First unit was terrible (#431).  Dark, dated.  What made it worse is I called months in advance to question the unit assigned to us.  I am a frequent traveller.  Based on this discussion I was informed that unit 502 was available and recently updated so I said book it.  Sounded good.  But, upon arrival the front desk clerk (very rude woman) said our unit (502) was unavailable.  Once we checked into 431 and saw how bad it was a call was made to complain.  After an hour unit 502 suddenly was open.  Unit was better but furniture was disgusting.  Couch smelled like urine.   Overall,  3 stars because of great shuttle service but beware this property is vintage and dependent on owner of the unit.

We have stayed here at least 5 times over the years....each time is different but I would say that we have always been satisfied with our stays....on our current stay...check in was easy and friendly...however they forgot to mention that they have a free continental breakfast...the pool hot tub and sauna all worked and were heated...it was fun sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing...maid service was great...our townhouse this time was 410...decor was nice maybe a bit dated but who cares...tvs are dated hard to watch Sharks playoffs on them but plenty of cool bars to go to if I wasn't so lazy....they brought and started fires for us...overall we definitely recommend this place for a stay in South Shore....join the email list to get good deals.

We just had a baby shower in the Lakeside Room. It was fabulous. I totally recommend this venue for a small event. The view was breathtaking.

This place was your average tri-level condo with loft and balcony patio.  It was pretty large but the beds were like bricks and the couch kept eating my body.  The television sets could not have been older and did not work with our Xbox.  The units don't have washers and dryers but the staff say that you can use theirs in the clubhouse.

The nicest thing about this place was that they offer room service.  We basically trashed the place and it was clean again when we came home at night.  Dishes done, beds made.  Splendid.

I'd stay here again - hopefully in a nicer unit with matching decor and comfortable furniture.

Great place to stay. Free Shuttle is fantastic to casinos. Rooms are nice.  Mine had a kitchenette so our family was able to cook meals and eat on our balcony when we got tired of going out. Property is on the lake with a pier. Covered underground parking. Staff very friendly.

Very friendly & helpful staff on a really gorgeous, well maintained property. Two story condo was roomy enough to accommodate my cousin, her husband and toddler, and grandma comfortably. Two pools - a "big" one for grown folk and a kiddie pool that the littles had a blast in - that are heated. The jacuzzi is almost the same size as the pool (read: the tub is huge and the pool is smallish). They also have loungers and chairs set out on the beach for guests.

Friends had a gorgeous lakeside ceremony followed by reception above the club house. Very nice, and the bride was relaxed and happy, which tells me everything ran smoothly :)

One bonus, or not-so-bonus depending on your view: There was a juvenile bear wandering around the property. Staff members were doing everything to keep guests safe... a bears gonna do what a bears gonna do!

One of the reason i booked this property is because it was close to the beach and they have kid/teen activities and thought this would be a great place to stay. Front desk people were very helpful. The unit we stayed at however (410) is nothing like the picture posted on the site. The unit was outdated. As we walk into our unit the carpeting was wet, kitchen closet door has hole patch and the side wall has hole patch as well then the smoke alarm was not attached properly that it fell on my head (OUCH!). The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable and the traffic noise was bad.

The good thing about this resort is that they had some children activities and its very close to the beach and free shuttle services. Kitchen is fully equipped. Unit is very spacious good for a a big family. The pools are nice and the beach is really wonderful and there was lots of space and plenty of chairs and lounges to use. I would come back here again because of the beach the kids activities but am hoping to have a better unit with less traffic noise and a more updated townhome/unit

P.S please double check your room before staying there. This unit we stayed at has wall patches and has small holes on the wall and if you do see it pls report right away. Thats the mistake i made..i didnt report the holes and just assumed they were working on it due to hole patches that were already done on the wall.  Now i'm being charge for something we didnt even do. I ADVISE EVERYONE WHO IS STAYING THERE TO DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING...

Had an awesome stay here. The cabins are all located within easy walking distance of the beach and lake. There's also a free shuttle service that takes you where you need to go as well as free breakfast in the mornings.

***This review is for the beach only***

The next point of interest for another family photo opportunity was at the Lakeland Beach.

I was really in awe when I saw the snow capped mountain tops in a distance across the semi-wavy ocean. The views are worth more seeing them in person. Me trying to describe the views will do no justice!  The winds were gusty the time we visited. It was hard to stay still for photos. Bad hair days were in full effect this day!

The beach is a must visit during the winter season. Trust me! Check out my amateur photo!
