I visited San Fran a week weeks ago for the first time. The hotel was very modern, clean, and new. I used expedia and received a great price. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful also. Plus the location is great. I would highly recommend. One thing I wish they had was a hotel shuttle to and from the airport, but they were able to recommend a reasonably priced one.

The location is perfect if you're planning to spend your time at Fisherman's Wharf!  The staff is very friendly and our room was quite nice - especially the 50-inch flat screen TV!  The hotel offers free wi-fi.  We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

This place was a Hilton and i guess they thought if they change their name to 2620 then everything should get better!!
I must say I'm very disappointed at the way this place treat their customers. I'm a diamond member with Hilton and I have never been treat like they treated me. I stayed with this place for 31 days and let me explain to you how awful it was.
_ Hotel was undergoing renovation which was not mention on home page. Very loud, slow Internet, awful breakfast and the day I decided to check out finally because I was so done with they way they treat their people was when A BIG BLACK RAT RAN ACROSS MY ROOM!!! Called the front desk and changed my roomed. NO upgrade but downgrade to one bed for the night and the manager told me this IS VERY NORMAL IN FISHERMAN WHARF AREA!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Instead of trying to apologies or try to make things better, you're tell me is very normal!!!! WOW!!! I stayed with Hilton all the time but I have never been treated this way. I checkout the next day and will never EVER STAY WITH HILTON/2620 EVER AGAIN.  I paid about $400 a night + $50 for parking to not get a motel treatment but I guess Motel would treat you much better than this!!! Don't recommend anyone to stay here. ALSO, my Starbucks cup and charger got lost while i was staying with them and they couldn't help me with that either.

I called ahead to make sure we got connecting rooms. Of course when we got there we didn't have connecting rooms. I stood firm about needing connecting and after some time we were bumped up to a suite. The front desk was nice about the problem. The room was so nice. Clean and beds were great. Make sure you get a room overlooking the courtyard, otherwise it's noisy. Our room was quiet. I slept well, had a nice shower with a nice towel. Walked to fishermans wharf and had some clam chowder at boudins. This hotel left me wanting for nothing. I'd Definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 4days and we loved it!! The beds were so comfortable loved that they had a mini fridge. Especially when traveling with kids that mini fridge was useful. The rooms are little small but it was fine. Another plus is you are not far from fishermans wharf. You are literally 3 short blocks away.... Not far from the double decker bus tour... Walgreens right across a street!!! The staff was nice and welcoming. Do they do serve breakfast it is alittle pricey but delicious and the waiters were great! But if you are a light sleeper I don't recommend staying in a room facing the street cause you can hear all the noise. But other than that it was great. We would stay here again. Another plus I forgot to mention they supply organic toiletries!!

My daughter and I stayed here during a recent visit. We chose it based upon its location and price. It is close to Fisherman's Wharf, but not TOO close. It is also a short walk from North Beach. The renovation is still underway, but what we experienced was quite good. The beds were comfortable. The new (huge) flat screen TVs were very nice. We had no difficulties using the free wi-fi. Plus, although it has nothing to do with the quality of our stay, we both enjoyed the driftwood artwork behind the front desk counters. :-) We would certainly stay here again.

This is about the Groupon and customer service.  The boyfriend had a medical emergency in NYC so I immediately contacted hotel and Groupon to change reservation. Hotel says Groupon has to send them an email, Groupon says only hotel can make change.  Call hotel a third time, they take my info and will call Groupon.  I wait.  And wait.  And wait.  Now it's the day of my reservation, and I call again.  We talked to Groupon, they told us we can't make a change to a reservation at our own hotel (como??).  So I am out $200 for fun.  I think these guys are d's, both for their customer service and their communication.  The least you could do is call a girl back... and I usually am so annoyed by entitled Groupon users.  I just could have used a little professional courtesy and not having to spend 2 hours on the phone plus losing my $200!

Very convenient location within walking distance to all the sights of Fishermans' Wharf and North Beach. Clearly they are trying since the lobby was totally renovated recently. But for $350 a night, the walls were a little too thin (heard everyone/thing in the halls, the people in the room above us and the room next door), and the rooms were just ok. No in room dining (okay you could order out from a near-by restaurant so technically ...) The rooms were very clean which is a huge plus. But nothing over the top in terms of amenities. It was just ok. The cost was just a lot for the very little you got.

Housekeeping great, daily breakfast overpriced $20, was not aware of any amenities (gym, spa, etc) good location near Fisherman's Wharf, most disappointed with front desk and management who were disorganized and not very motivated-and I'm one for that super happy fake personality just would have liked more organization.

Having never been to San Francisco I chose the hotel based on previous reviews. It definitely did not disappoint. The hotel is centrally located with many forms of public transportation nearby. The room and common areas were very clean and well maintained as well as up to date and tastefully decorated. The staff was not overly friendly but answered all of my questions. I would definitely stay again.

Great location, clean rooms and again great location. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and almost as soon as we did the fire alarm goes off. My husband and I get outside and realize no fire then the fire alarm sets again. I call the front desk and ask what's going on and they say work was being done on the gym and they had to test the alarm. (Why they don't tell guests was beyond me) so Friday morning comes and we are awakened at 730 by another fire alarm. This time someone was smoking on the stairwell and set it off. I call front desk and they tell me this. I figured maybe a drink would be offered at the bar or something but nothing. The rest of the stay went well. There are zero amenities at the hotel but with so much to do, even during a 5 day stay, we didn't need anything other than the room. The beds are comfy and cleaning service is great. Had a great trip here. Just feel communication between staff and guests could be better. If we come to San Fran again we would come back for certain.

The lobby was amazing. The hallway smells a little smokey. Our room was up against Bay Street. It was pretty noisy. But we slept through it all night long. The location and the price is what makes this hotel the best value. Overall we are glad that we stayed here. Have a good experience.

The Good:
-LOCATION. Not directly along Fisherman's Wharf but a short 5-minute walk away. There are also supermarkets such as Walgreens, Trader Joe's and Safeway all within a 5-minutes walk of the hotel. Felt safe walking around the area even at night. Easy access to Muni stops that take you into downtown or to the Golden Gate Bridge.
-ROOM. A room for two people came with two queen-sized beds. Bathroom is nice and clean. TV's are large and there is a decent-sized fridge in the cabinet. Closet is spacious.
The Bad:
-VIEWS. No views from this hotel because its only 3 stories high. I believe we had a view into the small courtyard/pool area in the center of the hotel.
-LAYOUT. The hotel spanned the length of an entire city block and because of where our room was, we had a good 3 minute walk from the elevator to our room.
Overall impression:
-Reasonably priced given the location
-Not too fancy, more cozy
-Would stay here again

Good location... Lobby looks great, but the rooms are pretty basic and generic for the price.

My biggest complaint is the NOISE!!!  All the windows are single glass, and we could hear every single noise outside and was frequently woken up.  The hotel delivery truck woke us up every morning at 5am!!!

AC in the room didn't work.  Plantation shutters were broken and did not close properly.

The location is great.  The hotel has issues.  I'm here for a conference, and the air conditioning in the conference room is broken.  The staff brought in a loud fan.  I was looking forward to an amazing remodeled fitness room, but it's small and minimal.  They have just a few treadmills and elliptical machines, which are new but the TVs aren't hooked up.  The air conditioning was also broken in the fitness room.  The best thing about this hotel is the opportunity to walk out the door and see San Francisco.

The location of this hotel is great because it is so close to the Wharf. The hotel is decent but nothing spectacular. The room was small. The lobby makes it look nicer than the rooms. We were on a low floor and could hear all of the traffic and people near us in other rooms.

Not sure I would stay again but if you aren't looking for something super nice and like its convenient location, it isn't bad.

My fiance and I recently stayed here during our first trip to San Francisco ever and overall, we really liked it. For the location, you really can't beat the price. I had some family stay at another hotel that was a block closer to the water and they paid almost 2x as much!

The lobby is nice, the rooms are clean and well kept and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The concierge was very helpful and suggested some restaurants and activities while we were in town.  I was surprised at how nice this hotel was given the location and price.

The ONLY reason that I'm not giving them 5 stars is due to the noise! We were lucky enough to get a courtyard room, but even then we still had some trouble. We flew in from the East Coast very early on our first day, so as you can imagine we were exhausted by about 8pm that night. There was a wedding party in the courtyard that was very loud and therefore we had some trouble falling asleep. We didn't call the front desk to complain since it was a wedding party, so we were trying to be sympathetic and since it was still pretty early on a Friday night.

The next night though, there were some guys in the courtyard around midnight that woke my fiance up from a dead sleep. He said they were just talking in normal voices, so I'm guessing the insulation must be pretty bad, if normal speaking voices can wake someone up from 2 flights above. They were gone pretty quickly, so I'm sure that someone called the front desk before we could.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. If you're a light sleeper, then I would request a courtyard room (from other reviews, the noise from the street facing rooms is even worse) and I would pack a small portable fan to help drown out the noise!

Hotels in this area are very expensive, so the $256 price for 1 night can't be a factor in my review. Love the friendly staff and modern design of this hotel. Great location. We walked to the wharf in less than 10 minutes. No free breakfast. Cool bar with interesting cocktail menu. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I like that it's a smaller hotel. If someone is looking for a hotel in this part of San Francisco, I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here last night on business and will not be coming back.

Good location, if you like that sort of thing. Super touristy area with not great restaurants nearby- but seems to be a pretty popular area.

Fitness center is awesome. Recently redone and one of the best I've used.

Customer service was terrible. I won't name names but the woman that checked me in was very rude and unwelcoming. Checking out was no better- the woman was rude.

My room was TINY and very loud. Also, the bathroom was dusty and the paint was peeling on the door and vanity.

I specifically checked the website for room service and it says this:
In-Room Dining provides guests great food and service in the comfort and privacy of their hotel room. Menu options for in-room dining range from a classic burger and garlic pommes frites to local specialties. Enjoy the benefits of the nearby Fisherman's Wharf with Dungeness crab cakes, bay-shrimp quesadillas, Fisherman's Wharf Crab Sandwich, and more.
YET THERE IS NO ROOM SERVICE? I called and ask.... the front desk told me there was no room service and that a manager would call in regard to the confusion- I never got a call.

If you are a business traveler, you shouldn't stay here. The internet is very slow, and they just aren't focused on getting things right. I would never recommend this hotel or stay again. It'd be one thing if customer service was great, but it was awful.

I don't know why they don't have better reviews. The rooms are really nice and very spacious. My husband and I visited on our honeymoon. King size bed, ok coffee maker, nice hair dryer, very modern. And you can't beat the location. It was a good thing we didn't rent a car! $50/night just to park and there's no reason why you would need one if you're just here to see the sights. Bike rentals everywhere, that was so fun. We walked everywhere in just 2 days. I would stay here again. Oh, and great price!

Don't believe everything you read. According to the hotels website they have room service, and a market. The room service is a flier on the desk for Grubhub! You have to meet them in the lobby when they deliver! I don't eat a lot in the room but I do like to have coffee in the morning. And at $200+ per night, room service is a must have. The market is top ramen and chips with a microwave in the lobby. Based on other reviews I requested a room in the middle of the hotel because of the street noise. You could still hear every footstep and cough in the room next to and above you. Very disappointed.

We chose to try 2620 on a whim and were very pleased. I was a little worried upon booking due to this hotel being so new and not many reviews but was super pleased upon arriving.
Super clean, decorated in a lovely nautical contemporary motif. The location is supreme. Close to shopping, fisherman's wharf, drugs store, little Italy, restaurants, pubs, etc. We walked to a park near the golden gate, was so lovely. Everything is super convenient to walk to.
Coming from the airport? A shuttle from the airport is $17 per person vs hiring a car for $60 (which we did from airport when we flew in) the shuttle is the way to go.
Newly renovated and everything felt very up to date! Book you won't be disappointed if looking for a clean, simplistic, new hotel.
Only qualm was coffee maker in room was a tad dusty.. But other than that no complaints. The concierge (Debbie) was very helpful and sweet! We will be back!

Beautiful lobby, and that is the only thing nice I have to say. My room was not clean-my phone had something sticky on the receiver....ewwwww. Felt a little like a motel 6 once out of the lobby-mattress was lumpy, musty smell trying desperately to be covered up with a strong cleaner or air freshener....got worse as the cleaner smell wore off. Customer service skills come in two sizes: overly brown-nosey or borderline rude, not helpful at all at resolving issues. Very disappointing.

Horrible service. After driving 9 hrs I went to check to find out you have to pay for parking in the parking structure. Then the Woman at the front dest didnt specify the price for the parking. After an argument I told her I wasnt from the area she ignored me and didnt tell me anything else and sent me on my way. Spoke to the assistant general manager who said: I dont want to get into a despute over this in the lobby. I told him Were guest. He said I hope u have a good stay. I said i hope so as well. Over all I would much rather stay in a different hotel next time due to my experience with the front dest and knowing how the assistant general manager handles situations in this hotel. Horrible customer service.

Beautiful hotel. The entire front desk staff was amazing!  They were so helpful and friendly.  The rooms were a great size and clean. The big hd tv's were a nice plus. It was a short walk to Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square. Pier 33 was a decent walk away. You really could walk anywhere from here or take the trolley or f line bus which both had stations right around the corner.

This place used to be the Hilton and they're still working on finishing the transition. I liked the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby is extremely nice and I wish that translated to the rooms. There are a couple things I noticed - chipped paint, peeling wallpaper, a cupboard door slightly hanging off it's hinges etc - that need to be addressed at some point, but the bed is nice and comfortable, the linens are clean and the 50 inch flat screen TV in the rooms is pretty great. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is a big deal for us. Oh and I loved the tea and coffee in the room - used the machine twice daily!

The major, major negative about this place is that parking is pretty horrendous, but isn't that just standard here in SF? You can self park for $40 a night, but good luck finding a spot late on a weekend night. Valet is $50 per night. If you can't find a spot they will valet the car at the self park rate, but still. I personally think they should have dug down another level for more parking. Street parking is metered.

I would definitely stay here again when all the remodeling is complete - want to check out the club lounge they are planning on adding. It's definitely a great location if you want to be close the Wharf.

Quiet rooms - ours was between guest floors on a sold-out Saturday night and even though we saw families with kids in the hallways, we HEARD NOTHING! Nice staff, especially Joanna, our concierge, and Ernest, our bell person. $40 parking was okay for the area with unlimited in-out privileges, plus its charged per reservation night, not by calendar day so you don't get stuck with an extra day's charge. My family and I were satisfied with this hotel, it was clean and attractive, the location is within two easy walking blocks from Fisherman's Wharf,.
The price we got on the internet was reasonable for the room and the area, the parking fee for self parking per night is a stiff $40.--.
The Mariott hotel right around the corner only charges $ 35.-- per night for valet service.
A consideration for a future stay for me would be  to request a room located on Jones Street on the lobby side of the hotel, this is the quietest area I observed in this area.
When I checked in I was told that I would be given a quiet room, however my room was right by a very busy and loud street, so remember this if you are a light sleeper.
Their in room WiFi totally sucks, this has been commented by several other reviewers as well..
The breakfast offered by the hotel is not complimentary, the continental version of this costs $12.--, the buffet is priced over $20.--
I don't know about you, but I was much happier to get breakfast down the street at a cute little diner.

Pretty reasonable room, at a far better price than most of it's nearest competitors. We stayed here during a city-wide convention, in truth because all the other hotels in the financial district were booked solid. At the end of the day, given its proximity to the Wharf, it was a nice little find, and I'd probably stay  here again. Read on for details and tips if you stay.

Room: Surprisingly, nice. I had a "2 queen" room on the 2nd floor, Jones street side. The bed was very nice, the room cleaned well, and overall I have very little to complain about as far as the room itself goes. One thing to be clear on however - you'll struggle here if you are a light sleeper. The walls and windows do very little to block out sound, and as a result you'll hear honking, sirens, yelling, hell, at 3:30 a.m. I actually even heard the SEA LIONS barking down on Pier 39, which is like 6 blocks away... the noise travels / echos up the building and you're going to hear it all.

Amenities: This is a "no-frills" place. In the room, you'll get a blow dryer, some soap, lotion, a coffee maker with enough supplies for 2 cups,  a television, and that's about it. I think there is a restaurant attached to the hotel, but come on people, you're in the one of the foodie meccas of the country - don't eat in the hotel!!!

Sleep: Borderline poor. Note the details in the "room" section - I'm a light sleeper, and the noise was tough on me at points through the night.

Hotel Staff: Friendly enough at check in, and then non-existent. The staff manning the desk was efficient, handing us our keys, and that was that. We never saw nor heard from them again.

Value: Fair, considering the location. If you are looking to stay near Fisherman's Wharf, this is a solid choice, and one you likely won't regret.

(1) If you can, ask for a room on the INSIDE of the hotel with a King Bed. These are quieter, and worth the extra $10 or so a night you'll spend if you can't handle noise.

(2) Ask for a room on the Jones Street side if you need 2 Queens. The other side of the hotel is on a busier street, and you'll have to deal with traffic noise nonstop.

(3) DO NOT EAT DINNER AT FISHERMAN'S WHARF if you can at all avoid it. Any native San Fransiscan will tell you the Wharf's food is way overpriced and meant to sucker the tourists. It's not worth your hard earned money, it's that simple.

(4) If you are looking for breakfast, ask the front desk to point you to Hollywood Cafe. They're a pretty terrific find, best fruit plates I've ever seen in my life, atop a huge portion of eggs, all for about $11.00 / person. It's worth it, and it'll keep you happy all day.

(5) This SHOULD be common sense, but just in case. There are a LOT of beggars / con men walking Fisherman's Wharf. Don't stop, don't talk to them, don't let them draw you in...

(6) This is one of the ONLY places near Fisherman's Wharf that ISN'T listed on the bed bug registry... it's the main reason we picked it, and a huge "plus" in my book to stay again - seriously, google it. The number of entries in San Fransisco blew my mind.

If you are looking for a place to flop while staying in San Francisco, this place fits the bill perfectly.  Definitely not a resort/spa experience.  Very clean, comfortable with well appointed lobby and rooms.  I really appreciated the laid back, friendly feel of the place.  Early check in?  No problem.  Late checkout?  No problem.  Offers $17 shuttle to the airport.  Everything very convenient and comfortable.  Also fantastic location.  We had a courtyard room and no problem with noise.  We will be back.

Awesome location, walking distance from the pier area and touristy stuff. Conveniently located across from a Walgreens. I'm not sure why people complain about the valet price, it states it in the terms and conditions when you purchase. Not to mention, you can self park in a garage for 40$ a day and you get in and out privileges. The (public) garage is connected to the hotel, and you need a room key to operate the elevator into the building which makes it safe.

Bathrooms are nicely updated and the beds are insanely comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area and I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel however I don't think I would recommend this hotel to my family or friends. When we checked in yesterday we Found 2 empty bottles in our closet. This morning my kids found two used coffee sachets in coffee maker. It makes me wonder if we are sleeping on Clean sheets or not. I talked to the front desk yesterday and they wrote my complaint down about the bottles and ensure us if they will clean our room. Then this morning we spoke with the manager of hotel after we found the dirty coffee sachets. The manager tried to tell us nothing else he could do about it beside free drinks or breakfast BECAUSE we booked the hotel via EXPEDIA.com
That's unacceptable! We don't care about the free breakfast. I told him that this issues had nothing to do with Expedia. It's hotel responsibility to keep their room clean not the expedia! Very disappointed!

Right in the middle of a conversion from a Hilton. Boutique kind of feel in the lobby, but that's about it.

In town for a conference and booked late, the only thing available was a suite. I thought it would be fantastic, but, not so much.

Bed was comfy and sheets and towels were nice, but small tv, chairs from 1992, and very shoddy wifi.

Give them six months to finish the changeover and it should be decent. For now, on par with your average holiday inn.

Great location, quite room overlooking the courtyard. We choose this hotel at the last minute because our reservation was messed up at a bigger hotel around the corner. Couldn't be happier with our choice; friendly greeting when we arrived and checkin was smooth. Price was even less than most hotels in the neighborhood.  Enjoyed the shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower, no messing around with little bottles.  We'd stay here again.

Great location, clean rooms and good customer service. I truly don't understand why the reviews here aren't good. The concierge was very friendly and the lobby was beautiful. The rooms were decent, didn't seem to match the lobby though. Don't bother renting a car while you are here because you are right smack dab in the middle of everything. Fair priced rooms if you are looking to save a little bit.

We were met with a warm welcome and the room was definitely better than the hotels in the Union district that I've been in. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be near the pier area. The downside was that there was no guest parking available when we arrived so we had to valet which was $50, $10 less than guest parking. And our thermostat was not working in the room so it was a warm night. We were only in town for one night so we just dealt with it.

Stayed here one night Dec 10, '14. Clean, beds comfortable. Close to everywhere you want to be at Fisherman's Wharf. Staff was friendly and kind. Lost power overnight so no showering. Unable to charge me for an orange juice in the morning so was told I could help myself to the refrigerated drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall a good experience but with a few frustrations. Wifi in our room was nonexistent. Tried on iPad, iPhones, and MacBook, and none were able to connect. Talked to front desk about it and they acted surprised but there was nothing to be done. There's a lot of street noise at all hours of the day/night, and also a lot of noise from inside the hotel itself. The rooms were nice enough with comfortable beds. Everything was clean (except the in-room coffee makers). Housekeeping kept repeatedly knocking on the door and trying to come in at 8am every morning, even with a "do not disturb" sign on the door. While I appreciate their eagerness to clean, it was a little bothersome.  The location is pretty good and it's easy to get around from the hotel, and that was the important part.

Went there on a spontaneous evening with the wife and kids got a room in the corner where the door kept getting stuck, other then that they were ok. Their valet is $50 a night which I believe is really high for a guest. They had  self parking but no parking, drove around 4x. But overall customer service was what made them receive the 3 stars. They would get a 3.5 but that's max.

If you're looking for a hotel that is clean, cute, & a perfect location in Fisherman's Wharf, then this place is perfect.  I have no complaints and always never wanted to stay in FW because of the crazy rates and crowded streets.. But this place changed my mind.  It is $40 a day for parking but that is expected and the elevators go straight from the garage to your room which is nice.  Def recommend!

The hotel is in a great location. So close to bus stops, cable cars, and a five minute walk from the pier. The staff was friendly and the breakfast each morning was better than average and served the local Peet's coffee, which was actually good compared to other hotels I have stayed at.

The suite we had was sizable, but the walls were so thin. We could hear our neighbors using the shower/flushing the toilet, and even putting their room key in the slot to open the door. The fold out bed in the living area was uncomfortable, but the bed in the room was super comfortable. Fridge was stocked with free water, which was nice. TVs were large.

The concierge was very helpful, giving us great options for restaurants and hiking spots. We didn't drive here so parking was never a problem. There was a bar in the hotel that was priced just like the surrounding restaurants and served great wine.

All in all, my only complaint is the noise due to thin walls, but you can't beat the location and the staff was great. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Fisherman's wharf and is not planning on spending too much time in the room!

I wish there was a zero star option.

This hotel is to be avoided at all costs. I am a frequent business traveler and spent 10 nights here. The hotel quoted me an initial rate of $169 a night - a steal, right? Then, when I had to extend, they quoted me an additional rate of $269 a night, no problem. Then when I check out, I discovered they were charging me upwards of $500 a night without consulting me. Again - business travel but not professional AT ALL. So today, I'm booking additional travel for next week and realize that Pier 2620 has put an additional $1800 hold on my account and this has put my corporate AMEX over the limit. Again - I was NEVER told about this. I can't imagine if this was on my personal account. I've spent over two hours on the phone with AMEX and my travel agency AND the hotel working through this AND was scolded by the guy at the hotel for being angry.

I've never written a Yelp review before but this is necessary.

Three days later and have received zero feedback from the hotel regarding the hold fee, etc. as I was promised but did see that the manager took the time to look me up on LinkedIn.  Creepy.

You'll book this hotel. You'll arrive. You'll be impressed. The front desk staff are super helpful and accommodating. The lobby is very nice. You'll be given a room that faces the street. In my case one floor up near a stoplight. You'll enter the room and think "maybe these very nice, thick, high quality shutters will block out the noise" (they won't). You'll lie in bed thinking "How long can the street noise, including human voices that you can hear very clearly, possibly continue?" (Well after midnight). "Maybe the fan from the AC/heat will drown out the noise (it won't stay on consistently) "perhaps this cloud-like comfortable mattress will make it all better!" (again, no) you'll hear a woman yell to a friend on the street and the yelp review telling you to ask for a courtyard room will haunt your sleepless dreams. You'll berate yourself. Then you'll berate the front desk staff. They know. Oh, they know. They took your money and handed you a key to a room they knew you wouldn't sleep in. However, if you'll be drinking heavily and returning to your room late to pass out this place is perfect. The proximity to fisherman's wharf and other nearby neighborhoods is undeniable. It's beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. If you plan to sleep you'll want to consider somewhere else.

Argh, mateys! Why were we hauled over to the brig?
We didn't get a wink of sleep on account of the noise.

We learned our lesson and the next day, asked for a courtyard room, FAR AWAY FROM JONES STREET AS POSSIBLE! We couldn't believe the difference this made.

Looks like Pier 2620 used to be a Hilton. Cosmetically most of the"refreshed" work went to the lobby (which smelled of strong lemony bleach all the time...eck.)

Good value for the location, clean but slightly musty.
Be careful which room you book-- else you'll be swabbing the poop deck the rest ar' your trip!

The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, and the TV had cable. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to some great sites. The biggest bummer about this hotel was No Room Service and the restaurant sucked. It is really not a problem if you have time to go out to eat. The cleaning people were great, the room was well taken care of while we were there. The front desk staff were packed with information and were all very sweet. I would stay here again.

Great experience here! The location is perfect. Just minutes to pier 39, ghiradelli square, and Lombard Street. There is also a nice workout room with plenty of equipment. There is also a huge courtyard to enjoy a relaxing drink and conversation or read.

There was construction going on, so it's probably going to be even more modern looking soon.

If you are looking to stay and play in the wharf, look no further! Do yourself a favor, and book at pier 2620.

I really liked this hotel - it has a lot going for it.  Unfortunately, there are some issues.

First the good stuff:
Wonderfully cozy beds
Awesome location, close to everything
Super friendly staff
Easy to get in and out
Fast elevators

Now for the not so good:
Ugh, the noise at night.  Our room faced Jones and I was woken up all night with street sweepers (they sweep every night at 3am!), delivery drivers, and taxis. I asked for a courtyard room, but from what I'm told, all rooms in the courtyard are single King beds, not two queens like we needed.  Bring ear plugs.
No room service.  :(   A hotel of this size needs room service.
No pool or spa.

I would still stay here again because I think the things I didn't like are the norm here. The staff was great, and we did have a good stay.

I stayed in this hotel in early Nov 2014 with 7 other friends.
We all like the location, facilities that it provided.
There was a Photo Booth free photo for customers then.
We all took some interesting pictures.

Later this week, I called the hotel 3 times trying to get the free photos, leaving voice mails two times, email one time. They just don't want to respond to my request. They all deferred to the Mr. Manager. I cannot understand why?

Otherwise, I will give it a higher rating.

So much going for it, but so much lacking.
First, the place looks very nice, everything is clean and the beds are comfy. What its missing is a staff that even notices you're there, no room service, they never warn you that breakfast is actually 21$ for a buffet that is free in any other hotel I've stayed at. The way you find out is a little sign on the table after you've already got a plate and sat down. Our safe key was also missing. When I called to let them know, they said they would look into it but never did. We were there a week.
If you just want a soft bed and a nice TV in yes a prime location, this is your place, but if you don't want to feel slightly cheated at every turn, avoid.

Absolutely do not trust this place. They accidentally charged my card a couple of times... A total of 6 times.

Cons- they did reverse 4 of the 6 charges within the week. The last two, they said they would contact me. I've called several times and have faxed the appropriate paper work showing they charged my card incorrectly. They said they would look into it and never have heard anything--- it's going on three weeks. I had to file fraud on my card against the charges.

Pros- good location but not worth the risk. Let's see if they call me this week... Still waiting.

This hotel was great.  It was clean, the staff was beyond helpful, and it allowed for a nice, relaxing stay.  I had overly positive interactions with the front desk receptionist, Priscilla, who seemed genuinely happy that we were staying there.  The room was huge, the bed was comfortable, and there were nice little touches, such as Coffee Bean coffee in the room and luxury soaps, shampoos, and conditioner.  It also included a nice big TV and a mini-refrigerator.  It's conveniently close to the Pier, restaurants, and bars.  There was free wifi, but it wasn't that great.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I tried multiple times to contact the hotel with questions before my arrival, but it was very difficult to get in touch with the front desk.  And there was one time I called and was put on hold for an extended amount of time and I just gave up.  Also, I would suggest that the hotel adds blackout curtains.  We had light coming in through the plantation shutters, which didn't make it easy to sleep in.  Also, the price charged for parking was $40, which was quite expensive, when there are other lots that were available for $30/day.  Personally, I think charging parking for hotel guests is ridiculous, but I realize that this is the standard in big cities.

I would definitely stay here again.  Overall, I was very happy with the room and the value for the price paid.  I was particularly pleased with my interactions with Priscilla, who was fabulous!  I would suggest anyone to stay here, as it was a very comfortable and beautiful hotel.

I don't write many review,  but if I do,  it's because I had really excellent customer service OR REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.   Unfortunately, this was the latter.  My girlfriend and I had a really really bad experience!

Issue #1 Let's first start off by saying that the phone number on booking.com is wrong... Both on the website and on the confirmation email.

Issue #2 We were driving up for the weekend and on the drive up, we called to see if there was a possibility to check in early.   When the representative answered the phone,  he didn't give a professional greeting.   All he said was "Front Desk".   That threw me off because I wasn't sure if I had the right hotel since we had to search for a phone number and booking.com had the wrong umber listed.  The representative said that they don't have an early check-in so we'll see you at the scheduled check-in time. That was poor customer service.

We get there a little early and double check to see if we could check in.   The said they had a room available so we were happy and it kinda made up for the poor service.

Issue #3 We walk to our room and the hallway smells like weed.  This wasn't on just one occasion.  It smelled like that several times on our way to the room.

Issue #4 Parking is horrible, not bad,  HORRIBLE! Let's just say that if you plan on leaving for dinner and coming back later, don't expect to have any parking available when you come back.   The parking garage doubles as a public parking lot for those who visit Fisherman's Wharf.  After driving around the garage about 3x, we finally found a spot from somebody leaving. The other thing is that the offer valet service,  but they block the other cars who are parked there.   So if you're parked in a slotted spot, valet will park another car in front of yours.   They had a line of cars parked in front of others because they don't have designated parking spots for valet.

The only thing is have nice to say was that the guy who worked at there bar was nice!   We went down for a quick drink and they were about to close in 10 mins since the were really slow.   The guy was nice enough to reopen the bar for us and serve us a drink!   Don't remember his name but did put a smile on our face.

A nice hotel!  The reservation was made and paid for by a school trip, but the experience here was overall very good.  The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (with the exception of the bartender at the bar in the lobby) and the rooms were clean and comfortable.  There's free coffee in the lobby in the mornings but you have to pay for food, which is one of my only complaints.  The layout of the building is also a little confusing since their ground floor is not floor 1, and I got lost my first time trying to get out of the building...

This is my first time traveling to San Francisco. Everything went great and we went to bed getting ready for our long drive next day after check out. Until what woke me up in the morning wasn't my alarm but was a loud bangs and hammering on the walls like a thunder from a room upstairs from 9 am. (My check out time is at 12 my alarm set at 11:30) was so upset and the sounds were so loud I could even hear it through my ear plugs. Oh by the way our water system was down too so I couldn't even take a shower or flush the toilet. I called the front desk and asked them where is this sound coming from and she said "upstairs" casually as if there is nothing wrong with it and I asked how come no one informed us about this when we checked in yesterday" And all she did was "let me transfer you" .
Yes no apologize no nothing. The phone she transferred me did not have someone answering, so basically I had to call again and tell them about what's going on again (btw no apologize for the inconvenience at the second call neither) after 4-5 missed calls and waiting and still no water in my bathroom and no one even told me that from the counter when we check in. I've paid almost 200 dollars per night staying at this hotel and all I've got was a lack of sleep bad services and no apologizes for my inconveniences until I have to beg for it because they don't get why hammering a room upstairs and no water in your room is wrong.

The staff was excellent. The location was fantastic. Close to everything and easy walking. Trader Joes right down the street. The Pier is 3 Blocks away. The cruise Terminal is about 3/4 mike away. Easy walk or taxi ride.

Our room was facing inside per my request. It was very large. The beds were great. The TV was I think a 40" flat screen with plenty of Chanel's.

We didn't eat at the restaurant but we did go to the bar for battling pianos. They have a great you pour wine bar. Lots to choose from. The wine was nice and a good price for SF.

I would stay there again if I go back.

My bf and I booked our stay through Expedia.com for two nights during Valentine's Day weekend. All inquiries were answered perfectly via e-mail by Thomas Pinetti (as suggested by the website). We found the total cost of the room to be reasonable, judging by how nice and clean the hotel was. The customer service as we checked in was excellent! The lobby, bar and dining area had an earthy and very appealing look to it.

The parking situation was easy and convenient however, pricey ($40 a night + tax; $50 valet a night + tax)! Be advised the parking structure doubles as a public parking structure. Walgreens and trader joes are conveniently located around the hotel. Fishermans wharf is two blocks down and Alcatraz island can be seen in the horizon. To avoid trouble with your parking spot I highly recommend you take advantage of the awesome zero emissions public transportation.

The room had a pleasant view of the patio and the white shutters added a comforting vibe. There was free coffee bean coffee provided, along with the usual amenities. The bathroom was very clean, it included: "Be Kind" soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion with an amazing lemongrass scent. My only complaint for this hotel is the ridiculous BAR PRICES. $13 for a Cadillac margarita and $11 Hennessy on the rocks. You are better off going to a bar down the block.

Overall, our stay was pleasant and quiet. The concierge was helpful and informative. Bar area was overpriced however, bartenders were amicable. Parking spot was pricey! Shops conveniently located. I will be returning to this hotel! :)

Great location, service, and the room decor is amazing!! Loved the bed, pillows and shampoos, etc. downfall is bad parking, no hotel parking. Valet is $55 per night and lots of street parking around has street cleaning overnight. Somehow we still managed to get a $66 ticket in addition to filling the meter twice for $10 each...making the $55 look good at this point. The bathrooms were super cool as well except for the super low water pressure in the shower. Bummer. But the rest is great and we got a decent rate on hotels.com for our room!

Exceptional hotel with exceptional service. I booked a weekend stay here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Bill at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and made check-in and check-out a breeze. I asked the events manager (?) Jose to set up a surprise in our room before we arrived and sure enough, chilled champagne and chocolate strawberries were waiting for us upon our arrival.

The location of the hotel itself is excellent-- just a short walk down to Fisherman's Wharf in one direction and to Chinatown and a ton of Italian restaurants in the other. We walked around for most of the weekend and were able to get around quite easily and safely, even at night.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. My boyfriend went down to the fitness center and enjoyed it quite immensely while I, the lazier of the two of us, lounged around in our king-sized bed and watches movies on a larger than life TV screen.

The only thing we had an issue with during our stay was that there seemed to be some kind of construction going on at times  and it got to be quite noisy, but ultimately was not an issue.

I highly recommend a stay at this boutique hotel over the bigger chain hotels that are near Pier 2620 the next time you are visiting San Francisco.

This is a good hotel for the price point.  I was pleasantly surprised to discover they have a concierge service, wine bar and in house restaurant.  It is close to the fisherman's wharf area and key public transit hubs.  However there were a few instances where I asked questions and received incomplete information that would have made the experience smoother.  For instance:

(1) I was told twice the hotel has a shuttle that picks up from the SFO airport.  This is partially true.  The hotel contracts with Airport Express, a shuttle company that picks up at the airport for $17 per trip.  If I had been told this upfront, it would have saved me some time wandering around outside the airport looking for a Pier 2620 hotel shuttle.

(2) You can purchase the breakfast buffet or order off a menu.  I would have definitely been eating the brie stuffed french toast in the morning and not gone to Starbucks had I known it existed.

Overall it was a good experience.  I would stay there again...and ask very detailed questions since they don't provide complete information.

The atmosphere is classy along with the staff. They all were very helpful. My group arrived 5 hours before check in and the front desk offered to hold our luggage while they get a room ready.

After walking around and getting something to eat, we came back and our room was ready.

Our room was spacious and clean.
