Located next to an equipment rental business so they're backing heavy equipment earrrrrrly in the morning. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. I was on the first floor and the people upstairs kept running around all night. They leave out complimentary earplugs(Made in China, no thank you) preemptively. Figures. Typical cheap, franchisee run, low to middle budget hotel/motel. Can't believe it's part of the Hilton chain. Are all Hampton Inns this bad?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN SUCH JOKE OF A BUSINESS. We stayed here for one night in the one bedroom king bed suite. The rate was completive at $139 a night. After checking out we thought everything was okay. 4 days later we realized they had charged an extra $150 for a cleaning charge. The room was not messy to the point where they needed to charge such a drastic amount. When we went to the hotel to figure out the charges, one worker, Gustavo, was very unhelpful and rude. This place overall was very unwelcoming and unsatisfactory. They need to acquire better customer service skills or their business will surely decline. That was the last time I would ever stay in such joke of a hotel.

As I was checking out, front desk told me there were complaints of marijuana smoking?? They told me as I was checking out... funny, because apparently they didn't want to interrupt the supposed marijuana smoking?? The large windows (2) open up, this hotel was also listed on a "cigarette smoking allowed" website. Only rented out for a night, a 2 bed suite in the 2nd building. I bet it was that touristy family who snitched. Charged me $50 on top of the room charge. Uhmm... so they have a $50 marijuana smoking charge-WHATEVER. HEADS UP. 50 bucks ain't sh*t.

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Hampton Inn when I spent the weekend in San Jose.   It's very clean and the staff is really friendly.   And their continental breakfast is awesome!  I'm a sucker for free breakfast and by far this place tops all my other stays.  Scramble eggs, breakfast sausages, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, and all sorts of tea/coffee.  YUM!  Rooms are quite spacious and did I mention Directv too?  Woot! Woot!  Their bedding is really comfy, and that's a must for any traveler.  Will I stay here again... for sure!  Just don't know when  my next visit will be.  :)

Very upset that after booking several weeks ago and checking in around four thirty we were told we were bumped from a king bed to two queens by someone with a higher hilton honors level. Needless to say my wife and I felt like second class citizens and if this is Hilton's policy then I won't be staying at a hilton again.

Clean rooms + clean common areas + pretty good breakfast = I've been sleeping on you Hampton Inn!

I usually frequent boutique hotels b/c I'm fucking fabulous!  But this place had last minute vacancies so I booked.

Seriously everything was clean even though you can see slight signs of wear.  They offer complementary shower products and toothpaste to brush your grill.

They had an assortment of food for breakfast.  Bacon, eggs, muffins, bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt and fruit.  Free usa today news paper in the lobby area.

    I'm a fan... tru dat!

I was a little disappointed that the hotel was remodeling. Normally when I am at a hotel that is remodeling I am on a different floor. I was on the floor that was being done and it really smelled like paint.  My daughter had an appointment at 8:45 so we didn't plan on eating until we got back. We arrived back at 9:55 and most of the breakfast was already put away. The lady working the breakfast bar area was acting like she was put out by our request for milk for our cereal. Other than the smell of paint our room was comfortable and clean and the service was very good at the front desk.

I stayed there last weekend and would recommend that you book some where else.  The price does not justify the quality and service that is giving.  The hotel staff is grouchy and unhelpfully. The rooms are not cleaned properly and there was also a $150 charge on my card that was not refunded nor explained.  After calling and complaining it was still not resolved.  STAY AWAY

Lobby looks nice but rooms are generic and the hotel appears to be in a ghetto part of San Jose.   Backs up to a Rental Equipment company and is noisy.  Smelled pot in the middle of the night and can hear people walking around in their rooms above you.

Very clean. front desk folks super nice.. room was gigantic... I stay in hamptons frequently and really love the bedding, beds, their whole way of doing stuff is great.. generally they get 5 stars from me for the value and the experience...

This one gets 4 because of very poor sound insulation... we heard every gastric disturbance from our neighbors and a couple having what sounded like pretty routine sex sounded like a jackhammer... unfortunately for one of them, it was just a couple of minutes... but, it woke us up...  the good news, it provided adequate inspiration!

A nice hotel and well worth staying at in a slightly downtrodden neighborhood.

The epitome of Hilton standards.  The staff was perfect. super friendly and helpful
Not only that housekeeping goes above an beyond .  I asked for towels and in 2 seconds i had them delivered to my room.  They operate with walkie talkies so the service is wow service.  They also have happy hour  everything is free.  free beer free food.   I had authentic mexican tacos on tuesday and tamales on wednesday.   the food is awesome   , the young lady in charge of the breakfast is productive but clean more importantly.
check in was fast and pleasant

The example for other hilton properties!

Checked-in on 5-26-12 around 4:30 pm for a one night stay.  Staff was helpful and very informative about the property and surrounding neighborhood.

Since I had the kids, I opted to stay in their two bedroom suites.  We stayed in room #607 which is not in the main building, but across the parking lot on the third floor.

The room was nice.  It had two queen beds in the master room.  A nice LCD TV.  Good size closet and windows that actually opened for fresh air.  The sitting room boasted a small fridge, sink, microwave, a second TV and a twin sofa-sleeper.  The room also offered the same opening windows and lots of extra seats with plenty of room to host others.

I was the only one up and at them for breakfast the next morning, so I dined alone.  The kitchen is small and offered the usual sausage and eggs, coffee and juices and their signature "do it yourself" waffles.

Overall a nice place, but if I had to pick a complaint it would be their parking lot.  I thought it was too small for area around it.

The rooms, for the most part, were updated and clean.   Their facilities were tidy, spacious and quiet.  The staff were friendly and helpful when called upon.  They offer a breakfast with their rooms and the breakfast/break-room was keep stocked and the food was hot.  They had omelets, sausage, biscuit with gravy and good selection of other breakfast foods.  They also supply a morning newspaper and along with warm cookies at check in.
This was a great smaller hotel facility.

Had to get a room for me and a friend for a night. At midnight. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even at the late hour. The room was beautiful and clean, and had a lot of extra goodies. I will definitely come back to this hotel when I need a clean, cozy room!

Rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. At night, they had yummy cookies. Breakfast was not that good. I went to the Panera Bread that is right down the street instead. Location was good. Near a Target, Starbucks and many other chains that you may like. Close drive to downtown.  The area is a little sketchy but there is a really nice neighborhood near by. I felt safe.

Very impressed! Rooms are really comfortable. Super cozy bed w/all the necessities (even phone chargers & free wifi) the only complaint is you can't hear their T.V's. They have Direct TV but even on full blast, you can't hear anything on TV (muffled) other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

New hotel. Very nice. Clean. We had a master studio! Big. Good size fridge, microwave. Almost like a studio just kitchen table instead of living room area. But it's not in the nicest area. You can tell the city is trying to improve the area. We stayed one night. Attended a concert at shoreline. Used uber $35 one way.

Close to our event, extremely friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was great, coffee DELICIOUS, only bad thing was the small parking lot and the neighbor hood is a little sketchy but what neighborhood isn't in SJ?

Beware staying here as they will change your reservation to accommodate their precious hilton honors members.I went to great pains to get reservations with 2 queen size beds, which I did at this place. My son is 6 foot 4 and needs at least a queen size bed to get a comfortable nights sleep. I called the hotel a week before and made the reservation. I called the afternoon prior to our check in and explained that we would not be checking in until 11 o'clock that night and asked if there would be any problem, I was told that there was no problem with my dual queen sized reservation.

We arrived at 11 and were met by a woman who kept repeating that it was not her fault but they did not have our room. The best that they could do was 1 queen sized room and couch that converts to  a bed. That was unacceptable but we had no choice and they knew it. Not once did that lady  ever apologize. We had to take the room and my son had a terrible nights sleep which he complained about all weekend. The next morning I found out that they had given our 2 queen sized room to some honors club members that did not have enough rooms on their reservation. I happened to meet these honors members  at breakfast and they confirmed what occurred. The front desk clerk also told me this.

The general manager keep hemming and hawing and giving me a line about this but the truth is that this hotel will give your reservation away to an honors member if the situation arises.
Also in the room that we had, we found a carton of soup and old clothes from a previous guest as well as profanity written on the bathroom mirror which appeared when the bathroom steamed up. Great job on cleaning!

They did offer me discount but all we wanted was to be get what we had reserved

On my way here (from HWY 101) I watched a pimp oversee his girl while she solicited a potential customer waiting at the intersection; I saw an old biker-looking tweaker have a conversation (loudly) with a tree; I got stuck in horrible traffic caused by a car that caught fire and exploded on the street, and then pulled into the parking lot of this fine establishment. I am not embellishing...that was all within a couple of miles of this Hampton Inn.
The hotel itself isn't horrible... well yeah, actually it is. The rooms size isn't bad, but they are tired looking. There are mismatch light bulbs of every shade imaginable on the room, walls so thin I can her a normal phone conversation without straining, and the doors slam shut so hard that it feels like someone kicked me in the head every time the guy next door leaves.
The staff (girl at the desk when I checked in) was really friendly. I hate to rate only two starts when she was so good at her job. But this place is not my favorite. I like the heat lamp in the bathroom.... so - one start for the girl up front, and one star for the heat lamp.  It was the cheapest available tonight in the greater "Milpitas" area though, so I can't complain... (too much).

This is as good as a hotel you can get for the price, service, and amenities.  A+++

As a Diamond status member at Hilton, I got a complimentary room upgrade with no questions ask.  When I opened the door, I found out it was a large suite with full kitchen inside!  Not that I would use the kitchen at all, but the suite itself was very spacious, kept in great physical shape, and had a good heating system - given it's cold in the Bay Area this time of the year.

Diamond members also get reserved parking at the front, so that's nice +.

Free hot breakfast in the morning - one day it was sausage & eggs, the next day was potatoes & egg.  There's always a waffle machine in the mornings, so you can make yourself some fresh waffles using the batter mix they provide.

You get free water and drinks from the refrigerator to the left of the front check-in counter.  It also seems like the snacks and medicine there are also complimentary?

Rates are very affordable and I'll definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in the area on a business trip.

Did I also mention the coffee they serve 24 hours a day is pretty good too?
