Review of general customer service- we did not stay here but were very lost in the area and needed directions - staff were wonderful!  If this is how they treat people who are not even guests, I'm sure they are treating their guests wonderfully.  Thanks La Quinta!

From the outside you wouldn't think this is a nice la Quinta but when you walk in your room you're pleasantly surprised! Loved the k kup coffee machine and the toiletries smell good and don't leave your skin extra dry! We'll definitely be staying here again!

Stayed here for business and I honestly did not want to leave. The hotel has very recently been remodeled and I give them MAJOR kudos! Congrats to management for making a very smart decision to renovate - it really does look lovely!

The room is so modern and chic and there is a Keurig coffee maker - coffee was quite delicious and ready in about 1 minute. I made 2 cups it was so good!

Bed is extremely comfy. Also, they had a full complimentary breakfast (comp wifi too). If you're in the area and need a room, stop by here, I promise you won't be disappointed.

And to the person who gave this location a 1 star rating because your remote control wasn't working, how about you get your arse up and change the channel manually?! What a silly excuse for a bad rating. Nonsense.

What a beautiful and clean room! The desk staff were a bit preoccupied/cold when we checked in but aside from that, it was fine.  
My mother is 66 and I am 37 years old. Pleasing us both is often a rare thing. The room was a welcome respite after driving from Pennsylvania.  It was our first time at a LaQuinta and it was above our expectations.  I personally loved the modernity of the design and the readily accessible Internet service. We were delighted to get the room for $89.99 (AAA price online) as it was well within our price range. We did hear the planes a bit in the morning but it would not have kept us awake if we had heard it at night.  
On the day of our departure it was nice for the front desk person to post my postcard. A small task but greatly appreciated.  One suggestion would be to get a mail drop box for postcards, letters, and such. I also thought the "Greetings from California" postcards were cute even if they are blatant advertisements for the chain.
We happily told the friends who live in town all about the room and advised them to recommend it to any others that come into town.

We have been Elite Members for years and use La quinta for all of our work crews throughout Florida and the Southeast. We chose this location on a recent trip to San Jose and are now searching competitors for a new company to do business with. All over some clothing that we left behind and asked to be mailed AT OUR EXPENSE! They found our missing items after our checkout, but did not call. We realized what was missing the day after we arrived home, called, gave our credit card info to cover shipping expenses and was told our items would ship that day via 2-day USPS Priority Mail. 4 days later, no package. We called the Manager for tracking number but a guy named Donovan refused to let us speak to him and told us the items had shipped and to be patient. 6 days later, no package, Donovan said package had been lost in transit and they didn't have a tracking number!!!! Day 7 we called their Corporate Office and made a formal complaint. Within 2 hours we were told that Donovan had been lying and the items still had not shipped. Within another hour of calling the main office, we had a tracking number. Curious to see what actually made it into the box and the condition when it arrives tomorrow. We hope Donovan enjoyed my dresses and panties for the last 7 days while he was lying about shipping them. Life is too short to stay at hotels with DISGRACEFUL SERVICE!!!!

I visited this hotel as some friends from out of town were staying here.  We stopped in at the bar, and had a great time - thanks to Tom the bartender.  I agree with the previous postings that Tom really makes the bar come to life.  He has a great personality and was lots of fun, though not to the point of being intrusive.  Thanks Tom for a fun night there.

I stayed at this hotel over a year ago and it was awful. A low 2 star kind of place. I recently went back and was amazed, it is under new management who know what they're doing. The rooms have all been updated, new paint, new beds, new everything. Flat screens, mini fridge and kurig in the room!  I occasionally heard low rumbles of planes but nothing to keep me up. Showers were gorgeous glass with out a stupid tub. I highly recommend this place and will be back when I had to fly

Stayed last year and going again this year. Fast friendly service for a reasonable price. All you can eat breakfast that is actually good to taste! The rooms are clean and checking in and out was easy.

Stayed overnight on 3/15 while in town for my cousin's birthday party. Based on my personal pros & cons I think this is a fair rating, so here goes:
Pros:
*Price - this is northern Cali, which isn't exactly inexpensive, so I thought $95 (AAA rate) for a room with 2 queen beds was fair.
*Free wifi & free parking - I wanted to stay closer to downtown SJ, but all of the places I checked in that area charged for parking, and some even charged for wifi. This location was about 4 miles away, which wasn't a problem since I had my car.
*Keurig in the room - my sister and I both own Keurigs and love them, so it was nice to have one in the room. Unfortunately, we didn't use it (explanation in the Cons section).
*Free breakfast - it was nice to walk downstairs for a free breakfast before checking out and hitting the road. Limited selection but decent. Eggs, sausage, coffee & juice, cereal, waffles, bagels, toast, biscuits and gravy. Kept running out of eggs & juice. Some pastries would have been a nice addition. There was also some fresh fruit. I remember seeing bananas.
*Security - the property includes several buildings. Room key card is required to access all entries except the lobby.
*The room - recently remodeled. Small, but clean.

Cons:
*Coffee - coffee is all over this establishment! In the rooms via the Keurigs, in the lobby, and in the breakfast room. I LOVE coffee and was quite excited by this until I discovered that the only coffee options offered were light roast and decaf medium roast. I like my coffee dark & caffeinated. I'll happily drink a medium roast if it has caffeine. Light roast just doesn't cut it for me, so the coffee situation alone loses a star.
*Breakfast facilities - the food is located in a small room off the lobby, and the seating for breakfast is basically the bar/lounge area. The only problem with this is that both areas are very small, too small for the size of the overall facility. While there were plenty of trashcans around, we were not clear on what to do with our used breakfast dishes & trays, as there was no dedicated location for them. Because of this (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here, cause I know some people are just nasty & will leave their dirty dishes any & everywhere regardless), within a few minutes there were dirty dishes & trays left on the bar. Gross. My sister & I eventually noticed a mobile tray that had several bins for dirty dishes. Because of the setup, this was very easy to miss. Another star deducted.

Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me, so I would stay here again if I could get a similar (or better) rate. And I'll have to be prepared to buy some decent coffee elsewhere.

We recently used their park and fly program and it was a great value.  We found the accommodations to be very nice.  We had an early morning flight and arranged for their shuttle to the San Jose Airport.  We were surprised that at checkout, they provided us with snacks for the plane since we were too early for their breakfast.  It was a banana, yogurt, snack bar and water.  It was too early for their regular shuttle so they paid for a cab to take us to the airport.  We arrived back a week later at 11 PM and were told to take a cab and we were reimbursed for that fare.  I have no complaints about the package and will do it again when we have the opportunity.  It also opened my eyes as to the possibility of using this chain for other occasions.

Great experience. Had a 5 am flight the next morning. The hotel provided us with a small breakfast to go and shuttle which was very easy and convenient.  We left our car in the hotel parking lot during our trip. When returned to the airport the shuttle picked us up promptly and took us straight to our car at the hotel. Great service and very convenient.

We stayed here recently for 2 nights.  

Pros- The hotel was clean and the decor was nice.  Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, and there is a computer and printer to use for business purposes.  It was located close to the airport, which was convenient, and there is an outdoor center nearby with a supermarket and some restaurants.  Wifi and parking were free.  

Cons- it was loud.  Noises echoed loudly in the hallways and the doors shut very loudly.  We were given a handicap accessible room, which was not so great for someone who is not in a wheel chair.  The closet did not have an option to hang things high enough to keep them off the ground if they were not shirts (only wheel chair level), and the shower head could not be raised above our heads (it was perfect for my 4 year old!).  One of our towels had large holes in it and should have been put aside as a cleaning rag.  

I am sure that a non-handicapped room would have fit our needs much better, but it was a busy weekend for the hotel and everything was probably booked. I would stay here again in a different room.

Fine but not fantastic.  The rooms are clean and the customer service was pleasant upon check in but the walls are paper thin.  I could hear everything.   When the person next door took a shower, it sounded so loud I swore it was in my hotel room.  Also, there was a group of partiers down the hall and you could hear them yelling until really late.  Also, It is pretty price-y for what you get so I don't think I would come back unless there was nothing else available in the area.  The plus side is there is food available in hotel, a nice shopping plaza 5 minutes from hotel with several restaurants and grocery store.  It is also close to the airport.

Very nice rooms, especially the all glass shower. Beds are primo plush! Full breakfast included except they advertised bacon n sausage on their amentity list but did not have any. Excellent customer service! Heated pool but no jacuzzi.  Only place to eat within walking distance was Burger King and we hate fast food. Other than that, great place to stay! And fyi..every la quinta allows pets at no charge! A plus for us.

Only stayed here for one night for a work trip, but for La Quinta, WOW!  Looks like the hotel was newly renovated so my room was very clean, modern and so cute!  The rooms have their own mini-fridges, microwaves & Keurig coffee machines so that was super convenient! Amazing customer service--actually better than that of the Fairmont San Jose. Complimentary breakfast the next day wasn't too shabby for free. Knocking down a star because the gym was small, front parking lot is small and dark (more room in the back one) and my room was located next to the exit so I could hear the door slamming every time someone would enter/exit thru the building. Other than that would definitely recommend if you're looking for cheaper accommodations in the area!

A hidden gem of a stay!  The lobby check-in has a fresh look and feel to it.  Friendly staff.  It opens up to a cozy bar area with a couple flat screens, guest stay wifi and the breakfast nook area with a great continental style breakfast.  Rooms were also nice to stay in, Keurig single coffee maker, room safe, room fridge, full length mirror, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, plantation shudders double pane windows, flat screen tv, a stylish sink and shower.  The Inn also has a laundry facility as well as a small gym and pool area.  Being nearby the airport as well as next to a Burger King,  its sure to be busy.

We stayed here for one very short night since our place was getting fumigated. We're big La Quinta Inn fans and our stay here is another reason why we're still big fans. :)

The outside of this place is totally misleading! It looks like a rundown Motel 6 located in somewhat of a sketchy little corner off the freeway. But once you walk inside, you're literally walking into a chic, simplistic and modern looking hotel.

Our hotel room was NICE. I mean like staying in a modern-Vegas-hotel-room-nice. I loved how big the shower was and how big and comfy the bed was. Only tiny downside was that the pillows were a little too firm and poofy. Expect your neck to be in slight pain the next morn if you're used to fluffier pillows.

BONUS points! Complimentary breakfast here is off the chain! Freshly made waffle batter that made the fluffiest and most delicious waffles. Bagels and cream cheese were bomb. I loved the sausages and of course the healthy hard boiled eggs. There was a plethora of other great items they had out for breakfast as well (coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, bananas, yogurt, cereal, etc).

Once they updated the exterior of this hotel, I'm sure it'll attract a lot more guests who want to stay very close to SJC.

Came here last month with my fiance for my birthday. I did some extensive research for a nice, well-priced, and close hotel for where we were going. I actually found the reviews on Yelp! And the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones so I thought I would give it a shot. I was pleasantly pleased with the overall hotel. I read the whole hotel was renovated and they did a spectacular job at doing that. The room is super clean, modern, up-to-date, and it smells decent. The bed is big and spacious. Their choice in bath and body works product for the bathroom is a big plus. They have a coffee machine which we didn't use but it's a plus if you drink coffee. They also offer a free complimentary breakfast in the morning which we went for. The staff was generally helpful and friendly. Our stay here was a perfect. Highly recommended!

I left something in the room I stayed in that had a lot of sentimental value (the bed my dog had since he was born which he cannot sleep without).  I called the location upon realizing I left it.  I was a few hours away at this point.  The employee said he would check with housekeeping and call back.  I called again a few hours later to check before we left the area.  I asked if he could mail it if they found it and he reassured me that he would, and that he would call back as soon as he found out.  He never called back.  My parents said to forget it because he obviously didn't care.  

I also emailed the manager but I never got a response.  I'm starting to notice a trend with La Quinta employees--they don't call back or respond to e-mails.  I guess they are not trained very well in regards to customer service.

Anyway, I was really disappointed.  Had I known he would not respond, I would have made the trip back (a few hours driving) to get my dog's bed.  It was his favorite and something I wanted him to have.  

The moral of the story is that if you accidentally leave something behind, you won't be getting it back from this La Quinta.

Exceptional customer service and an amazing brand that can rival 4-5 star hotels!  Unfortunately, we were only in town for a one day business trip,  but nonetheless,  the staff made us felt like it was our home away from home.  Chris and Leonard accommodated our requests and the rest of the staff is friendly.

They offer complimentary wifi and a great selection of a continental and hot breakfast consisting of:

Bagels, toasts, cereals, oatmeals, and yogurt.
The hot breakfast was an even greater deal because they offered bacon, eggs, and freshly made waffles!

The rooms were clean and the bed is fit for a King and Queen; large, spacious,  and could probably fit 3-4 people.  We've only stayed at this brand twice,  but both times had been so great, we can't stay anywhere else.

Overall I liked this La Quinta but if you are traveling for business (as I was) and they give you a room on the fringe of the hotel (182) and there is no internet signal...FAIL.  Big fail.

The only suggestion they had was to work in the lobby...which I did for hours.  Actually in the bar ($7 dollars for a Sierra Pale, thank you very much) because I could spread out my papers and two laptops and actually get some work done but not the greatest place to work by far.  As for the two conference calls I was planning on doing from the quiet room in the morning and I need to be on a network....guess I have to go find a quiet coffeehouse or something.  Fail @LQ

As for the hotel...the room was nice and recently remodeled.  The rest of the hotel interior was nice as well.

No internet?  In the tech capitol of the US? What?

I'm sure they have had complaints on this before for this room...get a booster, install another router, whatever...get it fixed.  For over $200/night...did I mention the room had no internet?

The beds had bed bugs in them, had to change to 3 different rooms, girl at the front desk was incredibly rude and the fridge didn't even work. Had to stay here for 2 weeks while my house was getting ready but I will NOT be staying here again! Horrible!

We came across la Quinta and decided to stay they have phenomenal staff and great customer service!! We signed up for the rewards program just because we know we will be back or stay at other la Quinta's!!! The bar staff was great as well he was friendly and a good bar keep! And really quiet at night don't be alarmed of the airport near by!!! The room was super clean and neat.Will DEFINITELY be back!!!! :)

Love the new look. Awesome job on the renovations. Only stayed one night because of work. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. Thanks for honorning the Government rate. They have a lovely outside entrance with water fall fountain. The sound of water was very soothing and peaceful. Looks like I'm entering a spa. The front desk area is hip and modern. The guest service reps are very friendly and nice. All full of smiles. And the breakfast was good. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free water bottle. Sweet.

At the time of check-in (at 4pm), the front desk clerk told me the only King guest room they have available and ready was a room that has an outside patio. I checked into the room thinking what a sweet deal, I have a patio all to myself. Well, I misunderstood and it turned out my room is not in the hallways like everyone else. There are two rooms at the end of the second floor that has an exterior entrance outside by the stair way. Not only that, there is a side entrance to the hotel right next to my door. It was kind of annoying hearing all these beeping sounds and door closing when the guests entered through the side entrance. Since it was just me staying in the room, I got paranoid for a moment because my door was facing outside thinking someone was right outside my door. Good thing no one smoked outside my door, otherwise I would've called to complain.

A couple hours later, I was fine with everything and got used to it. Thanks to the lovely comfortable room. The room is decorated nicely. Hip. Modern. Updated features and appliances. Love the king bed. It was comfortable. Everything was new. Carpet smells new. Keurig coffee maker was a special treat. One thing that was kind of awkward (which I didn't mind) is that the sink was right by the entrance door. The bathroom has a shower & toilet. Very spacious shower I must say. And also, I had a friend spider on the ceiling corner of bathroom wall =) Of course I left the spider alone.

As for the remote control, it was confusing at first but I learned how to use within 30 minutes lol. When changing the channels and volume, you have to press up or down instead of pushing on the button. The LCD TV was awesome. Very clear & sharp picture. It's not fuzzy & grainy like other hotel TVs. The sounds of airplanes don't bother me at all. It wasn't loud. One other minor issue are the blinds...it is not black out shades or blinds. When it's morning, it's bright and plenty of sunlight in the room. I didn't mind since I have to wake up early at 6:15am for work anways. But for you late morning folks, watch out for the sunrise =) I will definitely return on business and hopefully the room will be indoors next time.

I was in San jose for a convention and decided to stay at La Quinta because of their affordable price and cleanliness. The hotel was not too far of a drive from the convention center and the area is very quiet. The hotel sits in a quiet, industrial area however it felt really safe. The rooms were modern and very clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is more of a place to just sleep and relax than a place of activities. They do have a bar but the bartender is not really trained.

Besides the front desk concierge, everything was great. We only reserved one night stay for a fun night out. It's a few minutes away from down town. Cab fair from here to down town isn't bad at all. $20 plus a tip. There's a convenient store right next door and a burger king, which was also conveniently there! after getting back from a night out for fun and drinks with quite an appetite (munchies), we grabbed some fast food and cozied into our king size bed.

Stayed here one night for the park and fly option. Outside could use a remodel but the inside was very nice and clean. Nice little breakfast in the morning. When it was time for the shuttle to the airport we had scheduled for 6:30am, the driver was late for work. No driver, no shuttle. First thought was we had to take our car or miss our flight. We did after all pay a little extra for the park and fly. My second thought was I would blast them on Yelp.
Just then...a cab showed up and had us on our way, paid for by the hotel.
Everything worked out.

I used to be a total Road Warrior, and LQ is my favorite for the right balance of quality & price.  For part of my life I spent 200 to 250 nights a year in hotels, so I have seen it all.

This place is over the top.  GO, STAY, RELAX, this is a really great place.

Even the artwork in the room was great.
The Bath Gel smells so good!
The wash basin is a piece of art.
People working here obviously love this place and love people.
Breakfast was perfect.

ONLY Negative I found;
someone put an airport next door, possible noise vs. convenient to the airport.

I have no complaints about this place.  

The rooms are very nice with the little "Love Seat".  Stayed in the technology room.  

The complimentary breakfast sucked, and it was such a mess (caused by other people staying there of course).

But overall, the place was fairly quiet even being close to the San Jose airport.

I'd stay here again.

Excellent hotel! I accidentally made my reservation for tomorrow and when I checked in today she very quickly and easily change my check in date and informed me that it would even a little bit less cost then tomorrow night would have been. Since I have to catch their complimentary shuttle to the airport early tomorrow morning she offered that I could pick up a parfait breakfast in a bag to go on my way out, since I would leave before their continental breakfast. The room is gorgeous,has high-end fixtures, comfortable king size bed and is very clean. Every La Quinta I have stayed at has been absolutely worth it. Definitely worth the few extra dollars for such a wonderful experience every single time! I could not recommend them more highly.

The check-in and room were great. Nice hot breakfast in the morning too. Bacon, eggs, toast, yogurts, cereals. Great breakfast!  Really... no complaints AT ALL about our stay.

We booked through AmEx so I wasn't able to do the Park-N-Fly package which was a bummer. However, the management was kind enough to allow me to pony up $10/day for long-term parking which was quite generous.

The downside was on our return. Upon retrieval of our luggage we called the La Quinta  front desk for a shuttle back to the hotel. We went to shuttle pick-up space #6 as directed by hotel staff. The driver came, stopped before actually getting to the shuttle pick-up area, loaded another couple in the vehicle and drove right past us towards the airport exit. I immediately called the hotel and they apologized and said they'd have him come back around for us. No dice.

After 20 minutes I call again asking where the driver is. I'm told he's on his way. He got there 10 minutes later. When we stepped inside the vehicle it reeked of restaurant food. On the front passenger seat was a bag from a local eatery. It seems the driver had stopped for take-out before returning to pick up the guests he missed the first time around! Who does that?  

They get ONE star. Not because of the hotel's quality or cleanliness... they get it because they hired someone who respects his stomach more than the guests he's there to serve. BAD SHOW!

Here right now. If it wasn't 11pm I'd try to find a new place.

Made a reservation 23 days ago for 2 queen beds. Checked in and told I get 1 king and a roll away bed. Uh. No. Sit there for 10 mins where she continues to insist I just take what they have and I'm unreasonable for demanding two beds. You know. Like I reserved.

1.  I hear every plane over head. Didn't realize how close this was to the airport on the map

2.  In room 131. Avoid like the plague. It's outside. Likely a converted maintenance closet. And right next to the main entrance. Hear every conversation word for word.

I'll be changing the reservation for the remaining trip.

Came up to San Jose for the Stadium Series game and stayed here. Very nice rooms for a good price. Very close to the airport. But be advised it is right at the end of the runway, so you will here jets taking off early in the morning. Easy to get to. Very friendly staff. And the hotel is pet friendly. Had a very good stay while I was there and I would book again if I return to San Jose/Santa Clara.
