This place is not bad... Of course it is no Marriott in Beijing but this place serves its purpose.  There are no slippers, the room is average, guess I am too spoiled from staying at the Marriott in Beijing.  What makes up for everything is the staff is really nice and accommodating.

never been in the area before.. but i did enjoy our stay at the marriott. It was close to everything.. grocery stores/restauarnts/ banks.. everything. it was very nice, clean, quiet, has a little shop for midnight snacks, nice restaurant/lounge/bar.  I'd definitely stay here again.

At first I was concerned about the freeway noise. Turns out the noise from my neighbors was much worst. I could here TVs, water running and people talking. The bed and room are nice, but I did not like the extra noise.

Kind of hit and miss.

As mentioned in other reviews, the aircon seemed kind of weak and inconsistent. And we needed it since it was quite hot.

Also, this place is not cheap. For the area it's probably medium price, though.

One of the guys at the front desk is a total space case. When we saw I was part of a wedding party (he even asked if I was in the wedding and I said no) and I asked about the shuttle to the wedding location, he started trying to explain how the shuttle planning had to be just right for timing, blah blah. I had no connection to coordinating the timing, so this was all a pointless conversation (not to mention that it was a very disoriented conversation anyway - if I was coordinating anything I wouldn't have felt very secure, lol). I was polite and listened, but in the end we decided to drive to the wedding instead.

Things that were great:

Our room was really quiet (we were at the very end of the building) and the blackout curtains worked really well.

The younger people from the wedding took over the lounge after we were kicked out of the wedding venue at 9pm, and we proceeded to get rowdier and rowdier for the 2 hours more that it was serving. We were there for at least another hour on top of that and I'm not actually convinced the one put-upon bartender really actually totally stopped serving at 11. I don't blame him. He had a bunch of thirsty customers wanting to drink!

Anyway, despite being hit and miss, I have some great memories of a fun time here (some anyway... some of it is a blur). :)

I stayed here for a week as a Marriott Platinum Elite member and my experience with this hotel was absolutely awful. They could not provide me a shuttle to get to my conference on time even when promised a ride, they're laundry machines were broken, they did not call me when I asked them to, as if they could care less about keeping me happy. The beds were awful, the rooms smelled bad, do not stay here! I've stayed at courtyards literally thousands of nights in my last 12 years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Sorry.

I usually stay at courtyard marriotts when I traveled for business and they've always served me well.

Well, the streak has ended and I'm very unhappy with the service.

We had a wedding to attend and checked in like usual and went to the room.  Everything was on ... I mean everything!  the T.V., window was open, a/c was on, all the lights were on, curtains were open, ironing board out, garbage everywhere, bed wasn't made, etc.

How can you tell someone when you check in that the room is waiting and there are clean towels!  Anyhow, my GF called and kindly let them know that the rooms hasn't been serviced and is a mess.  She told me that they are sending someone up to the room asap.  Well, she leaves since she has to help w/ the wedding across the lake ( psh, lake my ass.  it's a retention pond) and I was suppose to help.  Well, the ceremony progress and I could not attend because I was waiting for Courtyard to service the room.  45min. later, no one came knocking so I had to call again and I'm irked at this pt. but I was trying to be positive.  ~25 min. later a service lady comes and gets right to work.  She was awesome 'cuz she busted her ass to get the room clean while I wait to shower, shave, etc. etc. so I can attend the ceremony.  Even though she busted her ass, it wasn't fast enough because I only caught a few min. of the ceremony!

Oh, and to piss me off more ... a note stating that Courtyard was sorry for tomorrows inconvenience from noon to 5pm due to unforeseen occurrence, we can't use running water. WTF!

I cannot recommend this place due to the lack of follow thru on managements end when I need the damn room cleaned.

This is by far the worst Courtyard Marriott and on that note, The parking lot is sooo cramped when it's packed that if there are non compact cars parked next to ea. other, it would require a 16 point. turn to get the fuck out.  You know it's bad when I am a fucking awesome driver and can parallel park in S.F. in one motion.

compounded problems one after the other, get your shit together

This is a very nice place and in a beautiful location for those of you seeking nearby golf activity or just to get away from the downtown zoo if there's a major event.

I know most of the people that work there, including the Hotel Mgr.  So if there's any issues, feel free to post here and I can forward the info' to them because they care about you staying there.

I've stayed in one of their rooms for a couple nights back when the firestorm went through.  Marriott hooked up a lot of locals who lost their homes during the aftermath.  They are a great business in that beautiful community.

Restaurants are all over the place nearby.  So if you're not sure where to eat, they know how to help you decide.  Enjoy!

And yet another great deal on Priceline. I AM THE master negotiator, and pulled this reservation for $60/night.

This hotel is located in a nicely landscaped business park-ish area in Rancho Bernardo...which is about 18 miles from downtown. While this isn't the greatest place to stay if you're looking to get liquored downtown...it does the trick if you're OK with being the D.D. We had planned to hit the Wild Animal park, so this was prime jumping off point for that.

This is your standard decent business hotel. Ample safe parking, nice lobby with VERY friendly desk staff. Clean, bright and pleasant common areas, and a very small but cozy and comfortable room. We enjoyed the living room area they snuck in next to the bed.

Another bonus is the beautiful man made lake just steps away. It was nice to take a walk before heading out to dinner.

I always have a great stay here. If your arriving late, stop and pick up the snacks ahead of time, nothing really close by late at night. Rooms are very nice and always clean. The service is friendly. Great breakfast buffet at a fair price.

I stay here because it's close to my work project during the week. I've stayed her for about 15 nights over the past 2 months.

- Good location if you need to be in the area: banks, CVS, supermarkets, restaurants all very close.
- Good rates.
- Excellent and friendly staff. All the front receptionists remember me by name, follow-up on all my requests promptly, and know my preferences each time. The waiter during breakfast is a one-man show. Pours your coffee, gets you drinks, handles special requests, etc... Gotta show him some love with a tip.

I wish I didn't have to give this place a bad review, since all the staff are wonderful, but in summary:
- The room heating system is very old. I left it on during a cold evening and my throat was completely dried out. They need some kind of humidifier, or a more gentle heating system.
- The amenities are bare-bones... You get generic shampoo, generic conditioner, and a stick of soap that dries your skin bad - that's it.

Do NOT go here when it's hot.  Their AC units don't work.  Well, they do, for like 5mins and then for the next 10mins they'll blow out warm/humid air x_X  Called multiple times to get it fixed and all the technician could do was tell us that 50 other rooms were experiencing the same thing.  Um...if 50 other rooms at your hotel are experiencing this, wouldn't you change your AC system?  I'm SURE this isn't your first hot wave since you've been open T_T

Stayed here for 2 nights and after the first horrid humid night of sweating, we asked to be switched to another room and all they could tell us was that they were booked solid but after someone checks out, they'll give us a call.  Funny, when we came back, the girl that told us that "left" the new girl taking over a note about that.  Yeah, thanks for putting it inside a booklet and NOT telling the new girl anything about it.

Their pool is also disgusting.  Full of bugs and bees swooping in for water x_X  It was also very salty...I know, gross-_-

The room was fine if you forgot about the AC.  I had the room with the king bed.

So...unless you're getting a discount to stay here ($79), I would NOT recommend staying here during the summer.

Booked 2 rooms for $67 a piece using Priceline for a family thanksgiving/golf getaway.

I'm a huge fan of the Courtyard Marriott brand and this one, like all the others, doesn't blow you away but get's the job done...like a Girls Gone Wild infomercial.

Efficient check-in, free parking, free wi-fi and about 20 minutes from downtown SD.  Vons, fast-food and every bank in America was literally a minute away by automobile.

Misc: this Courtyard did not offer HD channels...which would have helped for those aforementioned infomercials

Stayed here only for a night with two other friends.  We were here for my friend's wedding which took place at Webb Park (just behind the hotel) and Pearl.  Ideal location if you're having a wedding at those places.  It's walkable distance if you just walk towards the back where the pool is so you don't have to worry about drunk guests driving.  For that fact in itself it's great.  We didn't use the amenities really since it was just for a night but there wasn't any loud noise when we did fall asleep and location was ideal.  All in all can't beat that.

Had a GREAT experience at this Courtyard Marriott. I see mixed reviews, I was just there two weeks ago and stayed for 3 nights. I had nothing but a great experience.Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were really clean, offered a fridge for food and a microwave. Seems sad to mention those last two things, but now a days it's almost impossible to find those two small things (refidgerator and microwave) when traveling.
Beds were nice, coffee maker in room with creamer and sugar, etc. Plenty of towels which is also something a lot of hotels will be a bit more stingy about.

Over all great experience.

I think the young mans name was Andrew, I may be incorrect but I had to call down to the front desk a couple of times and he was always so helpful and met every request I gave to him.

Enjoyed my stay and would stay there again or recommend this place to anyone staying in that area.

My family stayed here for about 2 1/2 weeks and def coming back if we need to. I recommend it.

Rooms/Suites are clean but bit small compare to Radisson. It comes with microwave and ref. Big and comfy King bed and lots of pillows. Updated TV, cabinets and free Wi-Fi.
We have a good view from the window.
Close to grocery stores, restaurants and 15 frwy.
The Staff esp Theresa and Melissa are very helpful.
Thanks!

It smelled like foot in my room and the elevators. The room is kind of small and suffocating the way the furniture is arranged. It should have been cheaper. There is no continental breakfast. If I were you, I would stay at the Rancho Bernardo Radisson instead of the Courtyard in Rancho Bernardo. The Radisson had free breakfast and a free adult beverage in the evening.

I tried to go down for breakfast and there are no signs or directions about how to choose your buffet because they have 3 different ones. I was completely ignored by all staff even though I was clearly confused and waiting.  I had forgone maid service in exchange for vouchers towards food. Now I know how they get you...they don't even help you so you don't use the voucher and you also don't use the maid service.

Don't come here. The walls are also paper thin.

A/C unit in our room kept making the loudest and worst noise over and over throughout the day.  They would send up a tech who sadly had NO units to replace our screaming unit with.  FINALLY after calling the front desk 12 times or so throughout the day at 2 AM the person at the front desk moved us to a room WITH a working A/C.  The restaurant messed up our breakfast order terribly.  Nobody offered to make it right in any way.  As I was checking out, the power went out and we had to hump our lugage down the stairs because the elevators didn't work.  Our two day stay was miserable.  My family is in the hospitality industry and I was SHOCKED there was no appology nor effort made to turn around the horible experience.  Find ANYWHERE esle to stay.

Stay there for 4 days. Good: the environment is good (it is next to a beautiful lake and a pretty good Chinese restaurant ) checking in is easy, hotel staff is friendly and the room is clean. Bad: it is next to I15, and our room is facing it, so, not much of a view and we can hear some freeway noise, also, breakfast is not included. Overall I would give it 3.75 star.

It was a good deal for $75 the night. It was clean and perfect for a nights stay. Comfortable bed and in a secluded location that makes you feel safe.

The breakfast buffet (11 per person +tax) was just confusing. They sit you down like it's a restaurant but have 5 different type of buffets but they all end up letting you have whatever you want. And the waffles aren't that good. It was just a weird experience.

But besides that everything went swell.

I'm a Marriott Rewards whore. Only because I happen to attend/staff three conventions that are in the same Marriott hotel in Los Angeles. I adore that hotel.

This one isn't bad. It's about the same fare as all Courtyard hotels, except that it's a little tiny bit more upscale. Not by much. The towels are folded in a fancy way, the keycard is proximity-based, the rooms are clean and airy. There's a fridge, coffee pot and microwave. The drawer and wardrobe options are spacious for two to three people.

We tried the restaurant. The food left much to be desired, and the drinks were hit-and-miss a few times on the amount of syrup. The chicken quesadilla was pretty good, but the chicken pasta was bland and flavorless (its saving grace were the sundried tomatoes which were excellent).

The atmosphere is nice and refined, and the grounds well groomed. It is inviting, but it's still a Courtyard Marriott. If I could afford it, I'd rather stay at a full-fledged Marriott. Also, whoever designed the parking lot either owns a Smart or was on crack. The space lines are either missing, or they're too small or short to park a small minivan into. I had to do the asshole move and park in two spaces because all the other spaces were horrible.

Also, damned low-flow toilets.

I applaud the wait staff and all of the staff of this Courtyard Marriott. You put up with shit from the guests, and if I could tip you all, I would. You are amazing and I respect you.

It's pricey for my review since I'm here for Comic Con. I'm sure it's reasonable when the city isn't flooded with wannabes, nerd, geeks, dorks, cosplayers, furries and "norms".

Stayed a night while on business travel, and I have to say it's a pretty nice place to call "home" while on the road.  The location is convenient, with groceries and food within walking distance.  The room has no particular frills, but it was clean and the king bed was soft and comfy.  It's also helpful that there were 2 power outlets available at the desk, which was perfect for the 2 laptops I lug around with me.  My biggest quibble is with the showerhead in the bathroom, as I couldn't adjust the height and spray quite to my liking.

Thanks to the corporate rate I was staying on, I had a free breakfast included.  Eggs, bacon, sausage, and french toast were available in a small buffet, and there was an omelet station as well to get something that hadn't been sitting on a steam plate for a while.  Nothing earthshattering, but good enough to start my day.

The staff overall were friendly and helpful.  In particular, the front desk was nice enough to put me on the 4th floor above the girls soccer camp (or whatever it was) so I could get some rest.

Lastly, for fellow geeks, the internet access wasn't too shabby for a hotel.  I had to pull some data from a home server on fios, and it peaked out at 300KB/s, though I'd call it very "bursty" and it would often dip down to less than 100KB/s before climbing back up to the peak.  (For reference, my fios line can upload around 600KB/s and sustain that pretty well.)  Seems like a more and more rare feature to have, but they also have ethernet cables / ports you could plug into, which is pretty helpful if the wireless signal in your room is terrible.

Overall, I'd come back if I had to work out here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 3 year old for a mini vacation.  This hotel is definitely not luxurious, but I have zero complaints!  We had a great stay!

The room was standard, very clean, and very comfy.  We had a view of the pretty park behind the hotel.  We used the pool and jacuzzi...they were both very clean.  There were plenty of fresh towels stacked at the entrance to the pool.

The highlight of our stay however was the breakfast buffet.  Not because of our food, even though we thoroughly enjoyed it, but because of our server Pairy.  This woman was such a joy!  She tended to our every need and was super attentive with our little one.  After our first day there he kept asking us when we could go to visit Pairy again.  She put a smile on all of our faces and made us feel special.  The breakfast wasn't anything out of this world, but a great deal for $11.  To those that have complained about the breakfast....stop whining!!!!  You get eggs made to order or an omelette with just about any fillings you can think of, sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, fresh Belgian waffles, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, granola, fruit, bread, pastries, juice, coffee....and so on.  Who's complaining about variety?  What else do you want for $11????

The rest of the staff were always very nice and accommodating.  There was fresh coffee in the lobby and they even let us stay until 1pm on our last day so we could swim for a while.

The surrounding area was also very nice and quiet with lots of great restaurants to choose from.  The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is only a very short drive away.

At $60 a night from Priceline, it doesn't get much better.

we went with a large group, and i don't think they were prepared for us.

THE GOOD:
water pressure in the shower was good
free wi-fi
barbeque area by the pool was awesome
large work area in the room (and the desk isn't right next to the air conditioner like the escondido location)
business printer downstairs was a lifesaver **FREE!!** (they have a computer with internet access there too)
nice little exercise Room w water and towels.  yes, they have free weights

THE BAD:
when i first got to the pool, i noticed the regular pool towels. sometime while swimming, the towels on the cart were swapped out to these cheap, thin, small hand towels.  thinking they would restock, i didn't grab some.  by the time we got out of the pool, there were no more towels, and we were forced to drip water all over the floors while hurrying back to our room, shivering in the cold.
(*tip* there's towels in the exercise room.  i grabbed one from there the next night)

bring your own quarters for the washer. the front desk will pretend they don't have enough and give you change for only a dollar.
they charge more for the washer here (vs escondido) because there is an automatic soap dispenser, but it was broken and no soap actually made it into the machine.

all of the ice makers had stopped functioning by saturday morning, leaving us iceless for two days.

stuffy rooms, even with the air on

hot hallway, even hotter laundry room

VERY heavy doors with auto-closers.  they were too hard for grandma to open, and they slammed shut loudly.  you could lose a finger if you're not careful

no cookies (they supposedly have them in the evening, but i never saw them.  and trust me, i was looking.  i even called the front desk to ask)

breakfast tickets. (yes, they check here.  no sneaking in with your team)

parking sucks.  the lot fills up early.  no late night runs to the store, or else you'll lose your spot.

puddles of water near the barbecue area.  wear capris or your feet and pant hems will get wet

loud, noisy people at pool at night.  party city, i tell you. (no, it wasn't us. lol)

Booked one night at this hotel since it was close to a wedding we attended. Pleasantly surprised by the quick check-in and check-out, King sized bed, Paul Mitchell amenities and we even hopped in the pool. Great value for the price. There was a large group of families also staying at the hotel, looked like a softball tournament, so the pool got crowded quickly when they returned, but other than that, no complaints.

I have stayed at this particular hotel more than a handful of times now, thanks to Priceline.  I usually pay $60/night via Priceline, which is a total deal.  The bf and I love the location because it's more low-key and quiet than staying in downtown SD.  It's pretty much a 20 to 25 minute drive everywhere and even the freeways aren't so congested.  In fact, the freeway is located pretty close to the hotel.

I love that the room has a strong AC because I love being cold and snuggling underneath the blanket when I'm sleeping.  They also have a fridge and a microwave available in the room, which the bf and I often use and look for in a hotel.  I do wish the bedding was a little bit nicer and softer.  The TV is a smart tv so we were able to hook up the tv to our laptop with an hdmi cable and watch Netflix.  That was a plus!  They do have good cable channels available as well.  Love the free wi-fi.  The only thing I'd change is that the toilet flushes way too loudly.  It's bad enough that it echoes in the bathroom.  The flushing sound is even more magnified in there.  I mean, I appreciate the industrial strength type flush but it's so freakin' loud!  I literally winced every time I flushed the toilet.  I tend to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night at least twice and I was seriously afraid the toilet flush would wake up my sleeping bf!  Aside from that, this place is great.  In fact, we're already booked again in February 2013 for the bf's birthday.

Was a favorite, but major renovations replaced what was a great breakfast buffet option with made to order omelets, with an overpriced mock Starbucks cafe, with slow service.  30 minute wait for an English muffin sandwhich?  Was affiliated with a great local gym, which due to changed ownership (of gym) is no longer offered.  Still a clean place with friendly staff, just not what it once was.

What a beautiful location, in particular the charming park behind the hotel.  It is within a short walking distance and features vast grassy areas, a large pond with duck island, lots of birds and colorful ducks who seem to have adopted Rancho Bernardo as their winter home, turtles, waterfalls, gentle walkways and benches for a bit of contemplation, and a memorial garden for local veterans.  I have a perfect view of it all from my hotel window.

Even though this is not one of Marriott's finest, the room is not as bad as some reviewers have implied.  It is clean, with a large work space, a refrigerator and microwave, flat screen tv, and coffee maker.  Everything works, nothing smells, the colors are calm and muted, and it is comfortable.  There is no couch or chairs other than the desk chair.  I admit I have had larger rooms, but for the outrageously low price I paid through Priceline bidding, this is a nice surprise and deserves a good rating.

The hotel is freeway accessible, close to restaurants and shopping, not too far of a drive to exciting multicultural San Diego, wine country, apple country (mmmm, go for the pies!), and the beautiful beaches.  Some may complain of the ambient noise from the freeway (it is close), but it really is not bad unless you are hypersensitive.

I stayed here for four nights while on business. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. At night, the outside of the entrance regularly smells like marijuana, but the adjacent buildings are nice and well-kept. The size of the rooms are mediocre. On each floor, the two rooms in the middle (where the elevators are located) are slightly larger. Rooms are equipped with an old dial-knob microwave and small mini fridge. However, the room has modern beds, desks, wardrobe, and LCD tv.

The hotel provides complimentary Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner as well as facial bar soap and lotion. Rooms are turned over daily and include hair dryer and iron.

The hotel is within walking distance from dining, Vons, and CVS (serves a decent selection of liquor, not just beer).

Yuck.  I haven't stayed in a room as dirty as this room was.  There were M&M's on the floor under the desk, in the clear path of a vacuum had one been used.  There were long dark hairs on pillows and pubic hairs on the outside of the toilet bowl.  We had been in the room for about an hour when the light hit the headboard just right, and smears of something were visible.

The room was claustrophobic, the wall cut down hard in a arch.  They say they've been remodeled but you still need to control the a/c window unit from the actual unit, they didn't put in thermostats when they remodeled.

The staff was unfriendly and didn't acknowledge us when we entered or left the property.

The bed.  Holy cow, it was terrible.  Terrible!  You could feel the springs in your back.  The worst mattress we've had to endure in a long time.

We will not be staying here again.

I booked a wedding block here July 13, 2013 weekend and the sales coordinator Suzanne S. (no longer working there, maybe she got fired) was horrible. Didn't care about our business since she was expecting soccer teams to book that same weekend and took forever to respond to my emails and calls. I literally had to email and call her three times before I got a response. And simple things she promised to do, like send me a list of my guests who have booked, took days, even though it was promised that same day. The woman who replaced her, I only dealt with her once. She seemed very polite but still took her 3 days to send me the email when she said she'd do it later that same day.

If it wasn't for the fact that I had my reception at Pearl Cuisine next door, I would never have picked this hotel after talking to the sales people. The other people who answer the phones are not very bright too. Several of my guests and my husband who had to talk to them described them as idi*ts. The 2 or 3 employees at the reception during our stay were very pleasant and friendly though.

(By the way, if you want to have a Chinese banquet for your reception, I highly recommend Pearl Cuisine which is literally a 2 min walk through the back of the hotel through a pretty park with pond.)

The hotel looks nice enough in the lobby and restaurant but the rooms were very basic. They gave us a little discount on our suite and it overlooked Webb Park. The suite was very large but basic. There is no safe in the room. They let us do a late check out at no charge.

So far so good. Was easy to book specific ground level room. Even tho Expedia didn't communicate the complete items with the reservation A quick call to the front desk resolved our issue.
I think her name was Jessica (sorry if I'm wrong). She looked over our reservation and made the change. My husband is there with my daughter, so it all continues well it will be easy to choose our next hotel in SD. He said it was a really nice location. I am sure he will have more to add over the next 2 days!!!!! Way to go! I love easy customer service.

Stayed here for a week while on a business trip and I really have no complaints. Nice hotel and they were currently remodeling while i was there but from what i saw it is going to be really nice once they finish everything.

I got one of the new rooms. Very nice. Microwave, fridge etc. Good room service and will accommodate any way they can. They do have a shuttle that will take you within 5 miles from the hotel for free which was perfect since where I was going everyday was only a 3 mile drive. They would drop me off and pick me up every morning so i did not need to mess with a rental car. Nice pool and spa area as well. Convenient to a really big shopping plaza. I was able to walk to the Vons, CVS, gastropub..you know the important stuff.

I will be back to this location soon and i have no complaints with that.

Stayed here one night for one of my friend's wedding.  The reception took place here and was very close to the reception.  Also, this was a good place to stay over since we were considering checking out nearby La Jolla the next day.  This location seems family-friendly.  I noticed bbq grills and a pool.  There were plenty of families and kids hanging around.   Our room was on the smaller side but looked nice and clean.  I would stay here again if I were in the area.  Prices were good.  We took advantage of the online special with no refund!

I got a deal on this room through priceline.com . I was stoked cause I was staying in a Marriott chain hotel. Lobby was cool. People in the front where all very nice and had great customer service. When we got our keys for the two rooms we reserved, room 204 & 223. Lets talk about 203 first. One word, "CLEAN"

Room 224 stunk! It had some weird odor in it. The floors had hair like housekeeping did not vacuum. Next thing I noticed was that their was poop on the side of the counter in the restroom. WTF! How disgusting! I called housekeeping immediately to have them clean it. They came within 5 minutes and cleaned it no problem but EWW I have a feeling that this room was not cleaned thoroughly. There was also tons of hair on the floor in the restroom.

Ok so 10+ hours later. Back from Seaworld, something else goes wrong. The tub is plugged! It was fine this morning.

I'm so done with this place and will make sure that I let whoever downstairs know that this place is terrible. They need to talk to the people that clean this place and make sure that the tub doesn't get plugged for their next guest.

Oh and they have free wi-fi and parking so that's one extra star for them

Average hotel. Our room had a patio facing the pool which it was great.

Easy in and out. Hassle free.

Nothing fancy but a good place to rest. Bedrooms are cleaned.

Super clean, super comfortable hotel. The outside looks kinda not good but as soon as you step in you're amazed. It looks like it has been redone and it looks super modern.
The only "bad" part was that the A/C was super loud so bring earplugs ( there is a CVS close by if you forget them)

The beds were really comfortable and same with the pillows! And I always complain about the pillows :D

The shower was really nice too!! Not to hard not to soft and easy to turn on and off, unlike other showers with two knobs to turn...

We didn't use the gym nor the hotel itself.

There is a good sushi place close by though and the area is absolutely wonderful.

My bf and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting SD. No complaints at all.. Everyone was super friendly and the rooms were roomy and clean. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early so it was definitely +points for that. Over the weekend, there were soccer teams of 7-10 year old boys so there were kids EVERYWHERE. They took over the pool and hot tub.. But luckily, my bf and I didn't mind at all...

They should definitely add that detail to customers when they are checking in or booking a room.. Some people wouldn't be very happy with a bunch of kids/boys running around. Kids can get loud.

Awesome service. Not busy. Nice pond. Reasonable rates, good food and very comfortable.

Great decor. Plenty of free parking. A must if in San Diego area.

Great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

Love it.

I stayed here during a two day business visit. This Courtyard is average at best. My room furnishing was well aged. Window heater unit was very noisy. Cleanliness was bearable, but not great. Another housekeeping surprise: When I returned on my second evening, there was no TV remote to be found. That was no issue during the first evening.
May be my biggest issue is the breakfast place. The line was long and service was lethargic and I had to flag them for missing items. Are there any gold member benefits left? Didn't get any.
Finally, on check-out, I was trying to get a final bill, but an hour wasn't sufficient to post the breakfast charge to the hotel's billing system. That's bizarre.
So I left without knowing what my final bill would be.
I still will return, because it is overall okay and in a convenient location to my client's office, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to stay at this place.

front desk Ryan is the worst, no customer service, I cut my leg doing what he refused to do send house keeping to make  the sofa bed he said I had to do it. I showed him my bleeding leg and he laughed and told me he was going to call the police because I threatened  him. I finally was forcing him to call and then he said that I was not threatening him.
don't stay here...........

I am extremely pleased with the COURTYARD by Marriott, 11611 Bernardo Plaza Court, (North County) San Diego, California. The management staff bends over backwards to make sure that the customer's needs are met. Everything is perfect; the rooms, the food, the cleanliness, all accommodations --- Perfect. You want my honest opinion; stay here and enjoy, for every day you stay in San Diego is just another day in Paradise. :-)

I stayed here only for a night but wish it had been for longer. My friends and I planned a hike up Mount Woodson trail the next morning and this was the perfect location. Plenty of shopping centers surrounding it. About 25 mins from the Gaslamp District. The staff was great. Very professional and accommodating. Our check in was prompt. When we called for housekeeping for a few more towels they were right on it. We returned from our hike a little later than expected so needed a late check out to pack and get ourselves together. They gave us an extra hour with no question. I'll definitely return to have a full weekend stay here.

Had a great stay at this hotel for a great price on a King Suite. I found it through Hotels.com and I got a suite which included WIFI and parking for $140.00. Not a bad deal at all.

The room was huge and was nice and clean when we got there. I had no complaints. This place was like a little one bedroom apartment. Bed was nice and comfy and the beers stayed cold thanks to that fridge. I would defiantly stay here again. CHEERS!!!

I'm gonna stick out my neck and give this place 4 stars.  Why?  Because the service was exceptional, given there were so many people staying here for a soccer tournament.  In fact, this was the most positive experience I've had in 6 years of traveling all over Southern California for soccer tournaments.

1.  Check-in:  Friendly & fast.  Further, offered us cold bottled water while getting checked-in.
2.  Rate:  Gave a fantastic group rate (cheaper than government rate).
3.  Parking:  Although lot got very full, was able to find a spot or a shaded spot.
4.  Bistro:  Super friendly staff here.  I have to give a shout-out to Gil who was dealing with all the crazy soccer parents on Saturday night and was remained positive & friendly throughout the evening.  Plus, food & wine was pretty good too.
5.  Amenities:  didn't use the pool, but the gym they kept at a nice cool temperature & provided cold water & towels.  Only 2 treadmills, but it was empty when I was in there.
6.  Webb Park.  There is a beautiful pond/park behind the hotel.  (including a pic).  There were several types of ducks (baby ducklings), turtles, koi, etc.  Very peaceful & relaxing.  Saw a couple taking wedding photos there.

Finally, I'm impressed with a place that can handle that many teenagers running around at all hours.  I heard no complaints.

Located nearly right off the highway.

Paul Mitchell products in the room. How often is there something that is brand named in a hotel? Awesome!

One negative about visit is that the air conditioner didn't work that well.

I very much loved the small lake in the back and the ability to walk around it. That had to be the biggest draw for me here

Very clean hotel, nice staff. We got a king-size bed, stayed for two nights. Pool is small but they have one and they also have a hot tub (if you're into that). They have a small restaurant in the hotel, very simple foods... But there are good restaurants within a five minute drive (The Barrel, Urge Gastropub, etc.). Overall, we had a very good stay. Nothing bad to say. I've included pictures. BtW, apparently they have coffee avail 24/7, you just have to ask the front desk (this is what we were told).

Things to note:
*Parking lot gets full late at night. You may have to park on the street adjacent to the hotel. This is, honestly, not a big deal as it is less than 400 feet from the hotel's entrance.
*Free Wi-Fi though we never used it
*Ask for a room facing the pond
*They have a gym
*Water in the lobby

The Bistro employees, Sam & Matt, exceeded our expectations, by providing assistance above and beyond.

We were also pleased with the hotel staff that checked us in on May 13th. They were very pleasant and we felt very welcomed.  They gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner at the Urge Gastropub.
