I am very pained to give such a low rating for this hotel. It was a nice hotel, our rooms were cleaned very nicely on account that we had 5 people in one of the large rooms, the location is perfect as well. Although, I lost something very sentimental. I left my 20 year old blanket mixed in the sheets of the bed. I didn't realize until I got home that I had left it behind. I immediately called the hotel after coming home, and they had not found anything, although it could be mixed in with the laundry. We called everyday for a week straight after the stay, and still nothing. It has now been a month and no one has contacted me since with any information. I used to work for a Courtyard Marriott and it's a great company! The main concern is the guest. Although, at this hotel, I seemed more of a bother. I know for sure I left the blanket in the room and I am highly disappointed and saddened at the way this hotel handled the loss. That was a very sentimental item to me and I have learned the hard way not to bring important items with me while traveling. I just wish I could trust hotels like this SO I can be as comfortable as possible with my home items.

Brand new courtyard, smells great, looks great, excellent layout and amenities. Very friendly staff. Next to the check in desk is a small concession area with reasonable priced items. Across from the lobby is a business friendly restaurant and bar with great food and reasonable prices. Room is very nice and consistent with other Courtyards. One star hit because it is next to a noisy freeway and parking is a challenge. It is in the same lot as the Target so you'll need to hunt for an open spot. All-in-all a great place to stay.

Large rooms, new facility, very clean. No breakfast buffet but standard Courtyard 'Bistro'. Great for families of 4-5 if you need to sleep in the same room.

Just okay. Nothing special. I wanted it to be good, but the service was just okay. The room was just okay. Not even coffee available in the lobby. Nickel and dime on everything.
There are better alternatives.

New courtyard. Clean. Friendly staff. There is a Target next door in case you forgot anything.
The only negative: Elevators are ridiculously slow.

I really have enjoyed my stay here at the courtyard. The rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. In the morning they have a small café where you can purchase breakfast and in the evening you could also purchase dinner. The only downside is that you have to share the parking lot with target stores but it's okay because it's close in walking distance to the hotel.

Would've rated a 4 star for the stay but....
Had a great stay here for a 49ers/eagles game the end of september, really clean rooms, great room service had no issues with getting extra towels etc... And the location was very convenient less than 2 miles away from the Levi stadium :) we walked about 20 minutes to get to the game .
My only complaint was the front desk....
Just one particular front desk employee, her name was Sarah I believe, an employee was already helping us and midway as he was sorting out our balances for us, then she tells him "stop whatever you're doing and help me" completely disregarding the fact that he was already helping us... Customers.... Hello! and she was hovering over the employee already helping us as he It's like hi we're customers too were trying I just thought it was very unprofessional and RUDE !
There was definitely a more professional way to go about it and we very disappointed with the her manners.

Very clean, because they are new. We only stayed one night. Got a room close to high way. We didn't notice it would be a problem when we checked in. After we all settled, I couldn't fall asleep with the constantly car noise from the highway.(1 car length away, there is a chicken wire fence between the highway and hotel)
Pros: reasonable price, very close to Target. Many restaurants in walking distance. (The restaurants are closer to Hyatt Hotel, which is away from highway.)

Firstly, I had a pleasant stay here and would probably book this hotel again. But I will write about my experience with front desk and the way this one particular employee had handled my situation was unprofessional. I had booked this hotel by a third party service and had a room booked for a double queen bedroom. But I was assigned to a king bedroom that was right next to the freeway. So I went back to front desk to arrange a new room and she had told me that there are no double queen bedrooms left available when I had called to make reservations and had a room with my name and had confirmed a few days prior to my stay. I then asked if it was okay to have another king bedroom that was not next to the freeway, and she offered me a double queen bedroom when she clearly said that the rooms were fully booked. What service is this? I was dumbfounded and annoyed by the way she handled this situation, but I stuck with the king bedroom because I didn't want this situation to be dragged on any longer. She had offered me a roll out bed but I refused. The rooms itself are very clean well decorated and had microwave as well as a mini fridge and coffee maker. Two tv screens, a clean bathroom, and a little living space. I enjoyed the stay but would recommend the front desk to provide better service as well as showing professionalism when dealing with situations such as one that I was in.

***There are several Courtyards in the South Bay, but this San Jose location is the newest one and it features nicely fresh and contemporary rooms with a big lobby; room rates are reasonable though this hotel is not located as close to key San Jose and South Bay spots as other Courtyards in the San Jose area***
This Courtyard by Marriott has all the pluses you come to expect with a Courtyard by Marriott--complimentary parking and Wi-Fi, a 24-hour fitness center, straightforward but nice and comfortable rooms, a quick-order bistro for breakfast and dinner, a business friendly lobby with complimentary Wi-Fi and power outlets, and room rates that are much more reasonable than nearby full service Marriott hotels. This Courtyard by Marriott is also a very new property so the whole hotel feels fresher even though it still has a fairly standard Courtyard feel.
There are areas where this Courtyard does stand out though. The fitness center features only a few exercise machines, but the fitness center is big and spacious. The exercise machines also show off great built-in TV screens. The sound quality is good and you get a crisp and clear digital picture unlike a lot of exercise machines at Courtyards and Marriotts where there is a lot of static, color distortion and snow.
The lobby definitely is equipped like other Courtyards with a 24-hour market where you can pick up toiletries, snacks, drinks, frozen food, and cans of soup (the market is equipped with a microwave too). There is also a free business center to print out documents including airplane tickets. And like other Courtyards, this Courtyard has a seating setup with many power outlets nearby (as well as complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the lobby); this Courtyard also has the common Courtyard Bistro that sells simple, quick and some would say not-that-great food for breakfast and dinner. This Courtyard though offers a much larger lobby and the lobby seating has a little more character--more modern with flashes of fun color and a great variety of seating for more lounge-like hanging out as opposed to seating primarily suited for dining or working like other Courtyards.
The rooms at this Courtyard do stand out a little as well. Like other Courtyards, the rooms are simple and no frills and more functional than upscale or unique. Most of the rooms at this Courtyard are studio suites though so you get a fairly large living area with a couch and coffee table setup as well as a mini-fridge and microwave (not that common at Courtyards). This Courtyard also features more modern glass showers. The rooms are also have a more contemporary color scheme than other Courtyards. Rooms are also comfortable with nice beds, good linens and a nice room temperature.
There are not many areas where this Courtyard could be better though the elevators seemed to be very slow. Maybe it was just because this Courtyard has five floors instead of the three floors that many Courtyards feature. In addition, this Courtyard's location is not very close to key San Jose and South Bay restaurants and destinations. It is very close to many businesses and it is right next to a new Target that you can walk to, but this Courtyard is more convenient to the Fremont area rather than great South Bay towns like Saratoga and Los Gatos.
Room rates are very reasonable. Weekends here (maybe because of the location) can be very reasonably priced and among the least expensive of all Marriott brand hotels in the Bay Area.
Service is very good here--friendly, professional and polite like most Marriott brand hotels. For the Platinum arrival gift, Marriott Rewards Platinum members now receive 400 Marriott Rewards points and a complimentary Starbucks coffee or one item from the market, which could be a snack, drink, frozen treat like individual Haagen-Dazs ice cream cups, or a frozen food entree.
This Courtyard has a lot of pluses. The room rates are great and the hotel has a new and fresh look. This Courtyard's location is not as great as other Courtyards in the area in terms of convenience to signature South Bay spots (though a great location in terms of feeling comfortable in a safe and upscale business community), but it is still a good property for those staying in the South Bay on weekends.
As mentioned, this Courtyard offers complimentary parking. The parking lot is fairly big and it is easy finding an open spot.

I stayed here Memorial weekend because I was in California for a graduation. My total stay was 4 nights. I flew in on Thursday morning and went shopping until check-in time at 3pm. I honestly didn't spend too much time at the hotel as I was out and about but I can say that when I was at my hotel, I always arrived to a clean and organized hotel room.
In my hotel room, I had one king size bed, couch, desk (w/lamp), dresser, a mini-fridge under the coffee maker in a cabinet, a chair, 2 small tables, a full length mirror and a TV mounted on the desk (it was able to slide out and turn the screen to face the bed). It was very simple, modern furniture. The bathroom was immediately on the left when you enter the room, the door was quite heavy and I used my shoes to keep the door open so I could run between the bathroom and my suitcase, etc while getting ready to go out. The bathroom had a walk-in shower made of clear glass. The counter had one sink with space on each side to put your things.
The room had many light fixtures so instead of one large light, you can decide which parts of the room you want to illuminate.
The staff (I encountered) were on the younger side but I only interacted with them during check-in and check-out. They seemed busy whenever I came/went and therefore didn't greet me.
When I checked-in I received a 10% off dinner items coupon to use at "The Bistro" (eatery in the lobby) but I didn't venture there, good to know it is there though. If you do have food cravings or personal needs, within the same parking area is Target, Chick-fil-A and a few other stores nearby. I loved the ample FREE parking!
The area seems to be still developing; my local friend informed me that this hotel was new (about a year old). It is very close to the freeway but I did not hear any noise and did not have to deal with traffic around the area.
If I am in the area again, I will definitely stay here again. It's great for the price!

This Courtyard just opened up in 2014 so everything on site is brand new and looks like it:
-The rooms are really nicely laid out and quite large. The beds and showers are a step above those of any other Courtyard I've stayed at in the past.
-The air conditioning system is super easy to use and relatively quiet, it's not one of the old 'window' type units that are super noisy.
-There's free wifi or fee based for faster speeds.
-The gym is quite nice for a Courtyard with both cardio and weight equipment. There's also a pool if you're looking to get a swim in.
There's a Target next door that sells all food, toiletries and even booze if you need it, pretty convenient. With this also comes a free parking lot. While standard for Courtyards other than in the city, a lot of the other hotels in Silicon Valley try to charge you 10-15 bucks a night for parking so this is a nice perk.
The only real drawback of this location is the noise if you are a light sleeper. If you are a light sleeper be sure to ask for a room on the even numbered side of the building so you don't get the freeway noise all night.
All in all a really nice hotel, if it was 50 bucks cheaper a night I'd be ecstatic and give it 5 stars! :)

Stayed here from Friday til Monday morning.
This Courtyard Marriott was chosen due to its convenient location from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Walking there will take just under 30 mins. There's a Target in the same lot just 50 steps away from the lobby, as well as many different restaurants 1 block away. With a group of five sharing the Larger Guest Room (?) splitting the cost for our time period there was $220 / 3 nights = $73.33 per night.
I didn't care too much for the view from the window, it's just the freeway. A/C control was great and better than other hotels I've been too. Beds were comfy and sofa bed looked good. No fan/switch in bathroom which I thought was weird. Mini fridge and microwave were convenient. Free wifi but only up to 3 connections. We did have a few connection problems, but once connected, speed was great. My friend who booked the room did note asking for a rollaway bed but we never got it. To be fair, we never asked the staff, and just used the sofa bed.
Free lemoned water in the lobby. The lobby itself is spacious with comfortable seats and free desktop computers with printers for convenience. The pool is small and deepest it goes is 5 feet. Max occupancy for jacuzzi is 6. There's a small gym which has basic essentials you need for a workout. There's also a laundry room for coin operated washer and dryer ($1.75 and $1.50, respectively) which came in handy due to an unfortunate accident with my luggage. Also comes with free Kirkland detergent.
I had breakfast twice during our stay. A little pricey but the food was good. Staff was bombarded on Sunday morning (Wrestlemania weekend) and my friend waited over 30 mins for his food. I was fortunate enough to get my breakfast within 10 mins. There's also a bar adjacent to the breakfast/lunch counter, but I can't rate since I didn't have any drinks there. There was one night where I had brought a bottle to be opened and I didn't have a bottle opener (cork) and the bartender was nice enough to open it for me. When it comes to coffee, if you're picky like me, you're better off getting your drinks at the Starbucks at Target in the same lot because the drinks didn't taste as good here even if they use the Starbucks brand =/
Beds were comfy to sleep in. We had to call downstairs for a small service and they were at our door in minutes. Good service there.
We had to leave/checkout by 4:30 am and it was a little confusing because at the front desk, there was nobody there. A person who looked like a security guard told our group we just leave our keys in the room and that was it, no need to go to front desk when leaving.... usually when I check out, there's a formal process. So we did as he told and left.
Location: 5/5 everything you need is a walk away
Price: $73 a night is good/fair compared to other places 4/5
