Came here for a Xmas Christmas dinner. Staff was friendly and the lobby and event room was nice. Not huge, but had a dance floor. Free parking, close to airport (of course), and 101.

I always loved this location and hotel. It's currently under construction but gal up front gave  us the newest room. She was very nice and super accommodating. Can't wait for all the new renovations to be finally done it's going to look classy.

    * free parking ( perfect )
    * free wifi ( perfect )
    * the bed ( could ) be more comfortable. Maybe I'm used to my fluffy bed @ home

Best night sleep in s long time! Our room was very clean and the bed was perfect! We paid $89 a night for this very nice hotel. Parking was free and the lobby was very nicely decorated. There's a pool that looks very nice, but it was raining and we didn't get to use it.
I definitely recommend this place! :-)

Great value. The room i got was exceptionally squeaky clean, not a spot in the bathroom. The front desk was very helpful. The location is reasonably quiet, only distant noise from the freeway and the airport if you really listen. Location is walking distance to affordable food joints (Subway/Chipotle). Free parking. Overall I think the value is great. I booked the room with Starpoints/SPG gold.

It's a good hotel to stay in with a good fee for this area, the staff are not that professional though but it's ok I guess. Clean and newly remodeled.
But remember to book online since you can find it for cheaper price.

I booked 4 nights here for a 5-day training for the convenience factor. The room was fine.

    The negatives:

My check-in experience wasn't so positive.  Although I booked a month ahead with a business credit card, the front desk person was resistant to honoring the charge of that booking. She informed me that I was supposed to fill out a specific form. What form? If this is the procedure, then it's the responsibility of the booking department to inform me at the time of the booking. When I offer to fill out the form, she proceeded to tell me that she will "make an exception this time".   Make an exception to what?...to the fact that one of their staff wasn't following their own procedures?

When I checked out on Sunday afternoon, I realized I had left my phone charger in the room. I left a message at lost and found the same day. No one called me back. I left another message 2 days later. Again, no one called back. I made a 3rd call and finally spoke to a live person, he informed me that there was no phone charger found! Are you kidding me? Lousy customer service.

The walls and windows are very thin and not so well sound proof. It took me a couple nights to adjust to the noise from outside and the guests along the hallway.

    The positives:

They offer free parking and wifi. I appreciate that.

All in all, I will not return if and when I am back for another training here. I would rather stay at another hotel and commute for any future training.

Bed bugs on Valentine's Day?  HORRIBLE!  I stayed at the Four Points on Valentine's Day after seeing a comedy show.  Nothing ruins a night like rolling over in bed to find a fully mature bed bug crawling on your girlfriends face, trying to kill her.  After calling the front desk who sent security up to take the bug away we decided to pack and leave before the bugs set up shop in our luggage. Being 3 am on Valentine's Day most hotels were sold out. The fifth one we called was the Marriott downtown and they took us in and charged us $300+ for the remainder of the night.
After doing research I've realized we now need to bag all our clothes up and wash them at a laundromat before we go home to reduce (no guarantees) the risk of infesting our house with these disgusting, disease ridden, parasites.
I sleep in hotels 20-30 days a year and this is the worst stay I have ever had.

Stayed her for one night after flying into town for a training session with GE. They have parking behind the hotel a few spots up front but whatever happened to valet? Hauling in two huge heavy bags on your own is no fun after a hectic day in airports. The customer service is excellent here. That's where all the stars are coming from.
The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the housekeepers leave you alone when you have the sign up :)
They offer room service but don't bother trying during their rush. I spent a a half hour trying to call, getting out on hold, and hung up on before I gave up and ordered Chinese delivery. Turns out the restaurant gets crazy busy so they just can't handle the room service calls. (Found out after speaking to a very sweet and helpful waiter at lunch)
Bottom line I would stay again, you get what you pay for... so on the The Valencia tonight!

Customer service at this hotel is terrible (coming from someone who worked in customer service for years). I was told my room would be ready by 3 pm. I arrived around 4 pm and after waiting for 15 minutes to be even acknowledged and helped, the girl at the front counter told me there were no double rooms available and wouldn't be for another hour. After explaining that I needed to get ready for an event I was attending that night, the girl told me I could get ready "in the bathroom in the lobby", with a smirk on her face. I will not be coming to this hotel, or any Four Points hotels again. I will say that the room was very clean and the cleaning service ladies were very nice.

Got a pre-paid reservation. Seemed like the best deal in town that wasn't some sketch looking motel/hotel. I paid $120 for a Sunday night, which seemed reasonable. I've stayed at Starwood properties before and know that they have their particular standards.

The service was pretty good at check-in, although it took a little while because there was only one person working there.

The room was very nice and actually fairly spacious. There was lots of storage and it just had that nice updated look to it which I can appreciate. It was also clean; no stains, no odors, etc. The bathroom looks updated, and had plenty of amenities, including a shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser.

Free parking, free bottled water and free WiFi were certainly pluses. The bar/grill downstairs was pretty good, albeit not cheap. The hotel isn't exactly close to downtown where all the restaurants and bars are, but there are still plenty of options around.

My one gripe is that the floor I was on had some construction going on. There was no notices by management or anything like that, and the noise really wasn't THAT bad, but I could understand if people close by would be upset by all the noise going on into the night.

All in all I'd recommend this hotel for travelers, families, etc. It's a good option just outside of Downtown San Jose.

Not my best experience at a hotel, and the only reason I ended up here was bc this was the cheapest option in San Jose due to whatever is going on in town (almost all hotel prices are jacked way up). $226 for the night after taxes, which is fine I guess since it's for work, but the place just isn't that spectacular.

Bathroom is tiny (see picture posted by someone already), and there are no outlets whatsoever on the work desk, or by the beds. I mean seriously, I found that extremely hard to fathom.

Add to that the meh location (although convenient to the airport) and I can assure you I won't be back here if I can help it.

My stay here at the Four Points was just okay. We stayed on a Saturday night and were given a room on the 5th floor, which is the SPG floor, so that was nice. Overall, some of the positives were:

    -Free parking
-Free wifi and the speed was decent (you don't need a code to log on, just accept the terms and you're good to go)
    -Coffee maker w/coffee & tea
    -Free bottled water

As for the negatives... the elevator was extremely slow and smelled like paint inside because of all the construction. Also, the customer service was not up to par with most of the Starwood properties.

The girl who helped us (not gonna mention names, but she has mid-length light brown hair) could have been a bit more friendly. I had asked for a copy or statement of ANY kind to see what was being charged to my room and held as a deposit (Usually you can check your account on the TV but there is no way to do that here), to which she told me that she was not able to give me any kind of document. She said that all she could do was show me the computer screen, which is kind of odd because can't you screen shot and print what's on the screen? Smh. The only other option according to her was to come back down at 3am, yes 3am, to get a copy of my charges. I know that if she tried, even just a little bit, she would have been able to accommodate my request in some kind of way.

At the end of the day, the Four Points serves it's purpose, just don't expect 5-star treatment from certain people at the front desk.

2nd time staying here and my favorite Starwood in the area! Free wifi, great service. The people who work here are amazing. I only give 4 stars because the hotel can be loud. You hear people in the hallways etc.

Pro- newly renovated and a pretty nice place. Great customer service!

Con- the place is hard to book for business trips recently as it is always sold out!

They didn't have my room as I requested and it was not ready when I arrived. (I was late for 20min.) instead of giving me something as treat they made me pay more for an extra room.

    BAD SERVICE!! I swear.

This was an awesome hotel! I had earned a free night with hotels.com and found myself needing an extra night in San Jose so I chose this hotel.

When I walked in it smelled good! Like a light perfume smell. The lobby was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a restaurant on site which is great because I was starving. It was a little pricey but I had the BEST seafood pasta I have ever eaten. The sauce was like a spicy tomato sauce and it made it even more amazing and the seafood was of high quality and very fresh so it was well worth the price. The parking was also free which I liked.

The room was great. The bed was beyond comfortable. I didn't want to leave. The room was very clean and everything was updated. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. I really liked that they had a shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser in the shower. The vanity area was spacious as well.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. Even though my stay was free I would be willing to pay to stay here. It was a beautiful hotel and it was very comfortable. I plan to stay again.
