After 22 years of hard work, which included rebuilding, remodeling, and providing tender loving care, Warren and Ruth sold the property to the current owners.

McGregor is the place to stay in Estes.   There are lots of places with cabins to rent, but nobody can duplicate the hospitality of the staff at McGregor.   Our kids absolutely love the two lodge dogs - Daisy and Tanner - they are great!

Great location - very close to Rocky Mountain National Park as well as a quick drive into downtown Estes Park.  The staff at McGregor are the best.  Very knowledgeable about hiking, camping, backpacking, photography, etc in the area.  Reasonable, competitive rates.  Wildlife viewing within the property.  Great views.

Playground on property for the kiddos.  Stocked kitchens.  Comfortable quarters.  Wi-Fi.  Good TV channel selections.  Cozy fireplaces.  Hot tub.  Game room in clubhouse.

I have been coming to Estes Park for the past nine years and McGregor Mountain Lodge is the most incredible place to stay!  The staff is very friendly and accommodating.  The views are simply breathtaking and it's right near RMNP.  In the summertime, the flowers are in full bloom and the birds and other critters are keeping you entertained!
I will never stay anywhere else in Estes Park and recommend you go stay for your self very soon!  You will be amazed!!!

Honestly, more than I'd normally pay, but worth it. Free cookies, private hot tub, wood burning fireplace, 'nuf said!

In love with this place. The owners are amazingly accommodating as are the cabins. Very clean and very cozy. I highly recommend it.

On the pricier side, but such a relaxing place! You'll be surrounded by many kinds of birds, due to their bird feeders. There's also elk and deer that visit often, a wood burning fireplace, a hot tub (didn't have the chance to use it, but it's indoors), and the kitchen which was nicely stocked. There's cookies and coffee/tea in the lobby. The location is very close to the North entrance of RMNP, which is really convenient.

Stayed in the "Fall River Run Chateau" with a large family. The cabin itself is very nice - A+ quality, good location, and INCREDIBLE view from the 2-tier balcony.

For those who can't survive well without WiFi, the connectivity is sub-par (not factored into the stars for this review though). There are 2 wireless routers, both sitting right next to each other up in the guest house, which end up providing somewhat poor reception for most of the cabin.

The cabin is pretty well furnished, though the downstairs beds are arranged poorly. One of the rooms (seems like a room designed for a couple) only has a full-size bed that's ridiculously high off the ground. There are also 2 queen size beds oddly squeezed into a hallway-size living room area.

The staff were very polite and kind while we were there, but on the day of our scheduled departure things turned a little south. There was no prior-communicated "check-out time" expected of us early in the morning, and we didn't leave until almost noon. The staff ended up rushing us out, as they had booked a new arrival that afternoon with very little time in between. This also became a problem for them when it came time to clean up and prepare the cabin for the next arrival. There was no massive mess, and no physical damage to anything - only some uneaten food left in the cabinets, some cleaned dishes that weren't put away, and a bed that was moved to another room (queen size, moved from hallway-size living area to use in place of the extra-high full size). All of this would have taken us no more than 15-30min to put completely back in place if we thought it was any kind of problem for them, but we didn't bother since they were rushing us out. Then after we had left, they call us complaining about the state that things were left in, and stated that they were going to keep our $500 deposit to cover having to "bring in 4 extra hands" to clean and turn-around the cabin for the next arrival.

I'd love to stay in this cabin again, but never under the current management.

Really enjoyed the cabins!  I was with a group that rented 3 cabins.  Staff was so friendly giving tips about wildlife and giving us cookies! There was even an elk that hangs around on the property, his name is Brat. Very clean. No complaints at all.
