Really nice quiet place. Pretty pool, super friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. We had a nice 2 night stay. Comfortable beds, clean big rooms.

Friendly staff and very accommodating .
They even put up with me and my friends jackassery!
Nor did not call the authorities on us.
The suite's are very spacious able to fit up to 8 party people, and then some. You can even fit a magnum of champagne in the fridge.
They will accomodate a late check out when your hungover ass just can't get out of bed.

Nice accomodations. The rooms were clean, spacious, and conveinent location. The beds are comfortable. The shower is awesome! Very friendly staff.

The pool is a bit shallow and the jacuzzi is really too hot.

Very quiet atomosphere.

Love me a Courtyard by Marriott. Even though this is right down the street from the airport, it is super quiet. I loved the set up of the place, our room was overlooking the courtyard with the pool. Clean room, nice crisp sheets and no weird "hotel smells" (mold, musty, etc). The staff was friendly. Close proximity to downtown and major freeways. Free and plentiful parking. Overall very pleased!!!

I stayed in a "standard" King room. The bed and pillows are not as comfy as the deluxe room. It was much too small for a weekender; my bf and I each had a carry-on bag/luggage. There was no floor space for the items so we shoved them in the armoir. The mini fridge is usually tucked inside the tv armoir, but at this location it wasn't there.

A coffee nook was next to the bathroom & sink with an empty cupboard. No hairdryer = uncomfortable sleep w/ air-dried hair. Thank goodness it had semi-hidden full length mirror (it's hung on the outside of the bathroom door, but I missed it several times!! Yes it's logically possible: the door was initially pushed back upon checking in and it's not seen when it's being closed to use the restroom.)

Lastly at time of check-in I had asked if the hotel needed my car's plate and description, they said "yes". So I went back out in the rain, only to find out it was a "yes, if you're parking and flying".

I stayed here because the SJ Marriott was booked enough to not honor our corporate rate.  It was a pleasant surprise!  I spent 11 nights here in a two room suite and it was like a second home.  The gym is very small, with just two treadmills, an elliptical, and some free weights, but in 11 days, I was the only one in there for 10 of them.  It is a little awkward having a window between the gym and the hot tub, but I am not sure who it is more awkward for, really.  The treadmills have cable TV, which was nice for passing the time while I ran/walked.

My next trip to SJ I will probably stay here, if the SJ Marriott is booked.  Note that if you have a west side room that faces west, it is going to be loud, between the highway and the airport.  Everywhere else is pretty quiet.  There are decent restaurants nearby as well as Japantown sushi bars only a couple of miles away.

Convenient hotel in the San Jose area by the airport and a 10 minute drive from San Jose State. The front desk was friendly upon the 4 am check-in.

The rooms are large, with a couch included that folds out. The space is clean, with full 3-star amenities. Small convenience corner offered basics and some medication.

Breakfast buffet totaled to a little for $14 including tip, which is just a continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, biscuits, and gravy. The food was a bit upsetting to the stomach for the rest of the day though.

The customer service at this place was very courteous and professional. Free magazines and newspapers upon request. Wired free internet in the rooms, WiFi in the lobby.

Priceline for $50.

Really not that wonderful...I went for an overnight stay to visit some family and spent a little over 90 per room, which is expected if you want to stay somewhere nice. The service however was not up to par with the expectation for the price.

The girl who checked us in didn't smile at all from the moment we walked in to the moment she pointed us to the elevator.
My dads room wasnt cleaned cery well before we got there, so much so that there was dust collected on the nightstand that was really noticable. Also, The AC broke in my dad's room and it filled the room up with a disgusting smell. We called the front desk and when they came up the pretended not to smell anything, even though everyone in our family was smacked in the face with the stench. They moved my dad to a new room either way.

The breakfast was actually pretty good,  the server/waiter however obviously hated his job. When he asked how many in our party we said 6 he then seated us at a table with 5 chairs and walked away..hmm, ok? The people next to us were ordering drinks and he walked away from them right in the middle of their order and shouted across the tables the remainder of order to confirm that he heard them. Rude much?

The rooms were nice though, beds were suuuper comfy and the bathroom was clean(in my room, not my dads)

Originally booked at the Double Tree and after driving there an hour away from home and working 12 hour days all week they inform us a pipe bursted in the afternoon and they sent us here! I was livid especially since we paid for a suite for our anniversary! But the staff here are great! Very helpful and the guy working the Bistro even stayed after he was supposed to close so we could have dinner. The bed isn't a king size but it sure is soft and comfortable! The room is clean and has a small private balcony. I'd rather come here than the Double Tree any day! Thank you to the staff for the awesome service :)

Stayed here on a freebie certificate.  Easy to find and very close to the airport for our early flight to Hawaii.

Clean comfortable rooms.  What you have learned to expect from Courtyard.

Check in was simple. Staff was friendly.  Drink prices at the bar/food counter were a little high for wine but it is a hotel.

I'd stay here again before leaving on a trip out to SJC

We used their airport parking service, left the car for 8 days while on vacation.
Quick shuttle, both ways, thanks to Sherry she picked us from the airport. Service with positive unpretentious attitude, and desire to help! The hotel looks nice too, we had coffee at their starbucks, they have booths with TVs. Kewl

paid $160 a night for a suite. The room wasn't that bad. Had two beds with what seemed a big hunk of foam for a mattress and two pull out sofas. The room was pretty spacious. We were able to fit 8 adults in the room with no problem when we had our meetings. everything for the most part seemed pretty clean.

Ah, Courtyard San Jose Airport. This is probably my one, and only, most favorite near airport hotel.

The rooms are large, clean, beds are comfortable, there is not one, but two extra pillows in the closet and the bedding is warm! What a departure from poor shabby blankets you usually end up getting at most places. The staff is nice, accommodating, and they have an amazing free coffee, tea and hot water selection (haha) in the lobby.

The air conditioning unit was a little whack, because it was consistently a little cold in the room, but other than that this place was pretty good. There are usually lots of business folks and meetings in the lobby, so it might feel a bit stiff but it totally transforms on weekends into a delicious breakfast spot with their breakfast in the lobby. It's not free, but it's pretty good for a hotel breakfast.

The pool is clean, and the sun actually shines in which again is a departure from most places that just look to fit a pool somewhere on the property without thinking about where exactly people might best enjoy it. Recommended, and parking is free!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. My friend and I booked it for a week. All their staff is very nice, including their housekeepers. The pool and hot tub were a nice touch for the price, but the pool could have been cleaned more often. The gym is very convenient but the close proximity to the hot tub means people get on the gym equipment while they're still wet.
The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge and the sink and mirror area were outside the bathroom but also had a lot of space. The hotel was only about 10 minutes from downtown which is where we had our business.

Really nicely renovated Courtyard from top to bottom. Lots of power outlets, good water pressure, comfortable bed. What more could people ask for? Well maybe one thing... A free bottle of water for Gold Marriott Rewards members might be nice.

A pretty standard Courtyard Marriott conveniently located right outside of the airport. It can be a tad noisy if you get a room overlooking Technology Drive which is what happened to me although I requested a courtyard facing room.

I stayed here on points because rooms in SJ are so expensive so I can't complain too much. The room didn't have a refrigerator which was sort of a bummer.

The boyfriend and I had breakfast in the lobby (oatmeal with fruit and coffee) and sat in a little booth with our own tv. Overall, this is a good hotel for travelers who need to catch early flights or need to be near the freeway without too much hassle from traffic.

Affordable, super clean, and very accessible from town. My wife and I were in town house hunting, and stayed here for 3 nights. It was quiet (even next to the airport) and right across the street from Sonoma Chicken, which was great.

This was the perfect "home base" of a hotel--no complaints at all.

'S OK.

My history with this place goes back a number of years - it's kinda the default hotel for trips out to Silly Valley among myself and co-workers. The next closest Marriott's over near the amusement park, and it's nearly always booked solid, and this place is super-convenient for getting the hell outta Dodge for an early-morning flight. It's literally less than 5 minutes from the hotel parking lot to the rental car return, less than 3 if you hit all the lights on Airport Dr.

Last stay, they were in the middle of a reno. Got one of the newly reconditioned rooms, and it was an average Courtyard king room. Missing the fridge, though, and that kinda sucked because I always pick up a six of bottled water in San Jose, since the stuff out of the tap kinda smells.

It's sufficiently clean, a little creaky around the edges (part of the reason they're renovating), but serviceable. Two things though: the motion sensor that controls the AC unit sucks, because I don't do laps around the room when I'm sleeping and shutting the climate control off in the middle of the night is really stupid, and seriously - no wifi?

so i'm a local and had to stay here while work was getting done on our place. i'm a little torn  though on 3 or a 4...so if i could give 3.5 i would.

ROOM: clean, bed was super comfy to me...i slept like a baby. there was no fridge so the drinks i brought from home were useless! :( the shampoos, etc were okay for paul mitchel.. sorry i'm a girl. .lol...had to comment. tv options were kinda weak, i ended up watching shows on my laptop instead.

WIFI: setup for a hotel wasn't the easiest and i deal with them a lot. ive had easier. you have to re-login after 24 hrs or pay...but if you have your code your fine. it's just a hassle to have to re-login into wifi...at least for me.

FOOD: so there is no continental breakfast. boo. the menu for the cafe wasn't bad..however i spend $8-9 for a "healthy" breakfast sandwich...um, so not cool! it was the healthy choice on the menu (see photos, included menu and photo of food).

CHECK OUT: so, the room was booked under a pref. member and they get the extended stay hours. as i was leaving i had to make two trips and was after the normal check out time...i got locked out!!! i was on the back end of the hotel, but luckily there were cleaners who let me in after i explained i wasn't try to sneak in. i think that was the most frustrating as the weather was a little wet and i would have had to walk all the way around if they weren't there. being locked out of the hotel and my room was insane and a hassle.

STAFF: upside, the staff was friendly.

I thought really hard about why this place shouldn't get maximum ratings... and nope! I couldn't think of any reasons. It was an awesome stay from check in til check out.

The lobby was clean with contemporary furniture with a bistro to the left. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and service was prompt. Parking was plentiful and close to the front door.

The room was clean and spacious with the TV on a shelf that pulled out for better viewing. And I slept SO well in their bed... that thing was heavenly! Room service left fresh toiletries each day which was a huge plus since I had forgotten some of mine.

Great location - conveniently close to pretty much anything you could want. It was also right off the main streets so it was nice and quiet.

And lastly, the room rates were very reasonable at $87/night! Such a bargain for such a pleasant stay! I will most definitely be returning for my future trips to the south bay.

We used Courtyard San Jose Airport (Marriott) for longterm parking when we flew out of town.  Their per-day rate was only $7.75 per day.

Reservations (through AirportParkingReservatio… made this super easy).

The folks at the hotel were warm, friendly, helpful, and accomodating even though we weren't staying there... just parking.

Easy check-in, the shuttle bus was ready to run us to the airport (1.2 miles away).  When we returned, we simply called them, and the shuttle bus picked us up within 10 minutes at the "Hotel" stand.   Parking is outside, but we felt it was very safe there... and it was.    Happily recommend!

I've stayed at other Courtyards across the US & this one is definitely my favorite one. It is very modern, crisp, and clean. Even though it was a hotel, and I knew I'm in a hotel, I didn't feel like I was in a hotel. It sincerely felt like I was at home. And that's a good feeling to have.

it's conveniently located to the airport, numerous office buildings, restaurants, and San Pedro Market.

The price is perfect, especially for a Marriott and what you get.

I guess when your company is paying for the room they think you are not worthy. so let me run down the list of things I recieved during my nights stay at this fine hotel...

1. The handicapped room.
2. A sink so low to the ground I thought it was a urinal.
3. 2, count em 2 peep holes in the door, I guess the lower one is to look at someones junk when they knock on your door.
4. every room on the even side is right next to the commuter train that goes by all night about every 15 minutes.
5. if you are lucky enough to be on the SE side you get to hear (every 4 minutes) the crosswalk alarm that sounds like a coo coo clock

AND AS AN ADDED BONUS.... Drum roll please... room 204 has a bullet hole in the window

one good thing about my room. being that the sink was so low to the ground, and I couldn't sleep due to all the outside noise, I did manage to get all my manscaping done. thanks.

This review is strictly regarding the airport parking service that is offered.

I recently flew out of SJC for the first time (I usually fly out of MRY or SFO) and needed a place to park my car. Having hopped around to some questionable SFO lots before settling on the one I like, it was a bit daunting to do research and hope that I would pick a good one. This was especially important to me as I would be returning after 11pm.

I was a bit put off at having to reserve and pre-pay (two things I don't like to do for parking) through AirportParkingReservatio… , but I went for it. And I'm so glad I did.

The parking process was incredibly simple. I checked in at the front desk and received a parking pass to place in my car. After a short wait, the shuttle took me to my terminal at the airport about 1 mile away. When I returned, I called the hotel to request pickup from the hotel shuttle stop, which came very promptly. No checkout inside the hotel was required and I was on my way home in no time.

In short: Great service, great price, and extremely safe.

This review is only for the Park and Fly parking that they offer.  I have used this service twice through AirportParkingReservatio… and both times it was very easy.  The parking rate was not the cheapest but the proximity to SJC made it slightly less stressful about getting to the airport on time and I was willing to pay the extra $1 or $2/day difference compared to a Park and Fly lot over on Fourth Street.

They are very close to the airport so this makes it very convenient and the shuttle ride short.  On our most recent trip we arrived around 6:40 a.m., parked the car and went inside to check-in.  They give you a parking "permit" that you put on your dash for the time your car is parked there.  They do not require you to leave your car keys which I believe one or two of the other park and fly places require.  The shuttle left promptly at 7:00 a.m. and we were at the airport within 5 minutes.  I think the shuttle leaves every half hour so time your arrival so you have enough time to check-in.

The spaces are all outdoors so you have to decide if you want to park under or near a tree or out in the open.  I had no problems finding a space both times at the end of a row so there would be no car parked next to me on one side.  We parked near a tree and luckily when we came back there were only a couple of bird droppings on the car.  No tree sap droppings that I noticed.  The spaces are average size and I didn't have to stress about getting a door ding (at least on one side).

On the trip back from the airport to the hotel, we had a great experience based on the great customer service that we received from Tanya. After getting our baggage, we called the Courtyard at about 8:50p.m.  Normally, they would send the shuttle and pick us up at stand #6 (at least for Hawaiian Air).

Tanya answered the phone and told us that the shuttle had just left to pick up other passengers and we would have to wait for the shuttle to return to the hotel, drop off and then come back out to pick us up.  This would have resulted in a potentially long wait.

She realized this was not optimal and quickly recommended that we take a cab to the Courtyard and she would pay for the cab ride.  We went to the Taxi stand and hopped into a cab and arrived at the Courtyard 5 minutes later.  Tanya was standing outside waiting for us and paid the cab driver immediately ($15).  Wow - That's what I call taking care of your customers.  She could have easily just told us to wait for the shuttle but instead went the extra mile to help me and my family get home a little sooner after a long flight.

I doubt any of the other Park and Fly lots would have done this and I wouldn't park here with an expectation of a comp'd cab ride back but after a long flight with lots of screaming babies (not mine), this really made my day.

Although I live too close to ever have to stay here, I would not hesitate to recommend their Park and Fly service.

We did airport parking at the Courtyard Marriott and couldn't have had a better experience. Randall took us to and from San Jose airport and it was like we were his personal guests. Hotel has a good location, close to the airport and there is a business center nearby (be forewarned: restaurants close extremely early). Inside hotel food can also be purchased, The rooms do not have microwaves or safes. Overall, disappointing for the cost of the room, but good enough.

As I was getting into bed, I noticed a small bug under the covers near my pillow. I was able to pop it between my fingernails. Even though I was exhausted from traveling and really needed to sleep, I called the from desk and they sent a man up to bring me the new room key and see the bug. He didn't seem to care there was a bug and actually picked it up and threw it onto a different part of the bed! The bug was small (1/16-1/8 of an inch) so, by throwing it, it likely remained in the room for the next guest. :(

Despite being switched to a new room, because of how freaked out I was, I wasn't able to sleep. I spent the evening watching TV, working out at tiny gym, and even requested an earlier airport shuttle since I couldn't sleep.

I should also mention, the front desk told me to email the picture of the bug, which I did, but nobody ever responded. Nobody cared. I posted a review on the Hotel site I booked it from and they replied. However, they still never got ahold of me. Yes they are concerned about their reputation, but they are not concerned with making their guests happy.

Oh, and like another reviewer mentioned, I also had a bad shuttle experience with them--forcing me to wait an additional 30 minutes.  :(

Straight to the meat of it....

CONS:
- My room was dirty. Walked in and the decor was nice, however there was a lint filled dirt smudge on the wall paper at eye level as soon as I walked in.
- The bathroom vent was disgusting. It would take two hand towels to wipe the dust and grime off.
- The toilet seat looked like it had been broken off the hinge and then (unsuccessfully) repaired.
- The Shower (grossest of all) still had a ring around the tub. So I'm wearing shower shoes.
- The bed frame..... Not the cleanest either.
- Gym has like 3 machines.... Total and was a bit difficult to locate.
-Elevators need new carpet as they smell almost moldy and make the ride very stuffy and gross)

PROS:
- Very nice and helpful staff
- Bed is super comfy.
- Room is spacious.
- Starbucks right in the lobby.
- Directly across the street from a pretty nice and affordable restaurant.
- Free parking!!!
- Close to freeway
- Did I mention Starbucks in the lobby?

If this were a personal trip I would have checked out.... But since it is for business.... Must tough it out. But I wouldn't stay here again. Gave a 3 star because the staff made up a star for its downfalls.

This is one of the better marriott brands in the area. The lobby is nice, and the rooms are pretty well up-kept, especially for an airport adjacent hotel.

The customer service has been fine, but I rarely see any employees, as I normally check in and never see any employees again. (I just rush to work every morning, and rush back to sleep every night)

My only thing holding this place back from 5 stars is that the single king bed rooms are very strangely laid out. I don't like sleeping with my back to the room entrance. It's just overly weird to me.

This is easily solved by getting the twin bed rooms, I find them more comfortably laid out, and I don't need a huge bed for myself.

One compliment to the rooms here, though, is that if you get a courtyard side room, you can get a balcony. I really like rooms where you can open a window/door, and dont treat you like a prisoner. Also, I have yet to encounter a bad shower head here yet, with ~10 rooms and counting. Great water pressure. :)

The food here is fine too. Not much in terms of gourmet, but it tastes good enough.

Update:
My newest find is the receptionist Sheena. She went out of her way to take my stay from good to great on more than one occasion. A total sweet heart.

GOOD:
Close to the San Jose airport (4min drive)
The BEDS are very comfy!
Free wi-fi
Free Coffee in the morning
Free parking
Free shuttle to/from SJC
Free boarding pass kiosk
Quiet
The Bistro in the lobby was hoppin!

BAD:
No rollaway beds available

We normally stay at HHonors (Hilton) hotels but this Courtyard was more convenient for us. We had such an excellent front desk staff and a great housekeeping team that I'm beginning to think we should become frequent Marriott Rewards members instead.

A quick overnight stay before a business trip to NYC. We literally stayed 5 hours in total as we got in late and checked out super early for a 6 am flight. Super convenient location close to the airport, excellent airport shuttle service and long term parking for your car.

Perfect! The lobby was clean, and relatively shut down the entire time we were there, you know the whole 5 hours we were there. I am sure that it is quite functional and looked like to a good place to hang out, should our stay have been longer. Will definitely continue to use this hotel for travel when needed in and out of San Jose airport.

FURIOUS!!! waiting over an hour for the courtesy shuttle. Called the hotel to find out WTH! Was put on hold for 9 minutes/ hung up called back and 10 mins later ( so far) still no bloody shuttle!!! They are 5 minutes away from the airport. This is ridiculous!!!

OK...I'm calm. Nice guy came to get me (finally) and made nice. Gave me free breakfast voucher and offered free snack from snack bar (guess he thinks chocolate will calm the savage beast.... He may be right)).

Chilling at their free happy hour, place seems good....

I'm giving the other guy that put me on hold for 10 minutes the evil eye....

This is one of my favorite Courtyards, and I have stayed at this location a decent amount as well as other Courtyards. I will disclose that I am a Marriott Gold member and a AAA member so i won't say I am a big deal but... ( yeah right, I just like to feel special :)

I am always greeted with an easy to find parking spot and a smile at the front desk. Usually the hubby and I stay here for an overnight in San Jose so we don't have to deal with getting back home till the am. Staff is fast, friendly and efficient.

There are tons of TVs on the lobby/food and drink area so you can catch the game and relax with a happy hour beverage. The quesadilla is surprisingly lovely if you need a pre-dinner appetizer.

The rooms are always clean and the balconies have a couple of chairs to use to enjoy the beautiful Bay Area weather.

They have a shuttle for the airport and are an easy walk from the M8trix casino as well as the Sonoma Chicken Coop which is a great place to dine. Weekend rates are so much better than downtown hotels- save some money and stay at a nice hotel with awesome customer service- you can always take a ride downtown and back to the hotel!

This review is in regard to Airport Parking booked through Airport Parking Connection.  I booked parking for a 4 days / 3 nights at the San Jose Airport Courtyard Marriott.

The overall service was over fine.   Prompt service on pickup and return and drivers were pleasant and polite.

The issue started when I returned to my vehicle after arriving back at SJC.  I started my Toyota Sequoia and I heard an extremely loud noise (like when starting a motorcycle) and my truck would not start.  I have heard of Toyota Sequoia's having issues of theft of the Cadalytic Converters - and was thinking this might be the case.

I go to the lobby to file a report and complaint.  They told me to call the 800 number for Marriott to file the complaint.  They did not offer any support ie asking if I need help, to call a cab, etc.

Luckily I did have AAA and was able to call a tow truck to have my vehicle towed.  Also I was able to call a friend to pick me up.  Also there were some guest that I met in the parking lot that also offered me any assistance.   I was able to get home safe eventually but it turned out to be a very long night.

I did call the 800 number today that was provided and it turns out the number is for Marriott Reservation Customer Care - nothing to do with parking.

Warning to be very careful and cautious when parking at this location or near SJC - I hear there are many incidents of Cadalytic Converter thefts at SJC and the immediate area.

Used for Airport Parking booked through Airport Parking Connection.
Service was great. Go to lobby and Pickup up a placard for airport parking. Place in windshield of car and then just park.  Ride to airport was quick no wait at all.

Pick up was great also.  Called and told them I was a shuttle stop 6 and Shuttle was there within 5 minutes.

Would use again.
