History

Established in 2012.

We purchased this motel in the winter of 2012.  It was quite outdated so we began busily renovating and upgrading most of the rooms.

We want to create a budget, affordable yet comfortable lodging choice in a busy, expensive seasonal resort town.

Our staff is amazing, friendly, professional and just basically great people to know.  We love our guests and we love the mountains.

Our property is also pet friendly and non smoking.

Please come by and take a look!

For the price, the accommodations were excellent. Clean and in a great location. The shower was a little small, and the hut tub wasn't working, but we weren't planning on spending much time at the lodge, so it was a big problem.

Great value and fantastic service! There is no reason to stay anywhere else in Estes Park when you could stay here. The rooms are clean and have everything you need with high quality soap products, but what really sets this place apart is the staff. Gale went above and beyond to accommodate me which I am very grateful for. I made a mistake and booked my reservation for the wrong day and Gale was completely understanding and she simply corrected my mistake without any fees or complications. This place has a valuable product in a great mountain town and instead of trying to gouge their guests they keep things affordable and seem to really care about the people staying in their lodge. This is my new go to place to stay in Estes Park.

The room is old but clean, it is fine for short stay. They have two rows of motels, the first row is recently remodeled, the second row seems not, you can still see the construction waste.

The best point is that the Estes lake is within walking distance. The lake has a gorgeous view in any time of the day.

Great bargain. Quiet. Easy to find and easy to find a park. Walking distance to restaurants, a short drive to downtown Estes Park.

With very little experience of the Estes Park hotels, we chose Coyote Mountain Lodge based on Yelp reviews. While the reviews have been pretty accurate, we had some unexpected disappointments.

First off, Jenifer (one "n") at the front desk is wonderful: smart and helpful.

But once we got into the condo (2-bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen & living rm), we were less enthused (Jack #2). The place had a funky smell upon entering. We figured it was the garbage disposal and promptly ran that with some soap and everything cleared up. It's furnishings are fine (I think it was recently updated) but there were a pair of rumpled socks behind the couch and a set of keys near the foot of the couch. It didn't instill confidence in the cleanliness of the place. The dishwasher kept beeping - for no apparent reason. It was really frustrating. I think we ran that load of dishes a few times to finally get it to stop beeping. (Perhaps some instructions on what to do when it beeps every 5 min for hours would be helpful?) No tissues or paper towels were provided (weird for a full kitchen) so we had to use the bathroom hand towels for any kitchen clean-ups. There were only two cushions on the dining table chairs despite the fact there were 4 chairs. It's probably best to just not have any cushions if you don't have all 4. This may be really nitpicky but the knives in the kitchen were crazy dull. It was hard to believe how difficult it was to cut bread & potatoes. I'm sure it's not any lodge's top priority to keep the knives sharp but we were excited to do some cooking and were really inhibited by the knives.

On the upside, they allow pets and don't have a 3+ night minimum during the Scottish Festival weekend - which is really rare. The beds were comfy and clean and the location is awesome (we biked everywhere) and again - Jenifer is fantastic. It's large and has a lovely view and is perfect for two couples or a family.

If you judge this place on bang for your buck then this is a good bet. It's not modern or brand new but I'm not expecting that for $59 a night. It was clean and very comfortable. I've spent more for accommodations that were comparable in mountain towns. Our room was one of the remodeled ones and came with fridge and microwave and we had no complaints about anything in the room. Great value for the money....my only beef with this place is the door locks....it felt like my toddler could kick the door down it was so flimsy.

Classic motel. Why stay at a chain, when these places still exist? The staff was really friendly, and the price can't be beat. Almost every room has a mountain view. Only drawbacks were that there weren't many electrical outlets, and the internet seemed slow.

Awesome motel for the price! The employees are extremely nice and can help you with anything you need. Stayed here for a week and have no regrets. Rooms are clean and spacious. The Wi-Fi isn't the best, but you're in Estes Park, you shouldn't be worrying about the Wi-Fi.

Great place, Great staff.  Just finished a 7 day stay in beautiful Estes Park.  The room had all the amenities you need at a moderate price.  Wifi, TV work great.  This lodge is on the same motel row as others charging $20-30 more per night.  Enjoyed my stay and will definitely visit them again when I am in Estes.

If you're not a primadonna or don't want to spend the money on the Stanley- STAY HERE.

Great price, we had a fridge and microwave in our room, a big, comfy bed and TV that wasn't the best- but who comes to Estes Park to watch TV? The view from the room was gorgeous, and we saw elk right outside!

Wifi connection sucks, but again, if you're coming to browse the internet, what's wrong with you? Use your phone, or just go to the lobby to look up whatever you need to.

Staff was also really nice. Will stay here again on my next visit.

Really good deal for the price. Pet friendly. Free wifi. Basic cable and wow first place we've been with a flat screen TV. Comfy beds. has a pool and hot tub. Our room was supposed to have a microwave but the micro fridge was good enough. It looks like these have recently been remodeled and it's pretty decent overall.
