I recently attended a conference for five days at San Jose State University and this was where they lodged me.

Drive into their parking lot and check into that room! This hotel has really comfy beds and pillows. Their rooms are standard, but very clean. Their bathrooms have towels that are nicely folded into seashells. They also have complimentary shavers and sewing kits if you need them. Breakfast was okay, it could have tasted better. The service here was also nice. The area also seem pretty safe.

I wasn't expecting much from an airport hotel and I was not disappointed.  I really had my doubts about staying here, but we had an early flight and wanted to be close.

Pros include free parking, free wifi, free breakfast, and close to the airport.  The cons are that I felt so dirty from the moment I entered my room until the moment I left.  There were scratches and skid marks all throughout the hallway; there were multiple hairs on both beds and the toilet; a strange substance on the phone and splattered on one wall; and a really gross red bloodlike substance on one of the bath towels that I unfortunately did not see until I was already using it.

If you're really not picky about where you stay, then it's probably OK for you, but if you're even vaguely concerned about cleanliness please go somewhere else.

pros:
rooms are clean and up to date.  36" flat screen TV. couch, microwave, fridge.
FREE, parking, breakfast, wifi
friendly service
in front of rail station, you pay $6 all day pass and it will take you into the heart of downtown.  if you wanna go to the improve comedy show, or a sharks game, or just see a play,  go to bars or restaurants,  and not worry about parking or DUI.
Denny's next door
7-11 down the block

cons.
not the greatest place to be outside late at night.

its not the Hilton or the Marriott but then again its not motel 6 or super 8 either.

We got a good deal on a room here and were enjoyed our stay.
Pros:
-Convenient to airport
-Extremely friendly and helpful girl at the front desk
-Clean room
-Laundry is easy
-Nice but small gym
-Good breakfast and to-go option

Cons:
Maybe not the nicest neighborhood, but we were looking for convenience to the airport.

$129.00 a night is considered cheap in this town. I would check prices before you book. We just showed up and think they sell you the king -suggesting they do not have any other rooms available.

Clean nice linens and ok attitude at front desk. Marriott is the same price and is close by. Calll both before arrival. Good luck,

I'd like to grade this place up.  Much about it is adequate or better.  But we reserved weeks ahead and checked in mid afternoon and nothing, Nothing, was said about their plans to turn All the water off from 5pm to 10pm.  We only learned when we tried to take early showers for our early trip to the airport.  Soon we couldn't even flush the toilet.

I understand they may need to do repair work but they owe it to us to warn us before we check in.  They claimed they gave us a piece of paper that mentioned it, but they did not.  Even if they had it would be unacceptable to not mention it before we signed up.  In fact they should have called us when they scheduled it.

So, based on the fact they gave far less than the minimum expected of an American motel we asked for a refund.  Nothing.  That's unacceptable.  Failing grade for failing performance.

Staff was very rude, and short with me when I was checking out. They have no taxi service and almost sent my cab away that I called for cause the man in the front was in a bad mood.

I was iffy about the hotel, especially after reading one of the yelp reviews. The hotel isn't located in the best neighborhood. When we pulled up to the parking garage there was a shady looking person who was just standing near the entrance. Even so, once we got to our rooms everything was good. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The pros outweighed the cons.

Pros:
Cheap
Near downtown San Jose
Free covered parking
Free wireless Internet access
Free Hot Breakfast (We didn't eat breakfast here, so I don't know if it's any good or not.)
Microwave and Refrigerator
Couch

Super close to the airport. Decently priced with free parking and Denny's right next door for those late night munchies also 7/11 is also right down the street in walking distance. Very clean and comfortable beds also it's really quiet.

Neighborhood is sketchy. It's neighboors are Super 8 and another budget motel so the people outside were kinda strange. But once you're parked and inside, its fine. The room was good. Just staying the night for an early flight the next day. Super close to the airport. The breakfast smelled great, I was in a hurry so didn't get a chance to taste it. The only thing I disliked was the spacing under the door allowed so much.light in it kept waking me up and it looks like you left a light on. Otherwise, staff was great and amenities were great. Would definitely stat again for the price I paid.

My Family is easy travelers, as always, we don't need fancy hotels.  Comfort Suites was a good deal for us to stay for two nights on a recent trip.

Room is big and roomy enough for 4 of us, two queen beds and a sofa, a desk and chair. I knew it comes with mini fridge and microwave, but surprised to see a little sink in room too.

Clean room, furniture showed wear and tear, no biggies. Bathtub slip resistant stickers need replacing. There is not enough room to hang our towel in the bathroom (we want to reuse them for both days to save water!!!) The bed is too soft for me, but dad liked it so much he was always the last to get up.

Free Parking: it's not that tight, I have a 4Runner and could park without extra effort (and everyone would tell you I suck at parking). I did not see a security camera inside the parking, wish they have one, tho we did not feel unsafe.  It's downtown area, there are some interesting characters around. But then again, there are interesting characters in every single downtown!  Trolley station outside of the hotel.  Also very close to 101/880 freeway entrance/exit.

Free breakfast: Regular breakfast choices: pastries, bread/toast, cereal; scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash brown, make-your-own-waffle; hard boiled eggs and small yoplait yogurt inside the little fridge, etc.  All sorts of condiments: Jam, syrups, butter, ketchup, etc.  Along with attentive staff at breakfast hours.  Nothing fancy, but works.  Save us at least $20 each morning for not going to Mcds. :)

Overall a good place for family to stay.

I was disappointed.  There was food crumbs and a marble on the bed and used soap in the shower.
The bed was comfortable enough and the room was pretty quiet, but I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing my family back to that area. The meth addict walking up and down the sidewalk as we pulled in was the kicker.
I didn't complain to the front desk, and there wouldn't have been much they could do, but next time I'll look for a better area.

I did the San Jose Rock n Roll Half Marathon, and stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights.

PROS
+Cheaper than the surrounding hotels. Not fancy, but not ghetto
+Complementary shuttle ride to and from the airport
+Clean room. Comfy bed. Couch.
+AC, microwave, fridge, WiFi, mini gym
+Close to Convention Center/Downtown; about 3 miles away. Probably a 5-10 minute drive, or 30 minute walk. It was an easy walk... you just walk straight on the same street basically.
+VTA Light Rail was across the street, so you can easily take that to the heart of Downtown. If I used and understood it correctly, it was a $2 ride.
+Dennys next door, and 7-11 about block away.
+Complementary breakfast! It's complementary, so don't complain. They had muffins, toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, patties, hashbrown, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yoplait yogurt, tea, coffee, orange juice, bananas, apples, and so on.

CONS
-Sketchy neighborhood at night. But isn't all downtown areas sketchy at night? During the day, it's fine.
-Nothing to necessarily see/do close by. Is there even anything to see/do in San Jose anyways? Lol. jk.

I wanted to explore the downtown area a bit, so I walked from the convention center to my hotel with multiple detours. As soon as night hit, weird people were lurking - I was offered rides from strangers, cops looking at me; it was uncomfortable. Then again, you shouldn't be walking around downtown by yourself, female and with a touristy/lost expression on your face.
