OMG are their rates crazy or what?! I know it has been a few years since I stayed here, but $535 for an April 2006 booking? It was very romantic, but this is not even PGA season is it? Sigh. Guess they have to pay the huge loan off for the re-sale of a few years ago.

We stayed here for one night because my husband won a golf tournament and this was the prize. Otherwise I would never pay the outrageous rate. An overnight stay is up to about 700 bucks these days. If you want to golf, that will be another $400.
Why do people pay this much ??? Yes, the scenery is gorgeous, but you can come here and take pictures for free! Or eat an overpriced lunch and enjoy the scenery for a little bit longer.
It's not that I am a total cheapskate. Hubby and I have paid 300 bucks a night to stay at some nice places in Hawaii. But we had better service in HI, and the weather is always perfect, not like in Monterey, where you FREEZE YOUR CULO OFF most of the time.

My overall stay was fantastic!  It was my birthday weekend and we were there to golf.  Although it was very pricey, the Pebble Beach course was overwhelmingly beautiful. As an avid golfer, it's one for the bucket list.  The room was nice and the service was good, but I did expect more for the rates.

On a recent trip to Monterey, my fiance and I decided to take 17 Mile Drive (which is beautiful and worth the fee), and ended at the Inn at Spanish Bay. After hearing about how beautiful it was from my parents, who had recently stayed there on a golf vacation, we decided to have a drink. Unfortunately it was raining and we could not sit on the patio - but they have a large patio with fire pits that overlook the ocean. In addition, a bagpiper walks through the fog around 5PM and plays while walking toward the hotel. It is a truly cool experience and a beautiful place to have a drink. The hotel lobby is beautiful, and the rooms luxurious (according to my parents).

Are you a part of Duke's Club? Because you should be. Rounds of golf, dinner reservations, and letting me drive your lexus? Such a perfect place! And if money is the issue, don't come here. Come here to relax and have someone else worry about your money problems! Take a breather, and have a great round of golf followed by some paloosh :)

If you are complaining about money , prices and how much everything cost. Please go spend your vacation to the pier in Monterey at the best western, you will have a better time. If you are a real golfer and want to enjoy a great experience, you can stay at Spanish bay inn  for 2 night , play the golf course and play Pebble beach the next day with a caddy . Also eat at Peppoli, one of the best restaurant around. The hotel is very nice and the service is impeccable . Had a great weather since the season is starting right now, I will come back next year at he same period.

Views, staff, amenities, drinks, superb!  Although we won a 2 night stay and golf for 2 for 2 days, we extended our stay for another night.  Comfortable and classic CA atmoshere.  Comfy without being east coast stodgy.  When you check in you are spead thru the process without a hundred questions.  You are then led to your room where you have a chance to ask anything you might have asked the front desk staff.  GREAT idea!  Get in and out quickly.  Rooms are large, bathrooms are designed with two people in mind.  We ate at both restaurants and both had ocean views from all tables.  Had a waiter at the P restaurant who was dingy, kept getting our orders wrong.  (happy birthday instead of anniversary on our dessert plate).  Got our appetizer wrong too.  This is one of my top 5 resorts in the world!  Def coming back.  Only suggestion would be that they find softer towels like Ojai Valley Inn has.  Nice and large, just rough.  Also another great EXTRA, free food and soda's in the room everyday.  Just a small thing, but so nice to not be handing out $ at every turn.  NOTE:  there is a $25 service charge/day to cover all tips (except restaurant).  Free shuttle service.  EXCELLENT GOLF Natch!

Wonderful stay. Great service, beautiful location, extremely comfortable rooms.
If you are ok with the rates, be sure to spend enough time on property to enjoy. Sitting out on the patios by a fire pit, with the ocean crashing, enjoying a glass of wine, not a bad day!

We had a large groups and the drinks were great, although they were overpriced. The Susnet MArgarita was very Margaritay! the Pineapple cosmo was strong and Piñaful, and the liquer drinks made you warm and tipsy. OVerall great drinks. DREW was our server, and everything about him was great, good attitude, service, demeaner, funny, etc.  he was very attentive and helpful.. And to top it all off, the scenery was wonderful at sunset. Particularly with the Bagpiper between 545-630pm coming from the golf course

This place really needs an overhall of all the management I think. After years of liking this place something has gone wrong.Too many things to write here but promises made and not kept are not acceptable. Its kind of odd that all the reviews (handful) are old.Makes one think.Roy's is the exception recommend eating here but not staying.

This is a gorgeous, beach-side, world famous golf resort property. Service was excellent, the outdoor areas are cozy and comfortable and in town are some great shops. I had one of the best massages at the Spa. Oh, and the crab eggs benedict was one of the best breakfasts I have had in years. If golf is your thing, this is a good place to stay.
Years ago, they used to allow registered guests the use of a convertible Lexus for two hours, but I don't know if they still do that. If they do, reserve it and go for a spin. It's a great amenity.

Wow!!! What a beautiful place. All of Carmel and Pebble Beach. Golfing the 3 courses was on my husbands bucket list... it was my birthday gift. We had a room facing the ocean on the first hole. Every morning we'd watch the deer graze and entertained us just outside our balcony.
I preferred this property over the Lodge because I wanted a few less people and quiet, and we got more than we had ever anticipated. The service was excellent. Food and drinks too were the best.. drinks a little expensive, but if you're looking for inexpensive, this is not the place for you.
OH!!!! and it helped we had the BEST weather!!!
Didn't want to leave... but then went to Carmel by the Sea and stayed there for 2 additional nights, also wonderful.

If golfing these 3 or 4 courses is your thing.... I STRONGLY RECOMMEND A CADDIE. And the best one is Gene. Had him on 3 of the 4 courses and he knows his stuff, been doing it for over 22 years and he's pretty entertaining too.

Shockingly unfortunate, but I have had the WORST possible customer service experience with Pebble Beach Resorts.  Too long to explain, but I'm posting everywhere, to everyone I know and everyone I meet through work or pleasure,  strongly discouraging the patronage of such a business.  Stick to Post Ranch Inn or anywhere else.  PBI, you're "selling" a lovely experience, not a living nightmare.  TERRIBLE.

I love the room, it's quite big and the view to golf course and the bay. Its equipped with high quality amenities, free water and valet. We went there for New Year Celebration, costed $395 per person but free champagne, wine and cocktails including caviar and lobsters etc. We really enjoyed it and had a blast. The service are also professional and friendly.
