Really nice new hotel - large room with great view - much more vibrant than most of the staid old hotels at LAX

I would give them one star but there rooms are really nice and the free breakfast was amazing. But the check in process was horrible!! I was .50 cents short on my card of the room cost plus $20 deposit and they would not work with me. Pretty pathetic!!! So the only other option was to pay for the room with my card and pay a $500 cash deposit! $500?!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And on top that you don't get your money back when you check out, YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR A CHECK TO BE MAILED TO YOU!! It's been 13days now, still waiting on my check!!!! Very disappointed with customer services and lack of flexibility.

Great hotel! Nice pool with bbq area. Everything is new and modern. Fantastic complementary hot breakfast too! The rooms were spacious enough for 3-4 people. The bed was very comfortable! The bathrooms are clean, modern and spacious as well. Only thing they needed was a hot tub near the pool. They should spend the extra money for it! Service was good and quick. Thanks for the comfy stay!

Beautiful remodeled residence inn at LAX! We drove in from Stagecoach festival where we had stayed at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert for over 3x the price of this hotel! Although different types of hotels the Residence Inn blew us away! We arrived at 1 am and the ladies at the front desk were personable and professional. The lobby was warm and inviting with a  comfortable seating area, big screen TV, a little 24 hour store, a Starbucks on site and free computers/printers.  The room was amazing! Cute, new, clean and well laid out. HD TV, a living area, the kitchen stocked with dishes etc.  the kitchen was fully functional with a 2 burner stove, mini dishwasher and a full fridge. They will even pick up groceries for you if you make a list! We were so impressed. It is a modern but comfortable room. I would have no trouble staying here next time I visit LA as opposed to paying out the nose for a crappy hotel at the beach. I highly recommend!

I would like to preface this by saying that this is a very nice hotel. However, Marriott seems to have a problem anytime I prepay for a room with a corporate check or reward points.  This morning, my first email was from our bank...."This is an alert to help manage your account ending in xxx8. A $156.57 debit card transaction to RESIDENCE INN LOS AN on 5/16/2015 7:18:57 AM EDT exceeded your $50 set Alert limit...So I called Marriott and they thank me for being a gold card member and insist that the room was paid in advance with an e-certificate and also verify that the points were removed from my account. Next I call the front desk and they insist that a charge was not made....it's just annoying to wake up to a message like this....I am changing brands and moving to the Westin.....

This a brand new hotel. It opened 2 months ago. I stay in Residence Inn's whenever I can. 2 years ago, I stayed at the Courtyard a block away, right after it had been remodeled. I guess they knew how to build hotels next to airports when they built it. I never heard a single jet when I stayed there. Not so at this Residence Inn - you hear EVERY jet take off! This hotel has SINGLE PANE WINDOWS. It is part of the reason for the noise. It is so bad that I heard the picket line protesters at the hotel next door from my 8th floor room!
The housekeeping needs some training. Every day, of my 5 day stay, brought a different arrangement of towels in both the kitchen and bathroom. The tile in the bathroom looked worse on some days than when I first arrived and the added dirt was there after housekeeping was done! Because it is so new, it is hard to tell if they are cleaning the rest of the room any better.
All that said, the staff have been very friendly and go out of their way to help. The breakfast buffet is very nice with wonderful attending staff - you can't buss your dishes before they grab them. The attached Starbuck's just opened the week of my stay - they are very friendly too! There is plenry of parking in the garage with spaces marked just for hotel patrons. I would probably stay here again.

Stayed here on Tuesday night.

The hotel is brand new and very modern. My room was fantastic with nice view and very clean. Even though hotel is next to airport you will not hear any noise in the room. There is a Starbucks next door and two new restaurants are on the way to open shortly.

Staff are very polite and helpful. Do not know if they have shuttle to airport since I did not need one.

Breakfast included but is basic which was a disappointment, I would rather be charged but have a complete breakfast.
