Good rooms, clean, friendly staff, etc. But the never-stopping music at the pool kept us from sleeping well. Breakfast is so-so, maybe a tad better than in other similar priced hotel chains.

nice hotel for how reasonably priced it is. the 2 bedroom suite is great and includes a full sizes fridge and freezer, a range and a microwave. the internet is free and very fast. I guess being in Silicon Valley that should be expected. the location is nice with great freeway access. there are many restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely come back.

Modern, clean and simple hotel.  Free breakfast buffet was better than expected.  Very quiet at night.  Staff was very friendly and check-in was quick!  There are stores and restaurants within walking distance.  This hotel is a bit of a drive away from downtown San Jose but it is well worth it.  I would highly consider staying here again when visiting the San Jose/Bay Area.

I've made the Hyatt Brand my home away from home. This location is perfect for the weary traveler. The only real weak point is the free breakfast, but that is only because everything else from the Service to the rooms is absolutely stellar.

Pretty cool hotel, nice and clean because its only about 2 years old. Staff was nice, parking is ample and free in their garage...lots of places to eat nearby and close to freeways. Hot complimentary breakfast was mediocre but overall  great experience!

Very modern but comfy new hotel concept in the Hyatt family! I had reserved the small suite for an amazing ($115 a NIGHT!). Hotel staff was very friendly and when I arrived they were having Happy Hour in the bar--woo-hoo!

My suite is very roomy with a very modern color pallet (brown, apple green). It has a full-sized couch, chair, padded bench, footrest/coffee table, small kitchen (with a stove, frig, sink, pantry and dishwasher!), a desk with FREE wifi, 2 BIG LG flat screens and a beautiful bedroom suite with a big closet and HUGE walk-in shower! It's PERFECT for the business traveler in San Jose!!

The location is nice, too, as it has a great market and several current restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Target.

The pool is in the middle of the property and the lobby bar, filled with fresh plants and floral (including my favorite -- Bells of Ireland) has ample indoor and outdoor seating and overlooks the bar.

I have two complaints about this hotel: I have stayed at this hotel now 3 times in 4 months and the rooms have a funky odor when you walk into them. I discussed this with the management and they are working to change the carpet deodorizer they use. The second is that if you don't have a car your food dining choices are very limited, but the hotel restaurant (open for breakfast and dinner only) is good.

Finally, as a bonus, the hotel offers FREE service from the San Jose Airport, which saves you about $35-40/trip in a cab.

Acessible to the 237 freeway, and nearby a slew of restaurants opening up in the plaza. Good bar, and good happy hour menus too. Reasonable rates! If you're a Brocade employee you may be eligible for a discounted rate too.  What's not to like?

I stayed here while in town for work.  The complimentary shuttle service was great and the proximity to a grocery store and other restaurants was really nice. Definitely a benefit if you are in town for an extended period.

The hotel staff are professional, courteous and ever helpful.  The room was neat and clean with fresh modern decor.  The hotel has its own bar/restaurant as well.  The bar has a happy hour every evening which is quite popular.  If you're by yourself and looking to mingle, its the place to be.  The complimentary breakfast is probably the best I've had at a hotel.  They have tons of options, omelets, eggs, bacon and sausage and a variety of fruit, pastries as well as yogurt and cereal - and of course coffee and juice.  Lots to choose from - they've got you covered.

I think my only complaint is that the hotel was super busy (a good problem to have if you are a hotel) so there were tons of people (and lots of kids) at breakfast every morning.  I don't know about you, but at breakfast I'm looking for a quiet, relaxed experience to sip my coffee and wake up.  It was a little daunting to have a crowded noisy room but I think it probably had something to do with the fact that I was there in the middle of summer break.

Other than that, I had a pleasant stay and will likely return when I'm in town again.

Best bang for your buck in Silicon Valley!

I stay in a lot of hotels due to my boyfriends job and this by far is such a hidden gem. The rooms and hotel itself are extremely clean and modern, a definite must-have on my list since I am a huge germaphobe!

We stayed in the single King room which we found to be very accommodating. It's spacious, comes with a fridge and for all you girls out there.. it has very bright lights in the bathroom- always a plus in my book!

The only drawback I had was the oddly high sink and poorly placed faucet. Yes I stand 5 feet short but come on Hyatt, I had to stand uncomfortably on my tippy toes just to wash my face, not to mention all the overflowing water that flows from the faucet being so close to  the edge of the sink. I can't even wash my hands without getting water everywhere.

Annoyances put aside, I love this place! Admittedly location could be better but the quality and amenities make up for that. It comes with a fabulous B-Fest buffet with a plethora of options, a very chic pool and a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 5 miles (upon availability of course). I will absolutely will be coming here every time I stay in the area!

I stay here every time I'm visiting the area. Hands down one of the best hotels I've stayed at in any rural area. I travel a lot for work, and by far this has been the best establishment I've stayed at. If you're looking for a place to stay without the pricey SJ hotel prices, then this is definitely your destination.

We alway get amazing service from Alicia, Marge, Vanessa and Alex.  They make sure we get great drinks and tasty food with beautiful smiles. I am not big on their new uniforms ;) and glad they seem to have gone back to the old ones..but in no way does it impact the colorful attitudes that make coming here a great place.

This review is for the Hotel Happy Hour:

The bar staff is really friendly and attentive enough to check on you for drinks and food, but not to intrude on your conversations. The prices are great for happy hour and given the options for local employees to visit a happy hour...this place nails it! They have free WiFi, three nice TVs, a pool table, outdoor patio seating, plenty of seating indoors, decent nachos and wings to snack on, and numerous drink choices.

My only complaint is that they do not open the bar until 5pm...sometimes people want to get a drink at 4:30pm...

This premise looks fairly new to me and caters toward business travelers and some family in the summer.

We checked in on a Friday afternoon and was assigned a beautiful suite on the 6th floor. It's right off 237 and is adjacent to a new (some venues still under construction) strip mall with more food options like Chick Fil-A, Five Guys Burgers, and Mexican grill.

Pro:
Friendly staff at front desk and lounge.
Huge, new room with contemporary design. It's suite with full kitchen and a sitting room.
Two 42" LCD TVs, one in the sitting room and the other in bedroom.
An office with free wifi.
Generous supply of hand/body lotion, shower gel, and conditioning shampoo--all in big squirt bottles.
Spacious shower place that fits two people.

Con:
Slow service at the bar.
The pool is nice but a bit small.

It's a good place to stay if you happen to be in the area.

Awesome value! Spending the night here for a wedding reception and don't know much about this South Bay hotel, but I actually really like it!

It's conveniently located near the highway and near plenty of food options. The front desk rocks and the hotel itself appears new and clean. The rooms are comfortable, hip, and up-to-date. I like the subtle artwork and fixtures. They have a heated pool, cute fire pit area, and most importantly a great happy hour at the H Bar downstairs!

And did I mention that the value is great!

This place far exceeded my expectations! Modern & new, it is clean, comfortable, spacious, quite, and had all the amenities. Super friendly staff, business office, wifi, pool, bar, pool table, secure parking (at no extra cost), fantastic breakfast, and very reasonable pricing! Great value for the dollar.

If you are in the are, this is a must stay. I will definitely be back.

Thanks for the exceptional experience.

Sometimes when I review hotels, I rate them solely on their bar service.  For some reason it's a pretty good indication of how the hotel is run.   The bar had some decent whiskey, 18 year Macallen. So the selection of spirits was good. Even their rum selection had some tasty sugarcane rum.   The problem was with the young, immature staff at the bar serving overpriced adult beverages and having no clue what they were doing. I wonder how hard it must be to go out and find decent servers when you're charging top tier prices. It's because of this disappointment I rated my hotel as two stars.

Stayed here for one night on the way to San Francisco....very glad I did....the place hs so many great things going for them

Great ambiance and little touches that makes this feels more like a 5-star hotel than a boutique hotel

A few things I like:
- Free parking inside the structure behind the hotel, in and out is easy using your room key for entrance (much better than paying $50 for a downtown SF hotel)
- Great selection hot breakfast complete with omelettes station
- Super clean room, bathroom, and public areas too
- Gilchrist & Soames amenities (including hand lotion) in the public restroom
- Lemon or berries freshened ice water near lobby
- very comfortable king size bed
- microwave and fridge in the room
- free wi-fi

The location is very convenient, with many restaurants and coffee shop within walking distance, there is also a Fresh & Easy market just next door

Very close to freeway but it has an urban feel like a downtown area where you can step outside and walk to the neighborhood stores and restaurants

Will definitely stay here again next time in the area

Great job, Hyatt House...(this is the 2nd experience staying at a Hyatt House after the one in Miami which is another great property)

This is a nice-ish business-class hotel--but our stay was a not as hoped.  Room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable.  Continental breakfast was more than sufficient.  Unfortunately our room was located opposite a locked double-door room that contained something that, every five minutes or so, made a lot of loud clicking noises that kept us up, on and off, throughout the night.  Additionally, after having checked in at 11:00 p.m. and getting to sleep around 1:00 a.m., staff started cleaning the room next to us at somewhere between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.  The only reason we stayed here was to get a good night's sleep at a reasonable price--we got a reasonable price, but our sleep was not good.

I would've given this location 4 stars if it wasn't for our airconditioning system not being adequate enough to cool the room.

This location however is lovely -- modern and clean, it still has that "new building" scent...not the scent of paint or plaster, but just the nice, clean feeling. Beds are comfortable and lots of space. Our room was missing a safe (this amenity is important to me).

I love the free breakfast in the morning that is anything but continental. Made-to-order omelets, fresh juice, and breakfast buffet? I was there every morning. They have a great pool area with fire pits and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the bay area weather.

Would come again.

I've been a long time user of the Hyatt Hotel's and really love the level of customer service they provide. This particular Hyatt House was no different. The staff was extremely friendly and informative and check-in was quick and painless. In my opinion, the staff alone deserves a 5* rating.

The hotel rooms were very modern and exceptionally clean. The room, while on the smaller side, had a very nice bathroom with a large stand in shower  with glass doors. By far my favorite feature. The down side is parking is a bitch most of the day because of location and you need a key to activate the elevator so if you forget your key, you're fucked.

I have not personally stayed here, however I have booked many reservations for my employees to stay here when traveling to San Jose.

Apparently the last visit, my employee was notified our corporate rate was no longer honored.  I really would have preferred they told me that over the phone, at the time I made the reservation and gave them the corporate rate code.  She was offered a Great America discount instead... which has no value to someone there for two days during the week on business.

I know my employees have liked the location, and said it was a nice hotel - but with my experiences they do not have great customer service, at least in reservations.

Also, the automated system is infuriating.  If there is any background noise AT ALL, it will say it cannot hear you, then after two times of saying that, it will say goodbye and disconnect you.  I was waiting for it to search my dates, and it heard someone across the office talking and ended up ending my call.  Really?  If you say "I wish to speak to a human" it will transfer you to a live person.  Such a waste of time.

Wow, I didn't even know about this place until recently. It's not far from SJC, just off the 237 freeway. If you don't have transportation, there's a small shopping center that's adjacent to it, so you can grab food here or buy items to cook (if you have a suite) at Fresh & Easy next door. If you have transportation, then you'll be free to go (Milpitas is not far to the east for good Asian food). Anyway, given the location, I'm sure a lot of business people stay here since it's close to the Cisco campus.

The front desk ladies were really nice when we were here. They have a free shuttle to SJC, you just have to sign up with them. There's also a free breakfast in the morning! The rooms are clean and modern.

Loved staying at the Hyatt House!

This had to have been THE most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I seriously had some great dreams because of this bed. I felt like I was sleeping on a bed of marshmellows! VERY comfortable!

The view we had wasn't the greatest, but HEY! I wasn't there for the views!! I loved that they had super thick curtains that blocked out the sunlight (I AM part vampire...).

We had super easy access to all the necessities. I was within walking distance of CVS, Target, Fresh n Easy, and ton of eateries! This was very useful. Also right off the freeway. That was a major plus. Parking was awesome, first floor of covered parking and free.

Hotel staff was excellent, very polite and accommadating. I needed a comforter for my son and I had forgotten to call until about 11 pm. They had the comforter up to our room in 5 minutes! Awesome.

Every time I exited the elevator, an amazing smell hit  me. The first time I smelled it, I thought it was another guests perfume and I was about to chase her down and ask her what she was wearing. Turns out it was the hotel!

Breakfast was ok, similar to the fare available at most hotels. I felt very secure knowing the hotel card was needed to operate the elevator, especially since happy hour occurs here nightly in the lobby.

Loved the kitchen in our suite! Full sized fridge, dish washer, sink, plates and utensils. Perfect for eating in at night!

Hyatt House isn't some huge overwhelming hotel and I loved that. Lives up to it's name, Hyatt House made me feel at home!

The dishes were placed in the dishwasher by housekeeping without being rinsed first. The result? strips and chunks of bacon on the "clean" dishes. Lovely. Today, neither the dish soap nor the kitchen towels were replaced, but I can live with that. This evening, I discovered that we were out of toilet paper at a most inopportune moment! Surely there was an extra roll placed on the back of the toilet for such moments? No such luck. Well then certainly, those tissues that are always conveniently placed in the bathroom would suffice. No, those were empty and never replaced today either. At $300/night, I shouldn't have to re-wash my own dishes adn I certainly shouldn't be without *very necessary* paper products.

The only plus is that the "House Host", answered immediately and sent someone up right away.

This review is for the H Bar, the bar in the Hyatt House. Basically it's the go to bar for Happy Hour in this area. The food is decent, but the alcohol specials are where they shine. Staff is friendly; shout out to Marge and Vanessa! The only cons are the uniforms they must endure wearing; see photos. They use to be black uniforms which looked more sleek and professional. Now they blend too much with the walls. It's like talking to a rotten avocado. LOL!

this location is oddly (or conveniently?) placed in the middle of a strip mall with a coffee bean, cvs, chickfila and target, among other stores.  it's an easy exit off of the 237.  we got a nice quiet corner room, with a nice comfy bed, and staff were friendly.  convenient covered secure parking. i have to dock a star for the following reasons:

1.  standard hyatt house breakfast, but refills and cleanup are a little spotty.  this may be unavoidable, but folks were coughing and handling the buffet utensils.  maybe find alternate serveware/set up to prevent any germs from spreading?
2.  the room had some damage to the kitchenette furniture that wasn't fixed.  was a little offputting in an otherwise nice room.
3.  i was only provided one bottle of water, despite having platinum status.  as i typically travel with at least one other person, this seemed a tad stingy.

otherwise i highly recommend this property and find it to be one of the better hyatt houses that i have stayed at.

This Hyatt is a beautiful hotel but the services are not that great.

At check in there were 3 front desk workers.  One asked for our name and while she was trying to find our key, another asked us again with out having eye contact that they were helping us. I felt like my welcoming was a waste of their time.  It does not take 2 ppl to check in one person (especially when it is not busy) and that extra person was not training and was not the manager or anything.

At breakfast, it is common sense to clean tables right away so others can have a table to dine on. I was very surprised at the number of tables available that were not cleaned for others to use. I had no patience to wait so I cleaned off a table for my husband and me.  The food wasn't the best.  The ham and sausage was very dry, and the buffet area was not kept clean.  It kinda seemed like they only clean in the beginning and end only.  A little wiping down does not hurt and does not take much time.

Again, this hotel was very pretty with simple, modern style. Rooms were clean, parking was free at their garage.  The location was great, near freeway, walking distance to target, and many other restaurants.  But they need to work on public presentation and service for the front desk and at breakfast.

*Oh yah! Front desk says you only get military rate IF you have orders.  Wtf?

Love this hotel, everyone at the front desk was so nice and accomodating. We booked a few rooms a couple months ago and over of the rooms smelled really bad so they upgraded the one room to a two bedroom suite! How sweet right! They also have fresh cooked omlets for breakfast to but I'd you don't come down and put your order in early it will be a long wait other than that they have a full complimentary breakfast so good...  I will definitely stay here again if I travel here again

I think this is a great place to stay in the Silicon Valley.
Good check-in experience, even-though we arrived late. The free WiFi was of good quality, room was clean but a bit small. The hotel itself was nice and modern.
Complimentary breakfast was very good but ended at 10 although they didn't do anything to push you out after that.
Small swimming pool but I'm not sure anyone uses it anyway.
The Hotel's free self parking is at first a bit hard to find, especially when you arrive late at night, but you can park easily in front of the hotel and ask your way when checked in.
Overall a very good experience, this hotel was around the same price as others in same category (Sheraton) but had complimentary WiFi and Breakfast which made the decision easy. And we didn't regret it.

Got to the hotel around 4:50 pm on Friday and there was no line for check in. Check in was easy enough. There is a convenient parking garage behind the hotel and part of it is for hotel guests only. It was very easy to find a parking place.

The room was clean, but it was a little too warm upon first entering. I am all for conserving energy, but the room really needed be a little cooler to be more welcoming. After cracking a window, the room was more suitable.

The room was definitely good for the price and the location felt safe. The hotel is right in the middle of a shopping complex so there are a lot of conveniences within walking distance. I have stayed in the Hyatt house studio rooms before, but this location had smaller rooms that are your traditional one room containing a bed and a chair. Since we are only here one night, we opted for this cheaper option. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. Since we were only here for one night we did not get a chance to use the pool, it looked nice though.

The walls were a little thin. I woke up twice after midnight because I could hear people walking down the hall, talking.

Breakfast was free, but I feel like they tried to make it terrible on purpose. If that's not the case, then they just know where to buy flavorless food and cook it completely wrong. Pancakes were hard, texture of cardboard. Scrambled eggs were overcooked yet watery. How did they manage that?? Even the bacon was awful. It was like plastic with no flavor. It was so pathetic hence my assumption it was intentional. I wish everyone could try their breakfast because it was so hilariously terrible. In short, I'd skip their breakfast.

Wifi is free, but not the strongest of signals.

Little FYI they do have HBO in the rooms so if you are going to be here on a Sunday during Game of Thrones, you don't have to miss an episode!

First of all, breakfast ends at 9:30 am Monday through Friday and 10 am on weekends.  Like another reviewer stated, once you have your food, they do not rush you out.  The workers in general don't seem enthusiastic but maybe because it's Christmas now and they are working.

They had really really great wine downstairs ($32 a bottle) but SOOO good.

Pool table, lounge area, bar and swimming pool.

I stayed here during Wrestlemania weekend. I was surprised I was able to get a room in rather close proximity to Levi's Stadium. First, the location is great. Highway 237 is easily accessible and CVS and Target aren't too far away if you need to pick up some provisions.

My room was clean, small and nicely appointed. The bed was soft and somehow managed to remind of my own bed back home. You get free Wi-Fi, which is awesome. Overall, the facilities are neat and orderly. Part of that might be a function of how new the establishment is, but I was still impressed. I didn't get to partake in any meals or have drinks at the bar, but I'll check it out next time I'm down in the South Bay.

The only knock would be parking. The parking garage is small and not intuitively accessible. I had to drive around a bit to find it and even then I couldn't get a spot. You can park in the shopping center parking, but only after 8:30 p.m. till 9:30 a.m.
