front of it.  Worth noting that the IHG website incorrectly stated self/valet parking when it is just self parking.  Did not use any of the amenities other than the room and parking,  but the pool looked crystal clear.  If you are on the 6th floor and above, you have to take two elevators...inviting staff at the desk...would definitely stay here again!

Came to stay during my Bday weekend as i decided to check out La Descarga down the road and get my social lubrication on. The service was great and the location was also very amazing. I enjoyed the structure as it was lifted due to the hill it was located on. Valet parking is discounted when you show them your yelp check in which is still valid as of January 15, 2013, All in all a great place to stay for easy access to tourist spots and great places to party in LA.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in

You also get half off valet if you check in while your there

Pulled right up and was immediately greeted with smiling faces from valet to
The front desk

The guy and girl at the front desk was super cool and very friendly

Have us maps of the area & the best restaurants

We stayed overnight to see Kathy Griffin at the Dolby Theater that was practically next door

We decided to walk & it took maybe 5 or 10 min to get so not paying taxi prices were a plus

Hotel was very clean, sheets, towels, bathroom perfect

Pool goes to 5ft but that's fine because I can swim anyway

The free breakfast from 6-930am was really good
Options from biscuits & gravy, bacon, eggs, cinnamon rolls, cereal,
Juice... Pretty much the total opposite you would expect for free & all of it was REALLY REALLY GOOD

Free wifi, hbo, starz, tmc
Not too crowded, mostly families there and not loud at all even at night

Yep I will stay there again & again.. PERFECT place PERFECT location

I stayed here with my friends last year during a girls weekend to LA.  We were using partial points so it ended up being very cheap so we all came in with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised.  The hotel was newly renovated and was very modern looking inside.  The employees were very friendly and assisted us with recommending restaurants and things to do in the area (but please, California Pizza Kitchen? Really?  Thank goodness for Yelp!).

They offered free wifi with a different code daily.  The big selling points to us were the free breakfast and location to all the Hollywood hotspots.  I have experienced some pretty shady "free breakfasts" so I wasn't expecting this one to be that legit but it was actually pretty decent.  Eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage...the works.  Not just a cereal and juice breakfast!  We were also able to walk to the Chinese Theater/Walk of Fame area pretty easily.  The only difficult part was making the left turn into the parking garage...California drivers did not have patience with my over-careful Texas ways!  Make sure to wash off your makeup in the shower though - they had signs all over the bathroom threatening to charge you if you stain the towels!  We were paranoid but at the same time thought it was very "LA" of them to have such a warning!

Simply the best Holiday Inn I've stayed at and one of the best hotels in Hollywood!
GREAT location!  Right up the street from Hollywood and Highland!  Walking distance to the Hollywood walk of fame where all the main attractions are.
Good staff and friendly service, parking is easy and the rooms are nice.

I specially like this hotel because I go out late nights in Hollywood and don't like to drive home and risk driving while intoxicated!  It's affordable, taxi is easy to get and costs less than $10 to go anywhere in LA from here, there's food nearby, there's free breakfast for the morning after and once again...friendly service that makes it easy to come and go as I please!

Highly recommended!

Customer service is WHACK.  I called to inquire how much additional they charge for incidentals and if i could pay it in cash. The lady says $100 is the normal, if it was cash it'd be 300, however has to have a managers approval. Well she asked the manger and they refused said cc only!
I travel a lot and have $ held up in incidentals because my bank doesn't release it for 21 days. Wheres the good customer service in that?

Out of all the hotels that I have stayed within this block I like this one the best.  Its a little more expensive than the other two but sometimes if you want quality you have to pay for it.

Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd which is always nice so for the price you pay and to be this close to pretty much just about everything one cant complain.

The hotel staff was very nice and there was no delay in my reservation (which I had just booked online moments before check-in).  The rooms were very clean, comfortable bedding, huge fridge, and all the bells and whistle that one likes when staying in a hotel.

Only downside is that parking here is extra but again, like I said being that close to Hollywood Blvd is well worth having somewhere to park your car as cabs are immediately available.  This hotel also has Valet but a cab is just a phone call away for the Valet guy.  The Valet called myself and my gf a cab and the cab was there within minutes.

Pluse have to add this this hotel is 100% smoke free hotel for those that smoke.  Not 100% sure on this but think I saw a sign that mentioned there was like a $300 fine for smoking in or around the premises of this hotel so be aware.

Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel for those just spending the night in LA for one night or a weekend.  Just be sure to shop/look around as the prices for this hotel fluctuates from time and time and if your patient enough; you can find a good deal.

Traveling to L.A. to see Book of Mormon at The Pantages, we booked a Friday night at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Hollywood Walk Of Fame. I want to commend the ownership of this hotel -- your staff is amazing. From the valet to the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone is obviously well trained. They are responsive, friendly and efficient. We also were appreciative of the extra security in the evening, with a person stationed in the lobby, checking to make sure that anyone going upstairs in the elevator was, in fact, a registered guest.

Everything is very clean and the linens are very nice. I thought this was a tremendous value. Much better than paying $350 to stay in one of the nearby "luxury" hotels.

The breakfast room was packed, everyone seemed quite pleased with the quantity of food available. (There is a Starbucks just across the street.)

The location is TERRIFIC - so close to The Pantages, Walk of Fame, etc., although the immediate area is sketchy and I would use caution walking at night. I would definitely NOT walk alone in this area.

The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars was because it takes forever to get hot water and this is a HUGE waste of water. I hope the hotel can remedy this, especially given our drought conditions.

Nice hotels... a little bit of old style but staffs are good. They will take care of any issue you have. The breakfast room is decent no problem with it... I liked their beds... super comfy :)

This hotel is beyond amazing and worth every single penny. Stayed here for 2 and a half weeks while waiting to find apartment. The beds are just unbelievable. I have a horrible back and would check beds at different hotels around there until found a comfy one. Seriously is better than my bed at home. If you get a remodeled room on the 7th floor it's fabulous. But the older rooms are just as amazing. Front desk is super nice and helpful.

I stayed with a group in a suite to be close to Hollywood Bowl. We were on the 4th floor  where breakfast was served and the gym & pool which was convenient. The room was really hot & muggy so we needed the air on the entire time. The room was a good size, with a pull out couch, table, fridge and microwave. It was basic nothing fancy. The breakfast was more than continental with various options but was average. It was crowded even though it was Tuesday with everyone trying to get there food at once since you serve yourself. The staff was friendly and there wasn't a long wait for valet. I would only stay here again if I was going to a concert. Oh a few positives are Starbucks & Subway are across the street and you're walking distance to Hollywood & highland with tons of shopping & restaurants. Negative: no room service

All Holiday Inn Express hotels are great for what you pay, and this one was no exception. All of the fun tourist attractions were within walking distance (walk of fame, Chinese Theater etc.). The front desk was amazing and so helpful. Omar was awesome of course, which wasn't surprising considering all of the other great reviews about him. Thanks for the stay guys - see you next time!

the staff made it seem like it was ok that they charged $22 for parking and had no option to self park. That is extortion And just because "Here in hollywood everyone charges a lot for parking" That is NOT an excuse to extort your guests. I will be calling for a refund.

They also had no room service, for $200/night I want food available when I want it. not having to order out.

Also when we turned on the WALL AC/Heater it set off the fire alarm. The bathroom was old. The breakfast was ok but the eggy beaters were disgusting and the bacon was so thinly sliced it tasted like fat. Get some better cuts.

Although the beds were comfy, won't be returning unless no other option available.

This has been a pleasant visit here we are on the fourth floor  right next to the pool it is very clean. And the rooms are nice with new beds  the rooms have  all creature comforts . The breakfast with tasty selective variety of morning goods. It is a place to rest your head and you can rest easy :-)

i'm going to give this place a solid 4 stars, but keep in mind, i didn't pay for anything so i can't comment on pricing at all.
location: can't beat it, except for getting in and out of the parking lot. so, you're located just a few blocks from sunset and all the action in one direction and a few blocks from the 101 in the other. parking is the only issue. to park your car, you have to pay $20 a day, but the valets park it for you. to get in and out of the lot, you have to fight gridlocked traffic.
the rooms: no complaints at all on size or amenities. but the bed gave me terrible back pain. i wasn't uncomfortable sleeping, but would wake up in the morning with stabbing pain in my upper back. maybe that's just me, but it's something i won't forget.
staff: everyone from the valets, to the concierges, to the maids were super friendly. and super attentive. in fact, they were probably the best part about the stay.
amenities: i didn't use the pool while we were here, but it was shallow and small, but enough to cool off in the hot sun. the workout room was super small, but it didn't seem that many people used it, so it was big enough, enough machines i suppose. and there was a continental breakfast room as well which was packed every morning.
i'd stay here again. like i said, i don't know numbers on price, but i do believe it was a good deal for location, compared to others around the area.

Loved this place! Nice, quiet rooms, comfy bed. The only thing I didn't like was the bath tub, a little too slippery but just put a towel in there. The free shuttle to universal was awesome. We went for hollywood horror nights so we missed the last shuttle. Payed 10 bucks for a ride back by cab which isn't so bad. Another thing that kind of sucked was the daily parking fee of about $17 a day.
The restaurant next door had amazing breakfast buffet, $17 a person but so worth it! We had amazing service there. Next time we will have to try lunch or dinner.

THIS HOTEL IS A NIGHTMARE! My wife and I stayed here last Saturday night.I would like to have said we slept here but that was not the case.We were plonked in room 307 which has a window with a view of a dirty alley running behind the rooms or maybe it's an escape route. After attending a music event at the Greek Theater we returned to our room at about 10pm and commenced to unwind by watching some tv in bed. That's when we noticed a loud horrible humming sound coming from behind the wall at the head of our bed. This intrusive sound continued unabated all through the night and was still going when we left to check out at about 7.30am in the morning. It was then that I walked out of our room and around the corner to see a large coin operated washer and dryer up against the wall adjoining our bedroom...right where the head of our bed sat. These idiots had put us next to a laundry and allowed it to be operated all through the night. And I seriously doubt it was hotel guests who were washing their clothes load after load through the whole night.I would compare this hotel to ALCATRAZ which was also clean and built for punishment. When we arrived to check in at about 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon there was no one else within a hundred feet of reception except us and yet Mr Hotshot behind the front desk had his head buried in the computer and told us he had to do this and would be only a couple of minutes. So we had to stand there while Omar farted around when we were tired from our long drive from San Diego and just wanted to to get into our room.Even then he fed us some bullshit that the room wasn't ready yet and it would not be until 3.30pm that we could pick up the keys.He asked for our cell phone number so he could let us know when the room was ready. When we finally realized he had texted us we returned to the reception desk and had to stand around waiting even longer just to pick up our keys because there was line of people waiting for Omar to work out how to use the computer. You will have to chance death driving into the hotel carpark because of the ARMAGEDDON GRIDLOCK on the road outside. The breakfast dining room on the 4th floor had the look of a McDonald's in a 3rd world country and the food on offer wouldn't be fit to be served in a prison.DISGUSTING...that's why it's free.SEE IT AND HEAR IT ON YouTube - youtube.com/watch?v=34fi…

I am a Platinum Elite at IHG hotels so I stay at Holiday Inns often because it is fairly priced and I like the option of a free morning breakfast. With that said, I was quite disappointed with this hotel.  From the reviews and paying over $215 a night with $22 additional for parking, I expected to be wowed by this hotel... but it definitely disappointed.   One of the few times Yelp failed me. :(

The reviews mentioned premium breakfast so I thought, considering this location is in Hollywood, maybe the breakfast options had an upgrade.  NOT.   The breakfast buffet was like ANY holiday inn everywhere else.  Eggs, sausage, pancakes, bagels, some fruits, some juice, yogurt.   Typical breakfast for IHG hotels.

The gym was adequate but like all IHG gyms, it needed a huge upgrade.  There wasn't much air ventilation and I felt like I was suffocating while I was running the DREADmill.  AND... they don't have water available?  The mornings that I went to the gym, I had to bring my own water.  I thought that was a bit ridiculous considering water is the most essential part of a work out.

The pool looked clean and although I did plan on swimming, I didn't get to because my days were too packed with other activities.

When we checked in, our rooms got upgraded, which wasn't exactly a great thing at this Holiday Inn.  They upgraded me to a room in level 7, and the way they designed the elevators in the hotel was very weird.   You have to take two different elevators to get to the top floors with a few minutes of walking in between the elevators.  Being on the top, I also expected some type of city view from my window but the room didn't even have a view? It had a view of NOTHINGNESS.   The room itself was very very spacious and clean though.

Overall, would I stay here again? Probably not.

This place is so pathetic. Their rooms are SO SMALL yet they charge over $200 for a night!!!!! Everything about this hotel is a rip off. So dirty and nasty their carpets are. And the manager Omar is so unprofessional doesn't know how to deal with customers. They over charge your credit card and hope you don't catch on. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NICE HOTEL TO GO TO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE HOLIDAY INN, it is so not worth your money. You can pay the same price and actually get a really nice suite not a regular small room like the ones they give you at the Holiday Inn in Hollywood, CA!!!!

I was with my Kollene 1 night at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk Of Fame, after I had several times already with my family there. The hotel was fully booked and it was difficult to get to the Check Inn. The ambience great, especially at Christmas time The rooms are often very small, but there are also very large rooms. I have had everything already. As I said, well worth a visit, but it's just an old hotel with a very nice ambience.

This hotel room is really awful. The drainage in our shower pools to our ankles. It's disgusting. I attempted to alert the front desk of our problem to no resolve. I cannot believe the poor treatment for such an expensive hotel.

My husband and I loved this hotel! Upon check-in, his Platinum Elite status was immediately recognized and Omar asked us if we would like welcome bags with water and trail mix or 500 points. We opted for the points. I explained that we were actually staying for three nights, but I made a separate reservation for the third night since we were using reward points. Because the room type was different, Omar said he would do everything he could to allow us to stay in the same room all three nights. Because of the wait, he ended up giving us the welcome bags in addition to the points. On our second to last night, Maria was able to allow us to stay in the same room, which was very nice that we didn't have to check-out only to check back in.

We were on the 800 level, which meant we took elevator A to the 4th floor....walked down the hall and around the corner to elevator B to the 8th floor. Kind of weird but it was always quiet in our room so that was a plus. Breakfast was better than expected, especially with the pancake machine and the warm cinnamon rolls.

I took one star off because of the parking fee. It's not $22 per night you stay there...it's $22 per DAY. So, even though we checked out on Thursday at 10am, we were charged $22 for Thursday parking. Kind of crappy if you ask me. I'm all for tipping a valet; however, there was one time our car was right in the front so we could have just hopped in but the valet insisted on backing it out of the parking spot for us to work for the tip. Other than that, the hotel was great. We only took our car out twice since most of the touristy things were within walking distance.

When you see the front facade picture in the web page, it looks like a nice, not modern, but nice hotel, in a clean place. Those marketing strategies are the best! Well, the hotel is not in a nice neighborhood and it feels old, but is just 3 blocks to the walk of fame (Hotel wins)

The parking is very expensive, $22 a day (we stayed just one night). We were on a road trip with my family so we left a lot of personal ítems at the MiniVan, so I was not confortable leaving the car with them. I Insisted and the valet let me park the car my self.

The size of the room is great. It has a mini kitchen, microwave, refrigerator and a sofabed wich was very helpful for us, as we are a family of 5.

We were at the 8th floor (not sure) with a view to the Street right above the reception, with no noise from outside.

Breakfast and wifi is included wich is a great plus. They don´t have a restaurant, but across the street there´s a pizza place and a Subway, wich was fantastic for the kids.

Not the greatest hotel in the area, but the cheaper (around $220 a night).

Our stay started off well.  We checked in on my birthday and the front desk guy said he'd only charge me $14 for parking because it was my birthday.  He was really nice and told us which way to go if we wanted to grab dinner and drinks on the blvd.

The next morning we were about to check out as we were going to Universal Studios.  It was very frustrating and annoying!  We walked out of our room on the 7th floor to use the computers next to the breakfast area.  Later we found out that the elevators to the 5th-8th floors weren't working (there was no sign or cones) so when we tried to get back into our room to grab our bags the keys didn't work anymore!  So, we walked the confusing maze of stairs back down to the lobby to get our key reactivated.  They said that they lock them because check out time is noon.  But, it was only 11!  We got our keys, walked back upstairs to our room, and grabbed our luggage, and our cooler.

If you could imagine one small lady like me, and my boyfriend dragging our stuff down 7 flights of the maze of stairs (it really had a lot of turns here and there) you could see us breaking a sweat walking up and down.  We finally get down to the lobby and while there are 4 employees behind the front desk, no one offered to help me drag our luggages and cooler....NO ONE.  They just stood there watching.  Then when I checked out, the lady told me she'll charge me $22 for parking.....yeah, I didn't even wanna argue that the guy last night told me $14.  I was pissed, sweaty, and annoyed.  And as I walked away, I told myself.....NEVER AGAIN.
