I was pleasantly suprised with this establishment.  The room had everything you could ask for including a mini refridgerator.  We went up there for a fishing vacation and the staff was wonderful.  Fresh towels everyday and no problems.  The continental breakfast in the morning was good too.  Definately would stay here again... Oh yea, did I mention that it was cheap?

The location is great, just a short walk to the Heavenly Gondola, Safeway for groceries, the movie theatre, restaurants, shopping and Stateline.  The staff here was friendly.  They seemed laid-back and were attentive to our needs.  The room was great, clean and updated.  We stayed here while on our very first family trip to the snow.  Overall experience was great!!  We stayed in the family suite which included a full kitchen (stove, sink, microwave, small refrigerator, I think they also had plates and pans too, 2 separate living quarters- main living room and the other side of the wall, 2 queen beds.  They even have a fireplace that can be seen from both sides of  the room.  Also, a nice lodge area and fireplace in the main lobby, but that place turns into a mad-house in the mornings when everyone is fighting for the bacon and eggs because of the free continental breakfast offered here.  If you have kids, good luck finding a place for your family to sit, just like what we had to do.  You'll just have to wait for a family to finish-up.  They have a truck with a plow and the roads are always cleared-up for the crowd to drive off to the ski resorts.  The other thing about this place to be aware of is the parking.  Good luck in trying to find a place to park if you ever return past 9pm or so at night.  Alot of people like to bring their SUV's and trucks and spacing could be tight.  There's only like 16 spots in the back end of the hotel.  The staff was friendly enough to let us park the CRV in the handicap spot.  Speaking of CRV, I used the navigation system to search for places to eat near the hotel and came across a restaurant called the "NAKED FISH".  Not used to the scaling of the map, it seemed a far walk away, so we all got into the car.  As soon I drove onto the street, the restaurant was literally in front of us.  Ooops, stupid me.  So we went back, parked the car, and walked there instead.  You are in PRIME Location here, everything is ridiculously close.  I recommend for buffet, Harrah's on the 18th floor.  Dinner is less than $20, more selection, better view, and tastes FAR more better than that piece of shit food they have at MONT BLEU.  Avoid that place at all costs!

I'm rating this hotel low because the beds in our room totally sucked. The rest of the hotel was up to the chain's high standard. It is clean, functionally, and a good hotel breakfast.

This is the first time I've encountered bad beds at a Holiday Inn Express.

Nice features at this hotel. Big bathroom with granite counter, large quiet room.  The outside walkways have plastic grids overlaid for better walking over snow.  Outside, a hot tub and pool, and also an inside hot tub and sauna room.  Bathroom near the front desk, a nice relief after the long drive.  My television worked just fine, comfy bed.   Only minus is, like all holiday inns, the free shampoo is lame.

The stay was pretty good for the price. Near the lifts, decent walking distance to shopping areas. Place was nice and neat. Would stay here again especially that they serve pretty good food. The first day it was omlettes then the next day sausages and eggs. Worked out well especially that that it was Valentine's weekend..Only complaint was parking.

The room was quiet and comfortable, reminiscent of a lodge in the Colorado mountains, updated furnishings--very pretty actually. Strong
shower pressure, double sinks, comfy beds. My favorite amenity was.the warm swimming pool and jacuzzi.  Quiet atmosphere -- no one else at the outdoor pool nor at the indoor pool. I would stay here again.

Very clean rooms, excellent housekeepers. Front desk staff always friendly. Breakfast is a nice extra.  Great location, here during off season, and the price was high, but I like Holiday Inns, consistently good lodging.

I was so happy with my experience here. It surpassed my expectations as far as a Tahoe hotel goes.
I made my reservation with Orbitz online and I wasn't aloud to adjust the rate to take into account my boyfriend's AAA membership which wasn't very accomodating, but I doubt that was so much of the hotel's deal as it was the website's.  We had opted for the late check-in, since we drove from the Bay Area after work.
The rooms are situated in either 2 story or 3 story buildings and for the 3 story there are elevators (that worked).  Also up and running was an indoor spa (pretty large size and clean) and a sauna.  You need your room key to get in.  The standard bedroom was enough for 4 adults (w/o full snowboarding gear).  They offer a desk and mirror, microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee station.  There were plenty of towels, a hairdryer, and counterspace in the spacious bathroom.  The housekeeping never bothered us and did a great job each day.
They have a legitimate complimentary breakfast that we didn't realize until the second morning.  It has a soft ending time of 10 am.  They are constantly refilling the stations with egg patties, ham, french toast, muffins and bagels, hot cinnamon buns, and of course cereal, yogurt, oj and coffee.  Our group was infatuated with the "state of the art" pancake machine that produces hotcakes in 45 seconds.  They aren't so much as fluffy as they are just tasting and cakey.
As far as location goes, this could possibly be a little too far for some people who wear high heels, but in flats you could definitely make it to and from the casinos comfortably.  A cab ride was $7.
It really was a great choice and I will definitely be back!

Overpriced for what it is.  The room was decently sized with a king bed and a bar...  However, the TV was from 1991 and the heater from 1962.  The heater especially irked me because it was either on or off - no temp gauge - so you either freeze or you sweat.  The shower was OK, but temperamental, sometimes there just wasn't enough hot water for 2 people to shower back to back.

Bonus: Location
Con: Too $ for what you get

A good place to stay that's close to the main casinos. I've stayed here twice and both times they've given me a reasonable price for a room. The bathrooms are actually really nice with double sinks and there's a tv, coffee maker, and mini fridge in the room. There's free breakfast but make sure you get there by 9:30 am because it gets quite busy. The staff is happy to help you with anything.

A recent stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Corvallis, OR made me sort of excited about this chain. I used to think Holiday Inns were kind of...dumpy, but the one in Corvallis was fresh and new, with a rather impressive free breakfast and really nice rooms.

My hopes were dashed at this HIE. The rooms are in separate buildings with outdoor corridors, something that just screams "cheap motel" to me. The rooms are decorated fairly nicely, but the free breakfast was an atrocity. The saddest part is that we paid MORE for a room here than we did in Corvallis, and the stay was half as satisfying. I guess Tahoe hotels know they have a captive audience and therefore don't have to try as hard.

I go to Tahoe all the time and before I would ussually either stay at a friends cabin or stay at the hotel/casino. Anyway, this hotel is affordable and very modern and up to date.  The bathrooms are remodeled, equipped w/granite counters and sinks. So lovely :) Best Holiday inn expess ever. Not to mention the staff is so awesome. The last time I stayed here an associate named Kim helped check me in and she gave me a cheapo rate on a peak season day. I was like thank you!!!!!!!! The rooms are equipped w/the usual mini refrigerator, Wi-fi, tv, and ginormous heater/AC.

To top it all off my boyfriend always hits the spa and jacuzzi that they have there. Yes, its freezing out but he loves that shit. Hahahaha. O and of course....continental breakfast. Pretty good too considering its FREE 99!

The hotel is in close proximity to Heavenly and the Harrahs. 2 thumbs up :)

This place was a real great surprise. Wife didn't want to stay in a "smelly" casino or a dingy place off 50 so we limited our choices. I had low expectations but this has far exceeded them. It's a 5 star value. They have an indoor and outdoor hottub. The rooms were spotless each time and my wife checks thoroughly. The decor is  very tohoe like which adds to the charm. We plan on staying many times in the future.

Note: we only ever stay in the main building so that's all we can review. The breakfast is crappy. But what free breakfast isn't.

This place gives you ownership rights to belting out "Hotel, motel, Holiday Inn" when you are dancing at a club during your stay in Tahoe... what more excuse do you need to stay here???

OK, fine... here are some more reliable notes...

Clean updated rooms.

Nice updated bathrooms. Granite countertop... and a long countertop at that. I could imagine me and three of my friends all getting ready for a night out in front of that bathroom mirror and having plenty of room... and I did not expect that from a Holiday Inn.

$5.50 cab ride from casinos. (Very close... walkable in good weather)

Cute wooden doors... gives it that Tahoe rustic charm.

Comfy beds and pillows.

Microwave and fridge included in the room. Great for some hot chocolate or tea (provided)... or to store some leftovers for midnight munchies when you get back from the casinos/bars.

Heater worked well.

Plenty of TV channels to zone out to if you need that.

Great cheap stay... I'd go back for sure.

It's ok, but not great value.

Pros: Rooms are clean and quiet (both neighbors and traffic noise). Staff efficient. Free WiFi in rooms and lobby; breakfast included. Convenient access and parking.

Cons: Too expensive ($150+tax for single king bed in June) especially with all the vacancy signs around. King bed was too soft. WiFi signal weak and required login to home page, which would periodically log you out. Breakfast was mostly sugary/processed stuff, with only apples and bananas as fresh fruit, and way too crowded.

Overall: Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.

Being one of the only semi nice hotels with availability, we ended up staying here.It was actually quite nice.

The only room available was a suite, and we got a pretty good rate.It was like a little apartment equipped with refrigerator and all, very clean, modern, the bathroom was remodeled extremely nice.Had two rooms both with a nice size television.

Overall stay was good, very close to Harra's and shopping center, glad we lucked out with this place.I would definitely avoid the complementary breakfast and go elsewhere, just took a glance at it and it didn't look to great, but then again I am a little picky.

Great location in a walkable area. Very clean hotel room. Breakfast was good enough, with some hardboiled and scrambled eggs and yogurt. Parking is free. It had a real lodge-type feel to it. The bathroom was huge.

The only possible problem I had was that there were a lot of smokers near my room and the smell went into my room. Not the hotel's fault. Also, the beds were springy and not soft with a pillow top like I have experienced at other Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Check in was quick and easy. Wifi was quick and fast. I used points but if I had paid for it, it would have been $100++. That seems a bit pricey given that there are many other hotel options on this street.

This hotel was surprisingly nice. I've never stayed at holiday inn express but if they're all like this one I most definitely would again. For this time of year in Tahoe the price was right. Cheaper than the casino hotels but still very close to everything. Within walking distance to food, shopping and casinos.

The room was clean and the beds were cozy with lots of pillows. The pillows even come with little descriptions on them that stated if they were soft or firm (2 of each). The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and that was in a standard room with 2 double beds. The TV is old (not flat screen) but we weren't there for the TV!

Now for the best part... the continental breakfast. Usually you get muffins and bagels but this breakfast offered much more. Biscuits and gravy, omelettes, ham, pancakes, plus all the usuals. I mean, it's still hotel food so it's not 5 star quality but it's free and good enough for me!

We stay at this hotel for 3 nights the first week of January 2012.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff is friendly and they show they care the hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a Hot Tub and Sauna. In the morning, the hotel offers a complementary breakfast buffet with enough options to grab a bite and hit the road. Would recommend it and stay there again. Free WI-FI!

Pretty much what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express, high marks for consistency. However, we paid extra for the suite with a fireplace and it didn't work. That felt like a huge waste of money. Beds are mediocre. The two bedrooms in the suite were nicely arranged with dual access to the bath. Kitchenette is a bonus if you want to pack lunches and hike all day. Breakfast was fine. The attendant at breakfasts made the experience more enjoyable, very friendly. They only have one high chair, FYI.

The room we stayed in was very nice, and clean. It also had a little mini bar complete with a mini sink aside from the vanity, microwave and fridge which was very convenient. Also love the fact that it was a short walk to heavenly village and all the casinos.
So why the 4 out of 5 stars you ask? The wifi was horrible. All throughout our stay we kept on having to log in to the wifi service that comes with the room. And at times the server didn't even show up in our phones/iPads. This could be the fact that we ended up getting a room at the back of the hotel, but if they advertise the free wifi that comes with the room, I believe you should be able to get the signal in the rooms.

* The Best Pillows ever - soft and firm embellished onto the pillow cases.
* Clean coffee mugs - a treat.
* Wholesome breakfast - worth waking up in the morning!

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend getaway to South Lake Tahoe and our experience at Holiday Inn Express complimented and completed our trip. Jeff, who helped us with reservations was cordial and so good with his PR skills. The ladies who were at the breakfast counter were sweet.

Just 2 things that could have given this a 5 star rating:

1. No water in the room.
2. The sharp metallic leaf on the headboard poked my tall husband. Risky, and could be fatal with kids!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in South Lake Tahoe over the weekend for a last minute getaway in SLT.  We got a 2 bedroom family suite and there was plenty of room for all of us (2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 baby).  The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were all comfortable.  We had a fireplace in the room which was nice since it was cool and windy around town.  The room even came with a small mini fridge and microwave which we actually ended up using.  They have a continental breakfast which I hear from everyone that is supposed to be pretty good but we didn't get a chance to try it since we all decided to sleep in a little late the next morning.  The hotel is close to everything so that we walked everywhere we needed to go; the only time we drove was when we went down to hang out at the beach along Zephyr Cove resort.  We did have to wait a bit even after check-in time for our room to be ready but the staff was really nice about it.  Will definitely be returning when we are back in town.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night as we were passing through Lake Tahoe.  For a standard room with a king size bed we paid $150.  I would say this hotel is just okay. I didn't have a horrible experience, but it wasn't exactly a great one either.

1) The room was very clean. I hate walking into a hotel and feeling like it is scummy or gross. This holiday inn did NOT feel like that and I was very happy with how clean everything was.
2) Excellent location!  Easy walk to heavenly village and the casinos.  Very close to Carrows and Applebees if you are just looking for something quick.
3) Free wifi
4) Spacious and comfy king bed
5) Nice TV and many channels available
6) Free parking right outside the rooms

1) Housekeeping!!!  First they woke us up early by slamming the cart around very loudly outside. Then they knocked on our door at 8:30am.  We told them we were still sleeping but they kept coming by and knocking on our door repeatedly, even after we put in the "please let us sleep for a few more hours" placard. This kept occurring from 8:30-10:30pm. Check out time was 12pm and we felt that housekeeping kept pressuring  us to leave, even hours before checkout. I found it very irritating to be woken up in this way and did not appreciate practically being pushed out the door.
2) Continental breakfast was not great.  They did have a lot of items to choose from, but all of the items were poor quality. In addition, the way the breakfast area is set up is annoying. It was very crowded and hard to access many of the items we wanted.
3) Although the bathroom was a good size, the bedroom was pretty small overall and  felt cramped even for 2 people.
4) Walls seemed like they were paper thin. We could constantly hear people walking by and up/down the stairs.
5) Lack of amenities. I have stayed at hotels for similar prices that had gyms, room service, etc which is always convenient.

During the 4th of July weekend my family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. After driving five hours and arriving at 3pm ready to check in, I was told by Kim the manager our room was not ready.  I explained to Kim I pre paid for the room and expected to have a room ready upon arrival. Kim was very rude and raised her voice saying the house keepers have 89 rooms to clean and that she didn't know when the room would be ready. Kim was not helpful, her only suggestion was if I was unhappy with the service, she could cancel the reservation.  I asked Kim for her managers name and contact number.  I have called Paulina seven times and have left two messages asking to speak to her. Its been a week later with no response.  If you want to get treated with disrespect and poor customer service, then come and stay at the Holiday inn Express in Tahoe. As for me no thanks I'd rather stay at the Budget Inn!!!

We came up to SLT for a wedding.  We brought our kids.  I was NOT about to stay at the resort for 300/night, and I looked for something decent (our last wedding, we stayed at a Motel 6 in SLO, so clearly I am not picky when it's just a night or two, plus I'm thrifty.  As a family, we spend most of our time OUT of the room anyway.)

I care about 3 things:

1) are there bedbugs (even really expensive hotels can have them, they are nearly impossible to get rid of, so check the mattresses and run wet tp around the bedframe looking for blood specks.)
2) are the beds decent (if it's cheap enough, I might not care, but after a long drive, I appreciate a decent mattress.)
3) is there wi-fi.

Holiday Inn Express at Stateline met ALL my requirements, and raised the bar a bit for a "cheap" hotel.  There's breakfast.  All HIE serve breakfasts, and this one made my kids happy because they made their own pancakes.  There's an outdoor pool and spa.  There's an INDOOR spa, and sauna.  Both clean, if a little chlorine-scented.

The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and the bathroom was huge (two sinks, big counter, large changing space, nice deep tub.)

I've stayed at the Marriott here before, and I have to say, I was more comfortable in the HIE.  I'd stay here again.  The wi-fi was slow, but eh.  That's not as painful as having to pay for it or not having it at all.

We go to Tahoe a lot and this was a great stay! Very clean rooms with nice linen and very comfortable beds. Front desk girl was very nice and helpful. We loved the location. Easy walk across the street for shopping and easy access to Heavenly. Cheaper option than the casinos with 5 min walk. The continental breakfast was the best we have had; very happy with our stay. Will be coming back next year.

We stayed here for 2 nights (Sun and Mon). I am a member of this brand of hotels. Even though I specifically stated in my reservation that we wanted an upstairs room we were given a downstairs room at checkin. Both nights the people upstairs were extremely loud. Children and adults yelling, loud elephant-like thumping and banging, and all other noises were heard. We could hear the whirring and beeping of their microwave and any time they turned on the water or flushed we heard that too. The wrestling like sounds made us feel like they were throwing chairs or other furniture around. Even my 2-year old had trouble sleeping because of the noises.

The room was spacious but nothing special. Things were outdated. The carpet had some rips, ceiling had some old water leak stains, tub area had some old tiles, etc.

One pro was the plentiful parking.

The breakfast was mediocre and very crowded and hot inside. Salty powered eggs, greasy bacon, dry turkey sausage, pastries, yogurt and cereal for the most part. I doubt I would stay here again based on the noise itself.

This gets two starts because the room was clean and in walking distance to everything, but our experience was very negative with the hotel customer service. We really usually like Holiday Inn Express', so that's why we chose this one for our trip to Tahoe, but we'll probably not stay there again.

We checked in to the HIE at South Lake Tahoe Sunday, July 20th at 3pm for a concert that evening at 6:30pm. We settled into our room, and shortly thereafter (about 4:15pm), there was a power outage. It affected the whole Heavenly Village area, so it wasn't just HIE, but, I was forced to take a shower in the pitch black and get ready for the concert we'd been looking forward to for 5 months in a room with no electricity. We spent only 1hr 15 minutes in the room with power before it went out, until we returned after the concert at 11:30pm (and the power was restored, and we went right to bed).

This morning, we checked out at 9am, and I spoke to the front desk. The clerk at the front desk (who I'm fairly certain was a manager) asked how our stay was, (not even acknowledging the power outage at first), and when I told her my experience was poor, and let her know that I was disappointed at only having power for a very short amount of time in the room, she said "oh, well, mother nature, nothing we can do about it." She didn't apologize, ask us if there was anything additional she could do, or make any effort to make amends for our negative experience. I fully understand that the hotel wasn't at fault for the power outage, but I still felt like the appropriate action on the behalf of the hotel was to make sure their guests were accommodated following the negative experience.

I was asked to pay full price for a room that didn't have power for the majority of time spent in it, and, in all honesty, I could have went and camped in the woods for a much lower price. Hotels down the street used power generators to ensure their guests had electricity, and I'm positive they would have made efforts to make amends for their guests' poor experience. I wasn't asking for a free room or money back, but they customer service rep did not make any efforts to apologize for our poor experience. Even a gesture of atonement or acknowledgement would have been acceptable, but instead only excuses and an "our hands are tied" attitude was presented. This was my first time to South Lake Tahoe, and on my next trip, I think I'll have to consider a different lodging option.

2.5 stars. We've stayed at Holiday Inn Express's before, and have generally enjoyed our stay. Paid top dollar a few week-ends ago (due to the amazingly fun Celebrity Golf Tournament that week-end).

- Great location, close to casinos (if that's your thing). Walking distance to things on the 'main drag.'
- Free hot breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it's free!
- Free WiFi
- Non-smoking, pet free (we have allergies).
- Service was prompt and courteous.

- Old, dated. Wallpaper peeling from the bathroom. Bathrooms especially seemed a bit worn and dated.
- Found a few cobwebs near the window sill and dust behind chairs (I'm picky, as I have little ones).
- Was hoping for a view of the lake, or something in nature. Seems like most rooms look into the parking lot.

Not the best hotel, not the worst. But, two stars is, "Meh, I've experience better." Pretty much sums it up.

Eh. Not bad, but the whole stay was decidedly underwhelming.

Nothing was necessarily wrong - the room was clean and pretty spacious, staff was generally friendly. It was kind of annoying having to pay an extra $10/night for a roll away bed when we had already paid so much for the room and the description of the room at the time of checkout said that it would have a sofa bed but didn't actually when we got there (granted, it's Labor Day weekend so high prices are to be expected, but still a disappointment). Wifi in the room was spotty at best, but again, just a nuisance and not really something wrong. The included breakfast buffet was pretty good - it's nice that it was something more than just continental. Location of the hotel is really convenient. It's a 10 minute walk to the lake (at most) and it's within a mile of a good number of restaurants and other touristy shops along Lake Tahoe Blvd. so that was cool - makes dining really easy.

The main reason it was so disappointing was that we paid such a high amount for a room that was worth half as much. We've stayed at hotels of very similar caliber for less than half the price of what we paid here and received much better service. Regardless of location or the fact that it's a holiday weekend, it would have been nice to feel that we got an experience that was worth what we paid for the room.

Overall, the hotel is pretty average, and for having paid $300+/night it was below average. Wouldn't rule out staying here again, but definitely will look into other options first next time (or come back at a time when the rate for a room should be more reasonable for the quality of service that is provided).

This hotel offers a bit less than you get from the typical Holiday Inn Express property. The standard rooms are small-ish, and there are exterior walkways with no elevators. The outdoor pool and hot tub close at dark (weird, never seen that rule anywhere else) though there's also an indoor pool open later. The breakfast area gets really slammed on weekend mornings. The hotel's in a great location, though. You're right next to the resort area, within easy walking distance of dozens of restaurants and shops, plus the casinos across the state line. Meanwhile, the rooms are just far enough back from the main drag that road noise isn't a problem.

Stayed here on 05/15 on the way home from Vegas

The lady that checked us in was very nice. The room was nice but smelled of smoke?  Not cig smoke but wood smoke. I went and asked the lady in the lobby about it, she said she had no idea why it would smell like that but offered to switch our room, which i accepted. The next room was nice, clean, smelled great. bed was comfy

Rooms are reasonably priced

Breakfast was hit and miss...some of the bread items were a little stale, coffee was good and hot though.

I will try this place again on my next trip to Tahoe

We've stayed here on several occasions. The location is great for South Tahoe activities.  Walking distance to State Line and the casinos, souvenir shops, art galleries, etc.

Easy to find and plenty of parking. They even have a traffic signal at the entrance which is very convenient when the congestion is bad.

Price has always been reasonable, between $100 and $150 per night depending on the day, week or season.

On our last stay a few nights ago, we'd just come from a horrible experience at another establishment and arriving here was like stepping into a five star resort!  I've always thought this place was A-Ok, but now I noticed how really nice it is for the price.  Value without compromise.  That should be their motto.

Check in was easy and handled very well even though they were busy with phones ringing & people arriving...and we didn't have a reservation.  Ricky did a great job multi-tasking.

Opening the door to our room, I was immediately impressed with the pleasant knotty pine type decor and blown away at the size of the bathroom with dual sinks, tiled floor and a solid hardwood door!  Compared to where we had just stayed, we all breathed a sigh of relief. This was so nice.

While my wife & daughter took their turns in the shower, I headed down to the pool. It was heated, but not hot. Perfect temperature for an afternoon dip followed up by a soak in the hot tub under the pines.  I marveled at how clean it was and mentally commended the grounds keepers on a job well done. Those trees surely keep them busy on a daily basis.

After my swim, I inquired about staying an additional night and Ricky said that would be no problem.  In fact, the rate would be $15 cheaper!

The breakfast was the standard fare at Holiday Inn Express.  Assorted cereals, breads, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruit, juices, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, etc.  Nothing to write home about, but filling & with plenty of options.  It was busier (more crowded) here than I've seen at other HIE's. It didn't appear like they ran out of anything.

My wife & I both agreed that this particular Holiday Inn Express is a real gem. We could easily spend a week here and may do that next summer or fall.

I like the location of this Holiday Inn Express. It's walking distance from the touristy locations like Heavenly and all the other surrounding hotel casinos like Harvey's, Harrah's, Mountbleu, etc. This would be my recommend hotel if you're travelin' on a budget and bringing the kiddos along. You won't have to deal with the stinky smell of cancer sticks and the loud slot machines. I do not recommend this hotel for couples and extremely light sleepers since the walls are paper thin.

On the other hand, customer service at the front desk was really good. The ladies working there were friendly and attentive to our needs. They handed us a map and lead us to the direction of our room.

Some of the few amenities that this hotel has to offer is:
- One Outdoor Swimming Pool
- Indoor Jacuzzi
- Free Complimentary Breakfast

I can not comment on the jacuzzi and the outdoor swimming pool itself because I did not bring a swimsuit with me, but I do hope the other Yelpers write about them. On the other hand, the free complimentary breakfast in the hotel lobby was not all that bad Sunday morning. Usually when I think about complimentary breakfast, I only think about toast, cereal, bagels, milk, juice, and a few fruits and yogurt. I am surprised they had a lot more to offer than I thought. There were some scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, pancakes, and cinnamon buns. If you're keen for taste, the food can get pretty bland, but what I usually do to my eggs is add the gravy on top. Also, there's always some salt and pepper on the table. However, it can get pretty crowded around 8 AM, so you might want to wake up earlier or go a little after 8:45 AM.

The rooms on the other hand were clean for the most part. The beds were slightly firm but mostly soft. The sheets were washed and cleaned well. I love how there were labeled soft and firm pillows, and the room smells like a fresh pine tree forest. Well- at least in my room. Here are a few perks the rooms have to offer:

- Free Wifi
- Microwave
- Mini Refrigerator
- TV with Cable
- Coffee Maker with Coffee Packets
- Hair Dryer
- Travel Sized Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, and Soap
- If you for got your toothbrush or toothpaste at home, you can always request the front desk for some or simply walk down and across the street to the Raley's in the Heavenly Plaza or one of the convenient gift shops.

Again, staying at this hotel is not ideal for couples and the light sleepers if you do not have ear plugs. The walls are paper thin and the floors can be very creaky no matter how lightly you step. My sister and I stayed in a separate room from our parents and brother, and when we were about to relax and sleep, we can hear our Dad laughing obnoxiously next door to us. One thing that slightly made me lose my mind was when my little sister broke the shower knob. Luckily, I was able to fix it! Please be gentle when you twist the knob unless you want to screw the handle off like my sister did.

Overall not a bad hotel, it's pretty laid back despite all the paper thin walls. I would not mind coming back there again as their guest.

Horrible customer service!  As mentioned in reviews below, the folks that work here do not wish to resolve any issues with the stay or the billing.  Considering how much I paid to stay for 3 days (north of $900) I found out later on my credit card bill they also charged me another $150.  They claimed I smoked in the room (non smoking room) yet I don't even smoke!  When I tried to resolve the issue with the hotel they were very unhelpful and did not want to work things out.  They claimed it was confirmed by by another person on staff who of course was on their payroll.  My room was right by the stairwell which attracted a lot of smoking people outside (as well as outdoor noise).  A couple more issues:

-The window blinds - theres no privacy from people looking inside, nor a way to shut out the light.

- Maid service knocking on the door even when they see a do not disturb sign on the door.

Even though I visit Tahoe multiple times a year, I definitely won't give patronage to this hotel in the future and will recommend to my friends and family to stay away!

Great customer service and an excellent room. We booked a non refundable room for out anniversary. We had our sitter cancel in us and the staff was very helpful letting us change the date. Then the kids got pink eye and we had to change it again. They let us change it again bit told us this was the last time. Luckily nothing else went wring and we were able to get up to Tahoe. We got a room in the back right next door to the hot tub and sauna. The room was huge and it was great not having any neighbors except above. The hotel is walking distance to heavenly village and Harrah's/Harvey's. I would recommend to anyone who wants a romantic getaway.
