I wasn't expecting a stay at the Ritz Carlton, but the roadside inn made for a memorable night at a hotel, albeit for other reasons.

It was completely gross. The bathroom tile was falling off the wall and the bed spread reminded me of something out of a late 70s slasher film.   Fearful of physically touching anything inside the hotel room, I never got underneath the covers out of respect for my personal hygiene.  Fortunately, I had a sleeping bag stowed away in the Subaru so I ended up sleeping in my sleeping bag on top of the bed.

I Was right to question the hygiene and goings on in this hotel room.  When I awoke in the morning from my sleeping bag cocoon, I gathered my belongings, again being careful to minimally touch the porous hotel room surfaces.  I checked underneath the bed to make sure that none of my belongings strayed underneath, and I was not surprised to find a used condom left by a previous guest.  Or did the hotel clerk rent my room for the hour while I was out for dinner, in a Seinfeld inspired plot???

    I guess I will never know. . .

Clean and cheap accomodations, compared to the other low prices motels in the area.  Parking lot is limited, but it was a slow weekend, so we didn't have a problem.  Ghetto factor: it was odd that upon check-in they hand you the remote along with the keys to the room.  Location is perfect for a 1 minute walk right into Harvey's and for $49 a night, I'd crash here again if the major hotel/casino's were all booked again.
