As a business traveler that does 100 days a year on the road, I have an appreciation for the little things.  Like good service and proximity to the city's attractions.  The Hampton Inn and Suites in Kearney Mesa exceeds my expectations every time.  I can choose to stay at just about any property I want in San Diego.  I continue to return this one time and time again.  The recent remodel really brought a contemporary look to the property and the rooms.  On occasion, my wife will travel with me and she really likes the new beds and the linens.  The big poofy pillow top mattresses are very comfortable.  The LCD big screens are great.  The staff, Robert in the afternoons and Peter in the mornings, always remember my name.  The morning continental breakfast is exactly that.  While nothing elaborate, it holds me over until noon when I can expense my lunch on a much nicer meal.  This family owned property takes pride in their property and has reflected that in every stay I have had here.  It's far away enough from the wacky, busy downtown area and close enough to Mission Valley so you can catch a Trolley to the Gaslamp.  The beach cities are not too far off either.  This property is great for families too.

We were in town for the weekend for a wedding and looking save a few bucks, but still looking to stay in a nice, clean place with a good reputation.  The previous reviews for this place are all true.  The rooms are spacious and clean.  The service was great.  The breakfast was decent -- about as good as could be expected for a continental breakfast.  And the proximity to any place we needed to be was outstanding.  Located right by the freeway, we were anywhere we needed to be in 15 minutes or less.  All in all, it was a great place to stay

Several people from my company stayed at this hotel.  We were all from different parts of the country and unknowingly picked same hotel since it offered the best value in the area.  All rooms have 42 inch tvs and rate includes breakfast and free internet.  There were many good ethnic restaurants nearby.  Easy access to major highways - we were able to visit surrounding areas and downtown easily.  Staff friendly. .

I was in SD for the Miramar Air Show and picked this hotel both for its great price and proximity to the air base.  As it turned out, it was also really close to Old Town SD where they have a lot of great shops and restaurants.  The room was very clean and tastefully decorated and the beds were comfy.  The selection of breakfast goodies was great and I really enjoyed not having to go out to a crowded restaurant for breakfast each morning.  The staff was really helpful and friendly offering us maps and schedules for the air show as well as free dessert coupons for a restaurant we asked about.  Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights last year for Labor Day weekend.  It's your standard fare Hampton Inn with the exception that there is a really well-kept salt water aquarium in the lobby area (which is kinda neat if you ask me).

The Kearny Mesa area is far enough from downtown San Diego, but close enough to attractions.  Within 10-15 minutes drive, we were at the zoo, or La Jolla; which is quite nice.

Rooms need to be updated, but were adequate for the stay.  I'd definitely stay there again!

I'm VERY impressed by this hotel~  After a last minute decision to head over to SD over the 4th of July weekend and finding out many of the hotels were booked, I came across this hotel on travelocity and decided to give them a call.  Luckily, they had 2 rooms available and they also give AAA discounts, which is always good to have in this economy.  I was surprised at how nice this hotel is.  It looks like it was newly renovated with nice large beds with a big plasma tv.  In addition, the bathroom is big, which is always nice.  Also, they give you a complimentary continental breakfast which is nicer than most continental breakfasts served at other places.  They had a wide variety of things to get your bellies satisfied.

I travel for business almost every other week and I get to stay at many hotels. I was pleasantly surprised by this Hampton Hotel. The lobby is tastefully decorated with a large salt water fish tank separating the front lobby from the breakfast area. The staff was exemplary in their demeanor and courteous when speaking with me. The rooms are clean and well-lit and the bed was uber comfortable to me. As with all Hampton Hotels, this one offers a complimentary continental breakfast with hot items, cold items, and also a waffle making station. If you are on the go and do not have time for breakfast, they have to-go bags with fresh fruit, a muffin, a cereal bar, and a bottled water. Wish all hotels were like this one. It puts a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels to shame.

Not too expensive, friendly service, fresh waffles with berries for breakfast, coffee all day, giant TV in the lobby and flat-screens in the rooms. Very convenient location, highway-wise; Balboa Park and Zoo just down the 163, Coronado a little farther and down the 75, La Jolla up the 805. Also, if you're craving, well, virtually any Asian food, there's plenty all along Convoy. Just look for a place crammed with people.

A pretty average, straight-forward Hampton Inn.  Kind of out of the way, but that's probably why we had the place to our self.  It's not run down, but it's a sort of cozy, SoCal-style with stacked rock in the lobby/hall.  Free continental breakfast.  Free internet.  Plenty of excellent Japanese restaurants nearby.  Also, huge, nice work out room.

I stayed in Hampton Inn San Diego - Kearny Mesa in September, 2011.  My sister read a lot of good reviews, so their family and my husband and I decided to stay there.  We are very satisfied with Hampton Inn San Diego. We stayed for three days for a reasonable price.  So, I joined Hilton HHonors which is part of a reward program of Hampton Inn.
This was the first time visiting in San Diego for us, but we did not have any problem finding the hotel.  It is close to Hwy 163.  The hotel's environment looks nice and safe.  We arrived at after 1 a.m.  Even though it was after midnight, the receptionist of the hotel was very friendly and kind to process of our reservation quickly.  Regardless of it being midnight, there were pretty pitchers for fresh lemonade with ice and fresh water in the guest lobby.  It refreshed us from our long hours of driving.
The hotel room was big and very clean.  I like the part that room has the space for love seats and a chair that four adult people can sit together and plus a queen size bed.  Additionally, the bath room was very new with granite and tile combinations with nice neutral color tones and a relaxing mood.  I gave 5 stars for the cleanliness of the bathroom.  Amenities and towels were perfectly prepared.  We had good sleep in the hotel because it was cozy and very quiet.
The free hotel buffet was wonderful.  Nothing compared to other hotels and motel's free breakfast.  Fresh coffee and orange juice, fresh omelets and so on.  There were many selections.  It was very popular for many family visitors.  It looked like a good breakfast space for the children and adult guests.
Furthermore, the hotel location was very convenient to go to Japan-town.  Visiting Japanese restaurants and supermarkets made us feel like we were soaking in a different culture.  The hotel is also close to the historic Hotel del Coronado, which was built in 1888.  You can enjoy nice historical scenery and a beautiful beach.
We definitely will go back to Hampton Inn San Diego.

How often do you stay somewhere and they send you a postcard thanking you for your business afterwards? They even complied with our room requests! This place was amazing from start to finish. We were looking to have a weekend vacation on the cheap, even though it was a holiday weekend, and decided to try this place out. We were immediately greeted with smiles and fresh baked cookies! Who does that?! Didn't try out the pool and the gym was under construction, but I think my favorite part was watching my partner make her waffle in the morning. This is a great breakfast and is perfect for families traveling with small ones. There is a slight question of safety, but the hotel took our concerns seriously and made us feel important. A++

It was ok. Pool was freezing, no hot tub. Location is noisy due to the proximity to the freeway. Room seemed clean enough, and breakfast was slightly above average. Parking was horrible due to the renovations. We stayed a few days the second week in August, and I have to admit, I am a little alarmed that a fellow yelper complained about a rat in the room during that same time period, eek!

Also, it could be coincidence, but shortly after, I did get a call from my bank saying that my credit card had been compromised. It could have happened anywhere, but it is strange that another yelp reviewer mentioned this as well.

Staff was ok, and the fishtank in the lobby was pretty cool.  It was a manageable distance from Petco Park, which is why we came down in the first place. We used the pay ahead deal, and the rate was far lower than anything else in the same quality level in SD.

Stayed here recently and have kind of a mixed review for them.
The pros: very good price, compared to other area hotels.  clean hotel and clean room.  comfortable bed.  free breakfast.  convenient location, equally close to beaches and downtown (about 10 min drive).
The cons: a little hard to find initially, had to circle around a couple of times to find their entrance.  parking is somewhat limited, often wound up far in back and had to walk around to side entrance.  the tv had terrible reception and would frequently say "no signal".  no early check in option.

Stayed there on Sept 3 - 6, 2011, Labor Day weekend.

After reading 1 review regarding the "rats" I called the hotel and verified the accusations before booking the hotel. The GM assured me that there are no "rats" and they are a Hampton Hotel.

Upon arrival they were still doing renovations to the outside of the hotel, but not a big deal, I always welcome improvements.

The room was good size (King bed). Bed was definitely comfortable as all Hampton Hotels are. Internet was free (did not use it, so cannot comment on the speed).

Room has a small fridge tucked away in the closet, 42" Flat panel monitor also in the room, with HBO.

    The room was very nice.

The breakfast is a typical Hampton Buffet. Waffles, egg dish, Turkey Sausages (which I loved), bagels, etc.

Proximity to the area, we came in for a college football game, and we were less than 10 minutes from Qualcomm Stadium, approx 20 minutes to the SD Zoo, and about the same to downtown (Petco Park). The hotel to the airport no longer than 30 minutes. It is in a great location, with several restaurants around the property.

    Would highly recommend this hotel.

    Stayed 3 nights.

Good location near a freeway, restaurants, & shopping.  While here we drove to many San Diego locations in relatively short times.

The hotel seems to be fairly new...so the reviews about renovations are a bit mystifying.

I loved the fish in the tank, the size of the gym, the quality & size of the flat screen TV, oatmeal & granola for breakfast, the pool, & the laundry.

All hotel stays should be at least this good.

The customer service at this hotel was fantastic. I booked my boss here last weekend and she accidentally left her ipad behind in the room. Housekeeping was IMMEDIATELY on the situation and caught my boss before she even left the lobby.  Housekeeping ran down the item to the desk and they promptly started calling every contact number they had, knowing full well that this item was of utmost importance.

On behalf of my boss and myself, THANK YOU for your honesty and GREAT customer service.

Stayed here for 4th of July weekend.... The lobby is really beautiful for a Hampton Inn! There is a big saltwater tank with a handful of fish, one being a huge puffer! I liked the layout of this Hampton, the kitchen is very open and in the lobby and the gym was a decent size, clean and also close to the lobby. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. They have flat screen tv's in the rooms! The beds are SOOOOO comfy, Im actually going to look into buying one.

There were only a few minor irks, none of which were a big deal - just things I want to point out.

When we got to the desk, it turned out that they had given our reservation to someone who had the same last name... Now, thankfully they had another room available and so it was not an issue at all.... just noting because what IF there had been none at all? It was a holiday, too!

This Hampton gives you a full enclosed bathroom, the other ones Ive been to have the sinks outside the bathroom. Having the sink outside never seemed like a good idea until I came here and saw that the coffee maker was located inside the bathroom. lol. I dont drink coffee anyways, so just a note for those that do.

Lastly, they served us a sausage and egg beaters breakfast. It wasnt too bad... they also had bagels and cereals and fruits etc... Everything was good - but just hope that when you get to stay at a Hampton, they have Biscuits and Gravy! Ive had it a few times before and its scrumptious!

Overall, I loved this Hampton, will definitely be back!

This location is just off SR163 with good access to Balboa Park and downtown. A friend said it's fifteen minutes to downtown. That's about right, outside of commute hours. There are a few places to eat and some convenience stores nearby. There's a Vons grocery, and a Fry's Electronics, about two miles away.

This place was really an ideal experience in the realm of Hampton Inns. The front desk staff were helpful. There's a cool salt water aquarium in the lobby. Breakfast was okay. Housekeeping was friendly and didn't wake me up. The room was good and everything worked as expected. Oh, and parking is free.

The only thing that was off was Lodgenet. This is the television service provider at many Hilton locations, including this one. Lodgenet's equipment is poorly managed. Why would anyone be using analog RGB connections in 2012? You can tell because there is blue noise, red noise, and green noise on at least five analog television channels. I have a dream that people would test systems when installing them and after working on them. In the days of all-digital TV, I don't expect to see blue, red, and green snow in the picture on any channel. Lodgenet service is even worse at other locations. All of the channels that say DTV were noise-free, of course.

I can't believe all the great reviews.  Here is my break down.

    Pros:
    -Recently remodeled
    -Free Wifi
    -Free Breakfast
    -Free Parking

    Cons:
-Cheap remodel. I could feel debris under the carpet that someone did not bother to pick up before laying it down.  Also the tub was made of some synthetic material that squeaked and creaked while I showered.
-You can hear all the planes flying over this hotel. I was not on the top floor.
-Although close in proximity to many things not my first choice in neighborhoods.

I liked this hotel and would stay here again.

I used to do a lot of travel for business and like staying at hotels that are catered for the business traveler. I saw only two other families with kids, most other guests {I saw during breakfast} looked like business travelers.

    About 20 minutes from Seaworld.

Newer and updated, comfy beds and pillows, free hot breakfast, free internet on the computers in the lobby, fitness center, friendly service, hotel room bathroom was updated and a decent size with counter space, newer flat-screen TV, freeway access, good size room, FREE parking...

Clean room, not run down or dingy. Roomy enough for three people.

The breakfast {mysteriously prepped in the small closet next to the buffet} included some carb stuff like bagels, danishes, donuts, etc...plus, small boxes of cereal, make your own waffle, and steam trays with eggs in one and meat in the other. I LIKED it!

OMG!!! Some of the BEST coffee I have ever had! They kept it full during peak breakfast times.

The parking on the freeway side of the hotel is very tight when backing out, I would recommend parking in the back or in the front, depending where your room is located.

The ONLY thing that was annoying was that our keys would stop working and we had to keep going to the front desk to have them reset...um, like 4 times!!! Even with that key drama, I still liked this place enough to come back when I visit San Diego again.

Spent a Friday and Saturday night here with my 3 daughters.  Not a fancy hotel, but perfect for  families.  Free parking, free breakfast buffet, nice gym, and close access to the freeway.  Not much to do in the immediate area, but a quick 10-15 minute drive to SDSU and Fashion Valley Mall.  Seemed like families staying here were staying there to visit the SD zoo or Sea World.

    Good:

Nice lobby area with complimentary coffee, tea, and water available 24 hours. Also, 2 computers for guest use.

Breakfast buffet served 6-10 am.  Great variety of bread, donuts, muffins, bagels, do-it-yourself waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, and bacon or ham.  Constantly replenished and served at the appropriate temperatures (hot and cold items).

Friendly staff who greeted guests warmly.  The front desk has toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc if you forgot it.

Two queen bed room for $109/night.  Comparable to other hotels, but free parking and breakfast had me sold.  Other hotels charge $12-22 for parking.  Breakfast would've either been an unhealthy trip to the drive-thru or skipped altogether.

Nice on-site air-conditioned gym with equipment in good condition.

    Not-so-good:

Mattresses in our room (325) seemed worn out.  As in the head of the bed sagged lower than our feet.  So we slept at a slant.

A little kitchen counter area for the coffee maker, refrigerator, and a sink would look nicer.  The coffee maker, sugar, creamer, and cups are in the bathroom on a shelf under the sink next to the bath towels.  Kinda gross since the bathroom gets steamy and since it's where one does their business.  The mini-fridge is on the floor in the closet.

    Internet connection slow.

All in all, a pleasant stay.  Would recommend this hotel to anyone with a family on a budget.

Stayed here with my wife as we visited our grandchildren three weeks ago. Very friendly and helpful staff who shepherded our delayed luggage from the airline while we were out with our family. That was not a small thing as the delivery service was not very responsive. Free parking and a very clean room coupled with an excellent breakfast make this property a keeper.

We have stayed here multiple times and in every time of the year and found the quality and level of service not to vary.

Great hotel. It's centrally located and easy to get around to nearby places. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy and I love the rock work by the elevator. Haven't made it to the gym yet, but it looks top notch. Breakfast is okay. The bacon doesn't taste real, it's like too thin and shiny. They do also serve mini muffins or something that are very good.
Staff has all been pleasant. I'd recommend this hotel to someone to stay at.

Stayed on July 18th, just one night. The room was very spacious, beds quite comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the size and condition of the bathroom. Surprising variety of food for breakfast made the stay extra special. While not immediately adjacent to any tourist attractions, there is a lot  of good places to eat close by. Easy  freeway access is the icing on the cake.

While in general the people who work here are nice, the hotel seems to be run by a bunch of thieves.  My cellphone and charger were stolen from my room while I was sleeping. They refuse to claim any liability,  saying the hotel is not responsible for items stolen from your room. I have to select a "star" rating....zero should be an option.

This was not my best experience with a hotel in San Diego.  The staff was very friendly but the rooms were below par. Old ac/heating units that made so much noise that the cleaning staff puts ear plugs in the rooms for the residents, got no sleep for 3 days there even after changing rooms.

We spent three nights at this Hampton Inn.  Our stay was a pleasant one, and we plan to stay again when we come back to San Diego.

They consolidated two reservations we had made so we were able to check in once and keep the room we pre-selected using the Hilton Honors web site. Check-in is a very convenient Noon. The staff was always helpful. Our room was quiet, no noise from outside and just the typical corridor noise of any Hampton. Our room was clean.

A great plus to this Hampton is that we found ourselves to be no more than 10 to 15 minutes from anything we planned to see or any restaurant we wanted to eat at in the San Diego area - ok, maybe Cabrillo Point was 20 minutes.  The "closer to San Diego" Hampton and other hotels  (5 minutes closer) charge for parking, some for wifi and are right on the highway (you'll see noise road noise complaints). Parking and wifi are free here. There is no road noise.

The exercise room is well stocked with machines and is clean.

Breakfast is typical Hampton fare. Its free and convenient. There's a Starbucks close by if you need one.

The TV in our room was an older flatscreen that didn't seem to be 1080p - stretched picture. Beds were decent.

CONS: dark carpet that hides stains, low ceilings, and old smelling hallways and elevators. Refrigeration located in the closet in the floor :/

Hampton Inn just pulled a fast on me and my family. If Yelp allowed 0 stars or even a negative, this business deserves it. Their greedy policy just knows no bounds.

I prepaid a room with a King size bed for my wife, my 10 month old and myself for two nights - Friday night and Saturday night. Due to unforseen circumstances, we had to miss the first night of our stay.

We arrived around 11 am on Saturday. I checked in with the lady at reception and was told that the hotel cancelled my entire booking that was fully paid in advance. She told me that it was my fault that I did not call them that I was still interested.

My takeaway on this is this - Hampton Inn's policy is to squeeze every money it can at the expense of screwing their customers. They want to be paid again for the same exact room that was already paid for. Yes, they are that greedy.

Rooms are nice, parking is free. Breakfast is marginal and breakfast staff is horrible. This property would do better with not offering breakfast at all. Not really set up for serving large crowds and lady who runs the breakfast makes sure you know that she does not like people and they are there to bother her. What a sour puss, first day she complained to an old couple about cleaning and wiping off a table "that she didn't have time" with all the customers to stop and clean a table. Next day she was yelling about a kid who asked for a cereal that had run out and she told him "when I get time". Hampton, either hire more people, or hire a manager who can be pleasant. What a downer, and because of his I would not visit this property again.

    what a great place.
Stayed there last weekend, had 4 rooms, all were clean and comfortable, mattress could have been better.
hotel looks brand new, very clean, a bit crowded at breakfast time, but we managed to feed 14 people.
    Good job, thank you.

Hotel is clean. Continental breakfast was mediocre. Staff, not including concierge or front desk was rude and inpatient. I was waiting in line for the elevator around 0900 and the housekeeping staff all filed in in front of me and my group and then practically verbally pushed us out of the elevator. They were rude, inpatient, and disrespectful. You are suppose to provide a simple service called customer service. No matter your ethnic orientation that is expected at a hotel whether it is the Holiday Inn, Ritz Carlton, or Hampton Inn. I would never come back here unless I absolutely had no other option.

This hotel is perfectly located off Hwy 163.  It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown San Diego.

The staff is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.  The hotel itself is very clean. One of my concerns when staying in San Diego is staying at a dirty, run down hotel that has had a million visitors.

Most people stay in hotel circle because of its location to all the sites in San Diego.  The problem is, EVERYONE stays in hotel circle and it shows.

With a 5-8 minute drive from hotel circle, this hotel is well within all the sites in San Diego with out the run down look and feel.

We planned to stay only one night so our experience here was very limited.  But I did notice the following.  Very clean, friendly staff, decent parking and great location.

They serve a hot breakfast that consisted of waffles (you make yourself), cereal, oatmeal, toast, danishes, fruit, scrambled eggs, sauage, coffee, hot tea and juices.

Now, breakfast is included with your stay so keep that in mind.  Everyone will be wanting breakfast and seating is very limited.  Breakfast is set up in the lobby of the hotel with the few tables they have accommodating 2-4 people.  Now this is not a five star breakfast by any means but it is free and on site.

We had a room with 2 twin beds.  The beds were comfy and we had no complaints.  The bathroom is one that the sink, shower and toilet are in one room.  I personally don't like this because when one person is occupying the bathroom this causes everyone one else to wait.  This is my personal pet peeve but the bathroom itself was very clean.

I can not stress enough on how picky I am when it comes to staying at hotels.  This hotel is not new or fancy but when staying in the San Diego area for a day or two, this hotel will suit your needs without a doubt if your looking for a clean, well priced hotel with a good location.

Things you need in a hotel while on vacation:

    Clean
    Friendly
    Large Room
    Free breakfast
    Free wifi.

This hotel meets all requirements! It's even close to asian food (good for me). Asian markets and restaurants are within a 5 minute drive.

La Jolla Beach is about 15 minutes away.

    So happy with this place!!

The bed is like sleeping on a cloud it's so amazing! They have a nice gym. Complementary breakfast. I'm giving only 4 stars because you can smell stale cigarette smoke throughout the building and in the room.

Clean and convenient. Typical hotel breakfast but good. Staff was friendly, the property was clean. Only complaint I have is make sure you take your shower early or you won't have hot water.
I liked the little section of goods and snacks available for purchase next to the front desk. This is day two of four. Going to check out the pool maybe and impress everyone with my swan dive.

The place is very comfortable and feels new. The front desk were very friendly upon check in and when I called for extra amenities. They offer free wifi and free breakfast. The breakfast didn't satisfy my needs so I ate chewy hard boiled eggs and drank tea.

Even though the breakfast did not do it for me, I'm a fan of the property. Their gym, pool, and facilities are clean.

Bonus: the mini fridge in the room is nice and clean too!

Stayed at this Hampton Inn over this past weekend with my husband and mother. We stayed in a room with 2 full size beds (unfortunately they do not have queen beds... so it is either a king size bed or 2 full beds). I loved that check in began as early as 12 pm... what hotel has early check in anymore? (without an additional fee?) With San Diego being a little less than a 2 hour drive away, check in at 12 pm is a wonderful benefit.

Anyways, our stay was quite pleasant but there were times we would hear people walking down the hall towards the elevator since we stayed on the 1st floor, directly across from the elevator doors. Even though the front desk employee who checked us in said it was a quiet room... although it was relatively quiet while we slept, I still hear people in the early morning (probably heading to the daily complementary breakfast).

The beds were quiet soft, with a pillow top on the bed. I still prefer a nice firm bed though, but I had no problems sleeping. The room itself was a good space for 3. The bathroom was also fine. The room we stayed in also came with a mini fridge.

This hotel has a 24 hour gym that I used, along with my mother and husband (yep, we try to be a healthy family). Although the gym is small (what hotel gym isn't?), I still was able to use the cardio machine and some of the weight machines, which did the job just fine. I just didn't like that the 2 air conditioning units are right in front of the cardio machines because it was a little on the chilly side while I used it (although it was great when I was in the middle of my cardio workout, it wasn't nearly as fantastic during my warm up and warm down part).

The complementary daily breakfast (6 am- 10 am every day) was excellent. You can get your cold and hot breakfast (loved that there was a to go container with a lid that you can put your oatmeal or cereal in if you are in a hurry), assorted breads, make your own waffle station and beverage section (coffee, hot chocolate, tea, etc). I also liked that you could also get polish sausage, egg cheese omelettes and hard boiled eggs as well here.

The only complaint I would have about the daily breakfast is the seating area. Unfortunately you won't be the only one grabbing breakfast at this hotel. My husband and I were lucky each day to find a chair around 8:30 am but my mother wasn't able to around 9 am and always had to come back to our room to eat.

The free wifi was fast enough I would say. I have stayed at other hotels that provided free wifi and it was usually slow during the day. But the free wifi here was faster than that, so it did it's job for us.

There was plenty of parking for us each night we came back to our hotel and check out was effortless (same as check in as well).

Overall, had an excellent stay and would love to stay here again. Just had to mention though that this hotel is not pet friendly though and since I usually travel with my pets, I probably won't be able to stay here nearly as often.

This hotel is Awesome! Very clean, wonderfully decorated, manicured landscaping, great free breakfast!

Our family came here for a stay-cation while our home was being tented. I located the Hampton Inn on AAA's website and also received the discount ++. The rooms are reasonably priced and just beautiful! I can't say enough about what a great experience this has been.

When I called to find out if they had any rooms, I received outstanding service! The woman on the phone was very helpful and courteous.  She was even able to give me driving directions to the hotel, thank you!

The grounds and property are very well kept. The hallways, check-in desk, the breakfast area and our room was very clean and smelled nice too! We loved all the granite counter tops and beautiful upscale decor!

Our beds came with 4 fluffy pillows each, white sheets and duvets! The beds were very comfy and a little bouncy, but I had heard that Hampton's had good beds. Hot water was easy to get. Its the little things, right? There's plenty of parking here, too.

The gym at this hotel is very nice. All of the equipment was in good working order and easy to use. They had a stair climber, treadmill, bicycle, elliptical, and all the the weight training machines you could want! They even had medicine balls, water, towels and 2-42" TV's with cable!

    What a relaxing hotel!

We stayed 2 nights and it was great!  Ample parking, clean rooms, nice spread for breakfast. We will definitely be staying at this Hampton Inn, whenever we head to San Diego.

I guess the good location is relative, right? It's a good location for visiting San Diego and the rate is right plus plenty of free parking (which was of the key decision points).

The setup is your basic Hampton Inn, which is a good thing. The place looks like it hasn't been updated in a while but it's not worn out. The furniture in the rooms are decent but old. The television was a nice big screen but had a little static on each channel.
Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare: cereal, juices, some fruit, hot stuff (eggs, french toast, etc.), waffles, bagels, etc.

It's a decent place and if I was in the area I wouldn't hesitate from staying again.

I stayed here for a week on business and was very pleased. It's conveniently located off the 163 and not that far away from the airport. Parking was ample with large well-lit spaces. The lobby was modern with a nice tropical fish tank, and the staff was friendly. The elevator was a little slow and I ended up taking the stairs a couple of times because of it. The room had ample space, the bathroom was large and modern, and the bed was comfortable. One thing I did not like about the room was that the air conditioning unit was on the noisy side.

The fitness center was okay. From the outside it looks nice with its double glass doors, but the two air conditioning units were blowing in my face when I was on the treadmill. Additionally there were no exercise mats or free weights like other Hampton/Hiltons I've stayed at. There were only exercise machines which a couple of them were broken.

Breakfast was standard Hampton, scrambled eggs and a breakfast meat with the usual continental selections. There was limited seating in the lobby/dining area and was crowded.

Overall I would stay at this hotel the next time I'm in San Diego.
