As Hampton Inn's goes, this one is rather new with the better bedding and the recent upgrades that the company has made.  It has a nice lobby and good parking.
However, it is very noisy if you stay on the side of the building that has a trucking company as a neighbor.  The start making noise at 8am.  It is some kind of quarry yard with a bunch of 18 wheelers scurrying around and is quite annoying. If you stay there, ask to stay in building B and I think you will be alright.
They advertise this as an airport hotel, however , it is 6 miles south of the airport in a not-so-nice neighborhood and it is right next to the fairgrounds.  It would have been really hard to find if I did not have GPS in my rental car.  I just wasn't very comfortable there.

This Hampton in is one of the better ones I've been to.  Room was huge!  Location has potential as they're building up the shopping center on the northwest corner of 1st and Tully.  I like this spot becausr of its proximity to downtown San Jose and it being on a mile or so away from the vietnamese shopping centers on Tully and King.

Stayed here last week during a tech convention when they were bumping people left and right due to overbooking. They took care of everyone in my party and were super helpful and friendly. Had a great experience! Happy once again with the free internet and free breakfast. Overall...very happy!

We only stayed here for one night. It did the job, but it was not worth the price.

The good was the service. The front desk was very helpful. The free wireless was a huge plus and the free and easy printing in the lobby was also awesome.

But...for being such a new hotel, it seems to be very poorly constructed. The floors creak everywhere on the second floor. Termites?

Oh, and the breakfast was horrendous. Paper plates and plastic utensils? Seriously? We paid the same price as we paid at the Embassy Suites in Santa Clara and the Homewood Suites in Santa Clara and expected a lot better out of breakfast. The omelette looked disgusting and the waffle maker undercooked all of the waffles we made so they were so doughy. The eating area reminded us of a hospital cafeteria. We ended up leaving and going to McDonald's for breakfast.

Really, for the price we paid, it was the breakfast that will  prevent us from staying there again. We will stay somewhere with a decent breakfast for the exact same price.

So we stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights, 12/7/13-/12/10/13 & my expectation wasn't really high for this place until we actually checked in and experienced it for ourselves, the Service and the Breakfast was pretty good, The rooms are pretty big, We got 2 Queen Beds. And It was amazing. Housekeeping changed our sheets and towels everyday. We enjoyed it very much! We needed extra blankets and and they sent it to us in less than 10 mins. Oh the Wifi is included and it's fast as well! I highly recommend this place when you visit the San Jose Area. We will definitely come back again!

This is the third time I've stayed here.   Front desk is always very friendly.   Rooms are bigger than normal for hampton inns.   This is the first time I've used the fitness center which motivated me to write the review.   Usually fitness centers at Hampton inns are cheap and small.   This place had new equipment of high quality.   It was also bigger than expected with 3 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes and 2 elliptical.   They also have a room for weights, nothing big but for me who does basic weights I was happy.   The rooms are always clean.  If it were closer to my office I'd stay here all the time, right now it is my fall back when other hotels are full or uber expensive.

Close to our event, extremely friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was great, coffee DELICIOUS, only bad thing was the small parking lot and the neighbor hood is a little sketchy but what neighborhood isn't in SJ?

Clean and comfortable. Not a great neighborhood. Very nice, helpful staff. Breakfast pretty good. Happy hour very good, but only Monday through Thursday. At $200 a night on weeknights, not cheap.

Girlfriends and I were able to find a pretty good deal for this place. We ended up paying around $120 for a Friday night.

The room was bigger than expected. Spacious restroom with ample number of towels. Everything seemed clean enough. My only complaint is that it was very cold that night, but when we tried to turn up the heater a little bit a burning smell started to waft around the room and we ended up turning the heater off completely just in case. The area surrounding the hotel is not the greatest either.

I've stayed here on business a few nights a year and can attest that it's a very nice hotel with friendly staff.  The rooms are clean and larger than average hotel rooms. The windows open completely, which is a welcome from hermetically sealed hotels. Breakfast is OK to good, and a good way to start the day.  The managers reception happy hour (5:30 to 7:30) offers beer and wine as well as hor d'overs...in fact there is enough food that you can make a light dinner out of it.  The woman working the happy hour is exceedingly friendly and generous on her pours...so make sure you tip her.  Overall, I'll stay here again and recommend it for business folks in the San Jose area.
