This Bayside Holiday Inn is a nice one-much more a serene location than that bustling one that it's always confused with over on Harbor Drive-right across from the cruise ship terminal! The Bayside Holiday Inn has that great Point Loma Cafe restaurant and a nice pool!  It's also got the Holiday Inn Bottle Shop-remodeled a few years ago into a great little haven of nice, (not tacky) tourist-y gifts & a great booze selection!

Nestled into a little corner on the driveway next to a massive parking lot-this little bit of liquor heaven has all the good stuff you wanna buy for a party in your hotel room-right behind the cashier-A SMART MOVE!
There's a great variety of magazines; the usual selection of cold drinks and snacks; the cutest little stuffed Shamu's and Panda's for the kids back home, and what caught my eye: LEATHER PURSES!

Now why someone would need a sexy, studded black leather purse at a bottle shop is beyond me-maybe this hotel hosts a lot of cross-dresses? No matter-these purses were HOT, but all I did was look since I am on a shopping time-out for now. Also nice postcards available and they make it all so easy here: PUT that overly expensive bottle of Jim Bean on your HOUSE ACCOUNT and worry about paying for it when you CHECK OUT!  Now that's a RESPONSIBLE WAY to sell (and buy) Booze!

Best gift shop I've ever seen at a hotel!  They have nearly EVERYTHING!  gifts, clothing, liquor, wine, mixers, sodas, food, candy, snacks, everything you'd want to take up to your room and the prices are reasonable.  I had the pleasure of being helped by Danielle, who is a consummate professional and made my several trips to the bottle shop fun.  She should be managing that place (if she isn't already).  Highly recommend!
