Came here for dinner where no buffet to be found.. or other guests for that matter (maybe since it was an hour to closing). The menu was a pretty decent selection and all the employees were nice, especially our server Susan who was down to earth and hilarious. The appetizers were good  but entrees were a bit dry and took a snail ride to come out. Nothing special that I'd come back for, except maybe to see my new homegirl Susan

Good place to eat, excellent menu.  Must try the make your own pasta station and their bread pudding.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday.  It was not the first time I had been there, but it always has a good assortment of food, including the pasta bar, so I had to try it again.  For those that have never been there, it is located in downtown L.A. in the Macy's Plaza underneath the escalators.  It's actually a nice area of the plaza.
Walking in without reservations, there was no wait and we were seated immediately.  All of the hosts were extremely polite and accomodating.  We were seated in the large room past the buffet bar.  Once again, the food was excellent, a nice variety of options.  Only thing missing for me was some kind of fish.  No fish served this day, the waiter said I missed it by a day. But service was excellent, I couldn't finish half a glass of water without it being refilled.  I had a catch-22 feeling about this place on this particular day: the place was dead.  Not more than 5 other people in the entire restaurant during our entire lunch, except as we were leaving, there was a small group that arrived.  I'm glad we were the main focus of service, but afraid that this place is hurting for business and may close someday soon.  There were a number of wait staff talking to each other quite a bit, looking bored. Even the pasta cook was walking around, nobody to serve.  I hope they figure out a way to keep this place open, it actually is very good.

I went there about 3 times in 3 weeks. I have to say their pasta station is simply awesome. Pick your base, ingredient then add your noodle and sauce. Their white-sauce is one of the best I've ever had. Creamy yet not too heavy! I always order it with lots of garlic, mushroom, onion, peas and shrimp, YUM!

Their regular buffet item changes everyday too. Two kinds of meat, vegetable, then some kind of starch such as rice or noodle. Salad is as fresh as it can get!

Desert, well... not much to choose from (lemon bar, brownie, cookie, cheese cake or carrot cake,) but the must-try is the bread pudding. The secret is in the sauce! That vanilla sauce is simply, out of this world.

Now the sad news: The make-your-own-pasta station has been removed by the management! I just found out today and was disappointed. Will I go back? Well, probably not. The make-your-own-pasta station was the reason why I went there the first place.

If you want to drive, the parking is $5 for the first 2 hours with validation which is provided when you ask. Also the price includes a soft drink! Save your receipt as well because next time you go, your previous receipt will get you a 10% off.

Went there for friday Surf and Turf buffet.  The variety is not as vast as most would imagine when the word "buffet" is mentioned... but the little they have... taste great!!!

They have two stations, one for hot... and one for cold... the pasta station is not always present... at least not the first time I went...

Nonetheless, the salmon and sirloin tips that they served were hot and tasty.

Not the cheapest either... but is any restaurant in downtown cheap???  Not if its in a sit down restaurant.  But the way I saw it, was that, If I ordered that somewhere else, I would pay the same for less...

I LIKEY LIKEY... Traffic sucks.... but that would be a whole different issue... Let's just stick with happy thoughts of yummy food...  (^_^)

The Brasserie
The Brasserie is a hidden gem in the Downtown Macy's plaza. It is underneath the stairwell and is a part of the Sheraton Hotel. It is an excellent buffet that features a pasta bar with chef (I love getting the fresh alfredo with lots of veggies, shrimp and no noodles). The general buffet bar usually has two types of meat and it changes daily. In general they have a chicken and beef dish like roasted chicken breast, fajita meat and spare ribs. As for the veggies, they have steamed veggies, different types of salad options and good side dishes. Their dessert is also amazing. They offer European cakes/ pastries as well as American dishes including warm cobbler. This is an excellent place for groups and my office generally goes to celebrate someone's birthday. Breakfast is from 6am - 11am. Lunch is served Mon. - Fri. from 11am - 2:30pm. Saturday - Sunday 6:30 am - 11 am. They don't take reservations, but there is always plenty of room. They offer 2 hrs. of validated parking. From what I have seen, pricing is about $15. They staff is very helpful and accommodating.

This place is just OK. Food was good but kinda boring. Pasta bar had enough choices. Salad bar was lacking. @ $20.00 for the buffet /w drink, I left unimpressed.

Wow,  one of the worst Buffets I have ever been to, the pasta bar was meh, the Buffet bar was not what I was expecting .  The Buffet bar had salad , dressing, steamed veggies, roasted potatoes, pork ribs which were pretty good, one dessert  some kind of bread pudding what a joke  all that for  $22, never again, I'd rather go to a cheap $8 buffet and  get food poisen

This place is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated.  i've had their custom pasta and it's really not impressive at all.  I am a novice in the kitchen and my pasta is 10 times better and tastier.  It's overpriced.  I dont mind paying alot if its worth it, but this place wasn't.  My coworkers like coming here, but clearly, they don't know any better because they dont get out much! Lol....

For phenomenal pasta, personally, i'd rather go to Bucca di Beppo or even Bottega Louie on 7th and Grand (in L.A.).

Five words:

THE PASTA BAR IS BAAAAAAACK!

A few more words:

They even brought back the same lady that was doing it before. The price for the buffet including the pasta bar is $14 (down for $16) and is well worth the price of admission. 5 stars and two thumbs up for the management at the Sheraton recognizing what the people want! And extra cool that they brought back the same lady that did the pasta before.

The freshly made pasta is amazing! The fruit and bread pudding is very good. Great for group luncheons. The service was wonderful also. Lunch is a bit pricey but worth it if you have enough time to eat.

I went to The Brasserie for the first time with some coworkers and I had an excellent time.  It's really an amazing place.  It's a bit hard to find - it's inside Macy's plaza but inside the Sheraton hotel therein.
The salad bar is really excellent - some of the best tuna I have tasted, as well as delicious veggies and also succulent meat with gravy.  The meat just melts in your mouth - it's so tender and juicy.  I went back and got half a plate more of just that meat.  The clam chowder soup is also excellent.
The big deal here is the pasta bar.  The pasta is cooked to perfection and you can choose whichever toppings you want - I personally went with sundried tomatoes, basil, garlic and onions over penne pasta that was smothered in a rich pesto sauce.  It was absolutely delicious.  Even though I was getting full, I ate every last bit of my food.
The service here is fantastic - they refilled our waters frequently and they were also patient about taking photos on several different cameras.
This place is as good as it gets in terms of salad and pasta bars.  I give it 5 enthusiastic stars.

I stopped here Tuesday when i went to Macy's plaza at downtown and read that they have $12.99 Asian buffet.  they have different buffet everyday
I just know for sure that For Tuesday its Asian Buffet. They also have a pasta bar included with the buffet Price. good deal if you have a hella good appetite for everything at once. I can say that they don't have that much variety of food selection in their buffet but i guess they go by the saying quality over quantity so it's worth a try the place is cozy good for a not so crowded lunch meeting if your office is just somewhere in downtown.  They have an ample selection of fruits and salad. Food is very good its worth a try..

I went on a Monday and it already closed around 9:00 PM.. they don't even serve buffet during dinner. I was misled on yelp thinking this was a buffet place but it actually is not at night. I asked the old lady and she said they only serve buffet for breakfast and lunch.

So no one else does the same mistake... no buffet at night! And the closing hours are wrong here. It says 2:30am and it closed around 9pm..

This restaurant is located in the Sheraton hotel downtown. I had breakfast there after I got in from an early morning flight. The service was extremely friendly and attentive.

I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, and really enjoyed it. The price was okay....maybe a little high, but I kind of expect that in a hotel.

I used to come to this Macy's a lot, but I finally got to try Sheraton's The Brasserie buffet recently.

We were sad that the custom pasta station was gone, BUT the manager said they're bringing it back!!  I'll have to stop by again when they do that.

I was hesitant with the size of the salad bar, but don't underestimate it.  The salad is fresh, the pasta salads are flavorful, the meat is well-marinated and cooked, the fish was tender with great sauce, and their clam chowder with garlic bread was delicious!

My favorite part was their BREAD PUDDING with VANILLA SAUCE.  Wow!  I'm not a big fan of bread pudding, but I was intrigued by their vanilla sauce, and that has forever changed my viewpoint.  Soft, warm, and creamy.  Great way to end the meal.

The service was very friendly and welcoming.  Just the type of service you want when you want to become a regular at a location.

TIP: Try them out, especially when the pasta bar comes back in February :)

The price is justified since it is located in an expensive hotel in DTLA, but I was surprised with all of these high reviews. I used to come here quite often and their soup and salad bar is good, but that's about it. Some of the other foods don't even appear to be fresh. They even had a hobo littering the buffet last time I went!

Plus, the ambiance is blah. Outdated and kind of boring. I even remember one time I overheard another customer saying that her mom's bread pudding was better. Do most of you not know how to cook? Cheesecake Factory has much better pasta, and that says a LOT.

Fat bellies about to combust from food overfullness!!!!

That's what happened at The Brasserie.

My coworkers and I were looking for a lunch buffet. Thank you Yelp for being here when I needed you and leading me to The Brasserie. The selection was somewhat limited but I love it. The pasta bar was the BEST THING EVER and we gorged until we died. We rolled fat butts back to work. We nursed our aching, bloated bellies. We had a good time.

Over priced garbage! You want to charge me $4 for a black crap coffee when Starbucks is 5 feet to the right? Not cool.

There was only us and one other group in there, it took close to 15 minutes to even get water. I had an orange juice and omelette and Steve had coffee and some breakfast dish, which took another insane amount of time and then our bill was $45. Are you kidding me?

I will not go back.

Just your typical overpriced, not great hotel diner. I was kind of forced to grab breakfast here on my last day in LA. I had a terrible experience at the hotel and the last thing I wanted to do was go to the restaurant.

I generally try to make healthy decision, hold the cheese, dressing on the side, etc. So I went with the egg white, tomato and spinach omelet that was listed on the menu. There were no additional descriptions to it, and why should there be? It pretty much laid out what was in the omelet on the menu. Then I get it and it's LOADED with cheddar cheese! Ok- 1. glad I can eat dairy and 2. glad I went to the gym that morning. So annoyed.

I will say that the server was very nice....but that's about it.

This place is simply amazingggggggggg!!!

Everything in the buffet is so good!! The Mac n Cheese, the salad, the ribs, the fried chicken, the cheese bread! EVERYTHING!!

I enjoyed the Pasta bar!! You can pick your own noodles, meat and anything else that you want on it, It was really fun and very tasty!! We came in around noon and I did notice that the line for the pasta bar was very long at times.

The bread pudding is to die for here!! Dont forget to put the vanilla cream sauce on top(it is inconveniently located by the fruit)

This place is a MUST TRY!!!!!!! I cannot wait to go back!

I graduated!! And I had my graduation reception here! :)

I don't think too many people know about this place, but it's actually really nice.

I first called to make reservations, not knowing that my dad had already made reservations the day before, and the hostess was attentive enough to ask if it was the same party because of similar time/party #. So off to an excellent start!

My reservation was at 12:45 but we got there super late because of all the traffic and photo taking after the ceremony, but everyone was still super nice and they didn't clean up right at 2 so that we could get more food. They had a small buffet bar, and then the pasta station, where you could pick and choose what you wanted and the lady would make it for you. The pasta was so delicious and the lady didn't skimp on anything!

Also, I loved that everyone there was so friendly. From the moment I walked in, they were all congratulating me. Enrique, our waiter, was so welcoming, as was the hostess and the pasta lady. This might sound crazy, but they almost felt like family! They were telling me how proud they were of me and how excited they were for me, and this was within the first twenty minutes of meeting and chatting with them.

I would definitely come here again! It's a hidden gem :)

Buffets are really not my thang, but they are a way to feed a number of people efficiently. I attended a retirement luncheon at The Brasserie, and other than the name there's not much French about it. It's pretty much your standard, beige, Continental-style buffet. Think of those buffets in Vegas, except this is just a portion of one of those. That being said, what they did have was pretty good. Not delicious, not the best thing I've ever eaten, but a perfect "A-OK". I had the chicken fajitas, and the meat was really juicy and not at all dried out. The salad was fresh. The re-fried beans were flavorful enough. A few of my friends had the pasta bar: one loved hers, the other was not impressed. The location, just outside the Sheraton on the lower level of Macy's Plaza in Downtown on 7th, is easily reached via DASH. The servers are nice. All in all, not a place I would rush back to, but if you're invited to a retirement party and you can eat for discount, I'd say give it a shot.

When the Buffet at the Wilshire Grand Hotel closed, i was sad.

I then found the Brasserie (Buffet) at the Sheraton Hotel. I have to say that it wasnt crowded at all. The options were a bit small, some not as appetizing as others, but apparently they change daily. I wasnt too impressed with the bread pudding everyone raves about with the sauce. The thing that sold me was the pasta bar! Tons of choices, mix and match, quick and easy!

I'm neither here nor there, but I'll be back to try more...

This restaurant is hidden inside the Macy's Plaza/Bottom level of the Sheraton hotel.  The lunch buffet is very limited in their selection: custom pasta bar, small salad bar, and small savoy food section, and one type of dessert.  The good thing is that they have a menu you can order from too so you're not forced to just pick the buffet.

The bad thing is, the food is pretty mediocre.  I've been here a few times for work purposes (staff lunch, etc.) and every time my boss mentions this spot for a quick casual lunch, I cringe.  The food is very bland and there's not enough selection in the buffet.   I would pass on coming here.

Overpriced, very limited options. If you have no choice and have to come here for whatever reason, just make sure you go on a Thursday when they have ribs. They  have a good selection of cold salads, but other than that, there were like two or three meat options, a small salad bar, a pasta bar (but really, how much pasta can you eat)?. I came for a work retirement lunch with about 20 people and it was $22/person (including tax/tip).

First of all, the staff, especially Sylvia Stumph, was awesome.  Sylvia made us feel so welcome, told us of the different foods they have throughout the week and they were all quick with the drink refills.  (I didn't get her manager's name, but he also had great customer service, as well as the other gentleman who helped her with the drink orders).

I wish I had seen the pasta bar FIRST before I hit the other salad bar.  The pasta was delicious!  It was made to order and I couldn't get enough of it.

Overall, our office's experience was great!
