Had a lovely weekend. Rooms may be a bit "outdated" but I thought they were fine- not too "done" but with a little Spanish theme. The pool was nice as it is on its own terrace, it has a view.....perfect for a night dip looking at the stars.

We asked to stay in the 600's where there is a nice view and it's far enough away from the pool and the banquet rooms to be very quiet. Be warned though that if you walk down into Old Town you are in for a hike back up...you can take elevators part of the way though.

Parking was extra but it was convenient so I didn't complain....you can park for free across the street, just be sure to tell them you don't need to park in the garages.

I liked the proximity to Old Town and to the trolley station....we took the trolley to SD a few times and it wasn't a long walk...plus you get to walk through Old Town so its a nice walk :)

I'd definitely stay here again....maybe a bit on the pricy side but you are paying for the proximity to Old Town and that is what we wanted so I feel it was a fair price :)

If we ever need to say in Old Town, this would be the place that we would venture to.

We decided to have a last minute staycation in SD and thought Old Town would be awesome. We were right! The rooms were a little bit outdated, no granite countertops or anything like that, but they were still nice. We weren't looking for a luxurious hotel room, because we knew we were going to be out most of the night. The pool and hot tub were clean and we enjoyed them!

We got a voucher for a free breakfast, but we weren't feeling up to eating and had to take off. So, I can't say if it was good or bad!

    We will be back!

I loved this hotel. It has a great location within walking distance of great restaurants and shops in Old Town. Our room was spacious, the bed was firm, the AC was cranking nice and cool, the wifi was speedy...what else do you need? Parking is $14.00 per day in the garage next door or you can park across the in the lot for free. Good luck finding a space in the lot, just use the garage

The hotel itself is old Spanish style. Our room got lots of sunlight and we never heard a peep out of our neighbors. The linens on the bed were good quality and the front desk was polite, quick and friendly. Our room has a coffee maker, a frig and an nice size closet. I can't remember if there was a safe in the room. I love that old Spanish style architecture and I loved walking around the grounds.

We stayed here dog-less but the hotel does allow pets. The fee is $20.00 per night (VERY reasonable) plus a refundable $50.00 deposit. If your dog does not chew up the place, you get your $50.00 back.

I found a great deal on Bookit.com For the price we paid, we got an awesome room. The next time we stay in Old Town and have the dogster with us, this will be our first choice.
