The room was very shabby, I thought it was worse than a motel room in a third world country!  You got a bath towel paper-thin it's not useable because you simply can't dry yourself with it.  The AC didn't work, TV had no volume. The only light in the room was your nightstand.  The fridge didn't work either.  Under the bed cover, I found crumbs of food on the pillows!
You also have to deposit $5 for the room key.  When checked out, the front desk person has to inspect the room before you get your $ back. Internet connection was almost nonexistent because it's too sloooow...
I know you get what you paid for, but this is beyond "acceptable" condition

Let's be honest, this is more of a residence motel for those who need a bed and a place to stay.  You get that, a full fridge and a microwave or hot plate.  Safe at night, 2 pools, but both are closed for repair by the county.  No obvious crime and safe.  The office staff are all Asians, and cater to them.  But there is one younger (30's) gentleman who usually works days Tuesday to Saturday who is polite and helpful.  He also speaks the clearest English and is very happy to assist. So is the taller gentleman most evenings & weekend, but his English is poor.  There is one very business like middle aged gentleman who never smiles , makes stereotypes and can be very curt & rude.

Otherwise, a good place for a crash pad in this economy, or for a studio like place if that what you are looking for in the SGV with no utilities, limited wifi and Direc TV channels & a bed to sleep at $201 a week or if you have perfect credit, $600 a month .

What you see is what you get.
