this is for the lounge only. dope venue. like the hotel, love the lounge. very very cozy, intimate and awesome decor. crowd is classy and very stylish. a bit older crowd, you won't find drunken idiots here. mad swag. plenty of seats and heat lamps. bartenders are nice, reasonably priced drinks but the parking sucks. but what do you expect, it's hollywood. we paid 25$ for parking across the street. i will definitely be back.

Our son treated us to a night at the Redbury and we LOVED our stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, always asking if we needed anything. Our room was well appointed, great bed (which isn't always true in a hotel or Inn) and beautifully decorated. We ate dinner at Cleo, the restaurant in the hotel and the food was fabulous. We will definitely come back to this place again!

This hotel was awesome.  The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. The rooms were so lavish and and comfortable.  The hotel is warm and inviting and in a great location.  We were literally ten to fifteen minutes from a lot of cool stuff including universal studios.  I would definitely stay here again and recommend this to everyone especially any couples whom want to get away.

I literally "ooooh"-ed when I entered my room here. So spacious! And beautifully decorated. I specifically chose this place because I needed a large room to shoot an interview in. But I was blown away by the whole Redbury experience ... especially the in-room vinyl record player. I was in a 1-bedroom (got a complimentary upgrade), and it was HUGE! My NYC apartment is probably smaller. The other pluses: quiet (I was on the back side of the hotel), location close to a fabulous restaurant (Wood & Vine), proximity to Trader Joe's for shoot supplies (water, finger foods), and the 5a wakeup call I needed. I will definitely be back.

I have stayed at numerous hotels in Hollywood, but this was by far the best hotel in Hollywood. The room was very spacious (800 square feet) compared to about 400 square feet at other hotels. The rooms decor was gorgeous, the TV has REAL cable, great views, nice size balcony with drapes for privacy, in the middle of everything, and very polite / amazing professional staff (bellman, valet, front desk, concierge). This is my new favorite Hotel and will be staying there many more times to come!

Great, old Hollywood hotel.  But it has noisy neighbors.  If you're a light sleeper you should stay away.  We always got in late, so falling asleep was no problem.

Got a room here last weekend.  It was perfect!  The service was awesome and the whole place had a cool vibe.  A lot of hotels look cool in the lobby by the rooms are nothing special.  These rooms were really nice and unique!  Great showers...lots of space...perfect area for hosting a small party before walking out to the bars!  In close walking distance to some good bars.  I had about 10 people there and there would have been room for more.  Everyone was impressed with the place and we had so much fun:)  Loved the stylish room, the balcony, the location, and the staff.

What a beautiful hotel with so much personality and charm!  I love the chesterfield sofas in the room, all the framed art above the bed, the milk glass goblets for water, and even a record player in the room. The color palette is so inviting.  The room is a mini apartment with everything meticulously designed.  Love, love, love.

Must say that this is such a cute hotel.. Of course, it's a part of the SBE. Love how the door guy was SO welcoming upon our arrival. Can't really say much about the view since all we saw was our parking lot. However, the staff there was SUPER nice. AND the food at CLEO as DELICIOUS!!!

I would give this place no stars if I could, but since I am required to give at least one star there it is.  At a glimpse this place looks like an execellent buy for the size and chic decor.  I got this room for my girlfriend for her birthday.  I paid around $450 for the Hollywood Flat.  For the price you couldn't find a bigger or nicer place around the Hollywood area.  I thought I was getting a steal that was until I saw the price it cost for the overnight parking.  On top of that I was never given a invoice for my stay there.  I was told that this would be emailed to me.  A month later I finally look at my credit card statement to find out that they charged me $200 because it took the maids over an hour to clean the room and and extra $20 for drinks I didn't even touch from their refrigerator.  How could they charge almost half the cost of a one night stay at the hotel just for cleaning?  What kind of maids cost $200 an hour?  We left the place the same as any hotel.  It wasn't anything out of the ordinary.  We had a few cups on the table, some take out food bags on the kitchen counter and like most hotels I didn't bother to make the bed when I woke up.  I would caution everyone to think twice about staying here.  They have so many hidden fees by the end of your stay it would cost as much as the same size room at the Roosevelt just down the street.  I have stayed at both and for that price the Roosevelt is defintely a better bargain for your money.  We had a party last time I was there and left the room trashed and I still wasn't charge this ridiculous $200 cleaning fee.  Stay away from the Redbury!

We stayed in a suite and... I absolutely loved this place, I wish I lived here. It is modern vintage, with a spacious living room and a kitchen that includes a stove, refrigerator, and microwave. A nice patio/balcony to enjoy the views (if you have one).  There are large windows, high ceilings... and a record player with a variety of records to enjoy. I loved almost everything about this hotel room. The only thing I would change is the sink in the bathroom. The suite at this hotel is perfect for a small group of friends to stay in and create new memories.

I stayed here with a couple girlfriends for a bachelorette party not too long ago.  When we first got there we were thrown off by the nice décor and ambiance.  When I started playing with the record player I noticed that some of the records were broken in their cases.  I quickly called the front desk to inform them of this and they told me not to worry that I would not be charged for this.  When my credit card statement finally came what do you know the cost of the records ($100) and a cleaning charge of $200 was on my bill.  We had a decent size party, but respectfully cleaned everything up when we were done.  I was enraged and felt scammed.  After our stay we told all our friends about the wonderful time we had and recommended the place to almost all of our friends.  We never thought we were getting screwed by the Redbury in the process.  I quickly called the Redbury to ask them about the unauthorized charges to my account and they told me that they have no record of me reporting the broken records.  The $200 I was told were cleaning charges for anything taking the maids over an hour and half to clean.  I have never been in a hotel that charges a cleaning fee.  We literally left the place in almost the same shape as when we entered.  The only thing out of the ordinary were the dirty towels we left on the bathroom counter and some dirty dishes in the sink.  I would not recommend this place to my anyone.  Save your money and stay at a more established hotel.

Stayed here in mid-September, 2011.  A great place.  We enjoyed the ambience and space.  It was more like a condo than a hotel.  The staff, especially the front desk - which is on the second floor - were all outstanding.  We chose it for its location in the middle of Hollywood but would stay there again just because it is cool.  However,if you are allergic to any shade of red, stay away.  We didn't know you could do so much so well just using various shades of the red spectrum.

This hotel is awesome.!!! It's beautiful and everyone who works here seems like they are very proud of it... We stayed here for our anniversary and it was the best choice it was like staying at a really cool apartment...not like a traditional hotel room!! The decor is amazing it's a great eclectic blend of modern, bohemian, and old Hollywood. From the first call to make a reservation they were extremely helpful TJ especially and when we checked in they surprised us with a room upgrade to the top floor and a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary!!! And the smell of the hotel I wanna have it all through my house I need to find out how to get that air freshner it's a signature scent they have cause all the soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotion all smell this way it's a great touch!! The room is huge and very comfy and the bed was like a cloud. I love that the tv swivels, you can practically watch tv from anywhere except the bathroom even on the patio you can watch it just by looking in the awesome living room  mirror... We never left our room when we checked in we were having soo much fun just relaxing in the room there's a record player with a few records, a Bluray/DVD player, and an iPod dock. We ordered in katsuya and delivery was quick... I really loved this hotel and can not wait to stay again ... Ohh and we got our room at the AAA price... So for us it was a bargain!! Thank you guys for such a great stay!! And I'm telling all my friends to check u out!!

This is my first Yelp review. I've used Yelp reviews for a long time to make my decisions on many different businesses, but no single experience made me take out the time to go and write a review - until The Redbury!

I came across The Redbury while looking for a hotel close to Avalon nightclub, which my friends and I were going to celebrate my birthday. It came out to be the closest, and looking at its website and pictures, I immediately knew I wanted to stay there.

The hotel is located at an older building that got renovated very stylishly. It is a perfect blend of old vintage with luxury modern. There is a red theme throughout the hotel that gives its unique ambiance. The impeccable interior decor is complemented with retro pictures in the hallways, and old-fashioned brown leather couches close to the elevators. One can immediately see the touch of a very talented interior designer before even getting to the room.

Inside the rooms is a whole different story. First of all - the rooms are huge! We had the smallest room type, but even that was around 750 sq ft! It was basically a suite. It had a big kitchen with a long counter-high table that could seat 5 people on each side if needed! Then there was a whole living room area that featured a nice couch, couple of chairs, and a coffee table. The room was so big that we were able to pre-party with 12 people comfortably before going to the club.

Again, the interior design and attention to detail was unmatched. Everything in the room was high quality. Although we did not enjoy, there were all sorts of different and hard to find liqueurs provided in the kitchen. In the bathroom, they had the best skin care products (again, did not get a chance to touch on that night of heavy partying!). The suite had all the appliances - even a washer and dryer - in the same machine! There was also an old-fashioned turntable, and some vinyl records, that blended perfectly the whole vintage ambiance. We played some vinyl records for our preparty. All in all, it was a truly unique suite, full of character and functionality at the same time.

Lastly, what has impressed me the most about this hotel is the ultimate old-fashioned customer service - from the moment we checked in, until the moment we checked out and after. Here is an example: I had a problem of not having secured a restaurant reservation for my birthday dinner by 5pm, that's 3 hours before dinner! (Cleo was already fully-booked). That is A PROBLEM when you're looking for a chic place that can accomodate 12 people on a busy Saturday night! I went to the reception to ask for restaurant recommendations in the walking distance. TJ, the receptionist who also handled my check-in, provided me with two recommendations in a very short time, and printed out their menus for me and my friend to take a look. While we were still in the process of looking and deciding, he called up both places just to make sure they have availability. Luckily, one of them had an availability in a lounge area. We decided to go with that place, and he called again and completed the reservation. The restaurant (which is Magnolia on Sunset) turned out to be the best I could have asked for!! Another example of great customer service came after I left the hotel - I realized I left a piece of garment in the room, for which I called the night of the day I checked out. It was again TJ who answered the phone, and he told me that they will store my left item for my pick up within 30 days. Very nice!!

All in all, my stay in The Redbury has been one of my best hotel stays of my life. This hotel has unique character, great ambiance, high quality, prime location, and impeccable customer service. I will definitely be back!!!

Second time staying here.... Same as the first time... 5 stars. Huge room, soft bed, nice shower and full size kitchen. I was staying here for a little vacation and to meet some friends at Drais Nightclub at the W hotel. This place was seriously like staying in a nice studio apartment. I will definitely be back again next time i'm in Hollywood.

What an amazing place! I could easily live in the room we stayed in. Between the decor and all of the little extra touches we were in heaven. The staff was awesome and very accommodating. This isn't a review so much of The Redbury, as I've never actually gotten to stay there, but of how they interact with Luxury Link, the site where I bought a package to stay at The Redbury.  I called the hotel to make sure there was availability before making the bid.  I won the auction 5 hours later.  When I tried to reserve dates, I was told those dates were full.  The package is supposed to be used in the next four months, but the dates The Redbury gave as available are only in Sept. and Oct. and only mid week, or only one night (the package i bought is for two nights.)  This is a total scam, as the available dates should be made available before buying the package, and obviously two nights should be available.    Spent hundreds of dollars and can't use this package.  Shame on both The Redbury and Luxury Link for setting up such a losing situation.

To be honest, the hotel is beautiful, the staff was polite and helpful, and the bed comfortable.

My complaint was the noise. I stayed on the 3rd floor and if it wasn't a party on the second floor then it was the club next door. 2 out of 4 nights there was music blasting till 2 am.   Sadly despite how cool the place was I would never stay here again.

The Redbury is less than 2 miles from my house, so I used Halloween weekend as an excuse to stay there. I was glad that I did, as the previous reviews are accurate about the size, design and the luxury of the rooms. It is really quite awesome.

There are still some rough edges, though. The main TV remote did not work, and so I had to ask an employee for help. It turns out that it was not even the correct remote for the TV, and when the right one was brought to the room, it took a hotel employee ten minutes to figure out. There was a wall socket in the kitchen that was exposed (without a cover plate). One of the recessed bathroom lights did not work. The lighting in the actual toilet area is all but nonexistent - so if you close the door, the feeling is like being in a dark outhouse.

Finally...when I checked in, I noticed an $8 bottle of water in the living room (on a tray with glasses). It was completely empty - with the cap put back on. Having a bad feeling about how this would turn out, I actually went to the front desk and told them about it.  But it was never replaced. Sure enough...a week later, I checked my credit card statement and there was an extra charge. They had billed me for not only the water, but also for a Coke I had not consumed. It left me feeling very sour about the service. For $300/night, I do not expect to be back-doored with invalid minibar charges.

Hopefully, they'll continue to improve their attention to detail and service, because it really is a cool place.

Decided to stay here for a few days instead of at the W around the corner. I give it 4 stars because the economy suites are bigger than my apartment in NYC. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel except to sleep, but the entire ambiance is awesome. However, having a room next to Avalon and having wait a 1/2 hour for a cab to the airport gets a 1 star deduction. Also, if you can't get a table at Cleo, go right across the street to Lexington Social House, where you won't be disappointed.

This is my favorite hotel in Hollywood!! the rooms are kick ass cool! they have turn tables in every room and the decor, the decor, well it's just fabulous! It's like staying at a downtown loft  they are huge! complete with a kitchen, living area a closet with washer and dryer and a bathroom that's as big as a bedroom in my home. Did I mention the snacks? the coctail mixes? the prices?!?! I couldn't believe how reasonable the snack prices are! so worth it especially when you don't want to go out but feel like a midnight snack, these prices won't brake the piggy bank

To check in you have to go to the 2nd. floor they don't have a real lobby but no biggie! The service was outstanding so good that we're coming back this Friday!

Katsuya is literally a 1/2 block away but they have their own restaurant  Cleo, which I hear is to die for. Hubby and I will be trying it this Friday when we stay here again!

Let me start out by saying this hotel does not need my review - they do plenty fine on their own but I feel compelled to say something because this place is so over the top excellent.  We are not super rich or connected or in any way special; hell, were not even that good looking. Were originally from the midwest so kind of nice but I've got to think Redbury must treat everyone as damn good as they treated us regardless. The place is gorgeous and they've thought of everything in the rooms. Seriously. We travel a lot and from the black out curtains to the thoughtful dimmers on every light, it is perfect. I like the extra large rooms, smart TV, old time record player, full modern kitchen, private biffy, loft aesthetic and rain shower with everything immaculate. Cleo's is great, room service impeccable and The Library bar a guaranteed good time. I could go on and on because they have thought of and anticipated every need, but the best part is the staff.  Unbelievable welcoming accommodating smart nice people with zero attitude. I mean, that's hard to find anywhere but in LA???!! I genuinely liked and appreciated every single employee of the Redbury I met and miraculously felt liked and appreciated in return. How often does that happen in any hotel but again, in LA???!! The Redbury understands the concept of welcoming hospitality and excellent, seamless service. Whoever trained the staff needs a big fat raise. Yeah, I'm gonna name names:Victor, Keith, Edwin, Nate, all the drivers in valet and shuttle, and the guy we woke up who served us up an unbelievable room service spread at the ungodly hour of 7 AM ( which explains why I spaced your name, sorry). Thank you all for one of the most enjoyable stays we've ever had anywhere. You are now officially our favorite hotel in LA.

Ooohhweee did we feel high class staying here!  Mama we movin' up in the world!  The Redbury is a flat out 5 star experience that caters to your every need - from restaurant and nightlife accommodations and recommendations, to even a friendly and helpful parking staff.  The decor of each room is chic, classy and truly Hollywood.  One minor complaint - GET SOME LOCKS ON THE BATHROOM DOORS.  But that was just a minor blemish in an otherwise sterling experience here at The Redbury.  Everything about this place screamed indulgence but hey, that's what you should expect if you're looking to have a good time right smack in the middle of Hollywood & Vine.

I wasn't actually a guest at this hotel but I was assisting for a bridal party here at The Redbury. The decor in this hotel definitely aligns with my taste. The feel of The Redbury is very eccentric, lively, bold, vintage modern, and of course...very red.

This hotel is different from the norm because it strays away from conformity by creating a different yet complimentary feel within the main rooms such as the bar, the conference room/library, the concierge, etc. There's so much to look at in this hotel. It's great!

Definitely stay here if you want to try somewhere new in LA!

Although I gotta warn ya the entrance of this hotel is easy to miss!

The Redbury Rocks!  We stayed one night to go to aerosmith concert at the hollywood bowl.  I found it on the internet and had no idea what a score I had made.

Huge suite with balcony, full mini bar selection, which was nice cuz it seems like the stocked mini bar is hard to find these days.  We were psyched for concert and double psyched when we opened the door to our room!!!!  Immediately opened mini bar bottle of wine, put some vinyl on the record player and cheered to our very fortunate situation!!

Staff was super nice - absolutely genuine - none of the bullsh** LA attitude even though we are total goober tourists - thank you!!

only downside is the water pressure in shower.  pump up the volume

Got the 850 sqft suite...

Paid about $450/night.
Huge room with 2 TV's, full kitchen, bed, sofabed, patio.
Can fit alot of people easily (we had 11 people on our visit), but a person showering is exposed to all.

This hotel and it's decorations are different from ordinary, a rock star theme.

Price was high for valet - $37 for a full day with unlimited ins and outs.

Staff was friendly and let us do our own thing.

Elevators require a room key to go up. Added security for the guests.

You can stay here and walk to all the good spots in Hollywood, including the walk of fame.

I came here for work and had the BEST time ever!  Previously I was a W fan but now I am a forever Redbury faithful!

The staff, Ellis as well as others, helped me with everything and anything I needed to know about the rooms, food and Hollywood.  If I had my way I would just live there permanently!

Never have I stayed in a place with it's own washer and drier!  That alone was enough for me to be the happiest girl on the planet!

My ONLY complaints about this hotel is that A, there are not more of them and B, that their front staff has to wear the same outfits.  Let them be fully self expressed.  They are amazing people.... trust that they will dress well ;)

This place is beautiful! We had a bachelorette party here and enjoyed our stay. Only thing is that the gym was a few blocks away to get there and there was no pool :( we still had a nice stay and nobody complained when we were too loud either.

Decor super nice and the maid did an awesome job cleaning our room!

Valet parking is really expensive, 37 per night so be prepared.

It was close to lots of cool places.

This place is great!

I stayed here with 4 other friends for NYE and it was the perfect spot for us. We wanted to be within walking distance of The Henry Fonda, so this helped us narrow our search considerably. If you're trying to find a hotel for a night out in LA, I highly recommend this spot.

The rooms were really trendy (not fancy and stiff), had a huge kitchen and bar for food/drinks, a couch for sleeping (they also brought up a cot for our 4th) and the master bed was sooo comfortable! I wish I had stayed to use it, but they also had a combo washer/dryer in the room.

Only downfall is that overnight parking is not included in your hotel rate ($33/night) and apparently you can hear music through the walls if you stay on north side of the hotel (attached to Avalon) we stayed on the east side, so we slept soundly.

Something interesting to note too is that (at least the room we stayed in) had a frosted glass wall on the shower. You can't see details, but you can see a naked person through it. The belhop mentioned some groups (guess they weren't that great a friends after all) had to check out because they couldn't get past that. I didn't think it was too bad (not like the Standard where its straight up clear glass) we just sat in the main room when people showered.

The Redbury is the place stay when visiting Los Angeles. The location, staff, rooms, everything -- It's perfection.

The rooms are so well designed and decorated. I was seriously taking notes so I can get my place to resemble our room. Did I mention we got a complimentary upgrade? Now that's faboosh.

It's not pretentious or stuffy, and has a really laid back/chill vibe, albeit still swanky. The staff is great (TJ and Jeff were rad). Super friendly, helpful, descriptive. You name it. It's the little things that make this place so awesome: the lotion is amazing (no seriously, best ever) and the record player! It's a wonderful, eclectic little hotel. One I definitely plan on returning to.

Great room, clean room too! The record player is probably the coolest thing in the room and awesome if you are there for a romantic getaway. Having a kitchen doesn't hurt either. The only downside was how dark the room was and if you are staying on floor #2 just know that there isn't much a view at all. In fact our room had no view which was a bit disappointing considering we rarely get up to Hollywood.

We rented a 2 bedroom suite for a bacherlorette party...what an awesome weekend, everyone had such a great time!  Great service, beautiful decor, loved the restaurant, The Cleo, the staff were professional and very kind.

The only reason I yelped 4 stars is because Valet was ridiculously expensive.

Went here last night for a cocktail hour in the 2nd floor Library with my colleagues.  It's an awesome space and great decor and has a beautiful patio for a warm summer's night.

We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed the light appetizers, which included sliders and spicy shrimp along with a delicious flatbread.  The staff was also very friendly.  I would definitely go back!

Great hotel with an ambiance of vintage groove. The room includes a kitchenette, stand up glass showers that silhouettes your body from the view of the bed, patio overlooking down the outdoor patio lounge area. My favorite is the old school record player with vintage classic groove vinyl records that is in the room.

In the heart of Hollywood and a pricey vintage environment can attract the stylists alike which will be a good time in your room!

The Redbury Hotel in Hollywood prompted me to join Yelp so I could share, as others have, how wonderful this hotel is.  I have not yet left the hotel and have spent the better portion of my day in the room reading.  As a mom who rarely gets time to herself, being here at this hotel has been an absolute dream.  I am here on business (day off today) and despite that, I feel completely on vacation and yet, at home.  The room is amazing, the beds wonderfully comfortable, the shower is to perfection.  Having a kitchen where I can make a cup of coffee, keep some yogurt and fruit makes the business traveler feel human.  And in a city so bleeding of cool, I feel like one of them - except my apartment here at The Redbury is likely better than most.

The rates are almost out of whack with how great the hotel is.  And with a Trader Joe's down the street, my boss will undoubtedly appreciate that instead of expensive meals on my expense report, I have one grocery bill.

Can't wait to come back.  The Redbury is my new home away from home.

One confession:  when I read all the reviews, I was a bit fearful of a hotel where I could not enjoy some private anonymity.  I was nervous that it was so "like home" that I would feel a little indebted to my hosts and co-travelers (as one feels at The Ace in a great way).  Let me assure you, this room has been a safe-haven.  I asked for a quiet room...I received an upgrade at no additional charge to a private room at what I think is the back of the hotel.

I don't want to leave here and am already re-thinking the design of my bedroom at home.

This place is awful.  It has a terrible smell that made all the clothes in my suitcase have to be washed & re-dry cleaned.
The front desk is incompetent.  They posted misc charges to my bill which took 8 phone calls to have taken off.
As for the room, its big and has a cool art deco, however, everything is dark and black so you cant actually see the dirt or stains.
Water pressure in the shower is useless.  took 30 minutes to get the soap off.
Dont stay here.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Central location. Little touches are nice. Played record player whole time we were there. Loved the balcony, except we were right next to Club Avalon. Very loud club goes off until 6 in the morn. This is a party destination hotel, not a relaxation one. We were in party mode, so this was one of my more memorable hotel experiences. Library bar was nice and chill. Good place to have a drink.

Do you know if they are leasing as apartments or they're selling!?! If they are I wouldn't mind living here.

I was trying to find a place to stay in Hollywood for my bday since my friends and I didn't want to be DDs. Since my bday "party" was at Drais (around the corner across the street), I was trying to find something at the W but found Redbury instead since the cost of staying at the W (king size bed small room) was almost the same or cheaper at the Redbury with a king size bed, kitchen, and living room. Plus, they were out of doubles on that day. Thank you for the W being booked or I wouldn't have found this place! :)

There was actually three of us. I don't think the Redbury have doubles? but the king size bed was perfectly fine unless you have a fourth person or fifth, and they can probably sleep on the couch? lol.

In addition, the place was perfect as I had my pre-party and after-party back at the hotel. I wanted my group to meet up at the hotel so we can go together to Drais. Surprisingly, no one came up to check up on us since we were pretty loud. Maybe the Front Desk knew we were going to have people over since I asked him about the guestlist on the clubs around Hollywood. So he might have put us in the back corner some where with no other guests around.

Interesting facts:
1. They have an old record player and they have vinyls that they are selling
2. The bathroom has no door. There's a curtain that separates the space between the vanity and shower. The wall between the shower and the bedroom is frosted, so you can still still the silohuette of the person who's in there.
3. I guess the only bad thing about this place is it kind of smells. Can't really describe it but we opened the windows and it was somewhat gone..not sure if it was a strong perfume smell...

Celebrated one of my friend's birthday here in one of their suites, and it was a really cool place to enjoy a vintage hollywood feel. The hotel is made up of condo like rooms- ours had two bedroom/bathrooms, a lounge area with sofa and big screen t.v., kitchen area with a long work island and a patio overlooking hollywood/vine. The hotel has two restaurants downstairs- Cleo and Katsuya. They had an oldschool record player with some records, including some Beastie Boys! We hooked up an ipod, poured many drinks, cleared the floor a bit, and pretty much had our own little club lounge. They even had a pole, but to keep it classy, it's attached to the table rather than just a pole in the middle of the room...

This was a destination trip with friends and I wanted to make an impression. I looked at The SLS, The Wilshire and The Beverly Hills Hotel. They were all $900 per night plus. I had a sudden fit of frugality and felt the urge to go a cheaper route. The Redbury was the only nice, non-chain hotel on my list so I pulled the trigger. The verdict, I'd stay here every time and would recommend it to anyone.

It was $265 per night and we felt like we stole something!

It may be lacking in some amenities (i.e. Spa, workout facility, pool) but we got a good dose of charm, funky and cool!

It is a renovated condominium project so there are some aspects that are more efficiency apartment than hotel but what it lacked in functionality it made up for in charm. How many hotels have you been to that have a vinyl record player with old vinyl records you can play while you're hanging out or getting ready?

I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for something different and cool.

Smiley face and a star (especially for the money)

Stayed in the 2 bedroom signature flat for a bachelor party and it was perfect. Tons of open space, balcony, two large beds and bathrooms, and it felt much more comfortable and "home like" than a typical hotel.

Staff was extremely friendly and the unique touches (including the record player and records that everyone mentions) make it stand out and feel like you're worlds away from Hollywood. The location is perfect for when you do want to hit the town and the only downside was the expensive valet parking (it is Hollywood though).

Didn't eat at Cleo, but the bar was fantastic. Highly recommend staying here especially if you like trying different things.

We stayed here for our anniversary. The regular "suite" was a huge room. The decor and the detail in the room was amazing. The price was very reasonable thru AAA.

One small warning: We stayed on the AVALON side of the building and the club went on until 6:15am that morning....

Somehow I was not aware of this hotel prior to my stay, but WOW, what a great place! I am a huge fan.

First, the location at Hollywood and Vine is great: close to the 101 and with the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame's stars right in front you immediately get the fact that you are in Hollywood (tip, James Dean is just a few stars from the front door). Also across the street is the iconic Capitol Records building, and just i the distance the Hollywood Tower Hotel which is the inspiration for Disney's Tower of Terror ride.  Just a cool vibe and you have not even entered the hotel.

Inside, the cool factor is immediately bumped up a few levels.  The Cleo restaurant/bar is right inside and typically busy. Did not have a chance to try them but I was told it is excellent.  Once finding my room I was blown away by the loft apartment feel, spaciousness, and decor. Very hip, functional (kitchen, living room, large LCD/plasma that can swivel 360 and be viewed anywhere).  The photography throughout is very different and gives you the Hollywood feel without being pretentious.  And my room overlooked the courtyard which doubles as Cleo's outdoor bar complete with pool table, heat lamps, and live music.  The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.  The hotel even has their own app which lets you find what you need via your phone. Too cool!

I am looking forward to my next visit.

Room was posh with all the amenities you can ask for such as stainless steel fridge , Washer and dryer a nice balcony overlooking straight across the iconic Hollywood Tower records building ,huge living space.did I say a ride to the Hollywood bowl using their complimentary BMW five series. Shame on me for taking this long to Yelp about this place.  I popped out to LA for personal reaons last July, and scored a discount at The Redbury at the last minute.  Well, I don't want to stay anywhere else if I make it back to LA again!  This place is FABULOUS!  The room was larger than a lot of NYC apartments, the bed was insanely comfy, the shower was a roomy wonder, and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.  It's a beautiful property and I was made to feel right at home.  I was told there is a Redbury opening in NYC - I hope it's every bit as lovely as their LA one!

I don't get it. Did I miss something? The Redbury is clearly old condos that were made into a hotel, which is fine, and although they have kitchen, there's still only a hot plate (seriously, a hot plate) and a mini-fridge. The room was stuffy with bad ventilation, and smelled like there had been a fire inside of it recently.

The "super cute" record player didn't work.

There was no door to the bathroom, so whenever anyone had to pee the rest of us had to go on the balcony, and when we called the restaurant, Cleo, to order room service, apparently the menu WE had in our ROOM was out of date, and the fuckwit, er, possibly developmentally disabled hostess seemed to imply that that was our fault. We then requested some kind of appetizer plate, as that was what we initially tried to order, and she couldn't seem to grasp her mind around that without has having the official menu and giving her the official title of whatever the fuck we wanted.

she says she is going to send up a menu.

An hour and a half later...

Fast forward to the next day: we go to the Library Bar, very posh, but immediately were asked if we were guests or not, before we were even greeted. We were, but sheesh! What do they do to the people who aren't'? And it's not like we rolled up in hoodies and sweatpants. Anyway.

The food and drinks at that bar were phenom. Not sure if the food was from Cleo, as by the time the menu arrived the night before the kitchen had closed. (Yeah.)

Had the goat cheese pizza, several drinks that involved fresh fruit, and hummus/pita bread. All delicious. Our hostess was very unpleasant and pushy, however. And she looked like a squirrel. Maybe that's why she was unpleasant and pushy.

The decor is cute, but as far as quality goes it's questionable. Better off staying at the W up the block.

This hotel is truly a gem in Hollywood. The decor is bohemian and very "hollywood". The suites or "flats" are spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We booked a "highland" flat and I requested in the comments section of the reservation that I needed a room with a lots of natural light (for photos) and upon check in was upgraded to a "sunset" flat which provided more direct natural light. The staff was very courteous and helpful, especially when we had to push back the date and overall the stay was pleasant and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to come back here and would recommend anyone making a day trip up to LA/Hollywood to check this place out, easily the coolest hotel in the southland.

This is a very biased review because I really wanted to like this hotel.  The strength of this hotel is the decor is very bohemian-Paris, retro-chic.  It has amazing character, with great lobbies on every floor and very tre-cool rooms, every one a suite.  I got the cheapest $200/night room.  It is even cheaper if you use a promotion code from Amoeba Music (hint, it's the name of Amoeba music, minus the music).

It has a great sitting area with amazing furniture.  Great bed and decor.  There's a cool little record player and some old school records from the 50s (think Mancini), 60s, 70s and 80s (Bobby Brown? Dang)!   One hint, go to the nearby Trader Joes and buy a bottle of Evian for $2 instead of ponying up the $8 for the bottle sitting in the room.

I didn't go to the restaurant nor did I get room service, but I did go to the Drais down the block at the W hotel, it was walking distance!  In fact, Amoeba Music was walking distance.  Tons of things are walking distance.

So why 2 stars?  There is only one person at the front desk answering all the phones and taking care of arriving customers.  I had to stand and wait everytime I walked to the counter.

I arrived at 3pm, and my room isn't ready.  I leave and return at 5pm, my room is still not ready.  That's pretty unusual for a hotel not to have a room ready by 5pm!  Why did it take so long?  The shower drain was clogged with clumps of hair.  I had to pull it out myself, that is enough of a deal breaker for many people to just check out at this point and call it quits.

The valet parking is $37/night.  The internet is $10/day.  They erroneously charged $590 to my room for room service and it took nearly 5 hours to resolve it via phone after I left.  I called the room service repeatedly and sat on the phone for several minutes and nobody picked up.  No room service for me, at 9am on Saturday morning.

They didn't mention that the courtyard rooms face the lounge downstairs.  I got a top floor (5th floor) room and it overlooked the courtyards.  I don't know what time they shut that place down, but at midnight it was blasting techno-lounge-jazz tunes and the conversation was in full swing and it was nearly impossible to sleep.  Granted it was Friday and Saturday night when I was there.

I really wanted to fall in love with the ecletic decor, but the seemingly amateur service was just not up to par.  I had better service at the Sofitel and will likely go back there next time.

Everything about this place is totally PIMP!  The service, the rooms, the bar and the restaurant (CLEO) were all amazing.

Stayed here for a week back in February with the wife while she was on sales calls.  The room was super comfy and we had a great view of the Hollywood sign and the Capitol Records building right from our little balcony.  The rooms are outfitted with kitchens and kitchy decor to boot!  Great product in the bathroom and some grooming items for men and women for purchase too.

The place has an overall great vibe and a fun crowd that hangs there.  Definitely check it out for your next stay in LA.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel and at first I thought it was a little on the pricey end.

When you get past that, this place is the most amazing hotel I've stayed at.   The rooms were like a mini studio that if you could, you'd definitely buy it.

Above all is else.  The service was impeccable. Everyone was so nice and helpful.  They make every effort to make you feel comfortable and happy.  They were telling us about the hot spots, where to eat, and when we got back...they would ask us how it was.  As if you knew them for a long time.

If you're thinking about staying fairly close to Hollywood, this is the place to stay.  I highly recommend it mostly for couples as both of you will enjoy the room and the hospitality.

Chose this hotel to host and celebrate my b-day and what a terrific choice I have made ! all my guests left being impressed by the hotel and everyone had such a lovely time... I chose the sunset suite which was located on the first floor and my patio leads to the courtyard as I requested to have this room in advance so that 20 of my guests are free to walk around the courtyard and the library bar.

The only downfall to my stay was that I was a little dissapointed that they didn't throw like a  free something for my birthday stay (a bottle of champagne maybe for paying over $300 a night lol) and the fact that the library was closed for a private party so me and my guests are not allowed to go in. however, I had a marvelous time. the courtyard was lid w lights and heat lamps was provided it was so beautiful and the service from every staff there was exceptional. I felt so welcomed there. I also brought in a huge a birthday cake and the receptionist offered to put it in the hotel restaurant fridge and I was told to just come over to the front desk whenever I'm ready and he will bring it up ...

Overall, I love this hotel! this hotel is not like any other hotels, it actually has personality, unique decor, and cool and trendy atmosphere. all my friends have never been to this hotel and they absolutely love it and will definitely be returning to dine and drink there ! the room is absolutely lovely ! I love everything about this hotel I wish I could live there :)

The Redbury is a quaint boutique hotel smack dab in the middle of Hollywood. My gals and I stayed there for a weekend girls gettaway. We had the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with living room, kitchen and balcony. With a rollaway & couch 8 of us fit comfortably. The decor is hip and trendy.... you can tell it was a remodel and not a brand spanking new building....but that's okay.

The front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful and whenever I needed to call the front desk for anything, it was brought up right away. You feel like everyone gets to know you during your stay. When the manager came up to our room to have us sign the "no-party clause" he was very welcoming and reminded me to check-out and visit the library bar downstairs that night. (which we did... very nice and chill)

I was disappointed that the bathrooms were so dark and the hallways were hot.... I was expecting the AC to be on full blast in the entire hotel, we are in a heat wave people!!!

Valet parking was ridiculous!! $37 per car! (however, valet did work very fast)

The room was so comfortable , after dinner we just stayed in and chilled in our room and watched all of the usual Hollywood Saturday night drama play out from our balcony and later some of us ran outside  for a taco and ghetto dog in the wee hours of the morning.

If you want to be in Hollywood, the location can't be beat as many clubs and bars are in walking distance and there is a Starbucks within walking distance as well. A variety of records and a record player was a nice touch....it was great to hear some music on authentic vinyl.

The hotel room was super cool and very affordable. I had a 2 bedroom suite with what appeared to be a stripper pole on the table and a pretty cool record player with a bunch of old vinyl records.  The staff was very helpful and brought me a toothbrush and toothpaste and a bunch of other stuff that I forgot to bring (imprompto stay).  They also charged my phone at the front desk

Valet here is very nice but bring cash because you cannot sign your valet bill to the room nor can you pay with any sort of card.

Avoid the Library ... waste of time bar and the crowd is horrible.  They have a sexy appeal with pool tables and some other unique stuff however its not appealing with some fat orca whale of a girl eating her birthday cake sitting on it.

Hands down the best hotel i've ever stay at - period. I travel a decent amount for work so i've been to a lot of hotels, and in my journeys, none have matched The Redbury. I'm so fucking impressed with this hotel that i'm writing this review while in my damn room.

Because the Redbury was converted condo, the rooms are incredibly big and come with a FULL kitchen, a huge bathroom, and a huge living room space. The decor is the perfect blend of modern and antique. Most rooms have private balconies. The linens and sheets don't have that overbleached stench that most hotels can't seem to shake. Because the hotel isn't that big, the halls are empty mostly and the staff members won't get in your way. The desk workers are very helpful as well. The breakfast buffet that was arranged for us was really, really good, and the breakfast burrito I ordered for room service was even better. Charging an extra $3 for egg whites instead of whole eggs was kinda bleh, but still - great food.

I can't rave any more about this place.

Most importantly: Will I stay here again? YES.

Huge beautiful room - bigger than our apartment! Great for the price. Very unique decor. Other reviews mentioned noise issues so we asked for a quiet room and it was fine. They also said they'd soundproofed the rooms in the noisier side as a result of customer feedback. It was a wonderful experience. Only downside, no bar soap in shower, one of the clean towels had lipstick all over it, and shower had low volume water flow. Dinner at Cleo's was great. Get the Brussel sprouts even if you hate veggies! They messed up one of our dishes, service a bit chaotic, no worries - because the food was awesome.

So I stayed at hotel with my lady and it was pretty good. The staff was friendly and prompt to assist us. The hotel is very clean and has an air of sophistication and worldliness. We checked in around 4pm and walked around the hotel. They have a nice outside seating area with heaters and comfortable seating. The restaurant Chleo on the first floor looked pretty cool, but we didn't eat there - next time for sure.
The room was pretty large. It had a seating area and small kitchen. Its decorations were well thought out and there was a record player in the room with a few records available as well. The one complaint I had was that the people in the room above us were sooooo loud. I literally think they were jumping off the bed and counters. I had to call the front desk to have them check it out because there was no way we could sleep with such ruckus. Checkout was at 12. Like the stay, maybe a little on the pricey side, but worth the experience.

In these tough economic times, it may not make too much sense to go off on exotic vacations every other weekend, but that doesn't mean you don't want to get away from it all once in a while. The next time that feeling hits me, I'm going to book a room at the Redbury, my new favorite hotel in LA. I had the pleasure of experiencing it as a coworker was visiting for the week and happened to book a room there. She told me it was awesome but I didn't truly believe it until I stepped foot in it myself.

Judging from its Hollywood location and the fact that it's an SBE property, you might expect some sort of overly sleek club-like hotel, but this is as far from that as you can get. Instead, they've pulled off a beautiful yet cozy yet funky luxury rock 'n roll vibe, which is a strange description I know, but it's hard to pin down because the aesthetic is so unique. I fell in love with all of the little features, from the colorful bedspread to the record player and record collection from Capitol Records up the street in the room, to the private balcony to the totally high-class mini liquor selection.

Seriously, I cannot stop thinking about this place, which makes me think that maybe it's almost time for an LA staycation!!!

Let me set it up for you... (read: there are some tasty parts here but I'm gonna give you the blow by blow, pour a glass of somethin' stat and read along kids)

It's Monday morning, I have one more night in LA and a strong desire to have some happy fun times in a hotel bed. Ok, ok, not exactly true... here's the real deal.

The divine Katie B, the same one who showed me an incredible time during "Corey Does LA 2012" had to be in Newport Monday night, so this guy had to find a different pillow to put my head on for my final night in town. It totally worked out because I was heading to LAX bright and early Tuesday, an easier trip from Hollywood and Vine than Newport, but I digress.

In the car on the way to Hollywood we called The W. THIS JUST IN: They aren't cheap. Even with a swanky corporate rate, the place costs bucks. Katie said we're already in the hood, just stay at The Redbury. Just like that. No debate, no second thoughts, just a quick trip into the parking garage and key pass to valet and we were there. Who does that? Katie B. And what is this Redbury place she spoke of? Only the most incredible hotel I've ever stayed in, IN. MY. LIFE.

From the moment we were waved through the sleek black door that separates the outsiders from those in the know (the peeps in the garage from the peeps in the lower lobby) I knew I was in for something good. We rode the elevator up to level 2 where the two of us and my four bags were met by Keith. Of course I didn't have a reservation and lucky for me there was room at the inn. There aren't many (44) so I suggest finishing this review later and calling them right now. Didn't matter that we didn't have a rezie, Keith was extremely accommodating. Rates are great! There's a AAA discount, if you check in on Yelp 3 times they upgrade your room and if you're nice to Keith he'll do what he can to make sure your experience rocks. Seriously y'all, I've never encountered such a professional and funny guest services rep outside of the two places I frequent in AZ, Hacienda Del Sol & Valley Ho. Well check this out, those two properties and a slew of others belong to an amazing group called Preferred Hotel Group. Each has a unique story and a strong local focus and after this experience it'll be hard for me to stay at anything other than Preferred. Guess I prefer Preferred (I'm a marketer's dream!)

After a few ha ha has and oh ho hos with Keith (seriously, the guy pretty much MADE the whole check in experience solid) it was up in the elevator to 407, the sweetest pad I've staying in, pretty much like ever. There was an enormous breakfast bar/dining area with 4 stools, a king bed with sexy linen, a full kitchen with gas cooking burners, a mini fridge, plates, cups and utensils, a sofa, arm chairs, a TV that swiveled back and forth between living room and bedroom, LAUNDRY!, a walk in shower that could fit fifteen of your favorite friends, a separate bathroom and sink sich, so three people could do three different activities with water at the same time, there was a patio with furniture, pillows galore and my favorite, wait for it, wait for it, a vintage record player with 10 or so vinyls. AMAZING! This descript doesn't do the prop justice, so look at photos or better yet just stay there.

A few standouts worth mentioning:

1. Huge room, 900 sq ft maybe?
2. Mostly tile/wood, anyone else have a hard time walking on hotel carpet?
3. Comfy bed, rivals the Westin's Heavenly Bed
4. Such well thought out and carefully placed decor, you can tell everything was where it was for a reason (black and white framed photo collage above bed FTW)
5. WIFI for four devices when you drop ten bucks
6. I have to give another shout out for Keith

What else can I say? Oh, here you go... expecting meat and friends? They called up to the room when GoBurger arrived and asked, "Can I send your lunch up Mr. Dane," then called when a special guest arrived and asked if LA's Corey M could trip it up the elevator too. Cool touches like that are why I'll tell everyone about this place.

Oh and they have a room called the library, which happens to be my favorite room of the property in Tucson (Hacienda Del Sol). Is that a Preferred Hotels thing? Every hotel must have a library? I don't know, but I like it.

Yeah, I said it, I like you Redbury, I like you a lot. You've set the bar high and I'm afraid everything that comes after you will seem miserable. So thanks for that. And everything else.

Book it.

I've been in studio and one bedroom apartments that weren't as big as this hotel room.

- I had a full on living room with chairs, couches, a large screen TV that swiveled to provide the best viewing angle and a record player complete with several LPs for my listening pleasure.
- I also had a full on kitchen with mini burners, dish and silverware, a fridge that had one empty shelf to store my own stuff and then mini-bar drinks; there was even a legit coffeemaker.
- Then there was my sleeping area that had the most comfortable bed and about a trillion pillows.
- My bathroom was comprised of separate toilet/shower/sink areas complete with two closets to hang my stuff.
- And, yes, there was even a patio with chairs to sit on while you enjoyed the warm, breezy LA days.

The Redbury is probably the coolest hotel I've ever stayed at. It's like a more grown up version of the Ace Hotels I've been to. Basically at the Ace it feels like you are staying at your cool friend's apartment in the city, but your friend in this regard is a successful 20-something. Staying at The Redbury is like staying at your cool friend's apartment in the city, but this time around your friend is either really successful in their 30s or perhaps one of those 20-something year old billionaires who can afford to have a designer with an even better eye to come in and put everything together just so.

Plus there was free Wi-Fi. Score.

I stayed at this hotel about a month ago and, for the most part, had a nearly perfect experience. The hotel was very clean, the restaurant was terrific and the location was fantastic.

The service was particularly excellent. My girlfriend and I have allergies triggered by cigarette smoke. I wrote this in the special request section when booking the room and when we checked in, the manager came down personally and told us that he inspected the room to make sure it didn't smell like smoke but if we had any problems to let him know and he would take care of it (the room was fine).

The main Hollywood attractions are within walking distance from the hotel and we were able to get to all of the other major attractions in various parts of LA within about 15-20 minutes from the hotel. The record player added a nice touch to the room and the record selection that we had was great (John Lennon and the Pretenders were included, among a few other records).

My biggest complaint, and the only reason why I'm not giving a full 5 star review, is because of the night club in the courtyard outside of the rooms. While it wasn't a problem for us during the week (the music stopped at 12 AM, which wasn't a problem for us, and it was quiet enough for us to sleep once the music stopped), the loud music continues until close to 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. We had an early flight Saturday morning and it was very difficult to sleep.

Another minor complaint is that there is an extra charge for WiFi.

Overall, I very highly recommend the hotel, as long as you don't plan on sleeping before 12:00 AM during the week or 2:00 AM during the weekend.

Back to the hotel....Ahhh ... The suite life!

The Redbury was our home away from home during our time in LA.  I chose this location not for the cool amenties like VIP access to SBE venues or the hip party scene at the hotel like Library or their incredible patio.  We picked this spot for the full kitchen amenties which are standard in each room, the in room laundry unit, and the size of the suite.  For the price it's the best deal in the area. The swanky decor, and furnishings, and balcony were all pluses. We stayed in a Hollywood Glamour suite which is an upgrade from their standard suite and right below the Big Baller Playroom ;) - we walked into our room thinking this suite is bigger than most NYC apartments! Our requested crib was already set up.  The only room negative no bathtub. Otherwise the room is awesome!

A few negative issues for me (that most likely won't impact most):
1. The noise level on Friday and Saturday is horrendous but I guess it's to be expected? I knew making the reservations that the party scene might influence the noise level.  I even talked to the concierge to ensure we had a room away from the library and patio.  Unfortunately, you can still hear the club thumping' beats.  If you are at the Redbury to party it shouldn't matter.  Luckily my baby slept through it.  And it's not as noisy as a night at a room on a low floor of a western hotel in Mumbai - now that's a party!

2. Afterparty...so bar closes at 2pm in Cali..where to go next?  The partygoers hit the big Baller suite next to/below/above us and we heard their antics in the wee early mornings.

3. Valet is subcontracted by the hotel.  We did not have an issue until the last day during check out.  The valet could not find our key.  Poor guy went into a panic - it didn't help that he couldn't reach his boss.  Gerry (sp) the front desk clerk on shift offered to comp out taxi ride to the airport and work with our car rental company to pick up the car...ya right easier said then done.  Were they going to pay for the extra rental time, the pick up charges, lost key charge, etc???? Luckily we didn't have to find out....the valet searched the car and found the keys hidden by the last valet (dickwad).

All in all I would definitely recommend the hotel to my late night partier friends or anyone looking to pay $$ for someplace different and unique.

Tip to know: there's a Trader Joe's down the street so save $$$ on minI bar and pick up some full size bottles! No self-park (there is a parking lot nearby), limited metered street parking.   Most important: There's also a Unami burger a few blocks down near urban outfitters.

Our room and the hotel was gorgeous. Aesthetically the coolest hotel we've stayed at.  However our experience while staying was awful.  Check in went fine, however we didn't feel totally welcome by the front desk. It wasn't bad, just not the usual service we expect when staying at a hotel.

Then comes our actual night. We were woken up multiple times 2 am, 4 am and then we were awake from 530 on because of a woman SCREAMING at the top of her lungs right outside our balcony.  She was tripping out on drugs and the cops came to hold her down but this went on for over 2 hours.  We literally watched it from our window. So definitely not a pleasurable restful hotel experience.  When we told the front desk, he wasn't too sympathetic. He took our $10 internet charge off.  Which was fine, I wouldn't expect him to comp our room but our experience was awful. Don't know if I'd be brave enough to come back.

I threw a private party at the Redbury and this is the letter I wrote to the manager of the hotel afterwards:

"Hi David,

My name is Brandon and I just recently hosted a surprise birthday party at the Library on Sunday. I just wanted to reach out and personally thank you and your staff personally for your exceptional service and for the amazing decor.

Everything you provided exceeded all of my expectations. According to my guests the mixed drinks were the best they had. Kevin Doscher also has been so amazing. His e-mails were always so punctual and he made accommodations for everything I asked. During the party Scott made sure that every little detail was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better team and a better venue.

If there's anything else I can do to help better your company please let me know. I will be posting this on yelp as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

I'm not sure if The Standard (downtown) was ever really "the standard" for coolness/hipness/whatever for hotels, but The Redbury pretty much blows it away in every conceivable category, with the exception of the overnight parking price (more on that later).

The interior, including the rooms, bar, restaurant, hallways, front desk, courtyard, etc., and even the exterior facade is simply gorgeous.  It's kind of a cross between a tasteful bordello and California Adventure's Tower of Terror, but as gauche and campy and kitschy as it might have been, it all works.

Once you see your very spacious room and the layout, and size, and balcony, you know that you are in a converted apartment building.  And yes, you probably would move in, if you could.

The courtyard, just off the Library bar, is quite the little scene at night and if you don't want to hear the thumpthumpthump of the music as you try and get some sleep, you might want a room which doesn't overlook the courtyard.  But then again, if you did that, you might miss out on all the fun.  Feel free to PM me for details.

The location is terrific, basically at the corner of Hollyweird and Vine, and even the Hollywood Bowl is within walking distance (a good hike but still walkable).

Now about that overnight parking charge:  $37 for a guy to park your car about 25 feet away from where you drop it off.  Right.  This is the latest scam of many a hotel:  offer semi-reasonable room rates and then screw the guest on (in?) in the backend for the parking fee.  Why not simply charge $50 for the room and then tack on $200 for parking?  It would be just as honest (or dishonest, depending on how you look at it).

The staff was extremely friendly with the exception of one bartender who glared at us because we had the nerve to try to use our certificate for two free cocktails (hey, at $14 a drink, I'm going to use the damn certificate--given to us by the hotel for joining their little e-club).

Bottom line: We loved the hotel, we loved our room, and we would gladly stay there again.

Everytime I come here there is someone that is getting into a fight, maybe because the place is always crowded with everyone bumping into eachother, well guess what, that's what happens when a bunch of drunk people start bumping into each other. It is always crowded by the bar and it is always hard to move around in that area. The bartenders are good at what they do but you guys need to add another bartender, last time I waited 20 minutes for my drink....not cool when you want to get drunk and start partying. I like coming here but it gets too crowded too fast!.

Can you say Library Bar?! Located on the second floor of this hotel. I love the lounge, classey, sexy and relaxing.

Come upstairs and you must order the strawberry shot from the cuter (shorter) bartender. It is amazing, hands down the best shot I have ever had in my life! Fresh strawberries, crushed with mint, cold belveder and kettle one (and not sure what else). It was refreshing and natural tasting, not like all those artifical shots that have a disgusting bite to them.

Walk in and you have a pool table to your right with a few tables, then the bar straight ahead... next comes to the twinkling lights outside! There is plenlty of seating as well, some are reserved- the bathroom is located outside at the very end. The flooring scares me a bit because it is a little unstable (wooden planks).

Also had a Mylie Cyrus bf sighting (around 8ish is when we came on a Saturday night)- had no idea, my friend pointed it out.

Overall, love this place it's a lounge but better! Doesn't have that dark feelign where I want to go to sleep. Would definitely come back.

** hint hint: good date place!- you can grab food here too- some of the same things they serve at Cleos downstairs.

Very unique and classy hotel. Had a really nice stay in a very well designed room. The hotel gives you a dark "shining" type feel but brings you most 4 star amenities and cool touches. Actual record player with records, full kitchen, nice large balcony with chairs, lots of digital touches in an analog environment. The location is amazing too. Since its owned by SBE you can actually get Katsuya Room Service from the restaurant across the street! Even though everything was pretty amazing Ill just mention a few small things- room service was delivered kind of sloppily, there were zero bars of soap only gel, lighting was poor in the bathroom, hard to get ready. Not nearly enough to keep me from coming back and staying again.

This hotel is ridiculously nice, modern, flashy, has ghost/murder scene written all over it. The dude at the front desk gave us the history about the photographer who conceptualized the whole place.

Think 1930s, eery and creepy (in the badass Black Dahlia murder way) and awesomeness in a high end/high fashion hotel.

Let me preface this by saying my ideal vacation consists of great food, slow pace and white sand beaches. That being said, I am going to try and be as impartial as possible, seeing as I knew ahead of time that this hotel/area was not my "scene."

I will start with the pros. Check in was extremely smooth and the receptionist (Natasha I believe was her name) seemed very genuine and sweet. In fact, most of the staff were very nice and pleasant, with the exception of a male receptionist who was down right rude later in our stay (wish I had his name)

Upon entering our room (a studio with kitchen) we were amazed by the size, decoration and overall style and feel of the room.

The location of the hotel is literally on the corner of Hollywood and Vine. Since we had tickets to the Book of Mormon at the Pantages Theater (about 50 yards from the hotel), we choose to stay at the Redbury. Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the El Capitan Theatre and the Dolby (formerly the Kodak) Theatres are also all within walking distance, however I would not recommend this at night as we saw numerous criminal types in the area. If Hollywood is your main point of interest, this location can't be beat.

The hotel restaurant, Cleo, was also fantastic. I had also heard that the hotel lounge was nice as well, however my wife and I did not go personally (we had a view of the lounge from our balcony and it did look very posh).

Now for the cons. What the hotel impresses in nightlife, it lacks in traditional luxuries such as a gym or pool. ***The noise level is also extremely loud. I had read several reviews saying so and they were not kidding. I am a heavy sleeper and even I was woken up several times during the night. From the music at the hotel lounge, to the music coming from the club next door, to cars revving on the street to police/fire sirens at all times of night. If you plan on staying out late, the noise will likely not affect your sleep. However, I would not recommend this hotel if a relaxing stay was intended. Also, when I checked in on a Friday night, there were numerous 20 somethings crowding the first and second floors of the hotel. As a pretty low-key kind of guy, having to squeeze my way past these party-going socialites while carrying our luggage was a bad first impression.

I can see the charm and why so many love this hotel. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me and I will not be returning. Despite not being to my taste, the hotel does deserve a solid 4 rating.

Excellent. Seriously, no other words describe this spot. The decor is totally Hollywood and the vibe you get is classic rockstar.

The rooms are HUGE. Depending on what room you get, it comes equipped with a kitchen, living room area (which turns into a sofabed), room, balcony, and bathroom.

This is a fabulous hotel to get if you want to host friends prior to painting the town red.

Guest service is absolutely AMAZING - everyone we spoke with was beyond helpful and would go over the top to ensure we had an amazing stay.

Stayed here twice, satisfied both times.

dopest hotel in l.a. came here for my bday celebration and the room was gorgeous and VERY cheap. we couldn't believe how cheap this place was.

#1 reason to go? just so jazzy baby. they got a record player, and we were loving the Nat King Cole record we were jammin old school to.  reminded me of playing 45s as a kid in my room with comic books.

the place is infused with this scent they call "amber-honey" and all the lights are lit really low with the funkiest of acid phunk rumbling softly from well-hidden speakers. all about AMBIANCE here folks.

bed. mazin... fan, a.c., beautiful plush couches, ridonkulous showers.

only regret: the library is only open on fri, sat, and sundays. tuff economy for everybody i guess.... would've loved to have eaten my lemon birthday cake next to the walls of books and black pool table. definitely will be back!

Any hotel that offers a record player in each room is an awesome one.

If you're looking for a party hotel with a nice rock n roll style mixed with old hollywood feel... I would say go with Redbury.

It is located right next door to Avalon, so your walls WILL bump and rumble.
But as they say -- "if it's too loud, you're too old"

If I wanted the perfect loft style bachelorette/bachelor pad living, Redbury's room designs and would be totally ideal. Floor plans are very open. High ceilings. Great furniture and decor.

I've seen two rooms for some out of town dj/music producers and both were very nice rooms and there's a kitchen with what to me looked like a stripper pole on the table/dining bar.

If I wanted a fun "girls night out" or "hot date" hotel getaway in LA/Hollywood. I would totally choose Redbury.

It's red, it's tacky, it's sexy, it's kitzchy...get some.

VIP Treatment!!!!  I loved it!

I was looking for a place that was in hollywood that was accessible to all the venues at night.  An online broker highly recommended this place and the rates were very reasonable.  As it turns out, this place is a converted condo / apartment so size was going to be larger than the average hotel.  I got the 2 bedroom suite and boy was is huge!  Its true... size does matter.  But not only was the size of the room amazing but the decor was chic.  Leather sofas, flat panels in every room, king and queen size beds that were ultra comfortable.  The record player was a nice touch but was skipping when I first turn it on.  I quick call to the host desk and they immediately sent someone to fix it.

Service.  Service at Redbury is probably the highest reason why I was so please with my stay.  I am not a night owl nor do I know any hollywood nightlife.  So I relied a little bit on the hotel on their recommendations.  First of, they recommended a restaurant called Saint Felix.  Which was absolutely fabulous (You can read my review on that place here: yelp.com/biz/saint-felix… ).

I knew that how difficult it could be to get around and get in at some of the venues.  So again I turned to the hotel hosts and ask for suggestions and they gave me some recommendations and they made some calls and they got my group in with serious VIP treatment.

My boys were out for a good time to spend a night with a certain gentleman who will be taking his vows to be with the woman he loves.  Redbury made the difference and made it a night that we will always remember.

From the amazing hospitality service, to the comfortable room that had all the amenities that we could look for at a luxury hotel, to the amazing valet service (yes it was a pricey rate for overnight) that kept taking our cars out because someone would have to get something.  Valet service was a phone call away.

AMAZING!!!  Did not disappoint!

Sexy, sexy, sexy!!

The whole hotel just oozes modern glamour while still paying homage to its old Hollywood roots.

Red walls, vanilla scents, vintage-inspired design....definitely one of my favorite hotels in LA.

Oversized, black and white photos of scarlets from hollywood's golden-age, adorn the walls, and dark mysterious corners make you just want to sneak off and steal a  kiss...

The rooms are HUGE!  complete with a fully-stocked kitchen, living area, and four poster bed.  The record player is a nice touch with old and new LPs.

I stayed here 3 years ago for a concert and had a great experience. Had I reviewed it, it would have been 4 stars. That said, I was back in town for another concert and found Redbury to be in walking distance to the venue so I booked a known commodity. I was a little disappointed to see that time has not been kind. The hotel is still cool and the room well appointed but things are just a little worn. One of the first things I said was "Is that an almond on the floor" and it was. Thank god it wasn't a bug but it was that little overlooked detail that made me a take notice of other things. The bathroom backsplash and shower tiles could use a good scrub down and the towels, while giant, were a little frayed. The couches and pillows could use a good steam and the furry rug was suspect. The bed was sumptuous and the pillows ample. I could hear the club from room 409 but it wasn't a huge deal and it didn't bother my sleep. The view was of a wall but I wasn't there to sit on my patio so I didn't care. Overall still a solid value but the manager should start to address the little things before they become big things.

This is my new fave hotel for my many staycations. Sayonara, Standard! Adios, W! Au revoir Roosevelt! .....Bonjour, Redbury!

5 stars....after checking prices online, i decided just to call he hotel directly and see if they could do any better. Well, not only did they WANT to do better, I  was HOOKED UP! I ended up paying $50 cheaper than the lowest online and got a free mini-upgrade upon arrival.

5 stars...
From the bellman (who was extremely sweet, patient and helpful), to the guy at the front desk....the service was STELLAR! I could not have asked for any kinder and professional people to encounter at a hotel, ever!! Phenomenal service....each step of the way!

5 stars (I posted a few picts).
Upon entering, there was a good sized Kitchenette complete with counter seating with four stools (but could have easily sat 10 people). THe living area was plush and sexy, while maintaining a causal elegance. The bed was superb and the decor in the sleeping area was very unique and personable. The bathroom had a rain shower - my favorite type...and the shower was a great size (perfect for two!). There was also a private balcony with a bench and a chair that was great for smoke breaks. Overall, it was perfect; I want to move in!

5 stars....
From Intimacy Kits, to revolving flatscreens, stocked fridge and pantry-style snacks...they had it all! The iPod dock was conveniently next to the bed. The record player was cool... we  used it toward the end of the night. Also, room service can come from your choice of Cleo (which is AMAZING) or Kastuya.

This is my new favorite local hotel. Perfectly located on Hwood and Vine....amazing food selections, phenomenal service, and rooms to die for.

The Redbury is a pretty intimate place although it gets very packed after 11:00 PM. Drink prices are up to par with the standard Hollywood rates. For example, a beer will run you $8-10 and a mixed drink about $14+. The reason why their drinks are priced that way is because there is no cover charge. Pregaming is a must if you don't want to spend $50-60 to get a nice buzz going. The outdoor seating/standing is very elegant and the place is always popping.

I seriously wish I lived here! The rooms here are absolutely gorgeous and extremely spacious (this room is bigger than my whole 3 bedroom apartment in nyc)! SBE did such an amazing job decorating this place and you can tell that someone put thought into every little minute detail!

The decor and size of the room alone earns 5 stars but here is where I would add an additional star if yelp had 6 stars for going above and beyond.
Each room has:
- a stove, microwave, plates, utensils, cookware, fridge, kitchen island
- LED TVs, DVR, premium cable (on demand)
- record player and records
- an ipod/ iphone charger on the nightstand with 2 electrical outlets
- an amazing selection of snacks and drinks
- cordless phones
- luxurious lotions, shampoo, conditioner, soap
- private balcony

In addition, the staff here were very friendly and accomodating. I'm not much of a tech geek so the universal digital remote control was way to complicated for me. They brought me an old school cable box remote in a jiffy!

I wish I lived here... wait..... i said that already...

I have to say I really like staying here. It's not perfect but it is comfortable.

The area surrounding the hotel can be somewhat lively. There's a club next door and depending on where you are in the hotel, you can hear it. I've had that happen and it was not pleasant. Lots of street noise too. However, outside of that, the place is cool.

I also like the restaurant Cleo -- which is in the hotel.

We didn't actually stay at this hotel, but we went there for an after party on a Saturday night, we stayed there the whole night except actually sleeping on the bed, thought I'd still write a few things about this luxury Boho chic hotel on Hollywood and vine.

The location is one of the best, tons of restaurants and nightlife nearby. This hotel lives up to the name, Redbury, everything is red color Boho themed. They lock the entrance after midnight I guess, we had to ask the security to take us to the elevator to get to the after party flat.

Super cute lobby with lots of vintage decorations and displays, loved those. The one bedroom flat with balcony is very nice, big living room with full kitchen, sofa, couches, dining table, very stylish. The bed room is a bit small, the bed is very comfy , we didnt sleep on it, but we did sit on it for a while ;p, bathroom is fairly spacious with nice shower, no bath tub, bathroom amenities are very nice. The best part is the balcony, spacious with nice view, great for people to hang out and have a few drinks. All flats from studio to two bedroom are spacious, from 750sf -1020sf, rates starting from around $380-$680 on most weekends.

We had a great time there with friends. I really liked the flat we went. Too bad it was too late to hang out at The library and The glade, or dine at Cleo or Katsuya. We will definitely dine at one of the on site restaurants and stay at a flat for a weekend getaway or special occasions, this is a very romantic and sexy hotel to stay. A review update for sure, and lots of photos.(It was too crowded to take photos without bothering other people)

I never wanted to leave! It started off great, ended even better.

My boyfriend and I didn't want to go too far from town, so we decided to spend a night in Hollywood. I told him I just wanted a decent place to stay since we're going to venture the nightlife but he surprised me with the awesome Redbury room. We were greeted by Ashley at the reception table. She was as warm and inviting as the rooms she upgraded us to. We told her we wanted to get a few drinks at a local bar (not knowing there's actually a bar AT the hotel) so she got us a room conveniently attached to the bar's patio, that way we could just walk right in. Remember, we were there for the nightlife, so we didn't mind the noise one bit. My favorite part of our room was the kitchen and the record player. Oh, and the laundry! And the vintage inspired furniture. What am I saying? I like everything about this place--we had a great night!

Usually an amazing spot but based on last nights experience I won't return. First, they gave me the worst room in the hotel overlooking the Avalon night clubs smelly trash dumpsters.  They said the room I booked was not available because the shower was not working. They then did not let our other party check into their room due to the same excuse.  They were put up in another hotel miles away. We all met up at my room to head out for our nights festivities.  When we returned that night, we were told our group was to large to enter the hotel!?!  All my guested wanted to do is to gather their handbags and head back to other hotel.  The hotel staff actually came to the room and yelled "everyone out!"  We were not partying, only saying good night.  Extremely aggressive and rude staff.

Totally old school Hollywood, and I loved it!  My fiance took me to see an Information Society concert a few blocks away, and he picked the best hotel for a pre-party!  First, the hallways were amazing, with deep crimson decor, leather couches and lighted portraits of Marilyn and other bombshells.  It was an amazing place for photo-ops....and we took advantage of this.

When we walked into our room, the first thing I noticed was the biggest bar I have EVER seen in a hotel room, with the best bar tools, and any type of glass you could want.  The room had a full kitchen, and washer and dryer...but the best part was the turntable...with records!  We had our choice of Beasties, Coldplay, and many others!  The bed was gorgeous and one side of it had a sexy, translucent window to the large shower.  I do wish there had been a jacuzzi tub and a better view.

We lounged and drank champagne out of vintage ceramic goblets. Later, I walked down the hallway on our way out, and I stopped to pose with one of the sleek antique (though push-button phones) and I swear, Elvis answered (I guess it helps if the front desk worker is a guy named Elvis).

Totally glam!

I stayed here for a week, for business. It's hipster / rocker hotel for sure. But... before you stop reading... the rooms are actually very beautiful and functional. It's actually quite tasteful inside. A turntable that surprisingly had LPs I wanted to listen to (The Specials, early Jesus and Mary Chain, pre-disco Bee Gees). I'm a musician so this was especially important. Beautiful room, bed, kitchen, lounge area, shower, bathroom. Spacious and elegant. Comfortable lighting (very important to me since I practically live in hotels).

The surrounding area is quite dark and violent.

But I'll never stay there again. The balcony view was the wall of the club next door. It's also where they keep their trash so it looked and smelled awful. But the club, on weekends, was unbearably loud. Thumping until 8:30 am!!! Even earplugs couldn't keep the sound out, I could feel the sheets moving with the bass.

There's a group of us at the hotel and the next day I discovered that all of us had done the same thing. Called the concierge to complain only to have them offer to send up earplugs.

Absolutely appalling.

Next time I was in LA I stayed at Petit Armitage and it was a much nicer, enjoyable place to stay. Think I'll stay there from now on.

Beautiful hotel. Very cool library bar with delicious cocktails and old leather furniture.. outdoor patio. The restaurant inside had delicious food but was very packed, making it hard to speak and hear your guests.

I'm a bit of a hotel snob, so I was a little nervous about staying here.  However, The Redbury was over-the-top rad!  Big rooms, awesome decor, blackout curtains, record players with a large selection of classics, great customer service, etc., etc.

Everyone working there that helped me and my girl get ready for the Gaga concert...you rock!!

I had a great experience at The Redbury! This past labor day weekend 8 girls stayed in a two bedroom/two bathroom suite (10 girls on one night!!) for a bachelorette weekend and it was surprisingly perfect! Our room was on the 4th floor and we had a nice view of the Hollywood sign and the Griffith observatory looked beautiful at dusk!

We were warned that we couldn't have a party and if we were too loud we could be asked to leave. We got a little rowdy and we were never bothered! I chose the hotel for the vintage style and we even had some burlesque salsa lessons as part of our weekend. A convenient pole in the middle of the suite (on the kitchen counter) was also perfect for our lessons :).

The size was perfect. We were able to fit a couple blow up mattresses in the living room area and everyone was comfortable. No complaints from anyone in our party!

I have no complaints about the outdoor bar here. It's Hollywood so the drinks are pricey but they were damn good. I ordered the tangerina off the menu. So good. Waitress was friendly as hell and on point. Great service.

Only weird thing was the giant roaches running on the wall looking out onto Hollywood. It was super hot the night we went. Not sure if that had something to do with it.

Stayed here one night for my birthday. The hotel is very swanky and old Hollywood. The room was amazing! Record player, sweet shower, and kitchen. Disappointed because  we were super excited to go to the Library Bar and sip on a cocktail on the patio but there was a private event so we weren't allowed in. I would def stay here again.

Valet parking

$38 resort fee
Bar closed to public if there's a private      event

This place is a joke!!! The service is horrible.. The rooms say they accommodate 4 people but it is not a comfortable 4... I have stayed at way nicer and better hotels for way cheaper then this crappy hotel.. I probably wouldn't have wrote such a horrible review had the service not been so bad... We were here celebrating a bachelorette and they couldn't even accommodate us... They have a club at the hotel that they won't even let their guests into.....

The restaurant is nice, but the hotel and it's staff are downright awful. I came in after a really long trip, asked for a quiet room. They assured me they put me in a quiet room. It faces a nightclub. It feels like there is a nightclub in my room. Then I called to complain and they didnt offer me much. Terrible location next to a night club and terrible hospitality

I can't believe what I've been missing out on all these years!!

It was my friends birthday, and we got there early. TIP-- no waiting in line, no cover charge, no hassle if you come here around 9:45.

Although a bit pricy, the drinks were delicious, and use fresh ingredients.
I ordered a vodka tonic, $14.
My friends ordered their specialty drinks and they were really good.

I love the ambiance, the pool table, the outdoor patio, the couches along the walls. It's a really cozy feeling with a club type crowd.

The music is good, no live DJ, but everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

Will definitely be back! One of the better lounges in Hollywood!

Wow, I'm married now!  o.O

So my wedding weekend started off with us checking into the Redbury Hotel.  We were greeted with warm, friendly smiles and even a congratulatory note in our room.  As I mentioned before, the vintage ambience is what drew me to this place and it did not disappoint!!  My sister did find the red-wall hallways a bit scary...she said it reminded her of the Shining.  I liked it~

The rooms were spacious...very apartment-like.  With a kitchen, patio, bedroom, waterfall showers, big TVs, couches, old-school record players, and so on...

It was the PERFECT place for my bridal party to get ready!!  There was enough space on the kitchen counter for the hair/makeup artists to set up, a livingroom for the bridal party to chill in, and a patio for people who wanted some fresh air.  We had two rooms- one the Hollywood view and the other the Vine view.

If you're looking for a hotel for your wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.  There are a lot of spot for photos.....including the patio/lounge, staircase, and the Library Bar.

Thank you, David Lang and the Redbury staff, for providing a great start to my wedding weekend!!

Had a mild  misunderstanding with a security guard at the patio re smoking. Went back inside with my friends, when he approached me again with a flinching eye. I, as a confident guy asked him if he wants to hit me, after which a manager with a beard threw me out, which I agreed to voluntarily. At the exit i asked him if I could tell my side of the story, to which he said that he doesn't give a shit what my story is. I'm a major club goer and I would never expect anything like this from sbe lounge personnel. Overall it's a good spot, but it's embarrassing how the clients are treated when push comes to shove, especially if it was 90 percent there fault. Love sbe venues, but the should really do some QA. Which I had the names to point out these I humane losers.

This review is for both The Library Bar and the actual hotel:

First off- I couldn't find the damn valet anywhere. So I parked in the lot next door. Twenty freakin' dollars?! These kinds of shenanigans remind me why I never leave West LA (a plethora of FREE parking, as far as the eye can see.) There was a bit of a line to get in... which, frankly, didn't move very quickly at all. The drinks were standard LA prices, pool tables, and a couple couches to lounge. The majority of folks were hanging outside, and by "folks" I mean the Armenian/ Persian crowd. Wow, this place lacks diversity. They seriously need some affirmative action up in here.

The saving grace here was the hotel room.  I felt like Johnny Deep ala Blow.  Rich fabrics, deep color on the walls, wicker ceiling fan.  A perfect medley of modern and vintage. Great views of the Capitol Records building and a first row seat to watch Hollywood unfold after last call.

I should have seen this coming and that's the only reason why this hotel doesn't get a lowly one star. The Redbury is a newer hip hotel near Hollywood and Vine. It's good for extended stays because all the rooms are large, have a kitchen and a washer/dryer in each room. The room prices are also good compared to similar properties in Hollywood/Beverly Hills area and you get more for your money particularly regarding room size. Here's the breakdown from my experience.

Friendly. However speed and efficiency is an issue. After coming back from dinner on a Saturday night their bar/lounge "The Library" was open and it caused some major congestion as people were arriving. We were backed in the turn lane almost 10 minutes while cars from every direction were pulling in. There is a large open curb area in front of the hotel they should utilize for guests when this happens. It's common sense really. $38 overnight guest parking. Pretty standard rate.

Check In:
Fast and friendly. They answered all of our questions and told us if we wanted to go the "The Library" that evening there was a door across the hall from the check-in desk that was for guests to enter without waiting in line. More on that later.

The room was BIG and pretty nice. Even though the decor was a little too dark Hollywood chic for my taste but all the furniture and bedding was very comfortable. The room kind of looks like what you'd expect if Trent Reznor married Elizabeth Taylor. The rooms really have every amenity you will need. They didn't have bar soap though. Only bath gel which I'm not really a fan of. The rooms also have a record player with a selection of about 10 albums. They were all random old records from the 50's and 60's. The only name I recognized on any of them was Elvis. We played a couple. It was fun. The shower was also huge and everything seemed clean. "The Library" is loud and expect for it to stay that way until 2am. If you sleep with the TV on you won't be able to hear it but otherwise you may have trouble sleeping, especially if you're on the 2nd floor (which we were). "The Library" is also on the 2nd floor.

The Service:
For the most part everyone was friendly. Anyone that directly interacted with us anyways. However staff working throughout the hotel never said hello or even acknowledged our presence. Usually in an elevator at least they will say hello. We had none of that. That is really what separates five star service from mediocre service. Unfortunately it was mediocre. The attitudes of their security however was atrocious...

OK, now my big issue:
After arriving back from dinner and finely making it through the valet area we decided to stop by " The Library" for a drink. We went to the door we were told to go to and we were stopped immediately by security. I explained to them I was a guest and was told to enter through here so I wouldn't have to wait in line outside (which literally wrapped around the block). The security guard explained that they just finished discussing that with management and it was decided that we now had to go wait in the line outside. That being said we decided it wasn't worth it to wait and went back to our room. I wrote an email to hotel management an hour or so later about it and within a few minutes a manager named Keith responded apologizing and explained we should have been allowed in and to ask for management if we experience any other issues getting in right away. By this time we were already settled in for bed and had no interest in being there anymore. I found is so disturbing yet typical of a new Hollywood hot spot to not actually care about their hotel guests experience. At least train your staff so they know your policies.

If we didn't have the issue with security I probably would've given this place 3 stars. The service wasn't great, the system they used for valet is ridiculous and "The Library" can be disturbing if you're trying to sleep. I'll spend the extra money to stay somewhere where they actually care about their guests next time.

We were so SPOILED by everyone from the Room Manager, and Daniel and Keith in Reception.  The boys in Valet were also so good to us.  We felt like we had the "car" all to ourselves and were driven in style everywhere we wished.  Thanks for a great ride....Mark, Edwin and the whole crew xoxox.  We ate in the dining room and everything there was perfect as well.  The garden area gets krazy on the weekends so if your not into that....stay during the week if possible.  Or, go join the party!!  We would go back and highly recommend the Redbury.  I didn't give 5 stars because they changed the couch out and the dust bunnies did not get swept up before they put in the new couch plus I like the original couch better.

On the side.....great places to eat are: RAO's.  And within walking distance.... Musso & Frank's Grill - one of the oldest Restaurant in Hollywood.  Both excellent....as is Roscoe's......Enjoy all....We did !!!

I love aesthetically pleasing venues and I fell in love with the set up and decor of the hotel.

The bar, however, is something else. We were there 2 weekends ago celebrating a birthday both inside and out in the beautiful patio. The bar wasn't crowded so getting drinks was easy. Finding amazing bartenders is surprisingly difficult in Hollywood. Wish I got the name of the man serving us so I could give him a s/o!

Even security was pleasant and had a "we're all here to have a good time" attitude -- another rarity. The only downside was the long line and having to move from the comfortable patio to the crowded indoor area around 1:30am.

Can't wait to go back!

This place sux! My cousin called to book a suite for a gathering he was having. He spoke to a guy named Eddie. He informed Eddie that he was having a gathering of about 25-30 people. Eddie said that would be fine. To be on the safe side, my cousin asked him how many people could fit in the room. Eddie said about 35 people max could fit in there and that they have bachelor parties and all kinds of gatherings in that suite where that many people have fit.

My cousin booked the room. The day of the gathering, we checked in. The manager Keith knew that we were having a gathering. We informed him of that when we checked in. He told us as long as we don't make a lot of noise or go over capacity we will be fine. We assured him it wasnt a "party" (which it wasnt), it was a business gathering to premier a video. We had music playing (not loud) and finger foods. There was only mingling. No dancing, no smoking or anything like that.

People started showing up. When we got to about 25 people, Keith started to complaln saying that there were too many people in the suite, stating that he has been counting them as they came in. We assured him that the head count was not over capacity and told him that he could come up to the suite and see for himself to which he replied "I dont HAVE to come see." he told us anything more than 25 people was too much and he began to turn people away!

At no point were there more than 27 people in the room as some people would come, show their faces and leave. Keith never bothered to come up and give a head count. A couple of very important business executives showed up and were turned away at the front desk without any consent from us. We received calls to the room saying "your guest is just calling to inform you that he is sorry he couldn't come up but just letting you know he came by"

We went down and talked to Keith and asked him why he was turning away our guests and we explained to him that many people had left and we were not over capacity. And that we were told that we could have up to 35 people in the room and 35 people in total hadn't even shown up yet! He asked "who told you that?" we said "Eddie" , Eddie chimed in "I never said that!" which he did!

So basically at this hotel they tell you what you want to hear to get your money and then switch up once they get it! They were very rude, telling us that they were going to have security escort our guests out, and that "this isnt a night club". At no point was there any rowdiness, there was no dancing, music blasting or anything of that nature. It was a small gathering of people mingling and eating finger foods.

If you ever want to have a gathering in a suite at the Redbury, don't do it at that hotel. On top of that, other staff members were rude as well. I can say that the valets, bell men, and maintenance people were great! but Keith is a jerk and Eddie is a liar!

Spent my Birthday here, it was pretty cool but this place is freaking expensive. I understand if you would make other people that aren't sposed to stay overnight pay for parking. But to make even the people who are paying for the suite and staying in the suites pay $39 for Overnight parking is just fucking outrageous. So the one star is lost for this review because of that.

Another reason why one star was lost was because they were not clear about the total charges. Here's what happened...

The Hollywood suite or flat we got was 570 with taxes and stuff then another additional deposit of 150 so it was like 714 or something in total. They should have put in the fine print on their website with the total of a "incidental fee" is $150 so people can come prepared. Their website only shows the initial price WITHOUT tax and then price WITH tax. They should really inform and add in that "With Deposit/Incidental fees it will be $714 in total" or something like that so people have enough on their cards and come prepared not having to run to the Bank.

Room was cool. When I got there first thing you see is the epic pole/stripper pole that is in each room. Except that the one in my room was loose and missing a screw when my cousin was testing if it was sturdy or not by shaking it. Long story short the pole was missing a screw.

I'm not a hotel inspector or anything but you guys should probably get that fixed so you guys don't land a lawsuit on your hands. What if a strong enough earthquake was to knock it down? You never know.

Service was nice we had many ins and outs and a good volume of music and no complaints at all so it's a good place to have a shindig with 12 or so of your closest friends.

This review is based strictly on the venue. I've never stayed here.

I went here for a work event. Wow. Just wow. The staff did an incredible job with decorations, delicious appetizers (the beef sliders were the best!), a great bartender who happily made ridiculously complicated drinks, and such friendly servers.

The venue was breathtaking. I'm not sure what the area is called but it's on the second floor (four flights of stairs) and to the left once you exit the elevator (on the right if you take the stairs). There was a gorgeous indoor seating area perfect for mingling which led to the bar. It was a fully stocked large bar area with friendly faces to greet us.

The best part was the outdoor courtyard. I was absolutely floored when I saw how well structured it was with plenty of room for various groups to sit or stand and mingle. The only slightly awkward part is about 3-4 floors of rooms have a patio that overlooks the courtyard. Definitely a great event venue!

James Dean and Judy Garland sit just outside the entrance to this trendy boutique across the street from the historic Capitol Records building.  The flats are spacious, comfortable and filled with unique amenities, like a vinyl turntable, a capacious minibar and refrigerator, a small washer/dryer and kitchenette.  Great restaurants, Trader Joe's, Starbucks and the famous Pantages Theater are all within a short walking distance.  You can walk to Grauman's Chinese Theater (now TCL) in about 20 minutes.

Any visitor to Hollywood should be prepared for the grittiness of the surrounding area.  But you can ignore the tour hawkers and cheesy souvenir shops to see a mix of the historic and the new hipster in old Hollywood.

The Redbury staff are friendly and helpful.  We didn't try to hotel restaurant but it was hoppin' every night.

Part of the SBE hotel brands. This old style hotel but beautiful patio bar, can hosts some awesome events, lots of small trees planted into pots and red bricks which is the design of the building. I was there for the fitbitfun event that was there and it was fun, they took over the whole place even the hosted bar. I saw one of the hotel rooms and it was a suite style with kitchen sink and living room space.  It was cozy but wierdly laid out. Bed was facing the dining/living room without a separate door but some hotels were liked that, for sls pricing, too rich for me.

This is a tough one because there are definitely good things about this hotel - it is just not a good fit except for very specific customers.

If you are looking for a romantic, hipster, sexy experience - this place will probably work for you. The decor is excellent - a mix of old Hollywood, Art Deco and Modern decor. Vinyl LPs and a player in the room add a "cool" factor. The location is really good if you are going to be spending time in Hollywood or Beverly Hills.

Now - the reason for my MEH review.

All nights we were there, there was lack luster house-keeping - beds unmade, trash cans left full, towels not replaced - shower and counters not cleaned and no toiletries stocked. We came back to the room after being out all day to find it uncleaned day after day. We had to complain several times and have them send up TP and towels.

In addition to that, the way the room is set up is very impractical. The bathroom is open to the bedroom, there is no door - the toilet is in a small closet and the shower has frosted window through to the bedroom - anyone in the shower is visible to those in the other room. Unless this is your intention - it makes privacy impossible - that is why I would say that the rooms are only set up for couples who are seeking a romantic experience or someone by themselves (which wouldn't make much sense either, since the rooms are all massive enough to have a second bedroom in them). The shower itself has very low water pressure - we were told this was because of the old plumbing. The chairs in the kitchen for the table are horrible - everyone who sat there complained about how they cut your legs when you stand up. Cute chairs - but again - impractical for actual use.

I would say that someone was thinking more about decor and appearance than actual comfort and usefulness for the guests. Very Hollywood of them. :)

I won't be staying here again, but you might like it.

Absolute coolest place that I have ever stayed!
The service was amazing, the staff was attentive, the room was HUGE and magnificent - not enough good things to say about this place.  I traveled to Hollywood to see the Rick Springfield Walk of Fame ceremony and decided on staying at The Redbury after reading a review that mentioned "kind of looks like what you'd expect if Trent Reznor married Elizabeth Taylor".  The location was convenient for our trip itinerary and the place was just incredible.  Lots of attention to detail here.  It was pretty cool to be able to listen to Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet on the RECORD PLAYER in my room - haven't been able to play the album in years - the night before watching the Walk of Fame Ceremony the next morning.  Go and check this place out - you'll be happy that you did!

-The decor is awesome! Very old hollywood, sleek, and mysterious. I loved the Anna May Wong photo! She's awesome!
-The location is perfect right in the heart of hollywood.  There were a few convenience stores within walking distance and also a coffee bean and tea leaf!
-My favorite thing was the shower. I loved the shower head and the cool toiletries they have for you!

I will definitely stay again if they have a good deal going on !

Got a room for a birthday surprise party. Beautiful room and location is ideal. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Only problems were after checking out. We got accused of stealing an iPod dock that was NEVER in the room to start with AND charged an extra $200 dollars for "cleaning". Whatever mess was left was DEFINITELY not worth $200 dollars to clean up. Absolutely no damage was done to the room and there were not any accidents in the room either.

ROBBERY. Sneaky, ridiculous, and pure ROBBERY.

Not only that, the hotel never notified me about the situation of the "missing sound dock" or the extra charge. Upon leaving a friend of mine wanted to go back up to the room to grab an item she left behind. When she got to the room the maintenance guy was being extremely aggressive with her about the sound dock that the staff never even placed in there to begin with and when I asked the hotel what the deal was with him they couldn't even tell me who it was they asked me if we had gotten his name.

Finally after a day and a half of playing chase the Redbury and waiting around for a callback I call yet again to find out they apparently figured out the "missing sound dock" situation only to find they decided they want to charge me extra for cleaning.
If a hotel can't keep track of what staff is working on what rooms and where their expensive sound docks are why bother giving them my money? I was calling over and over being told I would be given a call back, but instead I had to chase them down. And the extra charge? I was notified by my bank.

I could see this happening at a poorly rated 1-star motel, but I never expected such poor customer  service from what I thought was a great place. Once they have your money they can care less.

Don't ever stay here. Once they have your info they'll want to have fun and try to charge whatever they can get out of you. I will 100% never be staying here ever again and I definitely will not be recommending it to any friends or people I meet.

Stay here for a bachelorette party this past weekend. It was way better than I thought. The rooms are HUGE. And the 24hr room service was perfect for late night drunks.

I had to call 3 times before I got my 2 grilled cheeses at 3am though...but thats just me being a needy drunk. When the grilled cheeses finally came they were amazing. They came with this mayo dipping sauce yuuuuuuuuuuumm.

Also they carried the blow up mattress straight to the room for us which was amazing cause I didn't even know if they'd allow us to bring it in.

The rooms come with a recorded player too! and they have a library you can choose from. Super hip.

You'd think when you drop 1,000 for a suite with a few friends, they would make sure the semen stains have been washed off of the couches... Absolutely disgusting!

We loved the Redbury...the best hotel we've stayed at for a long time. The room was vintage shabby-chic..which was very fun. The balcony looked out onto Vine which offered great people watching at night and a sunny cup of coffee in the morning. This is definitely THE place to stay when going to Pantages.

I haven't stayed in a lot of hotels out here in LA, but The Redbury is probably one of my favorite hotels! I stay here with friends whenever I'm in town and I have friends playing the venue next door. The rooms are huge, providing a little kitchen and living space area which is great for hanging out and allowing you to feel comfortable while you're there. It's a great location and is located around a lot of awesome restaurants and you can take a stroll down Hollywood blvd. it's got old Hollywood decor and has a boutique feel.

Definitely not the cheapest hotel you're going to find, but it's worth a visit and stay, or even just a trip to the library bar located in the hotel.

We booked the room on hotwire and got a good deal for the area. The only downside is the parking, where you are forced to find parking away from the hotel or pay $40 to valet. The architecture inside the lobby is amazing and expected after reading the reviews. Our room was very clean and the bed super comfy, located on the 7th floor

Sexy & exciting spot especially in the library and lounge area.  Great atmosphere and food was awesome.  Great place for people-watching too, check out the hotel right upstairs!

Absolutely amazing! I can't think of one bad thing to say about the place, but can't stop with the superlatives on all the things they do well. Thought it'd be best if I just list them.

Friendly staff: they really do care about giving guests a great experience. One of their doorman will drive you anywhere for free.

Great room: 700 sq ft with outstanding decor including a washer/dryer. Record player also with awesome records to choose from.

Great location: Hollywood & Vine, the most epic corner in LA history. Didn't even leave area much. So much to do.

Awesome building: nice history, was remodeled to be condos (I'd buy one) and we get the rewards of the finished product.

Staff: Yes, I mentioned that already, but it deserves more mentions. Even my maid made my day. She left me extra coffee and smiled so real. She said 'have a great day' and I did.

So much I left out. If you can get a room, get it.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I accidentally booked room for same day on wrong day through travelocity phone app. I called Rebecca the night manager and explained what happened. She bluntly told me she would not refund/exchange or simply change date to correct travel date due to there 24 hour policy. I was appalled. After 2 days of arguing with staff to get it resolved it was not. I just took a lost of the $400 dollars. I'd rather loose the money that stay at that hotel with those inhuman staff at Redbury. I just booked a suite at the W instead. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

One of the most uniquely decorated boutique hotels around set at one of the most historic locations at Hollywood and Vine.

A true hotel to be seen at (that is IF you want to be seen). The hotel is also just a stones throw from the Pantages for show goers.

What you won't find: Pool, bathtubs, and dual sinks.

What you will find are uniquely appointed apartments with laundry machines, fully equipped kitchens, spacious bathrooms, rain showers, and record players. My album came with a selection of Lou Rawls, Coltrane, Hall and Oates, Allman Brothers and Wang Chung.

Although you might hear reviews about noise, my balcony which overlooked the Capitol Records building and the alley way for the rock club next door was tightly sealed.  If you are going to sleep before 10, then don't stay here.  I didn't here a thing.

Downstairs is a great cozy bar called The Library which has an outdoor courtyard.  Additionally Cleo serves a great breakfast but is open til 11 for dinner with Mediterranean tapas.

The hotel is well themed with a Flower Power motif, paisley wallpapers, psychadelic rock music, Fillmore posters, and darkly lit hallways lines with photos of Jean Harlow and Marlene Dietrich.

Special shouts go to Diego Virginia and Roslyn (?) for making me feel at home for a couple days.

Valet parking is $35 a night, internet is $10.

If you get the chance and like something new, stay here at least once.

I had the pleasure of attending a bachelorette party and spending the night  at one of the suites here. I must say the suites are very elegant but a bit pricey, one night was around $500 but if you split it up with 5 or 6 girlfriends its not too bad. The decor and space is amazing, we could of easily accommodated a party of 20 people in this room. The living room area had a nice sofa bed that we pulled out at the end of the night and the regular bed was very comfortable. There was a huge kitchen area with dishes to use and a double sink which was nice, lots of bar stools and there even was a stripper pole at the end of the long table. And to accommodate the smokers there was a nice balcony with plenty of seating. We really had a memorable night and I would definitely stay at one of these nice suites again to celebrate a special occasion.

First of all the location is unbeatable, and the restaurant? Unmatched. But what stuck out to me the most was the hospitality and respect shown from hotel staff, specifically John (who I am assuming is security) and the hotel manager, (didn't catch his name). These two gentlemen were beyond accommodating, and took extra measures to ensure that me experience here was nothing short of top-flight. When I think of 5 star treatment from 5 star employees, these two come to mind immediately. I will be returning here during my next trips to LA. And I highly recommend that you do to, because trust me.. this is how a 5 star business is ran.

One of the few nicer bars in Hollywood. I highly recommend getting here around 7-8pm to have a quiet drink with some friends near the bar or on their nice patio area. Don't bother coming here after 9pm unless you like the douche-y, overcrowded Hollywood scene. Make sure you try their signature Vineberry martini.

Let me start bybsaying this is one of my favorite hotels anywhere. I have stayed at a few of Sam's hotels and they are usually really right on. This stay was slightly different.

The room was great, even though it was a little loud at night the excellent staff at the front desk told me before I checked in and asked if I wanted to upgrade,  but I was fine with it. The noise didn't bother me.

The units used to have washer and dryers in each one and that's one of the things that was a nice touch and definitely separated them from the pack. It would have been nice to have known that before booking.

The floor in unit 209 in the kitchen is coming up and at night I tripped over it. I was fine no big deal but should def be fixed.

That's the only reason it lost 2 stars. Staff was excellent as usual. Hopefully it will be fixes before my next stay.

Bedbugs. In room 313.

I stayed at the Hollywood Redbury during a business trip from January 20th, 2015, to January 25th. The first morning I work up with a couple bites on my left arm, but didn't think much of it. I figured it was a mosquito or something. The next morning I woke up covered in bites. All over my hands, ankles, neck, arms - over 25 bites - it was awful. They itched, ached, bleed - I wish I could post the pictures I took.

The worst part was how I was treated by the Redbury Hotel staff. Despite seeing all the bites on my body and taking pictures of them, they continuously questioned my claim and fought against my refusal to pay for my stay. (My company was paying for my stay, but out of principle I felt I had to refuse payment.)

More than anything though, no one ever apologized for the incident. I don't mean to sound childish, but when your body is covered in bite marks, you deserve some sympathy. Go ahead and fake it, but at least seem somewhat sympathetic.

And at the very least, an apology is in order. An apology for that you had to spend an entire day at the hotel talking with different members of the staff, washing your clothes, then moving your belongings to another room.

That's all I was really asking for.

But I'm still waiting.

Stay away from the Redbury Hotel.

She's cheer captain
And I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time at...THE REDBURY! - Taylor Swift (you belong with me)

Located almost in the heart of Hollywood, this is an ideal hotel to stay at if you want to party the night away with so many places within walking distance. Keep in mind where you are -- this hotel is not sound proof from the "late night crowd" so if you plan on sleeping early and you're a light sleeper...and with that being said...

I LOVED STAYING HERE!! I'm always on the lookout for hotels that will surprise me and make me remember why it's different from your normal expected luxury hotel. I understand when you're on a romantic getaway or sometimes with your family you want to stay somewhere that's "a safe choice" with the nice rooms and all the amenities but nothing that you wouldn't expect.

The Redbury is one of those awesome exceptions that you'll remember who you were with. In addition to everything that you would expect from a nice hotel, they also had a record player with about ten records to choose from and a stocked kitchen with a stove!! We fully made use of the record player as I got to dance the night away with my gummy bear to very old songs lol! Not only that, we woke up early in the morning and went to the Hollywood farmer's market (open every sunday starting at 8 am) which was located less than 5 mins walking from the hotel!! We bought all the ingredients to make some lovely omelets and the hotel provided us with everything we needed.

PS if you love the red color theme - you will love staying here :)

Man, this sucks to not be able to leave 5 stars because the hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL. It looks like something straight out of old Hollywood.

Wow, okay. Where to begin? My stepdad booked me a room for my birthday with our family Expedia account. I'm on the travelers list on this account, so when he's booked other rooms for me in the past, this has never been an issue. Well, it's a HUGE issue here.

After a nightmare 3 1/2 hour drive from Palm Springs, I attempted to check in. I gave the front desk girl the name on the reservation as well as my ID and a credit card, and she told me I wouldn't be able to check in without speaking to my stepdad, since it wasn't technically my name on the reservation. She said just for HER security and so she felt okay about it, I needed to have him call. Okay, I thought. I'll just call my stepdad and have him call the front desk. Then began this whole big debacle of me calling my stepdad, having him call the girl, and me showing her my stepdad's Expedia account on my phone with my name listed in big bold letters under authorized travelers on the account. Meanwhile, my guest and I had been sitting there with all of our luggage in the lobby for 30 minutes.

Finally, with my stepdad on the phone, I thought, "Great. He'll authorize my check-in, and we can finally unload our luggage." Nope. Enter the the all-powerful Kevin. He actually came up to the girl while she was talking to my stepdad and said, "No. This is a prepaid room, so we won't be checking anyone in without the person who booked it being here." The girl proceeded to tell my stepdad he'd have to be there (obviously, he couldn't be as we live in Palm Springs), and gave him a hard time on the phone, as well. She informed him he'd have to call Expedia and change the name on the reservation or I was s.o.l. She told me she believed me, but we needed to call Expedia.

Annoyed, but also being sympathetic to protocols and customer service things that are out of our control, I walked off to what had become our reject couch in the lobby. 45 minutes had passed since we had arrived, and it was sort of stressful because we had tickets to Wicked, so every minute of a delay felt horrible.

Now, all of this would've been well and good because I can't blame anyone if the Redbury has anal rules regarding check in. I get it, I really do. But PLEASE tell me why Kevin allowed two little young, blonde thangs with big boobs to check in within 5 minutes without their mother being there? They simply waltzed up to the desk, said it was their mother's name on the reservation, she wouldn't be there for another 3 hours, but they wanted to check in, anyway. Kevin has a type, apparently, because he just handed them two keys without collecting a credit card or ID or anything. Within minutes, they were taken care of.

At that point, it had been an hour since arriving. It finally got the point where I was enraged, so I just called Expedia myself. I told them that the front desk was refusing to check me in because we used the family Expedia account, and the man working with Expedia actually told me he was mortified and that shouldn't be happening. He told me he would call the front desk and placed me on hold. Our reject couch was right next to the front desk, so I heard the entire conversation go down. From what I could gather, the Expedia man called Kevin, got his name, and questioned him as to why they were being so difficult with my check in. Kevin proceeded to lie and say he wasn't present when I tried to check in, and the Expedia man got his name again. By the time the man from Expedia came back to my end of the line, he told me not to worry, KEVIN will be taking care of me, and there would no further issues. I thanked him profusely and finally went to check in.

Kevin then continued his little string of lies and acted all noble by telling me HE had gotten in touch with Expedia and everything was well and good, as if I didn't just witness the entire thing go down, and as if he were in any way responsible for alleviating the stress of simply trying to check in. The only thing that kept me from snapping was the fact that they upgraded us to a Sunset View Suite since we're Expedia Gold Members. Although, I don't think they would've done that at all if Kevin didn't just get scolded by my Expedia hero. He insincerely apologized for the inconvenience, but it had become abundantly clear at that point that he was just on a power trip, protocol or not.

The horrendous customer service continued when I needed a glass of soda water. I walked down to the bar and asked for a glass (it was 3:50), and the hostess told me they weren't open until 4, but their sister restaurant across the street was open. I couldn't help but laugh as I walked half a block to get my one glass of soda water, and thought how unfortunate it was that such a beautiful hotel was lowered in value by such a pretentious staff.

Decor and location are the only saving graces here.

This hotel is one of my favorites in Hollywood for many reasons...
First, the location is idea for a nice weekend visit to LA, central to Hollywood , Weho, Runyon and a quick drive to DTLA.

Second, the atmosphere of Cleo is so well done, the vibe is warm and approachable, the style of the staff is on point and the guest rooms are designed in such a way that makes you want to live there.

Third, Cleo is one of the best restaurants in the city and is located on the ground floor. Perfect for a after work drink with friends, or in-room delivery.

Fourth, the staff here really understands hospitality and went over and above to make sure that my stay was perfect. They gave me comp passes to the local gym, they helped me with reservations across town, they invited me to the cocktail study happening in the Library... all very friendly!
Philip the GM is also very attentive and welcomed me with a nice amenity and even encouraged me to come back to stay at the Redbury for my next trip to LA
Cant wait to go back!

Simply stunning! This hotel is so unique that even being an LA native makes me want to stay here for a few nights.
One of my best friends was staying here for her wedding and her pictures just came out beautiful. There's so much color in this hotel and it's so different that what you're used to.

If you're looking for a gorgeous hotel to get ready in (or even have your ceremony/reception) and you can swing this price tag, do it! It's absolutely stunning!
