We were looking for a place in San Francisco to stay. We have stayed in the Union Square area before. Not the best place to stay considering parking. You generally have to pay upwards $40 or more per day, on top of your Hotel stay. We found Seaside Inn. FREE PARKING :) The rooms were nice. Microwave, refrigerator etc... Close to the Marina and Union St. Where there are restaurants shopping and bars. A few blocks away there is a Safeway if you would like to buy snacks. I would really recommend Seaside Inn. We are going to stay there again for sure :) My girlfirend said a five star would be restaurants and bars at the Hotel lol...

Sayed here from 6/15-6/18. Very friendly/helpful Yogi at front desk! Was glad to have muffins and coffee with fruit and juice offered for breakfast. Rooms were very new, very clean, very comfortable. Although, there must have been a family upstairs from us and i could hear running at wee hours, that was not the Inn's fault. Only downside was wifi was in/out all the time, and i had to sit in parking lot on curb to get service. They should have a few seats outside for those conditions or those who want to just hang outside. Although, there's not much room.
Overall, excellent place would definitelys stay there again. Walking distance to wharf district and all modes of transportation.

We came up from San Jose for an overnight and found a great price for a King room on a discount website.  Availability of free parking was a big selling point, but we were pleasantly surprised to also get an impeccably clean room with tasteful furnishings, super comfy bed, and lots of amenities such as a fridge, microwave, deluxe hair dryer and iron in our room, at this 2 star motel.  The staff was very pleasant in person as well as on the phone.  We enjoyed a short walk to Fort Mason for a lovely view of the bridge and Alcatraz, and there is a ton of great dining and shopping also within walking distance.  Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to stay in the Marina District.

I'm usually used to Hotels like the Wynn,Westin etc. So when the wife booked us here for the one night we were going to be in town, I was not thrilled....BUT, upon getting here and checking in I was totally wrong. Yes it looks like a motel on the outside, but the inside was really nice. The bedding superseded my expectations, westin type bed. The room, very clean, Tv was a nice flat screen. The owner wa friendly and very accommodating. The only downfall was the small parking lot but for $75/night price, it was easy to look past. If you are used to resort type hotels, but are looking for a nice place to crash that's very affordable, I recommend this place. Free wifi, free parking, free continental breakfast...I think yes

This is THE place to stay in San Francisco whether you're a tourist or just getting away for the weekend. It's close to everything! On weekdays, it's under $100/night and weekends about $150-$200 when you go through Priceline.  However, the owner told us to just call her for a better price the next time we plan on staying.

Like Joan L. said, the rooms and furniture are very modern and comfy (except for the lumpy pillows).  I also appreciate the fridge, microwave, and blow dryer when many hotels don't even offer those necessities. There's free parking, but come early because there are only about six or seven spaces.  They also offer free continental breakfast from 7-10am (I think), which are pre-packaged muffins/danishes (kinda stale), juice, and coffee.   And when you get tired roaming the city and just want to veg out, they have satellite TV with millions of channels!

Our home away from home.

Please note though, the rooms are cramped (this is SF), and make sure to request to not be put in the handicap room (if you don't need it) because the room is even more cramped, you don't get much counter sink space, and won't feel comfortable using the handicap shower. FREE WI-FI, but it cuts in and out.

I couldn't be more impressed with this Inn. Centrally located in Cow Hallow Marina area of the city, they are one of the few spots that actually doesn't charge you for parking! That can easily add an additional $50-$100 to any hotel room in the city. Of course, this is a first come first serve lot, so check in on time and leave your car in favor of the ample public transit options during your stay. The rooms were remodeled not to long ago, and they are great, plenty of outlets to charge the various means of technology that have become a staple in our lives and a great big bed with nice sheets and plenty of pillows. Even the coffee maker and shampoos are delightful. What makes the place even better is the staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Be sure to book online for the best rate and don't be afraid to ask them for anything, they are cheerful and represent the establishment well. The outside may look dated and give you the idea your entering just another motel 6 environment, but once you open the door you will see it is far better in every way. Also be advised there are a number of good restaurants walking distance and you can go next door to the bike rental spot to take a rental across the golden gate bride! A great spot that I'll keep in my rolodex for sure. I know where to stay next time I go to the city! By the way, I save 5 stars for the resorts that bring my bags up;)

Such a hidden gem! Stayed here on a recent 5-day trip in SF.

I was on the search for a budget friendly hotel that included free parking and breakfast, while also being within walking distance to restaurants/major attractions (greedy, I know!). The inn is not well advertised, so it took a while for me to come across this place.

Management - Seaside Inn is managed by a friendly Indian couple. While the husband does not speak much English + does not smile as much, the wife is super friendly and talkative. My mom needed a knife to cut up all the fruit she got - manager lady lent us one. My mom had a sore throat - manger lady gave us some salt for my mom to gargle with =)

Free breakfast - consisted of fuji apples, bananas, croissants and muffins. There were also orange juice, cranberry juice, teas, and coffees.

Parking - there were maybe 10 parking spaces available, usually at least 1 or 2 spots were free if you came back to the hotel early enough (before 5 or 6p). Lots of street parking around the hotel - just gotta drive around a bit in search of them.

Complementary toiletry - the organic papaya-scented shampoo/conditioner and body moisturizer were great. My mom came back to LA looking to buy some online.

Room - came w/ 2 full sized beds. Recently remodeled and surprisingly modern. However, either the walls were a bit thin, or I had reallllly loud neighbors! Had to use earplugs to fall asleep. LOVED that the room came with a mini fridge and microwave. Oh, AND FREE WIFI! SCORE! We had a room farther from the street, so street noise was not an issue. -1 star mainly because the bedding had a brown (soy sauce? blood?) stain on it that didn't sit well with me.

At about $100/night over Christmas break, this inn impressed us w/ its location, friendly management, free breakfast and parking.

REALLY loved this hotel!! Flew up from LAX with my girlfriend for a 3 day trip to check out AT&T park for the Giants home opener.

My only other recent visit to SF, we stayed in Union Square, and was just WAY too hectic in that area for me. Marina district was awesome. A lot of cool little restaurants,  bars and shops and way more of a laid back  coastal atmosphere. And you're still close to everything the city has to offer.

Walking in, I really didn't expect the rooms to be so modern and nice. Very clean and well-kept, super soft bed, and a nice flat screen TV. Truly a hidden gem.

Very nice woman and her son that run the place. I will definitely make this my first choice whenever I'm up in San Fran.

Enjoyed this hotel with no real complaints. I would stay here again.

Pros: friendly staff, nice rooms, comfy beds, quiet, free parking, free wifi.
Cons: although free parking, there's only like 7 spaces, breakfast was a package of three stale mini muffins.

Booked 2 nights here based on reviews,  but checked out due to musty/moldy smell that was overwhelming when you walked in. We opened the window and door to try and air out the room,  but both my husband and i have  allergies and it started to bother us right away. We were also concerned about our children sleeping in that environment.    Anyone with asthma or mold allergies would not be able to stay here. I asked the owner/front desk if we could change rooms but she said she didn't have any vacancies and no one to clean our room. I told her about the smell and she offered me air fresher for the room.  We walked up the street and found several nice motor inns with free parking too.  We stayed somewhere else that night even though we couldn't get a refund,  but we were refunded for the next night. Free parking is included,  but there are limited spaces and you have to back out into the street.  There is a refrigerator and microwave which is convenient,  but the room is very limited on space. If you have kids, you may not like how small it is.

Great hotel, nice, clean, very modern and comfortable bed w/flat screen tv & free wifi. The breakfast served in the morning was good. they offered fruits, muffins, pastries, orange & cranberry juice, coffee, tea, hot choc. The room was small but perfect for me and my bf. 25min walking to the pier, very nice quiet neighborhood. We made a reservation which
was a good idea the room was ready on time. Loved the bathroom, shower was big & very clean. Didn't like that the parking lot. it was free but small, difficult to get out & parking was first come first served. I'll definitely go there again. Price was right.
