POOR POOR SERVICE I wanted to check in earlier but the idiot on the desk with his Cheshire Cat grin said no no no not till exactly three pm. Come on really, this is stupid and really puts me off. It's hard to entertain a family with a small child and then this. Avoid this place

Clean and close to everything. Parking is either on the street or $12 for 24hr lot across the street. It would be nice if the bed was a queen instead of a full but, overall nice room. Yes, you can hear the airplanes flying in but, turn on the tv and ac and it drowns out the sounds of the airplanes. I'm glad we found this little gem in San Diego.

I enjoyed my stay at West Park Inn, for the money I paid I felt I got the best value. I had a very clean room, free wifi, complimentary breakfast as well as the staff being very friendly. I would say the bed wasn't as comfy as my own but it was fine for the two nights I stayed. Parking was hard to find so the two nights we did end up paying for parking across the street (glad it was across the street at least). So all in all if you want a budget friendly hotel with good value this is the place for you! Thank you WPI :)

West Park Inn is a fantastic price for where it is. It's actually a great price for any location. I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews and the affordable prices, but WPI far exceeded my expectations. The service was cordial and professional, the lobby and common areas were clean and cozy, and the room was small but was clean and had everything I needed (refreigerator/icebox, microwave, coffee maker w/coffee, hair dryer, flat screen tv, free wi-fi, shampoo/conditioner, soap). The sink is separate and outside of the bathroom unit. It is part of the fridge/microwave counter, thereby making it seem like a wet-bar, an interesting touch. I actually prefer it separate; it makes getting ready for the day more efficient when there is more than 1 person in the room.

I suspect most folks with less-than-savory reviews are classier than I, so if you're a classy cat, WPI may not suit you. However, having stayed at motels in Southern California, WPI is far better.

Parking is tricky and can be expensive per night but if you are going on an off-night, i.e. Sun-Thurs, or are a fervent parking-space hunter-and-gatherer, free street parking can be obtained.

I would definitely return to WPI.
