One of the worse customer service. I was about getting a room for one of my contractor's in the inn. I called and talked to some guy with a heavy Indian accent. He told me to send him a copy of the driver's license and credit car(back and front). I did that and signed the paperwork he requested. When my contaractors showed u with all the paper work to check in. The guy calles me and tells me the copy of my pic is not clear on my license. I asked him why he would care? since my name matches both on the license and CC. then he said it matters. Anyways, I drove all the way there to show him in person my CC and License. When I tried to explain to him that he was not making sense, he said with broken English that he won't let me have the room. I said fine then give me the forms that I filled out, He refused. Finally after telling him that I would call the cops he gave me my papes back but cursed me out as I was leaving. STAY AWAY from this place

I stayed here for 7+ nights. My room was dirty and very smelly. I do not recommend this place.
I don't think I can upload my pictures of the room to Yelp. However, there's a sign in the room that says "No Smoking." However, the rooms reek of smoke. In addition, my comforter on my bed had a cigarette burn through it! There was also an ashtray in this room.
The sofa in my room was so dirty, it had a glaze.
Customer service was alright. However, my room was not ready at check-in time. I had to wait 2 hours for someone to clean a room for me.

We stayed here on 7/4/13 for one night. There are very few amenities at this establishment. The room was clean but the furnishings appeared to be a hodge podge of different styles put together. It smelled musty like the room hadn't had fresh air in a long time. It's not the best location in town. The staff was ok. I would opt for someplace else if ever in San Jose again.

For the price it's a very basic room. Nothing fancy. Location is perfect, lots of restaurants nearby. Front office very nice and professional. Very fast Wi-fi. Slept well, quiet, no noise woke me up. I would reccomend this reasonably priced Inn.

Stayed here 3-4 times for work because the price is reasonable, just to sleep..I really don't need much. Last time I had long hair all over the bathroom when I checked in and the bed looked not made. This time(today) was checked into a room with what looked like blood stains on the carpet outside the bathroom, a hole in the bathroom door, light out by the bed, and no tv remote. Even w a state gov discount I'm paying 95$..really. I complained and was given a new room and 10$ off..still not worth it. I won't stay here again, and the way this place is run is pure laziness..really, how hard is it to have clean rooms and a clean place to sleep. Pretty hard for them to accomplish obviously. I was even told not to give a bad review if they took the 10$ off( because I threatened it) Sure.. I don't care about the 10$ really. I lied because people should know. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else until they get their act together. I'm a business owner and in today's market, you can't get away with a bad product..people will go somewhere else.

I chose this hotel because I was going to a furry convention down at the San Jose Convention Center, and needed a hotel that was reasonably priced.
-Even though it's a 1.5 mile walk to the convention center, there is one bus stop across the street going to there, and two stops right in front of the hotel to get from the convention center back to hotel.
-sky light over sink
-motion sensor light in restroom (no fumbling around for light switch at 2am)
-AC and Heater worked (and heated/cooled room in realitivly short amount of time)
-Denny's restruant across the street and Wendy's next door
-plenty of wall outlets
-let me check in an hour early (I took the Amtrak into town and to hotel at noon, check in normally started at 1pm or 2)
-got a free upgrade from one bed to two (mainly because I showed up early and the room I was supposed to get wasn't cleaned yet)
-great water pressure in sink and shower
-mini fridge was good size, microwave was clean (and didn't smell)
-even though I didn't use it, glad to see the room had a safe in it
-Even though it is called ABVI San Jose Convention Center, it's still 1.5 miles away (3 miles round trip) from the con center; so unless you don't mind walking that, you're "stuck" taking the bus, or driving (I didn't bring my car).
-TV didn't work. Actually, that's only half true. The TV worked, the cable box worked, but somehow there was some sort of disconnect between the two. I tried unplugging and replugging the cords into various plugs in the back of tv/cable box, but nothing worked. Talked with lady in office (hotel manager?) and they tried to fix it, and they couldn't. Good thing I brought my laptop for free wifi
-no breakfast; yes, there is a Denny's across the street, and a Target down the road, but both are "inconvenient"; ended up going to Target to get breakfast items
-maid was inconsistent as to what time she would show up to the room to clean. First day she was there at 11am, second day I came back from convention at 1pm (forgot my cell phone in room) and she was cleaning it), day before I checked out she was there at 9am, another day she was there at 10am.
-one side of the shower panel was peeling away from the wall
-pepsi vending machine was broken (based on the dust on it, it looked like it had been that way for some time). The Coke machine worked though (but I don't like any Coke products)

Stayed there for a business trip and... will do my best effort to go somewhere else !
Wifi is about the only good thing about it, oh yes, and the 'renovated room', after I had to stay one night in a smoking room, I thought it was heaven !
first night we had a bunch of truckers in the parking lot playing loud music and drinking until 10pm... more music the couple of days that followed... then it was police arresting a nice lane of ladies of the night... then it was a truck parked in the parking so you can't... and sadly the hotel is right under the landing area of SJC, and damned they land often (we had two night with wind forcing them to depart this way, we enjoyed the landings in the end !!!).
all in all, if you can stay somewhere else, save your bucks !
if you do have to stay here... well... go out for dinner until very late (CrowDaddy is not far) !!

I have never done a review but this place makes me want to share with you all my experience!!!!!
First of all the room is $124 for a single bed one person! There are cheaper motels out there! When I got my room I asked for a non smoking room but as soon as I open the door it wreaked of cigarettes! And I notice that the sheets are stained!?!?! Thats not all either they had two major holes in the wall!! Stay away from this place there are better places to stay than this filth!!!! Only giving it one star because I have to rate it....

We had a pretty bad experience here.
Our plans had changed so we needed a place to stay for one night on a Sunday, the only problem was that we needed to check in at 5AM. After calling many different places, this Inn said that they would let us check in at that time and told us it would cost us $109.
So we drove straight there, rung the doorbell about 10 times and no one ever came to the window. We decided to give them a call and the woman that we just spoke to on the phone (who now sounded like she just woke up) answered and finally came to the window. She ended up charging us for 2 nights (Almost $300 with tax included), yet kept on implying that she was doing us a favor by letting us check in "early". We were so exhausted and frustrated from the whole night that we just paid it.
This place is currently under renovation and we thought we were lucky because we got one of the newly renovated rooms. The walls and carpet looked fairly new as well as the bedding. Though it looks like they kept the old furniture.
Although the room was rennovated, it seemed like housekeeping was already doing a horrible job at keeping it maintained. I found remnants of the last visitors on the floor. Nothing too nasty, just hair clips and other things that might've fallen out of their bags. Because these things were very noticeable, I got the feeling that housekeeping didn't do a good job of inspecting the room and making sure they made it comfortable for the next visitor. I was right.
I noticed that although the bedding looks like it was new, when we looked at it closely, there were a few white stains on it. EW! They probably just received these not too long ago and they're not even taking the time to maintain and clean it even though that is something each hotel SHOULD do after each visitor checks out.
And don't get me started on the towels. Every single one of them had stains on it. Also the drain was clogged, and the bath tub would start to fill up with water very shortly after we turned on the water. The refrigerator wasn't clean as well. There were remnants of food inside.
I felt dirty, just being in the room and took about 5 showers when I got home. It looks like all that house keeping does is make the bed, re-fold the towels and add new toiletries.
They're wasting so much money renovating this place. If house keeping keeps half-assing their jobs, the rooms will turn back into complete crap in no time. What a waste of money. Don't stay here. It's disgusting

Dirty, old, smells cigarette, bad neighborhood.
I booked non-smoking room, got put into a very old very smelly dirty old room next to the parking lot where a bunch of workers were drinking beer and playing the car radio very loud.
I left right away, lost my night (despite I had booked a non-smoking room online), went to a motel in Los Gatos for the same price I had a great clean, new and quiet room.

after looking at the reviews for other hotels in the area, this one had the best rate and the best reviews for what i could afford. we paid $112 including tax for a single queen room and it was good for the price, i suppose. nothing fancy about it but i will stay again. it was quiet, the room was neat, the bed was comfy, and the woman working in the office was nice even though we had to leave early(I work on-call) We will stay again just because it was convenient. if you are feeling like pizza, order from pizza express because they deliver to the hotel and they are good. the room got pretty cold without using any heating so either crank the heater or use a jacket.
the only thing i wasn't a fan of was the lack of water pressure in the shower and the hair dryer that didn't work very well.
