This place is cozy, there are about 12 cute cabin on the property (really cute). I felt like I was in my own little Village. Very private. The cabins sleep about 6 persons. This is buy far the best dollar value in Lake Tahoe.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. The kids, ages 6 and 7, loved the loft area. It was perfect for them, a little dusty, but I think I am the only one who noticed. The converted cabin was very cute!! The front window created an outdoor feel. We felt like we were camping except that we had a flushing toilet and somewhat beds. The neighbors that we were able to meet were very friendly. The "cabins" were pretty close together so there wasn't much outdoor space, but it really didn't matter much cause we spent most of our time at the lake. My favorite part of Cedar Pines was the quietness, the décor and the pillows! The pillows made up for the mattresses for sure. No campfires were allowed so we roasted our marshmallows on the briquette grill. It wasn't ideal, but it worked. There was a shared outdoor area with chairs and a fireplace that had candles in it which I thought was pretty nifty for the campfire feel. Would stay again.

I was looking for a place to stay for my very first visit to Tahoe. I checked this place out on the web and decided to book it online through their website.  We were able to get the reservation for president's day weekend a month in advance (not bad). This place is so cute.  We got cabin 12 which was fantastic!  It had the whole bear theme  going on and was clean, clean, clean!!!  This cabin (as I'm sure is the same with the others) had EVERYTHING.  You name it, extra towels, extra linen, pots, pans, utensils, cleaning products, and even a waffle iron!  The cabin itself sleeps about 6 people.  It has one bedroom and a loft that has a queen size bed.  Great location with a Raley's,  K-Mart and Starbucks literally 2 min drive down the road!  My family loved it.  I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there five nights and enjoyed the place.  A few caveats: on the Internet it looks like a resort with an office, staff, etc., but in reality it's a little cul-de-sac with 12 cabins around it that have multiple owners.  Our neighbor said the fellow who owns Cabin 7 (ours) owns two others.  A couple are for sale at the moment.

The cabin is "cozy" -- a little bigger than a large house trailer.  Kitchen has a gas range and fridge, microwave & sink.  All quite compact but allowed us to cook breakfast and assemble lunches for our day hikes.  The main bed is a queen, quite comfortable, in a small bedroom.  There is a loft with a double upstairs and the sofa is a futon.  You could sleep six, if you are very good friends.

A few issues: the overhead light in the bedroom did not work.  I switched out one of the bulbs -- still nothing.  There is a hanging light fixture in the living room.  The central bulb was broken off.  I managed to get the remains of the bulb out at the cost of nicking my thumb.  Extreme dust bunnies under the bed, which bothered my wife (who has asthma).  We could have used a list of TV channels on the cable system.  The TV was a very nice flat screen.  The dining table was a small one with "wings" that flip up.  But the braces that allow that were missing and/or broken.  With just two of us it wasn't a problem, but could have been if our party had been bigger.  Bathroom was clean, with a smallish tub and shower.  No room for towel racks, alas, except for a small one for the hand towel by the basin.

Kitchen has a nice selection of plates and cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc.  A small deck with a couple of chairs and a parking space comprise the outdoor package.  We spent our days exploring Tahoe and nearby lakes and mountains, so we didn't miss the lack of amenities.  It's pretty quiet at night, yet shopping and restaurants are very close.  It is just a few blocks from "The Y," which is the big intersection at South Tahoe.

We paid about $900 (including tax) for five nights, which I thought was a wee bit high, but I have not done extensive price comparison.  It was the area we wanted and had a kitchen so I pushed the button.  We might stay there again if we go back to  Tahoe.

We were very pleased with the facility. We booked online and it was easy and straight forward. We arrived at 6:45pm and it was very easy to access the cabin. The cabin had a key box, and we were emailed the key box code. We are planning to use this facility for our future trips to South Lake Tahoe.

We were a family of 5 staying in cabin12( closest to road). This is more like a decadent mobile home. The pictures make it look bigger than it was.
