I actually came here because I was curious about all the mediocre reviews and I have to stay in this area a lot.  This hotel is eight miles out of Fort Morgan, which is the preferred spot for restaurants.

The hotel  is in a smaller town.  There are restaurants nearby, and McDonald's, gas stations, and views of the Prairie.

The room is quite nice: king size bed, comfortable, 4 big pillows, window seat with a lovely view, a kitchenette and a seating area with the coffee table.

The pool and hot tub were both in working order and although I didn't check the water temperature, they looked like every other major chain hotel pool and hot tub.

The breakfast was also standard--the waffles were very good, I had two.  The coffee was not good-- that's usual --and I had an orange.  There were also pastries, yogurt,  orange juice, etc.

The room was quite chilly when I checked in at 3:30, but the heater worked well and it was nice and warm by the time I changed for dinner.

The place was very nicely decorated for Christmas so I would expect they do get some family travelers here.

So why stay 8 miles out of Fort Morgan?  I'll tell you why.  The hotel scene in Ft. Morgan has gotten ridiculous--the prices are up and a lot of the hotels are full. This is a definite alternative if you don't want to reserve in advance and miss out on a room.  Since you have to have a car here anyway, I drove into Fort Morgan to my favorite restaurant.   I'm headed out to the eastern part of the state for the next two days so this worked out well.  I would not hesitate to stay here again.

There was a TV with many stations but I'm not much of a TV watcher so I can't compare.
